[Music] [Applause] [Music] hello you guys happy 2021 i thought we would kick it off on my channel with my currently most requested video which is a what i eat in a week this week is going to be a little bit different from my past what i eat in a week because i am testing out a meal plan i've never really stuck to a meal plan before so i just want to give it a shot and see how i like it i do have some fitness goals for this year i just want to get stronger so i want to make sure i'm getting in enough protein and calories also just for overall health making sure i'm getting in vitamins minerals macros micronutrients all of that another thing i'm also trying right now is eating every few hours i just want to see how i feel when i do that because right now i feel like i'm eating quite sporadically eating every few hours is good for blood sugar regulation which can be helpful if you have insulin sensitivity or pcos i'm just about to head to the grocery store right now i need to pick up a few things for the meals i'm going to be doing this week and then i'm going to do a little bit of meal prep tomorrow nothing crazy i'm just going to be baking a couple things and prepping a couple ingredients for recipes but it's going to be pretty simple i think that is enough of an intro so let's go get the goods [Music] today is sunday and we are going to do meal prep it's actually more like snack prep we are going to make some chia pudding i ended up getting a can of coconut milk because i couldn't find a boxed milk that didn't have any additives in it so this only has organic coconut and water and then i'm also going to make protein muffins and then i'm also making protein balls i'm just gonna wing it so we will see how it turns out this is one cup it's almost two cups close enough we're gonna do a quick splash of vanilla it's probably about a teaspoon tablespoon of maple syrup and a quarter cup of chia seeds which i think is three tablespoons somewhere around there this jar was the perfect size so quick and then you can top this with whatever you want so for these protein date balls i don't really know what i'm doing i have some dates i kind of want to use up my tigernut flour i'm going to use some almond butter this is chocolate protein powder i might add a splash of water this is super like thick and sticky right now that is really good oh my gosh do i even want to add the tiger nut flour do i do oats ooh this would be really good with oats okay i'm changing my mind i'm gonna mix this with oats and then roll them into balls they were pretty sticky so i rolled them in some coconut and that is how they turned out so here are the muffins there's about eight more i'm just letting them cool and then i'm gonna put another layer on top i need to invest in a big tupperware container because they don't ever have anything for baked goods so they're just in this glass pyrex dish right now these are pretty high in protein they have eggs greek yogurt and protein powder in them three scoops of protein powder so i haven't tried one yet but hopefully they taste good here are all of the snacks prepped for the week very excited i've never had this many options ready and then this is what i'm doing for the actual meal prep i'm just gonna make this pack of barley blend and i'm going to grate some carrots for raw carrot salad and then i will be all done for the day [Music] so [Music] i just finished up my workout so i'm just drinking more water i also brought a built bar this one is chocolate carrot with walnut this was one of the flavors i was really excited to try like what is someone barking at barking or someone honking at but it is whey protein there's 17 grams of protein in these also somebody mentioned that they put these in the freezer so i really want to try that they all have a similar taste because they are coated in chocolate the outside's the same um but it definitely has like a bit of a carrot taste but it's not very strong it's hard to talk meat this at the same time i need to run a couple errands and then i'm gonna go home and i'm gonna have my second morning breakfast so i will see you guys when i make that good this is my first time in a very long time that i've cooked myself a proper lunch i'm definitely going to keep this recipe i feel like this will be one of my go-to's in rotation it's really good also i'm kind of craving sparkling water i almost always get the grapefruit flavor so i decided to switch it up and i got apricot and it's pretty good i think i still like the grapefruit one better but if you guys drink lacroix lacroix whatever you want to call it what is your favorite flavor i think i want to try mango next [Music] oh you wish [Music] so [Music] [Music] it is 2pm and i'm going to make the leftovers from yesterday crawley's on a meeting so i'm talking quiet but it's gonna be really easy to whip up and it was so good so i'm excited to eat it again so there we have it it doesn't look as pretty today because i just heated everything up in the pan together it is 3 p.m i'm gonna have a snack and i'm going to try out the chia pudding it looks really thick because you're supposed to use like milk milk i feel like canned milk is a lot thicker so we'll see how this is um it's actually so good [Music] i'm just doing a small shot of apple cider vinegar this morning because i'm going to be making a different juice mixture so it's more like a shop than a drink not bad actually [Music] so [Music] [Music] hello you guys so i'm trying not to talk too much in this video because i know it's gonna be a long one but i just finished up another workout i tried doing hit like a hit session at the gym and honestly i don't think i'm gonna be able to do cardio or hit training at the gym while we have to wear masks because i was dying i could not breathe and i know that sounds dramatic but it was actually terrible i'm probably gonna stick to weight training while we have to wear masks and maybe do cardio at home or something i don't know i'm gonna have to figure something out but i just asked on my instagram if any of you guys know of any good training masks because i would love to find a more breathable mask for working out but anyways the reason i'm popping on is because i'm actually going to meet up with cousin steve and so i brought a built bar today we are having the toffee almond because i'm not going to be home for probably another an hour or two and by the way if any of you guys are interested i do have a discount code with build bar you get protein it literally tastes like a candy bar these are kind of like a treat for working out okay so got a jet [Music] hot blog i just got home i'm going to have one of these balls as a snack and then i'm going to make lunch and i'm just using some leftovers i'm going to make a little tuna mixture and i'm just going to put it on top of this barley mix and i think i'm gonna mix in my raw carrot with the tuna today [Music] i feel like this is kind of a random mix of things and i don't know how it's going to taste that is going to be my lunch hello today i am just buying a chicken breast and then i'm just going to use the rest of the leftovers and make the lunch that i've been making for the past couple days so not super interesting but colby's not home tonight it's just going to be me i'm lazy i don't really feel like putting too much together so this is easy it is resourceful that will be dinner [Music] i'm putting together lunch right now but i'm going to have one of these balls fridge was super full at the beginning of this week and now things are dwindling but i think i'm just going to have the rest of this tuna it's not a lot i'm going to put it on toast cheek is at my feet just hoping something falls what are you doing down there so there's my tuna toast and i'm also going to make a chlorophyll water drink i get a lot of questions about chlorophyll because i've posted about it a bunch of times and honestly it's hard to say if i've noticed a difference but there are a lot of different potential health benefits from using chlorophyll it's also really high in copper i think i've showed you this before i'm not sure but i'm just gonna put water in here and then about a tablespoon of liquid chlorophyll some milk thistle this is really good for your liver and then this is a cranberry concentrate you could also use cranberry juice [Music] oh well there you go cheeks good morning you guys it is the last day of the week today is now friday i'm just making my morning drinks that have pretty much been the same every day so i feel like i don't really need to explain it like i said our fridge is getting pretty empty i need to see what i wrote down for what i was going to eat today i kind of wanted to give you guys a mini review on my experience doing like meal prep or meal planning sorry i just woke up so i'm silly audience oh i know i have tears coming out of my eyes oh a tear literally just fell into my mouth what was i saying oh yeah this is kind of my first time actually having a structure and personally i really liked it and i want to do it again it does require a day of prep so probably on sunday i will pick my recipes and do grocery shopping and then it took me a couple hours to make the snacks and prep the couple ingredients but it was so helpful throughout the week for me my meal plan was super flexible it wasn't about like this is what you have to eat you can't eat anything else it was more like here are things you can eat like suggestions just having options because my issue was that i wasn't eating proper food throughout the middle of the day because um well i either wouldn't eat or i would just like snack on things and i wasn't eating like proper meals i think having a bit of structure is really helpful for me personally still keeping it super flexible and then if you really feel like you don't want to eat one of the meals like swap it so yeah that is kind of just my review on the experience definitely gonna do it again but i wanna do like different meals each week but then also i feel like after doing this for a while i'll find recipes that i really like it'll be easier because right now i'm still kind of like testing out different meals but anyways cheers mix your apple cider vinegar and some apple juice like you honestly don't taste it [Music] so so i was gonna do a snack platter for lunch today with cheese and meat and crackers and veggies and things but i totally forgot and i used up all the cheese in the tacos last night i'm gonna have to make something else and we are running low on groceries now so we'll see what i come up with well we just picked up these bagels i'm going to do a sort of breakfast sandwich i'm going to heat up an egg and some ham and then put it in this bagel it's like a little smiley face yum yum i also feel like having some orange juice i'm just gonna have some of this there's a cookie recipe on the back of the kodiak cakes that i've been wanting to try so we're gonna do where is it this recipe [Music] okay [Music] i'm currently editing this video and like
