hey everyone we're out harvesting winter wheat today in a high Cayden glad to have seen you up here we're back cutting wheat in the same field from yesterday we've had a lot of rain in recent days and it's knocked down a lot of wheat and these mcdonough 45-foot heads or doing a nice job and cleaning it up putting them in that's right Pete third time's a charm trying to do a live stream I'm not sure why cannot get my phone to stream in landscape so we guess we're gonna have to do it this way please trucks and tractors yep we've actually been harvesting since May this is right down to the very last field it's been a long month a lot of moisture so it's spread to harvest down hello to Ireland this is a Draper hand it's McDon d1 45 map sweeping up 45 feet of wheat here hello to South Carolina hi DW customs who is the operator it's Matt he's a lot of our videos Matt's a sprayer and a planner and a harvester and a rock fixer-upper it looks like see if it'll feed out here there are five combines running today right Matt here comes one of them right here the wheats been doing really well this year but unfortunately in the last two weeks we've just had a lot of heavy rain and it's making the harvest a little more difficult I'm gonna have to see if it's good to go or that might have to get out here of grass or something Ethan this is Kentucky Western Kentucky were not far from Nashville Tennessee your right side over there is a 45-foot john deere header this is not my farm I just report on farm machines and history so we're just out visiting today I'm not a farmer just a farm equipment enthusiast what is the moisture on the wheat is at 17% Matt 16:16 we had quite a rainstorm come over this field yesterday and they're right down to their last field so they're they're ready to get it done here and we started this morning it was 22 and now it's down to 16 so it's looking a lot better they they went down the road to a field that was drier and now they're coming back to this one feel free to ask any questions just kind of wanted to share Sunday afternoon with our viewers out in the field and show you what the harvest looks like see we're going around the headlands right now this is a 2019 John Deere s 790 combine in class nine five hundred and forty-three horsepower four hundred whistle bin we've got a 45 foot wide McDonagh on the front this farm does not bail straw all this straw gets spread back on the field and they plant soybeans right behind these combines and that straw serves as a good mulch to hold moisture and suppress weeds the farm they're working in here today I think is about 500 acres math you have to cuttin do you know the variety of the sweet man 26 hour 36 I don't know if that's droplets I think it's fine here now the wheats yield and really well we've been seeing 90s 200 bushels think we're seeing about 93 coming across the screen right now hey scruffy really appreciate looking at all videos you're one of our top fans my class and I always enjoy when you comment oh we're gonna turn around here and we're just cleaning up that the head lands here there are actually three grain carts out here there's one right out in front of us there we've got a question when will you see my forty 786 well I ran it back in March so we've got a lot of good footage of it I just haven't been able to produce the video yet been so busy the spring filming hey and planning and wheat everything just gets piled up on each other or not I want to do a good job with the video on my tractor and everybody else's video so stay tuned it'll probably out this summer how much rain have we gotten a bunch I I don't even know it's been several inches and there was a huge thunderstorm that came over this field yesterday keep on asking your questions it's hard to just see them all coming by but I'm happy to answer them I appreciate everybody watching big tractor powers had a big month we've had over three million views this month in 10,000,000 minutes of farm equipment watch so I really appreciate all the farmers who let me share this stuff with you and all the people that are watching what is the average size farm in Western Kentucky I don't know there are some really big farms here and there's a lot of just you know regular-sized farms it's a big farming area this is a 500 acre field Jeff that we're out in we're down in the last 100 acres here and kind of pan to the side if you want to look out there it's pretty vast area a little Main are they using GPS yes they're using some combi there's five combines out here all s 790 some have John to your green star 3000 some have 6000 JD your custom yep I usually film in Kentucky this is where I live but I've been out to Iowa and Illinois so far this spring as well in Indiana I haven't gotten back to western New York this year but I do have a friend that films up there for me and we've got some western New York footage coming up we just did a video on a John Deere 7330 up there keep on answering your questions I'm sorry that are going by so fast again I live here in Western Kentucky and I also yes I do go down to Tennessee we're probably just a couple miles from the Tennessee border in this field right here we can see the McDon here it does a really nice job and lifting up this wheat it's kind of tough conditions does he got standing wheat and down wheat out here so we had a question earlier is a combine running on GPS when Matt was doing the headland no he's scaring it but here you can see it's hands-free and he's just running his header speed there how many fields do you do in a day Matt you just usually you guys kind of like to be on the big field and just sit here for the day and cut so this is your second day on this field because of the rain but you probably could have cleared it out yesterday if they hadn't three come on on that so you guys have been cutting about for weeks now remember the day we study news like the 10:30 well for the Jackson on the versatile sand the thumbnails I filmed those back in 2011 they're up on the big tractor power YouTube now if you just do a search versatile 11:50 big tractor power you'll you'll find those videos load Indiana here we've got the kinsey 11:05 and I just saw a question come about the green card I apologize it kind of passed by quickly it's a thousand bushel green card out here on tracks pulled by a John Deere 9420 are hello to Eastern North Carolina how long does it take to harvest a hundred acres each one of these combines on a really good day can do 150 acres so they usually start with 9:00 a.m. Matt run till about 1011 you can see the powering up the wheat there we can watch the week going down the back here and it should be just about empty that's 400 bushels coming out there and 33.8 bushels per second how was hey come in Kentucky hey was all cut back in May they're on their third cutting of alfalfa probably this week why do they not use stripper heads stripper heads are great but obviously this head can harvest soybean so it's less investment to just run this 45 foot head but actually the field just across the street from here was harvested with a stir bred some farm still you know really like him and they do a good job what is my favorite farm equipment brand you know I like them all I really like them all of you know green Stigers probably my favorite line of tractors but I'm a big fan of everything from a 48 n to the Big Bud 747 I want to film them all and share them all mountain rock yes there is Kunal in this area of there a couple thousand acres congratulations all good on your high school graduation blow to Arkansas yes this wheat is flat has just had a lot of rain on it it really started out looking beautiful a few weeks ago but you just always get the fielder to you that gets the ring on it and there's not much you can do about it hello to Germany glad you're harvesting barley over there again you can see you know this McDonough head just really just skins that wheat off I mean it's thick and it's down but you can see the performance you can actually see last year's corn stalks under the wheat there he's just shaving it off yes I do like I do you like Steiger tractors just always liked them those classic ones and the big new contracts for everybody just joining in we had a question of what combine is this this is a 2019 John Deere s7 90 it's a four hundred bushel tank we can look back there see the green corn in it's a 543 horsepower machine its class nine this is right now is the biggest combine that John Deere offers now Matt over on the controls that you can actually got cameras and stuff in there yeah you can see great coming up into the tank there it's alive you also view tailings which there's not much just a little bit in there and then this is all automated so it can adjust to the crop condition and yep we're running about 2.3 miles per hour across the field and trying to gather up this week how much does this combine cost I'd have to look it up on John Deere comm I want to see the list price is like five hundred and twenty two thousand before you put your headers and things on how's the wheat yielding fantastic it's this field of is averaging 94 bushels an acre and I've seen as high as 137 bushels an acre on one field this year we've got another s7 90 over there there's five of these Class nine combines out here harvesting that once equipped with a John Deere 45 foot head we'll have that coming up on big tractor power to YouTube appreciate everybody tuning in we've got 300 people on here on our live stream and it's just always nice to get to chat with viewers and take questions how much does a header cost I am Not sure but I I would guess they're probably in the hundred and thirty hundred and forty thousand dollar range do I like to under yep I do John Deere's a good brand you know again I don't really have a favorite brand but I've got favorite models from every brand John Deere sixty thirty forty nine sixty ninety four hundred stuff like that Michael I am NOT a farmer I just like reporting on farm equipment and sharing it now but my favorite thing to see is probably for harvesting and at the end the wheat harvest - that's a great time of year yeah the s7 90s is a great combo and they're impressive they can this machine on a good day cover 150 acres with this 45 foot header yeah there's gonna be Duff soybeans will be planted on this field the ground might be a little wet yet from all the rain but they'll have three 60-foot air drills out here and I've got video of that coming up they've got 296 20 hours on triples with 60-foot Horse Panther drills and then they've got a 96 20 Rx on tracks with that same horse panther drill that one's got a 600 bushel cart going behind it yeah Matt's talking about the sprayer ruts he's gonna have to talk to the sprayer guy actually if you uh if you watch our big tractor power videos Matt's this one of the sprayer guys too so you probably put it in there so we've got another s 790 up there and another one over there putting up some dust what is my favorite field well I tell you in this area this particular farm has a 2800 acre field which is pretty neat to see everything out in and there's another farm I fill meant that has a 3,000 acre field that's pretty impressive doe C amount of ground and wide-open space with a lot of machines well I think we'll take one more round here and then I'm gonna get out and film so we can get these combines up on some videos in the future but yeah I am definitely going to the half century of progress show I'm looking forward to it that's an awesome event to see classic machines do they trade the machines every year yes they do they cover a lot of acres these machines I don't how many hours we put on this compound this year ma'am so but they really like to have something that's just ready to go and not have the downtown because they cover a lot of acres and crops you know a lot of these tractors out here they'll put a thousand hours on in a year and you know there see so you've got this field we're out in a 500 acre field this is going to get planted into soybeans probably tomorrow and so that becomes another 500 acres of crop in the same year and all these tractors are going over them until egde and harvesting and grain carting so it they put a lot hours on and that's why they trade so often why did they cut it at an angle mainly just to feed it better especially in this situation where you got down wheat they want to just you know have a feed a little easier yes this is the farm that they were there running seven combines and wheat the other two part today are they cutting somewhere else another County over but whenever you leave here we're gonna go there and help them finish that up that's the last name which I know you're gonna be glad to be done with it and then he'll be back in the sprayer going over all these beans I got a couple weeks of vacation Matt puts a lot of long hours out running these combines you know they're out here in the field probably at 7:00 a.m. servicing start cutting at 8:00 and they might run as late as midnight here for the moistures right hello to the Netherlands I don't work on yeah I really like the John Deere 620 wheat harvest is a great time of year it's just always nice to have that summer weather but also see these big combines all the drills plant soybeans in the wheat stubble how many acres on this as a s7 90 so far 1506 1506 is a brand new 2019 model and that means Matt's got cut 1,500 acres a week so far this year hello to see em I guess cart gt5 hello thanks for watching it looks like we're getting some Sun back out here that's good again we can see this 45-foot one McDonagh it's of f d 145 just going across this week been a lot of rain come down on this field so it's pretty thick and matted loaded Germany out of Nebraska what's the field averaging it's averaging 94 bushes really good crop this year again you can see we've got this really mad a tweet and when we look over here you can see last year's corn stalks because he's really shaving I close but headers feeding it all right in how many total acres they farmed it's a bunch they they farm several thousand acres lota southern Minnesota the bushels it's averaging 94 bushels this combine holds 400 it's just about hold hey you know I tried to set my camera to landscape mode and I it would not do it today I don't know if it's my phone or something but I kept on pressing on it and I wanted to I wanted to try to get it in landscape but I've got a jump out here pretty soon to start filming again so we'll just have to bear through this today and try to figure out that landscape mode for next time 23 dat sh I like those a lot what's our travel speed we're going about two and a half miles per hour right now 45 feet at a time load Indiana hello to Brazil thanks for watching here comes a 9420 r this is one of the 2019 models it's got the side shields on it which especially first what it's been this year it's been nice to keep the mud out of those engine compartments Oh feel free to ask any questions we're just kind of rolling along here and always enjoyed getting child people yeah nine-hour tractors are nice they're they're really good tractors yes this is garnet farms allo to Australia it's 45 foot header I'd Austria what John Deere planners do they have they run 224 wrote John Deere corn planters and three Kenzie's then they've got a horse panther air drills for the wheat and soybeans yeah the s7 ninety is a real nice combine does a good job any vintage stuff coming up yes patch of heaven farm filmed at John Deere 44:20 cutting wheat I've got a cleaner r75 coming up and I've got lots of got a four ninety seven hundred coming cultivating corn and probably a few other things I'm not thinking at the moment but there's definitely some more vintage tractors coming why aren't there bigger heads on the commercial market about forty five feet is pretty big I'm gonna let Matt answer that Matt and you want a 50 or 60 foot header on this compound especially like we're coming up here to the fence line when Matt's going around here there's roots and sticks and things and you know you're way over there it's hard to keep an eye on it and also flex over this ground hey Brad that's great about your grandfather I think I saw you mentioned that on a post recently working at John Deere from 1930 to 71 it's a really awesome - you know he started out with steel wheel tractors and you know saw the first articulated built there as well we're out in a 500 acre field down to the last hundred acres or so here and we've got five john deere s7 90 combines cutting across it yeah like the john dick 44:30 prime my favorite row crop john deere's r44 240 have you lot have they lost any acres to flooding no likely it's been been a pretty good year for getting things done you know lots of rain but no flooding you know there's there's definitely always low spots that get full load a hamburger burning - I like the RX tractors yeah I do they they're good I find the RX is a little rougher riding because it's only got two bogie wheels but they overall you know good solid tractor how many bushels give me a green card hold about 1100 this is a McDon 145 45 feet one hello to Greece I think that's first time I've seen someone for Greece watching them very cool there's a lot of wildlife we had a question about wildlife there rabbits all over fawns deer lots of wildlife out here have I seen a fence combine not yet my local dealer has challenger dealer is gonna sign up the offend dealer so I'm hoping to see one of those spent ideal combines this fall here in Kentucky now they do not bail the straw so you can see it's all spread out there they're gonna double crop soybeans or their drills will be here probably pretty soon and all that straws a nice mulch it's fertilizer back in holds the moisture what's the temperature today Matt I know it's hot out there FC ninety degrees you know so you want to have that mulch to hold moisture yeah I like fence really probably one of the best trackers on the market today if you fall it we got a question if you fall asleep but when you can see Matt's got a host here if he falls asleep he's gonna run into something so you wanna you want to stay awake how's your corn looking Jackson hello to Denmark always great to have got people from Germany and Denmark and Greece and Austria on here it's great to have people from Europe watching harvest is going well they're down to their last this field and one more to go what is this farms biggest tractor they may have for 620 horsepower tractors a 600 horsepower tractor and then for 420 s hello to Northern Ireland hello to South Africa out of France what type of Cummins engine is in a John Deere tractor it just depends on the vintage of 89 60s back in 89 70s the 90s had 855 Cummins and I think the new 96 20's have a qsx 15 and um hello to hungry what kind of yield does a double crop being produced anywhere from 45 up to 60 just depends on on the year we have a drought it could be 5 bushels well Matt's waiting for the grain cart here and we've got a pan out there you can see some of the combines and carts I got trucks trucks got behind we're so far from our bins into the make some while to get back it's a good drive out here yes I've heard of Penta cultivators I like the Penta silage wagons I'd relate to see one of those try ax or a quad axle ones yeah the Kinsey low gravity wagons are good I only get to see those when I go out to Iowa here we mainly just run these Kinsey grain carts hello to Holland we are in Simpson County Kentucky yeah we're about ten miles from the Tennessee border not about an hour from Nashville got a couple questions about my international 47 86 I got it out in March did some herring with it we'll have a video up on it sometime this summer hey Adam that's great that you're related to Kevin Kevin does a great job getting western New York footage forming how big is a field this is a 500 acre field kind of pan around here and you can see everything out here got three Kinsey carts 11:05 s on John Deere 9 for 20 hours these are 20 1994 20 s I got those new side panels on the engine keep them cleaner hello to Holland hey we've got 340 people watching and I really appreciate everybody tuning in we can see this cart rolling around here you can see those side panels on that nine 420 are low to western Tennessee and it's pouring out at 3.8 bushels per second out of a Twain 1/2 foot long auger my name is Jason everybody once tell em my name is Jason hazard and been doing big tractor powers a website since 2001 and YouTube for about nine years now how many semis farm is fifteen altogether I'm guessing you guys probably have ten there so going today a load of the United Kingdom and get a few year of the another s7 90 and 94 20 and Kinsey 11:05 8250 is a nice tractor ah this farms got four green carts that keeps up with five combines pretty well we've got three out here and there's two other combines on one of their cart in another area Adam how closer we this is about a hundred acres here and another 200 acres to go yep that's ooh any of you were out in a 500-acre field here getting down to the last hundred acres now this farm can always use a good truck driver if you if you're a truck driver and want to come help out email me at contact at big tractor power calm and I'll get in contact with a farm this field is used yielding about ninety four bushels loaded Germany so I'll take a couple more questions that I'm gonna hop out here on the end so I can start filming these combines before they eat up all these acres once they start going back and forth that doesn't take them long to finish a field hi I just saw the Africa Jackson I wish I could farm - I am NOT a farmer I would love to have a farm but I enjoy coming out here and visiting all these farms I know where Curtin County is the month what happened to the week just too much rain just had a big rainstorm we've had several in the past two weeks and it's just pushed it down it's you know end of the season that's kind of weakened and all that water pushes it over but you can see this head cleans it all right up not really losing anything low to Brazil Kelli glad you're playing fs9 teens good good video game Matt you like the green star now Matt that's working out here hard he's got a lot to watch and you know he's got a lot of tools here right in the cab he's gonna fix things when they break a sickle or check belts and stuff like that low to western New York my home home state hello to Belize town the next state Lewis farm felishj oh it should be the first weekend in February 2020 for those that don't know I also have operated the toy tractor times magazine for about 28 years now and do a lot with farm toys big tractor power YouTube got started trying to show people how all this big farm equipment relates to you collectible farm toys I grew up grandpa's farm I grew up near Rochester New York breaking a signal like a little bro oh my can see Matt might jump off here when we wrap up and let Matt fix the sickle I'm excited to film this header because it's a 20-19 McDon FD 145 it's got a 70th anniversary detail on the side which is kind of cool hello - Tim hood Tim I know we've got one other person from Alabama cadence uhlans he was watching he was up actually in this field yesterday riding along Cole if you're looking for a job on a farm like this just email me at contact at big tractor power comm I'll get you in touch with the farm and they can look at your resume I know they're always looking for good people hello - Smithville Tennessee in Tim dot and Alabama how far away is the bin site I'm gonna guess what about 55 miles today I passed for their semi trucks on the way out here I live near the home farm something I would like to visit Louisiana little Ohio see this down we can be tough to go through but and it really gets it up in there John Deere 69 20 yeah I like the John Deere 4960 they're cool I've actually filmed the very last 47 60 ever built out in Iowa Laura Tennessee yeah yeah we've got a video coming up I've got a video coming up on some Steiger Tiger threes out in Montana I'm looking forward to sharing that seeding winter wheat these guys are actually cutting wheat while they were putting wheat in up in Montana yeah like the 2388 axle floats could combine yeah I hope to get to Alabama sometime in Mississippi and Louisiana like to see some rice and sugarcane and cotton well I think we're gonna wrap up the live stream here we'll maybe watch Matt replace the signal header here and then I'm gonna start start filming these combines all right hello hop out of the combine here and let you get a view that oh we had a question person mention of a David Brown those are really great trackers I haven't filmed the David Brown yet but I hoped you let you get a view of the combine here see it's a s 790 Matt's gonna get some tools out of the side here this is a lot of the stuff I don't get the show often is the server side of it gets dusty out here you can see all the components up underneath hopefully that's getting some tools out so we are FB 1:45 70th anniversary of McDon so these little sickles here or what cut to eat this is what always oppresses me is that you know Matt's only driving the combine but he can jump right out here and fix it well see Matt take some of the sections off here it's a pretty quick fix so a lot of times when I'm filming at I never really show this part a lot of waiting around sometimes in the field what things are getting fixed but it's neat to show how Matt does his work so you can see here he's putting a new section in um I got a I see you it's hard to see out in the sunlight here on questions I'd like to get up to Minnesota to film I was hoping to this year it just got so wet it didn't work out for filming up there but maybe next year I like to travel I did a lot of my filming in Kentucky because that's where I live but I've I filmed in Iowa Indiana Tennessee and Illinois this year so far and I have friends filming at Wisconsin in New York see Matt get this back together I think I saw a question there yeah I'm going to the half century of progress starts August 22nd it's an awesome show I highly recommend it it's an Rantoul Illinois I think 250 acres of harvesting and plying with classic equipment and hundreds and hundreds of old tractors and combines well I Mets finish that up will kind of let you get a look at the combine here it's a class 9s 790 just stepped in a waterhole here it's wet out in the field mats laughing at me so this is gonna let Matt get back to work and I'm going to start filming these combines for a future video but it's always neat to see him in action thanks a lot Matt let's see some of the combines over there again I appreciate everybody tuning in I think I saw about 345 people are watching appreciate everybody tuning in the big tractor power so with that I'm gonna start filming and if you look I'm gonna zoom in try to you can see one of the air drills is here to plant the double crop soybeans that's why they spread all this straw out so again thanks for watching and we'll try to do a live stream during the corn harvest
