all right guys well tonight it is my honor and privilege to introduce to you our speaker um this guy i've known him for a couple years and he is genuinely like one of the coolest dudes ever do you guys remember that dosa case commercial with like the most interesting man i feel like our speaker tonight sort of qualifies for that um he traveled around the world uh talking about jesus in a documentary called the ac project he uh has his own podcast called stories in scripture and he is actually a phenomenal writer and ghost writes for some pretty important people like presidents and stuff no i'm kidding i don't know if it's presidents but this guy just has a gift to communicate in literally every platform god made available for us to communicate um he's a brilliant dude but what i love about him is that he is so humble and a gift that god has given him is to understand and wrestle with the deep things of scripture but then when you talk to him he can just communicate it in a way that makes so much sense and is so relatable and so tonight kicking off our relationship series we have red rocks austin's very own ryan weckenman give it up [Music] i am so happy to be here honored to be here i love this ministry i love this place god has changed the trajectory of my life in this room several times and uh man can i just say this you guys have the best leaders in all of the world can we make some serious noise for connor andrew zack milana keane my goodness hey they talk about you all the time they brag about you all the time and we're like connor you get it you got the coolest congregation man the rest of us are jealous my name's ryan i'm like connor said i'm from austin texas and uh for the last few years my brother doug and my sister-in-law sam and i have been down there planning red rocks austin and it's just been a dream but um hey can i ask this can you guys right now in this room get your hopes up for what god is about to do in this space like the holy spirit is here he's ready to speak he's ready to convict he's ready to build up and today we have a talk that might be unlike any talk you've ever heard so turn to your neighbor and say hey this might be a little different [Music] now turn to your other neighbor and say but that's okay [Music] father god we love you so much we thank you for this place we thank you for this space would you be here with us now as we learn about you in jesus name and everybody said amen you guys grab a c grab hd hey i get the privilege of week one of relationships and if you know me you know that that's kind of a funny thing because i'm the last guy who should be on a stage talking about relationships and before i tell you why let's do a little survey how many of you in this house are married anybody currently married married people yes yes yes how about engaged anybody engaged right now hey congratulations what about what about relationship anybody in a dating relationship right now raise your hand raise your hand okay now raise your hand if i just force you into an awkward dtr that you were hoping to avoid my bad that's on me that's on me okay now raise your hand if you are single in this place oh my goodness [Music] let's go hey here's the deal um i am 31 i've been a pastor for the last eight years and i've been single for all eight of those years so i have uh been single for like 30.8 of my 31 years of existence and so it's a little funny that i'm up here talking about relationships and that's actually the point tonight we're talking about singleness so it's time hey this is a message that doesn't get preached about too often but it's one i'm just really really passionate about because i'm 31 i'm single and i'm thriving i love my life i really do hey but here's the thing it wasn't always that way when i was uh 24 so i remember being a being a single pastor in my young 20s at a mega church and single people like if you think thanksgiving dinner is awkward like try being a 24 year old single pastor at a mega church like you just get roasted all the time and uh one day one sunday i um had so funny thinking back on this i was in charge of all like the outreach stuff and i had scheduled an outreach for february 14th who can tell me what day february 14th is yeah see i didn't know that right and so i get up in front of the whole church and i'm like february 14th we're gonna go love our city and everyone's looking at me like i'm that's not who i'm loving that day i don't know like what you're talking about and the guy gets up to preach and he roasts me for 30 minutes straight like of course ryan doesn't have any plans on valentine's day and wouldn't think about that and you know like it's all in good fun you know so i'm sitting there smiling and waving to everybody in the lobby playing along like you know and then like every grandma and mom and aunt well-intentioned like has heard from god in the last 30 minutes that i'm supposed to be with their like granddaughter or their niece or their coworker you know when they play the god card you know it's like how like god told you that i don't oh gosh i'm gonna be broke i can't go on all these dates and then that sunday night was our young adult so i had to preach at that and it was more of the same and uh painted a smile on my face played along with all the jokes but then i got into my car chevy cruze come on doug church parking lot late at night nobody else was there and i broke down uh all day i had painted a smile on my face and then i get into my car and i i just can't help but think man is like is there something wrong with me like am i doing something wrong here because a relationship just hasn't been a huge desire for me in my life but i feel like everybody else thinks that it should be so so it felt like everybody else was in on a joke that i i didn't understand the punchline too and so i sit there for 20 minutes wondering what's wrong with me and so tonight i want to preach the sermon that i wish i had back then because at the time i was hearing a lot of sermons about singleness and reading lots of books about singleness but it was all from people who were married and so like hey well-intentioned well like thank you married pastors for for sitting in that space with us so well-intentioned but all they can say is hey let me give you all the things i wish i had known when i was single like give me let me give you all the stuff that you can work on now to get ready for marriage and again that's amazing but there's a message underneath that message isn't there underneath that message somewhere is a script for single people in the church that goes something like this hey you're not quite there yet like this is still pre-season for you let me give you some things to work on while you're in training camp then once you get married we can start talking about your ministry and as a 31 year old single pastor i just feel like one of the reasons i'm on this earth is to point out the giant flaw in that logic and that is that i'm so glad jesus didn't wait until he was married to begin his ministry [Applause] or how about the apostle paul remember the guy that planted a church in corinth and galatia and ephesus and philippi he did it all as a single person did you guys know that we in fact we think he planted about 14 churches we've planted one and i'm like ready to tap out most days 14 churches that's insane wrote 13 of the 27 books in the new testament and convinced the entire church that the gospel is not just for the jews but for the gentiles and as a gentile on the other side of the world i'm awfully glad paul didn't wait until he was married to begin his ministry how about john the baptist how many examples is he going to give four i've read the gospel several times i've never seen a mention of a mrs baptist and like unless she was down with locus and wild honey for dinner every night like i'm pretty sure john the b john b the original john b outer banks reference for you taylor pave the way for the savior of the world as a single person how about martha i don't have a verse for this one so i'm speculating a bit here but if you know anything about the first century and then you research how martha talked and how she walked and how she led her household it sure seems like she was the head of the household and in the first century if you're the head of the household as a woman that means you're not married martha was probably single and she was one of jesus's best friends in fact she hosted some of jesus's most important nights of ministry at her home so single people if you're keeping score that means we have the one who prepared the way for the savior of the world the one who hosted the savior of the world the one who brought the savior of the world's message to the ends of the earth and oh by the way the savior of the world all who didn't wait until they were married to begin their ministry and so all i want to say tonight to talk to you to kick off this relationship series is if you are single in this place don't you dare ever let anyone treat you like a second-class christian don't you dare let anybody talk to you like you need to be married before you begin your ministry jesus god has a plan and a purpose for your life and that begins today i'm not sure where we got this script for singleness all i know is we didn't get it from scripture and so when the church and the world is throwing a a script at you for for singleness that's not working for you and that doesn't line up with the word of god sometimes what you got to do is you got to flip the script so the title of tonight's message is flip the script on singleness we're going to have some fun i'm going to give you a few common phrases that you single people hear all the time and i'm going to teach you how to flip that script for next time you're at thanksgiving dinner with your well-intentioned family uh real quick some of you are looking at me right now like bro i brought a date to y a for the first time ever like what are you going to say to us i know let me say this the second page of your bible god says it is not good that man should be alone then in genesis 2 24 says therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh marriage is god's idea and it's beautiful and in fact to be fair jesus was single but in matthew 19 he quotes genesis 2 24. and to be fair paul was single but in first corinthians 6 and ephesians 5 he quotes genesis 2 24 both jesus and paul had a very high view of marriage and so so do i it's just that they also had a very high view of singleness and both of those things can be true at the same time and so sorry for my passion a little earlier i just feel like we've swung the pendulum a little too far and so i'm here to even the score just a little bit but let me say this whether you are single dating engaged or married this talk is for you one because 59 of the city is single so even if you are in a relationship you have friends and roommates who are not so let me help you teach you how to talk to them but also this sermon is really about how to thrive as a human being and so i'm just singleness is just my my front for talking about uh something that that jesus came to bring us which was eternal life when he says um hey the thief comes to steal kill and destroy i've come that you may have life and have it to the full i'm just tired of for years people telling me hey ryan you're single and so you just need to survive until you get there i'm just here to say i'm too busy thriving right here and so we're going to talk about it let's talk about singleness here's number one i have heard this one so many times do you have the gift of singleness hey if i had a dollar connor for every time i've been asked that question i'd have like 158 dollars i don't know it's it's some big number do you have the gift of singleness because uh in first corinthians 6 paul talks about how he's single and it's a gift and so we call singleness a gift but here's the problem with with the spiritual gifts like if you have the spiritual gift of administration or hospitality like it's not like if you have the spiritual gift of hospitality you're like doomed and destined to throw a giant party every day for the rest of your life you know like can i fill up your cup is it too warm in here you know like you're just like doomed to be hospitable and yet for singleness like we use it to put people in a box don't we like when people ask me hey ryan do you think you have the gift of singleness i know what they're really asking but i've been asked it so much that i play along and i go what do you mean and they go well you know like ryan do you think you're you think you're living that paul life and i go what like what what is the paul life and they finally get to the point where they're ready to ask me what they actually want to ask me and they go ryan do you think you're going to be single for the rest of your life hey how could i possibly ever know the answer to that question you know like sometimes we treat following jesus like we get saved on sunday and then on monday there's like a three ring binder on our desk that says hey here's your next 60 years young adult here's who you're going to marry here's how many kids you're going to have here's the city you're called to here's your grandkids if you have any questions gabriel's number is on the bottom just give him a call he'll appear in a dream like we want to make sure you know every detail about your life until you die meanwhile we follow this jewish rabbi who said things like hey don't worry about tomorrow tomorrow will take care of itself just be here now be present in this moment look for people to love and encourage right here right now so i don't like the question hey do you have the gift of singleness so i've learned to flip the script here's what i say when people ask me that question i say singleness is a gift do you know that do you know that this time of singleness that you are in whether it's going to last for a year or 10 years or the next 80 years did you know it's a gift an absolute gift it's just that a lot of us aren't unwrapping that gift and enjoying it because we're too worried about whether or not this is going to be a forever thing singleness is an absolute gift the problem is we as a culture as a society are really not great at being content with the season that we're in are we when i first sat down to write a talk on singleness i called 10 of my single friends i said hey i'm finally going to talk about it i'm going to talk about singleness what should i say the first person goes maybe like healthy places to meet people i was like no like i'm giving a talk on singleness like what do you want me to say about singleness like uh maybe like clarity is kindness and like like expectations on the first date and it took me like three or four phone calls to realize hey nobody wants to talk on singleness they all want to talk on dating because when we're single what everybody's telling us is we should be progressing to the next level when we're single we should be dating when we're dating we should be engaged when we're engaged we should be married and then as soon as you get married how many people know you get like the reception and the honeymoon before everybody starts saying so when are the kids coming why is that maybe it's because as a whole we are really bad with being content in the season that we are in the apostle paul says it this way doug the apostle paul wrote some profound things did i tell you that he was single crazy that somebody's single could do something so profound i've got some bitterness i'm working through it this is like a therapy session for me i'm sorry paul says it this way i know what it is to be a need and i know what it is to have plenty listen to this i have learned the secret of being content i have learned the secret to being content do you know there is a secret to being content and according to the word of god it's a secret that we have to learn like nobody just stumbles into contentment paul says i have learned the secret of being content what is that secret in any and every situation whether well-fed or hungry whether living in plenty or in want whether single dating engaged or married i can do all of this i added that part i feel like somebody's gonna like okay i can do all things all this through him who gives me strength see according to paul marriage is not the secret to contentment but hey to be fair also according to paul singleness is not the secret to contentment following jesus is the secret to contentment we get that hey you let that truth sink into your soul you let that be your identity then relationship status aside you can be content then all of a sudden you're freed up to date to get married to have kids to to whatever and none of your your contentment isn't based off how you are doing relationally young adults can i tell you through my 20s the lesson i had to learn the the hard way was that my contentment doesn't have to be wrapped up in my relationship status because i know who jesus is i know who god called me to be and man the day you learn to actually step into that your whole life is going to start to change singleness is a gift but here's the problem we don't see it that way because the narrative is well you know you just got to cope with the disadvantages and let's be real there are plenty of disadvantages to being single right and so like as single people oftentimes we're asking well how do i just cope how do i cope with the disadvantages to being single and here's what i want to say we got to flip the script on that one too the question is not how do i cope with the disadvantages the question is how do i take advantage of the advantages do you know how many advantages there are to being single like let's just start simple space every square inch of my condo is mine i decorate that thing however i want it's set up for me hey drive five minutes down to my brother's house down to doug's house and walk in that's not true hey he's got an ice bath in his garage that's his space the rest of his home doesn't belong to him you know why because he has a wife who is much better at interior design than he is he's got a crazy dog who follows him everywhere he goes and most importantly he has a three-year-old with an awful lot of energy my nephew will loves to play and the first time i sat down to play with him he like handed me his puzzle and i was like oh will wants to make a puzzle here we go let's spread out the pieces but before i could do that he had his legos and so we dumped out the legos but before i could do that he had his football you know and it took me a second to realize oh the game will wants to play right now is let's take all of the things that mom and dad put away nice and neat and just scatter them like evenly all throughout the house and i love it i'm all for it i'm like we'll push some of those puzzle pieces under that couch i don't have to clean this up your dad does and then hey as soon as they all start crying and the dog's going crazy i just hand them back get in my car go to my condo where everything's set up my way it's amazing [Applause] take advantage of the advantages what about money come on hey doug and i get paid the same day every other friday when he gets paid he's thinking wife kids dog i don't have to think about any of that like i'm literally the only person that i have to keep alive hey single people please stop using that extra money to cope with the disadvantages of being single hey it will never be easier for you to get out of debt than it is right now add a wife into the equation add some kids in the equation it's only going to get more and more difficult this is your time take advantage of the advantages that you have get out of debt man invest wisely how about this be generous i don't have any other mouths to feed but there are a whole bunch of kids all around this world who are going to bed hungry tonight so i get the advantage to be generous with my money single people we have advantages let's learn to take advantage of those advantages but some of you are looking at me like bro i live with my parents and i don't have any money okay then let's talk about your time if you think you're busy now wait until you get married you think you're busy now wait until you have kids hey you will never have this much time again at least not until you're empty nesters and you retire are you using that time to further the gifts that god has given you or are you using that time to binge some more netflix so you can cope with the disadvantages of being single this is our opportunity young adults take advantage of the time that you have connor said earlier i have these passion projects aside from planning a church that i'm really passionate about guess who doesn't have time to follow those passions my brother who's just as good as me but he doesn't have any extra time i have that extra time to do i get to write with like some of the most like the coolest people all around the world and i'll go spend my day off with them and then we'll go out to dinner after and they'll go hey um how do you have so much time to run a church and then do this now all i have to say is oh i'm single and i go oh okay i get it and by the way young adults do you know why i get to do some of these cool projects that i get to do it's because all throughout my 20s i wrote a lot of really really bad books that are on my desktop that nobody will ever see whatever your craft is whatever you feel like you're on this planet to do man use your 20s to get your 10 000 hours and just keep going and going and going and going and if it's bad don't worry about it just keep practicing practicing practicing take advantage of this extra time that you have let's do another one what do we got confidence no fitting in that's a big one hey so often so many things that we do as single people we do because let's just be honest we just want to fit in well hey um i had a summer years ago where four of my best friends got married the same time anybody have that summer yeah if you don't it's probably coming for you and it's a little strange right and it can be easy to fit into this narrative of well yeah i just want to be like the rest of my friends but let me make the understatement of the century i am not the most romantic person in the world you guys like we've been listening to you for 20 minutes ryan we know i'm just not and so this whole narrative of like there's 8 billion people in this world and i just got to find that magical one that narratives never really made sense to me now i've got your back in this if that's you like i'm all for you and i'm not here to beat up on that narrative i want that for you conor might in a little bit in a few weeks but i'm not here to be i'm i've got your back but here's my question if your goal is to find that special one in eight billion then why on earth would your strategy be to fit in like like gronk the tight end for tampa bay buccaneers like imagine if he ran up to tom brady in the super bowl and was like tom i'm running to where everybody else is why don't you throw me the ball oh gronk is really good at going to where everybody else is not and that's why you had two touchdowns in the super bowl single people the best thing that you can do if you want to stand out and attract that partner that you want is not to fit in but it's to stand out let me tell you the easiest way to fit in devote all your time and energy to creating a highlight reel of yourself online hey it's so tired everybody's doing it you want to stand out use the time you use to keep up with appearances to cultivating a prayer life that's unlike anybody else's you want to stand out use that extra time that you have to read the word of god more than anybody else hey not so that you can post about it so that you can be transformed by it the narrative is not well i just want to fit in single people let's get this let's flip that script i'm going to stand out and by the way as an aside the way to stand out we think right now is to have a bunch of followers and have a bunch of views on our videos but if you think about it logically every day everybody is getting more followers and more views on their videos which means there's coming a day where everybody is going to have a lot of followers and a lot of views on their videos and it's not going to be unique anymore when that day comes i believe that we are going to be desperately searching for men and women of god who have swam in the deep water of what it means to be a disciple of jesus that's all i'll say about that topic one controversial topic at a time let's get back to singleness let's do a another one i i'll be confident when i find a spouse i'll be confident when i find a spouse young girls we got to flip that one to this it's not i'll be confident when i find a spouse is i am confident because i have a savior hey paul let's hear from paul one more time our single friend thank god he didn't start or wait till he's married to begin his ministry because he said this being confident of this hey paul's confidence couldn't have been in his spouse he didn't have one being confident of this that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of christ jesus why are you listen to me this work that god began in your life he's going to bring it to completion that's where your confidence lies spouse or no spouse that's where your confidence lies man you get that then marriage or no marriage you're fine because you know you can walk into um whatever room you are going to walk into carrying this confidence with you that you know who you are because you know who's you are and you know the spirit of god is working with you and so let's go confidence doesn't come from being married ask anybody who is married in this place marriage is a beautiful thing again i love it and i'm for you and i want you to find your spouse yes and amen but let's make sure we get the order right or or maybe i'll say it this way i want a savior but i need a spouse nobody actually says this they just show me that this is what they believe by how they live right hey uh years ago we were just getting our church started and we were doing the final worship set in the night and we were all singing as this powerful day of church what a beautiful name it is why does that guy not get to be on the worship team we're singing and all of a sudden out of nowhere somebody taps me on the shoulder now connor you know this when somebody taps you on the shoulder like during worship like the building's burning down you know like this is this is bad news right so i turn around there's this guy i've never met before and he looks at me and he goes because like the music's so loud right so i can't hear a word that this guy's saying and i'm like hey is this like for real an emergency because like i'm i'm worshiping right now and he goes and so i'm like all right bro let's let's step outside for a second and i'm like what is about to happen right now like are we about to cast a demon out i have no idea what's about to go down we get outside and he goes hey you guys have co-ed groups i was like bro you need to at least pretend like you're here for god you know like at least get through worship before you play your cards i want a savior sure but man do i need a spouse single people we gotta flip that one i need a savior and then if you want a spouse awesome i'm here for it i'm cheering you on go for it but hey let's make sure we get the order right it will serve you well for the rest of your life hey if you're in a relationship right now let's make sure we have the order right hey if you're married right now let's make sure we have the order right i'm sure your spouse is an incredible person they make a crummy god and that's not a shot at them it's an invitation to you to stop putting a weight on their shoulders they were never meant to carry need jesus whatever else comes will come if i could say anything today this is what i'm trying to say let's do the last one i just need to survive until i get there man i heard it for years [Music] just need to survive you just got to get through this time just beyond the riverbend it's pocahontas i don't know just need to survive until i get there then you're gonna be okay man i just believe with every thing that i have that that's just not the invitation jesus came to give us he said ah no no no i'm here i'm your savior and so you can actually thrive right here let's read it john 10 10 you all know it the thief comes to steal kill and destroy this is jesus talking i have come that you may have life and life to the full single people i feel like so often we equate the thief as singleness all my singleness is here to kill steal and destroy your singleness isn't the enemy your envy is the enemy your inability to be okay right here right now in the season that you're in a single dating engaged or married is the enemy like i don't know how it works i just imagine satan like in his monday morning staff room with his little demons going hey listen come here if we can get these guys to be unhappy with where they are now and convince them that that happiness is just over that next hill then all of a sudden we can steal kill and destroy everything that god came to give them i just believe that jesus has a different story for you i just believe that that jesus loves you too much to let you keep letting envy steal kill and destroy the abundant life that jesus came to give you and man it took me a long time to see it with singleness singleness is just an example but it's like a very clear example of our discontentment [Music] but along the way i kept pressing in i kept coming back i kept bringing it to god i kept talking to him about the singleness season of singleness that i'm in and about eight years later i was in my chevy cruze once again on another sunday evening after another long day of church the cruise was new back then it's not no it was cool back then it's not now it was in good condition back then it's not now all these things are true the only thing i lied about is that there was ever a day where chevy cruz was cool that's just not true this time it was after i had preached about being single for the first time about six months ago and everybody had left the parking lot and i was sitting there crying again this time it wasn't out of despair it was out of an excitement i wasn't jaded i was full of joy i wasn't feeling hopeless i was so full of contentment and just uh uh excitement for the man of god that god created me to be the season of life that god has placed me in and just able to just step into my identity as like yeah okay so i don't really i like relationships not a thing that i desire okay cool it makes me different gives me an edge hey it gives me a story to tell and it took me years but man i stopped feeling bad about it and all of a sudden i just started stepping into it going hey uh revelation 12 11 we overcome by two things what are they the blood of the lamb and the weight the story the weight of our testimony the power of our testimony well hey i've got a story to tell and hey there are a whole bunch of single people who feel lonely there are a whole bunch of single people who feel like they are doing something wrong and maybe god's got me on this earth to step up and pastor them through this time of singleness and so all of a sudden i'm sitting there i'm just like this is amazing i love being single now i love i love who god created me to be and i love getting to stand in rooms like this and tell every young adult that i can and every old person who's single that i can that hey there is nothing wrong with you hey you are not a second class citizen until you figure out this whole marriage thing hey you don't have to wait till you're married to begin your ministry god's ready to use you right here and right now so would you guys stand to your feet with me i this is my best attempt to give single people a new narrative but hey what i don't want to do is even for a minute try to belittle how real loneliness is hey man i get it i really do i get it and the power of our testimony helps but i also know in the dark times sometimes it's not enough that's right why the writer of revelation says it's not just the power of our testimony it's the blood of the lamb so single people your loneliness is real i'm just here to tell you that we know the end of the story which means your loneliness isn't going to last see if you're new around here you're like blood of the lamb what is this guy talking about one of the central pictures in the book of revelation is this lamb the sacrificial lamb who lays down his life so that the rest of us can go free and so we get this picture of jesus coming back for us this time not as a baby in a manger but as the king of kings and as the lord of lords hey his robe already soaked in blood [Music] ropes soaked in blood you know why there's this narrative that jesus is coming back to make war ah [Music] the battle was on the cross two thousand years ago the war was in the grave two thousand years ago his his robes already soaked in blood you know why because he's not coming back to make war he's not coming out back because he's back for our blood he's coming back because he overcame with his he's coming back because he knows you he sees you and he's here to tell you that one day every tribe tongue and nation will be together worshiping together together together together that means that your loneliness won't last so to the lonely one in this room it's real we don't belittle it for a moment but it's not eternal for the one who feels like they can't go on your loneliness won't last how about envy to the one who can't get past their friends getting married to one who can't get past their friends getting asked on dates but they aren't can i just tell you your envy is real but your envy is not eternal there's coming a day where we will all be together worshiping and there won't be any comparison there won't be any breakups there won't be any awkward dtrs there won't be any of that that where do we stand in all of this we would just be together as one body worshipping the lamb who has overcome let me say this man if somebody is going through a breakup right now [Music] somebody is going through a breakup right now can i speak this over your life your best days are ahead of you you need to get this in your soul right now your best days are still to come god's just getting started in your life i know it might feel like your entire world was was torn away from you can i just tell you that god prunes those that he loves and that he's making space making room like we sang earlier to do something new and something profound in your life so single person get your head up look look toward the clouds and remember that jesus is coming back and until that moment he's just getting started in your life man your best days are ahead of you hey to the one struggling with an addiction in this room maybe you've fallen down 100 times i'm here to tell you to get up 101 times you're not done hey that addiction is not the end of your story that addiction is not your identity there's coming a day where you will no longer be defined by that addiction and so it's time to start telling our future self what the word our present self what the word of god has to say about our future you keep pressing in you keep getting back here you get in a group you keep getting help you keep confessing and you keep looking up to heaven and worshiping the lamb who has overcome and so that's what we're gonna do just in these last few moments we're gonna get our eyes up gonna get our eyes up and sing hallelujah for the lamb has over come and young adult may i just tell you that you are loved you are not alone that god is just getting started in your life young adults would you hold out your hands like this for everybody in this room right now father god i pray in the name of jesus that you would speak identity over us for every single single person in this room i pray that you would remind them right now that they are loved that they aren't a second class christian that they don't have to wait until they're married to begin their ministry but that you are here for them right now and lord all across this room i pray that you would give us a new a fresh revelation of who you are as we sing hallelujah the lamb has overcome would you remind us that you are here and that we are just fine give us the courage to flip this script on singleness we don't have to wait and try to survive until we get there we can thrive right here so young adults less worship in the name of jesus [Music]
