What we do with our Ball Python eggs! #ballpython #pets #snake #python

[Music] this week I want to just show you really quickly what I do when I have a female that lays eggs so I had recently two females that laid I think it was two days in a row I was really hoping to go on the same day just because I've never had a chance to do that but we had both a DG had pied lay and a clown late and so we're gonna have those eggs in the incubator and they're ready to go but I just wanted to show you the process by which what I do when I pull the eggs and when I do with the mom and what I do with the eggs afterwards and how I set them all up so I hope you enjoy so what I do is I take the female off the eggs and I will put her in this room temperature water let her soak there but I also put this reptile extra like soap I don't know if it works but um you know you just this powdery stuff um dump it in there Stir It Up a little bit and I mean she's not eaten and she's done the hard work of pushing the eggs out so I figured it can't hurt so just I'll let her soak in there for a little bit while I change out her tub and her bedding so this is the female that will be getting off eggs today you can see she's pushed everything back and I think there's one two three four five six good eggs in there and uh we will hopefully she will be strong and healthy and so will the eggs so you can see I've gotten her off the eggs put her in there hope we should get some re a little bit rehydrated and now we are going to pull the eggs out okay so I'll take out the I took out the eggs put them in the box now I'll candle them make sure they're right side up and then we'll put them in the incubator the egg box is already set up I use perlite um water pretty much up to the top then I put the tray on top and I will afterwards cover it with press and seal and stick it in the incubator okay candled marked and now I'll just put some press and seal right there put it over and stick it in the incubator so once I get the egg box in the incubator I get a card out this is my clutch card so extremely simple obviously just a 3x5 card is origin uh 23 clutch three so year 2023 Clutch 3 I put the sire DG pie damn DG head pied um laid on May 14th 23 Mother's Day and 56 days from now will be July 9th 23 and then I'll put normally six eggs and however many slugs she had zero slugs so I take that and I just slip it in on top of the um on top of the boxes that are inside the incubator and I leave it pretty much don't touch it I might check in about a week to make sure everything's good but really don't touch it at all so that's what I'll do and then now I'll get her back out after she's been chilling and getting washed off and I will switch out her tub her bedding and wipe her down and then hopefully get her all done and ready to go hopefully she'll be eating within a week okay so here she is in her new place as you can see um you know Lane eggs actually takes quite a bit out of her skinny but that's why we want to get her on food as soon as possible so there she is seems to be all good new bedding fresh water ready to go and hopefully she'll be eating very soon I hope you all enjoyed that hopefully it was helpful like I said you don't have to do everything the way that we do it over here at Arjun reptiles but if it's helpful we want to be able to share it with you also if you have any questions let me know and DM me on Instagram send me a comment on here send me a shoot my email at ourgenreptiles gmail.com and also if you enjoy the content that we're putting out please continue to like subscribe comment and be a part of what we're doing here at Argent reptiles thanks so much have a great week
