what's up guys junior here and I'm fuller and we're bring you a new series because that's just what we were around here we're calling it popular so what we're doing is taking all the data from our gallery with all the popular trucks and showing you the popular wheels tires and suspension that fit on there so to do so like I said we've used the gallery and we're going with minor plastic trimming for most of these and just showing you what are all the popular fits for those vehicles using a leveling kit a small lift kit and a big lift kit and then telling you wheel tire size that people are running what fits my oppressive trimming let's jump into it with our first truck and oh seven to 13 Chevy Silverado 1500 the first shop we're picking is the old 7 or 13 Silverado because you probably own one your grandpa Bob Dylan's one your cousin probably owns one and that guy down the street has one too it's a super popular truck so starting with a leveling kit which is probably one of the more popular one just because it's so cheap and easy to level these trucks the most common size that people are running is a 20 by 9 0 or negative 12 offset now the difference between a 0 to negative 12 this is literally 12 millimeters the negative 12 will stick out 12 millimeters further than your zero but both are very very close to sitting pretty much flush with your fender depending what size tire you're going with a lot of these guys are running a 33 by 11 the bigger wider tires are gonna stick out a little bit more and basically have a sidewall poke compared to your like straight up and down stock wheels and tires so a lot of times - if you're going on the gather or if you're shopping for tires you're gonna find that you can't find a 33 by 11 and that's because most of these guys are running a metric tire size but you don't really have to understand the metric tire size with a cross-section width and the ratio that goes into the wheel diameter all that is just too many numbers to pay attention to so we've actually made it where if you go on the gallery you find a truck you like you click on it it's gonna tell you that metric size but right underneath it it's also gonna show you what it converts out to in that standard size so it's easier for you to understand so next up is three and a half inch level lifts and probably the most popular one on the market right now is the Rough Country a lot of guys are going with this because it's still not a full suspension lift you know doing a lot of difficult installation it's pretty much it's still leveling kit popping and go but you got three and a half inches is basically it as high as you can go with your factory angles and stuff like that and believe it or not what people are running on this three-and-a-half inch leveling lift kit is a twenty by twelve which is pretty surprising to me honestly covering a twelve on a three and a half inch lift and then they're running a 33 by twelve is basically what they're looking at a 33 12 and a half or a 305 55 but what they're doing is they're not running an aggressive mud tiger on this they're running a stretched or pretty cool stuff and down street tires they're running their middle 420 is their Tokyo proxies their Toro a Z eight hundreds or whatever they're running a tire that has a little more clearance because doesn't have huge chunky side lugs on the sidewall they're gonna hit on the fender and on the front of the bumper so another thing to keep in mind too when you're going through the gallery and fighting these trucks so people submit them to us and they include all the data we go through and approve it all and make sure everything's accurate but there could always be some variances in there so it's important to find like at least three to five trucks that running the same setup before you decide to purchase it so like in this case there's plenty of guys that are getting away with that minor plastic trimming and then dealing with just a slight bit of rubbing or they go in and do a full NorCal and then you can actually get away with these twenty by twelve and the less aggressive tires with no rubbing then because of that right and the other thing to keep in mind too is the diameter doesn't necessarily matter when you're talking about fitment the width is what matters when you run in a twenty by twelve versus 22 by twelve all that matters for fitment reasons is the width that's how much your tire sticks so that's how much it's gonna rub the diameter there's nothing for the width as far as that the diameter might give you more or less tire size options to make it a big or small you go but yeah tire size options and then the only thing you have to worry about if you're changing the diameter is going smaller than stock because you won't clear your brakes but going any bigger doesn't impact fitment other than changing your options for tires and it has nothing to do with how far they stick out so 20 doesn't stick out any further 20 to what you mentioned so on a 6-inch lift the most popular ran setup in our gallery for Euro 7 to 13 Chevy Silverado 1500 is a 20 by 12 with a 33 12 and a half so it's basically the same as what we just talked about I'm a three and a half but more people are running it with a six inch lift kit just because it's basically more comfortable you don't have to worry about taking that tire and running it into your fender or you know cutting half of your fenders out just to today without any rubbing yeah and then what people are doing too is they're potentially going up to a 35 and doing a lot of trimming or the other option that a lot of people are doing is especially like Rough Country they offer six and the umpire also offer a seven and a half so people have jump up to that seven and a half and get that little bit taller then so it can run their 35 all run a 33 with like no trimming then another option that people are going with - instead of going to that 12 wide is just selecting a little bit narrower wheel so they're going with like a 20 by 10 as compared to the 20 by 12 so that brings it in a little bit because the offsets are less and the overall width is less - and that allows them to run like a 35 inch tire and still do some of that trimming but have the clearance available to handle everyday driving so we're going to bring you guys now while doing our research in the gallery we were looking for the most outrageous setup while looking at our leveling kits small lift kits slash leveling kits and then big lift kits because there's always somebody out there who goes way less aggressive and they have wheels tucked in or giant lift kit but not as big a wheels and people are like ah girl skip leg day and then there's also the guys that are like nah I'm just gonna go as wide as possible with as little lift as possible and that's what this guy did be Riley be 23 so he's got the old 7 to 13 Silverado he's actually running 22 by 14 with a negative 76 offset these things stick out there like crazy and I have no idea how he's even able to turn at all and he's that yeah and then he's on a churro trail blade mt so it's it's not a street tire he's ever done he's on a mud tire so aggressive sidewall aggressive pattern tread pattern all of that it's on the leveling kit and that thing is insane so if you want to pull off something crazy you definitely can if you're willing to do crazy trimming or just make a 12-point turn to get in drive and he's got minor metal trimming and he rubs and I'm sure he rubs a lot so if you guys want to know what fits on your vehicle feel free to come up to the gallery it's custom Auster's com4 class gallery you can look at over 40,000 trucks there and you can also add yours if you've got custom wheels and tires also drop a comment below on what truck's body styles you guys want to see next we'll come back next week with another episode talking about leveling kits lift kits and big lift kits on that body style for you make sure to LIKE share it subscribe on the youtubes be peace
