have you ever been so lonely and alone that you wondered why god wants you to be alone it may be so frustrating not knowing and rather more confronting to know that he himself put you in this state and he knows just how you feel but he has put you exactly where you need to be at this time in your life friends and family may have left you even the ones you never thought could turn their backs on you were the first set to back out it probably all happened so fast and it left a big space in you but share up because god created this void in your heart that's only his to feel maybe all these people came into your life just to pull you away from him and they've kept you in the dark all these years so when life becomes meaningless boring and hard it's because we've been filling it up with anything but him and that void has to be occupied by him and him alone in the silence of the heart god speaks and if you have god in your prayer and silence god will still speak to you and then you will know that you are nothing because it's only when you realize your loneliness and nothingness and your emptiness that god can fill you with himself so let him [Music] no person no possession no profession or position can ever feel the cop of an empty heart it's an emptiness that only god can feel and sometimes god brings you to those places where it feels like you're alone because he just simply wants to call you out i want you to know that you're not forgotten i want you to know that you're not alone i want you to know that he hears you at some point in our lives we all have experienced the feeling of being alone to be alone does not always have to mean staying in an empty room with no one else but yourself because sometimes even when you're with other people's company you still get that feeling of loneliness and so one of the telling things about being a christian no matter how new the claim might be is a newfound understanding and appreciation for being by yourself sometimes as christians we have to be alone sometimes we have to withdraw from the crowd like jesus did and commit to the lord in prayer [Music] yes there's a time to have fellowship with other believers but there's also a time to have fellowship with our lord [Music] feeling alone is a time where we can build a stronger relationship with the lord by drawing closer to him in prayer only god can feel this emptiness i want you to understand that god wants you to talk to him like you would to a friend and he would not turn you away the peace that god gives us when our focus is on him is unexplainable his peace makes you stop worrying about everyone and anything else that is troubling you he reminds us that he loves us and that we are not to worry because he would take care of us and so if we focus on god if we keep our focus on god we would know and understand that we are never alone and god is always close by and he is near right now and god is working our life for his purposes [Music] so we never have to think that he's far because his holy presence goes before us so close your eyes and take a deep breath you can feel his presence it's almost patience and now you realize what you've been taking for granted and now you can feel those otherwise lonely moments with the truth you can feel it with the truth that you're surrounded by the ever-present crowd of one the key is knowing that you've always got that one present companion with you and this is what he wants you to achieve by making you lonely matthew chapter 29 verse 20 says teaching them to observe all things whatsoever i have commanded them to do and lo i am with you always even unto the end of the world amen be encouraged in the loving presence of your savior knowing that he always stands by you one characteristic of healthy adoring marriages is that the husband and wife will see that they carve out their intimate time alone and so even with a home full of kids and a revolving door of guests [Music] they spend time together they spend time loving up on one another and so is the vibrant believer with our lord [Music] one delight amongst others in the born again heart is to prioritize and create seasons to be alone with god to hear from him in his word and to respond in prayer so recall the example that the savior said for us in matthew chapter 14 verses 23 when he had sent the multitude away he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the evening was calm he was there alone a lonely day is god's way of saying that he wants to spend some quality time with you so you are never left alone when you are alone with god everything that is created comes out of silence your thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence your mind comes out of this void and your very essence emerges from emptiness now all this creativity requires some form of stillness or the other and so your goals and ambitions may set you apart from the rest and you may need to stay alone to science this and so god wants you to reach your goals so he wants you to be alone it's far better to be alone than to be with those who hinder your progress it's often said that if you want to go fast go alone and if you want to go far go together so god might just be in the fast and only god realizes that god realizes that for you to go alone you need to go light and you need to go fast so therefore if you find yourself alone you have a better understanding of it and you will feel less lonely god is trying to build a sense of independence although not independence from him but independent from man the bible says cursed is he that puts his trust in man and so for every time you put your trust in man haven't you seen that it fails for every time you trusted that man for every time you trusted that woman for every time you trusted that boy or girl what did it get you failure upon failure it got your disappointment upon disappointment it got you disappointed so please put your trust in god that's the main reason why he wants you to be alone that's the main reason why those things you've tried out haven't worked out that's the main reason why that person you said you trusted let you down that's the main reason why it seemed as though everything was going right but then something went wrong and you guys just split up that man you thought you could not live without that woman you thought you could not live without finally left she left you he left you that business you thought was your life you got fired from it well guess what you're still alive so if god wants you to be alone he wants to birth something in you those periods of loneliness are the best periods of a man's life believe it or not those are the times where you really get to do some soul-searching jesus loved the quiet time he loved the lonely quiet time he loved those times where man could communicate with his lover and his god [Music] so please and please [Music] if god is taking people out of your life if you see that people are just leaving you unnecessarily and you know there is nothing wrong on your path just keep it in mind that god is trying to separate you away from them the bible says come up from them and be ye separate god is trying to make you separate something that is different may be despised but at one point that thing that is being despised will be honored so god is trying to set you up for honor so when you feel lonely just know that god is setting you apart to set you up for something great [Music] so don't feel lonely don't feel depressed [Music] god is on the throne so let him feel that space and let him swell up in you let him occupy more let him occupy more and more rooms in you and remember that this god is a big god [Music] i see you coming out
