I am as well. Open your bibles with me to Genesis
chapter 1 begin with verse one that we are starting at the beginning and today's message
is entitled, who or what is the Set-apart Spirit? today because of the our emphasis today
is on the Ministry of the Set-apart Spirit many people are asking the question who is the Set-apart
Spirit or why is the Set-apart Spirit so we're going to get into description realm in the
scripture defines the Set-apart Spirit for us amen Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and is that
in the beginning heavily created the heavens and the earth and the earth came to be or the earth
became formless and empty and darkness was on the face of the deep the next sentence and the spirit
of felony so whose Spirit was moving the Spirit of early in other words the Spirit of YAH Spirit
the Father so the Spirit of Father was moving on the face of the waters and Elohim said let
life come to be enlightening to be now I want to remind you what He said Elohim is Spirit and they
that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth so you can't separate from Elohim's
Spirit while people do that but we see from the very beginning that Elohim being His Spirit was moving
on the face of the waters and helping them stay because He is Spirit He said that my and
came to be and then we see in Genesis chapter 2 start of the seventh that the spirit of life
is the spirit of the Father in other words the Father's breath, Ruach in Hebrew means breath or
wind so we see in Genesis chapter 2 the verse 7 says in YAH Elohim forward that the man's
we have done out of the dust of the ground and breathed into His nostrils breath of lives or you
say the Breath of Life the wind or the Spirit the Ruach and the man became a living being so how
was the Adam created? The Almighty formed him as a bug man he basically carved him out of dirt
and he was nothing but there until hell breeding thee His Ruach His breath is when the breath
of life into the dirt and without the dirt and so how was a Adam created by the Breath of
Life by the Spirit of the Father amen the Spirit of life so we go on to Genesis chapter 20 and we
picked up the first five and we see that Abraham had the Spirit of the Father on him in other words he
was a problem he realized that the scripture says that Abraham was a prophet this is chapter 20 verse
5 says did he not say to me she is my sister this is a building speed talking about Sarah and she
even she herself said he is my brother in the integrity of my heart and in the innocence of
my hands I've done this and Eliyahu said to him in a dream yes I know that you did this in the
integrity of your heart and so I kept you from sinning against me for this reason I did not let
you touch her and now return advance wife for he is a what is the prophet in other words he has
the Spirit of the Father upon these the night that he speaks the words of the Father he's
a prophet and let them pray for you and you live but if you do not return her know that you shall
certainly die you and all that are yours and so by returning them Sarah are Rahab and prayed for his
household and those who were sick for me well the Almighty said if you don't honor this prophet you
don't return this wife then you will die and all that outdoors and so how does a person become they
receive an anointing we're going to see that you can't separate the anointed one from the words if
Elohim that Elohim and His Spirit His breath the wind that comes out of His mouth His words are
old wine can't get parse them and you'll find the scripture that would person's anointed of
the Spirit then that person begins to speak the words of Elohim and
we're going to see that played out as well in the so Mosheh was also anointed
by the Spirit of following a necessity became an elohim of a growth and
often was this product so that's what a death pass this is Exodus chapter 17 verse 1 so God said
to both chefs see I have made unit Elohim to favor that's a little ele this is not talking about
motion becoming equal with YAH but in the eyes of favor of Mosheh was like now
the only way that can happen is for something like I have the Spirit of YAH on them and to speak
the words of young and most people have also a problem undaunted the eye with the Spirit of YAH
speaking the words of YAH and because he was a like a elohim a mighty one to Pharaoh
because on saying I hope your brother is your problem you just be all that I command you and I
hope your brother shall speak to favor to let the children Yisra'el to go about his land but I am
going to heart the heart of Pharaoh and shall increase my side and my wonders in the land of
Israel and so we see but we should be delighted by the Spirit he's speaking the words of a Elohim
Pharaoh sees him as the elohim and prophet as well speaking the words building and then we
see an Exodus chapter 4 verse 16 YAH speaking here. It says, "And he," Speaking of Aharon. "shall
speak for you for you Mosheh to the people and it shall be that he shall be a mouth for you and you
shall be an elohim for him." And so here again this passage says that Mosheh is going to be a elohim to his brother Aharon. Aharon is going to be his prophet, he's going to speak for him in certain
instances but because of the anointing that's upon him, Aharon is going to see Mosheh as a
elohim and so this shows us that there are some instances in the scripture that when people get
anointed by the breath of the Almighty the the wind of the Almighty, the Ruach, the Spirit of YAH.
Then they are seen by people as being a elohim. All right now Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse
15 is a remarkable passage and this is Mosheh speaking and it says this, "YAH your Elohim shall
raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst from your brothers listen to Him or Shema here so
Mosheh was a prophet he was anointed the Spirit of YAH he spoke the words of YAH," And here Mosheh is
prophesying that there's coming another Prophet like him, in other words, this Prophet to come
will be anointed in the same way that Mosheh was anointed and will have the Spirit of YAH
upon Him and He will speak the words of YAH to the people. Verse 18 this is YAH speaking, "I shall
raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers," This speaking of Yeshua. "and
I shall put my words in His mouth implying by my Spirit," He's going to have my Spirit upon Him, He's
going to have my breath in Him. When you have the breath of YAH in you you're going to speak the
words of YAH. "and He shall speak to them all that I command Him and it shall be the man who does not
listen to My words," Whose words? YAH's words. "which He speaks," This Prophet like Mosheh, Yeshua. "in My Name
I require it of Him." And so we learn a lot about Yeshua by looking at Mosheh, Yeshua was very much
like Mosheh. Yeshua became superior to Mosheh but Moshe was an anointed prophet who had the breath
of the Almighty within him and spoke the words of the Almighty was seen as a elohim to
Pharaoh, to his brother Aharon, and Yeshua is also prophetic and powerful and anointed by the
Spirit and He has the words of YAH in hSs mouth and speaks forth YAH's words. The scripture says
in these last days under this new covenant we are spoken to by the Son by Yeshua. So let's move
along here first Kings chapter 17 and verse 1, this is going to tell us about Eliyahu or Elijah and
I'm wanting to build a foundation to show you that when these prophets were anointed by the
Spirit. It was the Spirit of the Father that came upon them and they spoke the words of the Father.
First Kings chapter 17 verse 1, "And Eliyahu the Tishbite of the inhabitants of Gil'ad said to Ahab
"As YAH Elohim of Yisra'el lives before whom I stand there shall be no dew or rain these years except
at my word," Well he's speaking the words of YAH by the Spirit of YAH. "and the word of YAH came to
him saying," So the word of YAH came by the Spirit of YAH you can't separate the word of YAH and
the Spirit of YAH so when he got anointed by the Spirit of YAH he received the Word of YAH. Verse 3
"Go away from here and turned eastward and hide by the wadi kerith which flows into the Yarden, and
it shall be that you drink from the stream and I shall command the ravens to feed you there." and he
went and did according to the word of YAH." Again he received the Spirit of YAH, the Spirit of YAH spoke
the word of YAH, and he received these instructions and he obeyed those instructions. It says, "For he
went and dwelt by the wadi kerith which flows into the Yarden and the ravens brought him bread and
meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the stream and it came
to be that after a while that the stream dried up because there had been no rain in the land," Verse 8
"then the Word of YAH came to him saying," Again the Spirit of YAH spoke to him. "Rise up, go to sorrow
faith which belongs to seat on and dwell there see I have commanded a widow there to sustain you."
And so it is again the Spirit or the Breath of YAH speaking to the prophet and he is then obeying
what he hears from the Spirit of YAH. We see the same type of thing happening with Yermiyahu or
Jeremiah and we can go to Jeremiah chapter 1 begin with verse 4, it says, "The Word of YAH came to Yermiyahu," It says,
"Now the word of YAH came to me," This is Jeremiah speaking, or you could say the Spirit of YAH. "spoke
to me before I formed you in the belly, I knew you and before you came out of the womb I did set you
apart, I appointed you a prophet to the nations and said, I, our Master YAH, see I do not know how to
speak for I am a youth," This is Jeremiah's response. "and YAH said to me," He said by His Spirit. "Do not
say, I am a youth, but go to all to whom I send you and speak whatever I command you, do not fear their
faces for I am with you to deliver you." declares YAH. Then YAH put forth His hand and touched my
mouth and YAH said to me, "See I have put My Words in your mouth, see I have this day set you over the
nations and over the reigns, to root out and to pull down to destroy and to overthrow to build and to
plant."" And so we see here also the Spirit of the Father, the Spirit of YAH interacting with the one
that He would make His prophet, touching His mouth, putting His breath within him so that he speaks
for the words of YAH. Again you cannot separate YAH from His Spirit so when we talk about the Spirit
of YAH, the Spirit of Elohim, we're talking about the essence the Spirit a part of the Almighty being
given to someone to make that person a prophet and be prophetic, and by the way, when you get anointed
by the Spirit of YAH you don't speak your own words, you don't go around speak in your own words,
you speak the very words of YAH. It's like you've taken in His breath and with His breath
He speaks His words. Amen, so we see the same thing with Ezekiel in Ezekiel chapter one
beginning with verse one, it says, "And it came to be in the thirtieth year in the fourth month on the
fifth of the new moon as I was among the exiled by the River Kebar the heavens were opened and I
saw visions of Elohim on the fifth of the new moon in the fifth year of Sovereign the whole kings
exile the word of YAH came expressly to Yeḥezqĕl the priest the son of Buzi in the land of the
Kasdim by the River of Kebar." And the hand of YAH came upon him there. All right so the hand of YAH
came upon this one to become a prophet this was the Spirit of YAH who came upon him the Spirit of
YAH's breath, His spirit, the Spirit of the Father that came upon Ezekiel to make him a prophet, all
right. And then we go on a little further, here we see Isaiah chapter 61 and verse 1 we see Yeshayahu
or Isaiah speaks of the anointing that was on him, what was the anointing on him? Where did it come
from? Whose anointing was it? It says, "The Spirit of the Master YAH," So let's not be confused about
the Spirit, the Spirit of Elohim is the Spirit of the Master YAH, in other words, the Father Spirit.
We're gonna see that over and over and over again in the Scripture. "the Spirit of the Master YAH," Is
there anyone else called YAH in the Scripture? YAH is the Father, the Spirit of the Master YAH is
upon me, Yeshayahu says. Whose Spirit is upon him? The Spirit of the Father is upon him. "...because
YAH has anointed me with His Spirit to bring good news to the meek, He has sent me to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are
bound to proclaim the acceptable year of YAH, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim to comfort
all the mourn to a point unto those who mourn and see on to give them embellishment for ashes or
beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Now
some would say this is just Yeshayahu prophesying about the anointing of Mashiach but I would say
this is Yeshayahu declaring his own anointing, the anointing that was on him because it was from
the Spirit of YAH, it was the the breath of YAH that came inside of him and he was empowered to
declare this message in other words to bring Good News to the meek, sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
preach deliverance to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind to set at liberty those who are
oppressed to preach the acceptable year of YAH. Now when I say all that together what does that remind
you of? Who else said the exact same thing? You see this is not Yeshayahu prophesying about Yeshua's anointing, this is Yeshayahu declaring his own anointing and when Yeshua came along and He
stood in the synagogue on that Shabbat they handed Him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, Yeshayahu,
and He turned to the place where it was written about Himself, He turned to this exact passage, and
He quoted the same anointing. It's not a different anointing, it's the same anointing. It's the Spirit
of the Father on a human being to be anointed to bring this Good News to the poor and so let's take
a look at it Luke chapter 6 started in verse 16. "And He, Yeshua, came to Nazareth where He had been
brought up and according to His practice He went into the congregation on the Sabbath day and
stood up to read and the scroll of the prophet Yeshayahu was handed to Him and having unrolled the
scroll He found the place where it was written." Now I must take a moment and just talk about how
this is such a miracle, the perfect timing of the Almighty, because we know that Yeshua went to
Yohanan the Immerser at the Yarden was baptized in the river when He came up out of the
water began to pray and as He was praying there was a voice from the heavenly saying, this is my
beloved Son in whom I'm well pleased, and then we see a dove coming, it's the Ruach, it's the Spirit
of the Father in the form of a dove that that lands upon Him and remains upon Him and
then He is led by the Spirit into the wilderness where He's there for forty days and He's fasting
and He's coming under attack by the evil one and He destroys every attack of the evil one
by quoting the Torah and they don't encourage you because that's exactly what He quoted, He quoted
the Torah every time so there's devil defeating power in quoting the Torah, so if you go around as
religion abolishing the Torah you maybe abolishing the power that you have against the enemy, the evil
one, amen, so you don't want to do that. So after He overcame the evil one, the scripture says He went
to His hometown and He went into the synagogue on the Shabbat and at that point they had divided
up the Torah into portions and the rabbis had divided it up as a means of getting the people to
read it through regularly and for it to be read in the in the synagogues and so they didn't just
hand Him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah and and hH looked through the whole thing to find
something significant about Himself, the portion that was read in the synagogues was this portion
because they wanted Him to read the Torah portion or read a part of the portion and the prophets
and He didn't just come up with something on his own, this is a miracle of the perfect timing of
the Almighty that that very day when He was the synagogue on the Sabbath this part of the portion
was to be read and they handed Him the scroll and He turned to the portion that was to be read
that day and it's Isaiah 61 and so He reads it. "The Spirit of YAH is upon Me because He has anointed
Me to bring the Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted to proclaim release
to the captives and the recovery of sight to the blind to send away crushed ones with a release to
proclaim the acceptable year of YAH." And notice it says, "In having rolled up the scroll He gave it
back to the attendant and sat down and the eyes of all the congregation were fixed upon Him and
He began to say to them, "Today, this scripture has been filled in your hearing." In other words, He's
saying this anointing that was on Yeshayahu, this anointing that was on Isaiah is the anointing
that's on me, I have the Spirit of the Father , the breath of the Father within me, I'm going to
speak His words. I've been anointed to bring the Good News to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind to set at liberty those who are
oppressed and preach the acceptable year of YAH. And so Yeshua quotes Yeshayahu when He declares
the anointing that's upon Him. Now what Spirit is on Yeshua? The Spirit of the Father. Whenever
Yeshua talks about the Ruach HaKodesh, think about it when you think about what we've read in
the book of Revelation we get to look at what goes on around the Throne Room, when you have the
four living creatures and the elders and the angels and what are the four living creatures
always saying in worship to the Father? Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, or your bible may say
holy, holy, holy. What's the Spirit called? Set- apart Spirit, the Spirit is set apart because it's
the Spirit of the Set-apart One, it's the Spirit of the Father that's why the Spirit is called the
Set-apart Spirit. It's the Spirit of the Father and the Spirit of the Father was on Isaiah and
Isaiah 61 when he declared that anointing on himself the Spirit of the Father was on Yeshua. And
then we see Yoel or Joel speaking of the Spirit of YAH being poured out, you know what's amazing
is that? Whenever somebody just starts talking about the truth of this oftentimes people just sit
silently in amazement because religion has taught so many different things and when we come across
the truth it's amazing sometimes but we're gonna read Joel chapter 2 beginning with
verse 28 and Joel or Yoel talks about the Spirit of YAH the Father being poured out. This is YAH
speaking, "And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh," Whose spirit's poured
out on all flesh? The Father's Spirit, YAH's Spirit. He says, I will pour out my Spirit, in other words
a piece of me, I'm gonna put my Spirit. Now anybody wants to try to explain it beyond that they've
got a mountainous problem on their hands because it's something that goes beyond our finite minds
and some things are mysteries we ought to just leave them as mysteries but we can learn certain
things from the scripture we know that the Spirit is the Spirit of YAH, it's the Spirit of the
Father because YAH in communicating through the Prophet Yoel, says after this, I shall or out
my spirit on all flesh of whosoever will and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your old
men dream dreams, your young men see visions. Now Yoel's perspective here is only one, he is an
original Hebrew prophet when he thinks about a prophet prophesying, now what is the activity
of a prophet that's anointed by the Spirit of the Father? He only has one perspective and that is
the perspective of all of the Hebrew prophets, all that went before him including himself. So he's
prophesying of a time really after the death, burial and resurrection of Yeshua when after
Yeshua ascends to the right hand the scripture says that Yeshua is the one who pours out
the Spirit of the Father upon believers, it's for whosoever will if you believe in Yeshua and
you desire to receive the Spirit of the Father you will receive the Spirit of the Father and and
that's in fulfillment of the promise that YAH made to Abraham and to Abraham's Seed, the
Mashiach, that through Avraham and the Mashiach all the nations will have this wonderful blessing of
the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit if they believe in Yeshua and submit to the Spirit then they'll be
empowered by the Spirit they'll have the Spirit of the Father come in them and literally you
can't make this stuff up, this is the Scripture speaking to our highest potential, every believer
can be and it's the will of the Father that they are empowered with the same Ruach, with the same
Breath, with the same Wind, with the same Spirit of the Father that the original Hebrew prophets had.
Listen to this prophecy. "See after this," Again after the death, burial, resurrection and ascension
of Yeshua. "it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters
shall," What? "prophesy." Now do you believe this is talking about your sons and daughters? Your sons
and daughters will prophesy. What is the context of this Hebrew prophet, when he thinks about sons
and daughters prophesy what is he thinking? He's thinking within the context of the original
Hebrew prophets, in other words, the Almighty is going to make your sons and daughters like
Elijah, and Elisha, and Jeremiah, and Ezekiel and Daniel, amen? Do you belong to a covenant that is a
better covenant based on better promises? So this is the Almighty speaking to our highest potential,
He says, your sons and daughters shall prophesy, He goes on to say, your old men will dream dreams,
who dreamt dreams? The prophets dreamt dreams so your old men are going to be prophets, they're
going to dream dreams like the original Hebrew prophets, your young men are going to see visions
who saw visions the prophets saw visions and this says your young men are going to have visions but
it's not just the men it goes on to say and also on the male servants and the female servants.
I shall pour out a spirit? Some spirit? Some created spirit that religion is fabricated? Whose
spirit? My Spirit, YAH's Spirit, the Father Spirit. "I will pour out My Spirit." They're going to get my
breath, they're going to get the Ruach, the wind of the Father, and they're going to be anointed to
do what? Prophesy. Now what's that talking about? Is that some charismatic you know somebody that
their eyes roll back in the back of their head and you know, it's some sort of wild mystical thing? Is
that what He's talking about here? No, to prophesy, simply to speak the words of YAH, to proclaim His
words, to declare His words. If you're prophesying you are declaring His Word. You can prophesy and
I do it every week and I don't have to give you the King James, thus says the Lord, you know the
way that religion has taught it, when I get up and declare in the anointing what the Word says
I'm prophesying, I don't ever have to depart from the Word, the written Word. And honestly, I believe
there's way too many excesses. People that are proclaiming themselves to be prophets when really
they're nonprofits, amen? A whole bunch of stuff being said that could just fall into this huge general
category, you could say that thing to anybody. If you use broad enough strokes then everybody
will connect with something that you just said. We not we need to get beyond foolishness in these
days that we're living in, amen, and we need to get back to the Word and we need to be anointed to
preach the Word, if you get anointed to preach the Word you are prophesying and you're prophesying
with the Spirit of YAH upon you putting you in a similar category as those original Hebrew
prophets. Honestly, you have a greater anointing than that but my job has been for several years
now, to try to prophesy proclaim something that people don't want to hear or they don't believe
about themselves that they think about Elijah and Elisha and Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel and they think, aw
man I could never be like that - no, you need to be greater than that. You need to be greater than that,
amen? It says, "And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out My Spirit
in those days and we are living in those days and I shall give signs in the heavens and upon the
earth blood and fire and columns of smoke the sun is turned into darkness and the moon into blood
before the coming of the great and awesome day of YAH and it shall be that everyone who calls on
the Name of YAH shall be delivered." Alright now we know that this very passage is quoted by Peter on
the day of Shavu'ot, he quotes the exact same verses and says that's what's happening when the day of
Shavu'ot had fully come they were in one place in one court became a sound as a rushing mighty wind
to fill the whole house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues of
fire that set upon each one of them and they were all filled with the Set-apart Spirit and began to
speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance, this was not unknown tongues, not that
day this was speaking in languages that they'd never learned. So what happened? Well the Spirit
of the Father came upon believers and what did they begin to prophesy? They began to proclaim the
works of the Almighty in many different languages and so again, it's the Spirit of Abba, it's the Spirit
of the Father. It's His breath, it's the Wind of the Father, it's the Words of the Father, amen?I've got to
keep moving here. Let's go a little further, John chapter 7 starting with verse 37 Yeshua speaks
of the believers receiving the Spirit of YAH. This is Yeshua now speaking, it says, "On the last
day the great day of the festival Yeshua stood and cried out saying, "If anyone thirsts let him
come to Me and let him who believes in Me drink. As the Scripture said, out of His innermost," This
is talking about the Messiah's innermost. "shall flow rivers of living water, and this He said
concerning the Spirit," What Spirit? Did something suddenly change? Are we talking about a different
spirit? Are we talking about the Spirit of someone else or something else? Does all the Bible agree?
So when Yeshua was talking about the Spirit He's talking about the Spirit of His Father. "And this He
said concerning the Spirit, the Spirit of YAH, which those believing in Him, in Yeshua, were about to
receive for the Set-apart Spirit," You remember what the four living creatures said around the throne?
Set apart, set apart, set apart. They were worshiping the Father saying, holy, holy, holy, so His Spirit is
going to be set apart. "And this He said concerning the Spirit which those believing in Him were
about to receive for the Set-apart Spirit was not yet given because Yeshua was not yet esteemed," Or
glorified, other translations say or resurrected basically is what it's talking about. So Yeshua had
to be resurrected and ascend to the right hand and then the scripture says He poured out, what was
poured out on the day of Shavu'ot in Acts chapter two and that was in fulfillment of the promise,
the promise of the Father is the promise of the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit, in other words the
the Spirit of the Father coming into believers changing everything, giving you the want to and
the power to be obedient taking the Torah and writing it upon your mind and heart, giving you the
love of YAH, the love of YAH or the love of Elohim has been shed abroad in our hearts, what's the rest
of that verse? By the Set-apart Spirit. So how you gonna get the love of Elohim if that Spirit
is a different spirit? You can get the love of Elohim because it's Elohim Spirit that comes in,
you get a piece of Elohim living in you, and giving you His love and then He empowers you,
gives you a worry-free witness, gives you power to go out and to preach the Good News in all the
world. The fruit of the Spirit then is born in the believers life and the gifts of the Spirit can be
in operation in the believers life all coming from the Spirit of the Father. Can you say amen? Now,
John 14 starting with verse 15 Yeshua said, "If you love Me you shall guard My commands." So obedience
is how Yeshua measures if a person loves Him or not, if someone desires to obey then Yeshua will
ask the Father to give that person a Helper and the Helper is the Spirit of the Father who comes
inside of him to help him obey. Now I'm gonna say something really interesting, the term "the Helper"
is not a name folks, it's a job description. We will want to separate the Spirit from the Father and
we want to call Him different things and call Him the Helper and that's not His Name, the Helper
is not His Name, the Helper is His job description. He helps the believer to obey, can you say amen? You
know this passage, we quote it every week when we come together as Ezekiel chapter 36 beginning
with verse 25. "And I shall sprinkle clean water on you you shall be clean from all your filthiness
and from all your idols I cleanse you and I shall give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within
you and I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh and I shall give you a heart of flesh
and put," Whose Spirit? Now this is YAH speaking through Ezekiel and the Father says He's going
to put His Spirit within you. "and I shall calls you to walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings
and you shall do them." All right so the Spirit of the Father coming inside a believer gives that
believer the want to obey and the power to obey, all right? That's why Yeshua said if you love me
you will obey my commands. Now what commands is He talking about? He taught in Matthew chapter 5
that He did not come to destroy the Torah or the prophets and He talked about these commands, we
need to obey these commands, He's talking about Torah commands, Yeshua was the ultimate Torah
teacher, they didn't get any finer than Yeshua. Yeshua taught the Torah by favor in the Spirit, He
taught us how to live out the Torah by favoring the Spirit, He was the ultimate Torah teacher and
so we see here the new birth experience is that that heart of resistance and rebellion is taken
out of us because of the Ruach, the Spirit of the Father, and we get a new heart and then the Spirit
of the Father also gives us power, power to do what? Obey. So "the helper" is not His name, the hHlper is
His job description, it's what He does. He helps us. Alright back to John 14 verse 16. "And I shall ask
the Father and He shall give you another Helper," Yeshua was the original Helper, the Spirit of the
Father will be their Helper after Yeshua departs to the right hand. Again, not a name a job
description. And to Helper, the One who will help you be obedient, will stay with you forever.
So who is Yeshua going to ask to send the Helper? The Father. Now doesn't that make sense? If it's the
Father's Spirit when you ask the Father to give of His Spirit to believers in Yeshua? What Spirit do
you want? Do you want some made-up religious spirit or do you want the one that was promised by Yoel
that in the last days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, sons and daughters will prophesy,
young men will see visions, old men will dream dreams, upon my men servants of my maidservant I
will pour out My Spirit in those days and they shall prophesy. Amen? Notice He says, "And I shall
ask the Father if you have a heart to obey Me," If you have a heart to obey my teachings, do we
obey Him when we don't obey His teachings? Do you get to call yourself someone who obeys when
you cherry pick what you obey? He was a Torah teacher, if you're not obeying the Torah you're not
obeying Yeshua and He said if you have a heart to obey I'm going to ask the Father to give you a
Helper and what is the Helper to do? Help you. Oh we need help to obey, don't we? What was the reason
why the original covenant was broken? Disobedience. The Almighty said, and you shall and you shall and
you shall you shall get the word, my word in your heart, you shall write it on your gates and on
your doorpost and you shall teach your children and your grandchildren and you shall talk about my
word and you shall and you shall and you shall you shall, and they didn't. They were disobedient, so the
Almighty doesn't want another failed marriage so He does something very special, He promises the
Indwelling Set-apart Spirit to those who would believe in Yeshua, you don't get the Indwelling
Set-apart Spirit unless you believe in Yeshua. You can say well I've got religion and I have
the Spirit but you're just talking you have to believe in Yeshua to receive the promise
of the Father and the promise then comes to help you in your desire to be obedient and because we
have the Spirit within us that is our guarantee for success in the Covenant, He doesn't want
another failed marriage so He provides the Set-apart Spirit who is the Helper, who helps us
to be obedient and keeps us in obedience in the Covenant so that the Covenant is successful so
that we love Yeshua the way He wants to be loved by obedience. He said if you love me
keep my Commandments, now does Yeshua just have one or two commandments? That's what a lot of
people in religion would say, well you just got two commandments, they'll say love God and love people -
what does that mean? Do you get to define what that means? Those are broad categories. Love Elohim, if
you want to know how to love Elohim look at the ten words and that boils down an even larger body
of commandments called the Torah Commandments, so you have the two, the ten, the total. The reality
is the more you obey the more set apart you are and it's about set-apartness because without
set-apartness no one will see the Master. So how do you get set apart? By submitting to the
Set-apart Spirit of the Father and allowing Him to give you help, the help you need to be obedient.
Can you say amen? Then you're letting your light so shine that men and women would see your good works,
your obedience to the Torah, and have a desire to glorify your Abba who's in the heavenlies. Amen? "I
shall ask the Father and He shall give you another Helper," Yeshua was the original Helper, they're
going to need another Helper when Yeshua leaves and the Helper is the Spirit of the Sather and
the Spirit of the Father is going to stay with you forever. Notice verse 17. "The Spirit of the
truth," Now we know from Scripture that the Torah is the truth. Psalm 119:142 "Your righteousness is
righteousness forever and Your Torah is truth." So the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of the Torah.
I don't know if you've ever heard that before, you can't separate the Father and His Breath
and His Word and His truth from the Torah. If you abolish the Torah then you're abolishing His
Word, you're abolishing His truth, you're abolishing His Breath, you're abolishing His Wind. They're
all one and the same, you can't parse them out. So the Spirit of the truth is the Spirit of the
Torah. John chapter 6 and verse 63 Yeshua said, "It is the Spirit," Implying the Spirit of my Father.
"that gives life, the flesh does not profit at all. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and
life." You can't separate the words of YAH from the Spirit of YAH. You can't separate the words of YAH
from the Spirit of YAH and from the life of YAH. The Spirit of YAH helps us to be obedient it
helps us to obey His Word, to receive His life. All right let's read it all together. "And
I shall ask the Father and He shall give you another Helper," Again not a name, a job
description. "to stay with you forever. The Spirit of the Truth whom the world is
unable to receive because it does not see Him or know Him," Now can you separate
Elohim who is Spirit from Elohim's Spirit? Can you separate Elohim who is Spirit from
Elohim's Spirit? No. And so when it says, when Yeshua says, because the world does not see Him or
know Him, you immediately from a Western perspective kind of default to this is talking about the
Spirit, the Helper, whatever your perspective of that is whatever your understanding of that
is but the spirit of YAH is YAH and so the scripture says, no man has seen Elohim at any
time, the only begotten who's in the bosom of the Father has revealed Him, and so you can
see it this way, "because the world does not see Him or know Him," Who does the world not see
or know? The Father. The world doesn't see or know the Father. The world will not see or know
the Spirit of the Father, isn't that right? The world is unable to receive because it does
not see Him or know Him. We quoted this earlier in John chapter 4 verse 23. "But the hour is coming,"
And now is this is Yeshua speaking. "when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit
and truth for the Father does seek such to worship Him, Elohim is Spirit and those who worship Him
need to worship Him in spirit and truth." Elohim is Spirit, He is a spirit, His Spirit is Him. Now
again, if you want to try to explain that that's why people have argued over this for 2,000 years
sometimes. We get beyond our ability to completely and clearly explain certain matters, we just have
to leave it as a mystery but we also have to take the word for what it says and not be duped by
something made up that religion is made up to try to explain the unexplainable, can you say amen?
It says, "But you know Him for He stays with you and shall be in you." Well if you have the Spirit
of the Father in you who do you have in you? Well that one's not too hard, almost sounds like a
loaded or trick question. If you have the Spirit of the Father in you who do you have in you? Did He
not say I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh? "but you know Him for He stays with you and shall
be in you I shall not leave you orphans, I am coming to you, yet a little while and the world
no longer sees Me but you shall see Me because I live and you shall live in that day you shall
know that I am in My Father and you and Me and I in you." He's in the Father, the Father was in
Him, we are in Him, He is in us, the Father is in us, we are in the Father. Amen, that is if we keep
our side of the covenant and have a belief that produces obedience. All right, let's go just
a little bit further and then I'm going to close this for today and we may have to pick
up in a future of time. Look at verse 21. "He who possesses My commands and guards them it is he
who loves Me and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father and I shall love him and manifest
Myself to him. Yehudah, or Judas, not the one from Qerioth, said to Him, "Master, what has come about
that you are about to manifest yourself to us and not to the world ?" Yeshua answered him, "If anyone
loves Me, he shall guard or obey My Word and My Father shall love him,"" That's because His Word
and the Father's Word are one, folks. You cannot separate the Word of Yeshua from the Word of the
Father. Yeshua did not come to speak His own word. Don't make out Yeshua to come up with some new
word, religion does that. He did not come to speak His own new unique word, He came to echo the word
of His Father. He said, the words that I speak are not my own, I didn't come with my own agenda but I
speak the words of Him who sent me, He didn't come to bring anything new, He came to reveal to us
how to obey the original word by favoring the Spirit. Can you say good amen? Now I know of one
instance where Yeshua said I want you to love the way I have loved you, all right, and He was
talking about a self-sacrificing love. In other words, the way I'm going to display love when I
go to the tree and die that's the kind of love I want you to have for your brothers and sisters
but the idea of love your neighbor as yourself is rooted in the Torah, can you say amen? So it may
seem like it's a new commandments but it's not. All right? Verse 22 "Yehudah or Judas not the one from Qerioth
said to Him, "Master, what has come about that You are about to manifest Yourself to us and not to
the world?" Yeshua answered him, "If anyone loves Me he shall guard or obey My word and My Father
shall love him," It's because the Torah said if you love me keep my Commandments, the Father said
that. "and we shall come to him and make our stay with him." See the Father is going to come by His
Spirit and Yeshua's in the Father so the two come together, it's a package deal in essence. He who
does not love me does not guard my words, that's pretty clear, and what were His words? He was
the ultimate Torah teacher and the word which you hear is not mine but of the Father who sent
me because Yeshua was anointed by the Father's Spirit, He spoke the Father's words. That's how
that happens, that's how that works. The Spirit of Truth, the spirit of the Torah, the Father's words
were in His mouth. These words I've spoken to you while still with you but the Helper, or the one
who helps you be obedient again, not a name but a job description, the Set-apart Spirit or you
could say the Spirit of the Set-apart One, the Father, whom the Father shall send in my Name,
you're going to get the Father's Spirit because if you have a heart to obey Yeshua said I'm gonna
ask the Father to send you His Spirit and when He sends you His Spirit you're gonna get His breath,
you're gonna get the wind of the Spirit that comes from the Father, you can get His words, His
words are Spirit and they are life, and what are you gonna do? You're gonna prophesy, you're gonna
prophesy just like the original Hebrew prophets. But Yeshua said talking about Yohanan the
Immerser, He said out of all of those prophets that came before Yohanan, Yohanan was the greatest,
did He say that but then He speaks to our highest potential again, what does He say? But the least
in the kingdom is greater than Yohanan. What? Yohanan was greater than Mosheh? Yeshua
said that Yohanan was greater than Yeshayahu? Eliyahu? Yermiyahu? And so on and so forth.
Yohanan was the greatest of all of those but Yeshua says the least in the kingdom, He didn't
even say the greatest one among us in the New Covenant is greater than all those original
Hebrew prophets, He said the least among you who are in my kingdom is greater than Yohanan
greater than John is that because you have some strange spirit, is that because you have some
religious spirit, is that because you bought into some doctrine of men who tried to explain
things that are unexplainable? Or is it because you received the Spirit of the Father who lives
in you and gives you His breath and gives you His words and gives you His wind and gives you
His life? He can't separate those things and when you have all those things then, according to Yoel, you can prophesy and you can see visions and dream dreams, and so we have a whole nation
of people see we read it up on a few occasions, you know we read about Jeremiah, we read about
Isaiah and others Ezekiel and the scripture says the hand of YAH is talking about the Spirit of
young the hand of YAH came upon me right and then the hand of YAH would lift off the hand
of YAH came upon me and then I spoke or I did this and then lift it off but the scripture
says about those of us who believe in Yeshua and are part of this better covenant, we have an
anointing that abides that's how you're better that's how you're greater, that's how you're
more powerful? No. Is it a reality? I don't know you tell me if it's a reality in your life
right now, but is the potential there? Absolutely, and He's speaking to our highest potential, can
you say amen? We need the Spirit of the Father. Hallelujah. "These words I've spoken to you while
still with you but the Helper," The One who helps you to be obedient, the Set-apart Spirit or the
Spirit of the Set-apart One whom the Father shall send His Spirit in My Name, He shall teach you
all. The Father by His Spirit is going to teach you all and remind you of all that I said to
you. Hallelujah. And so on this very important day, this prep-day so to speak, this Shabbat
before, the High Day, Shavu'ot, it is a weekly Sabbath and it's very very important but
it's all ramped it up to Shavu'ot, we need to be willing to allow the word to open our minds
and our hearts to understanding more deeply about the Spirit and the fact that we can receive
the Spirit of the Father, it is the promise of the Father, is it not? And we can receive His word, His
wind, His breath, His life, and we can be empowered to prophesy, to proclaim, to
declare His Word. Amen. Hallelujah. We can see visions, we can dream dreams and not only can we
do it but we must do it, it is a requirement for us to be able to fulfill the great commandment
of Yeshua to go into all the world and preach the Good News to every creature because it's not
by man's might nor by man's power, that's another verse, the Almighty is saying it - not by man's might
nor by man's power but what by My Spirit, says YAH. Amen. So when we know these things were
more prepared to be filled with the Spirit to be empowered by His Spirit and to fulfill all
that He has commanded us to do. Amen? Hallelujah.
