WHAT DOES PAPA DAR @FabRats DO????

do you guys want to know what Papa Dar does in the summertime now you know this is it he hangs out at the Grand Canyon at [Music] Sunset all right everybody welcome to another heck Adventures my name is Ben and today we've got something special you guys wonder what papad Dar from fab brats does all summer you're going to be on the inside track of building roads so right now we're on the state line of Utah and Arizona and we've got the man the myth the legend right in the middle of work is it too early to be on camera I'm never on camera what kind of oil is this it's called pmrc chip chipping oil chil easy how far did you come down to get this oil to us Sal Lake so all the way from Salt Lake we got to get the the oil loaded up and and I've seen the couple chip trucks already head out so we don't have to eat their dust and we'll see you on the [Music] road did your door go clear shut it's shut door it's going to be a good day I hope it's going to be got to get better yep it's going to get better well 70 miles of fun beautiful dirt road so when you get in a big truck like this it's been a long time since I've messed with a radio but breaker breaker one9 anybody got a copy out there yeah working sorry I'm just messing on the radio that was hey Troy you have a good trip up Salt Lake buddy he got you another day that was our tanker driver that answered so that was pretty awesome what do we make it 30 minutes and we've already got a broken part I'll show them so they just barely bladed the road which made it really bad but right there that is supposed to be there and it's popped this airbag so we've got to do a we've got to do a side road fix here wait all right so here's where we're at got a rock put the Rock in back of the tire shoved it for we had a chain in in the truck and so we've got this so it won't at least flop the back axle but now our Chaser truck hasn't been here we had a chaser truck following us and it's nowhere to be found and we're worried they might have had some issues blowing tires or something so it's a little bit of a fun time all right back on the road so update that fix didn't work but we've got the drop axle chained up now and we got it chained up and Darwin put a vice grip on the airline cuz it blew both airbags so he's got a he's got vice grips on the airlines so you can build up here we're back on the road [Music] [Applause] on the four-wheeler last 10 miles from the schoolhouse it's pretty good time all right so we're almost to the dug way the dug way is the scariest part of the whole trip it's a pretty windy road to get down to the the bart1 try to catch up with DAR to see if uh get some footage of him going down the hill the last spot in the tra and this one's [Music] bad Darwin made it we'll see if Kelly can make it off the hill here kind of give you a little bit perspective both made it awesome [Music] we made it there's the ranch right there last time I was down here this water was all the way up to that top Bank when this river goes It goes flash flood [Music] lamb construction lamb Excavating last truck all right so real quick so we made it down here the crappy thing about making it down here is the work day just began yeah but we made it Dar and good spirits really hey you excited I'm telling you we get down here and no joke freaking Rock flipped up punctured this radiator so now we got to do Bush fix on the second oil truck just to get this one running so it can throw some oil down I [Music] mean my truck had the same thing happen 30 miles up the road on the way here and we pinched it time this time I have it shut off over there it's worse [Music] you guys that don't know what chip and seill is it's the process of putting oil down and then you go right over the top of that with chip or rock and that's what uh that's what we did on the runway it's it was done about 9 years ago these guys did it and we're just wanting to redo it and to add more spot up to the parking area so I'm going to bring you guys on the process here all right so Papa Dar is in the oil truck here and he'll be laying down the oil and then uh they this is the chipping machine right there that'll be laying out the chip right over the top of the oil and then that way it all seals it so that's where you get chip and seal from [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] going to say anything about you not being able to back up a truck 25 mph that one's go 34 go faster than M holy crap starting on the runway now it's real [Music] [Music] [Music] hey that's a fre pretty freaking cool process right there this is what hey this is what Darwin does during the summertime we don't get to see him because of this stuff right here that's cool [Music] [Music] so that's the pile of Chip right there that they've been hauling in all week so Kelly's over here load tracks almost got her done so close these two are the B 10 employees they're absolutely my favorite this is uh Captain Jack hey uh what's doing the parking lot now and by were not me last load right there the day have the last that's a good feel is a good feel sure like it oh yeah a lot dude this is a lot of equip like this so we got to we got to roll this right here smoosh this all flat we've got a guy that's asphalting tomorrow uh Spencer asphalt shout out to them lamb excavation and and definitely shout out to them all right so this is the end of it we came we run out of oil we did but we came we conquered we kicked its in anyway we got Papa Dar he said he would never come out here again I don't know if we're going to get him back but it looks awesome and we appreciate him coming down here now you guys know what Papa Dar does in the summertime all summer not a bad end of a day with a pretty sweet sunset all right Dar you've flown before haven't you yeah so Dar we got some old school Valley guys right here and a kid of an old school valy guy [Music] so the bartend is always going to hold a really strong place my heart I started there when I was uh 18 years old in 1998 uh the r ranches 10 Mi north of the Grand Canyon and still today is one of the only places that you can fly a helicopter in and out of the canyon what a beautiful beautiful place and anybody want to go on a family vacation you will never find a better spot than barttin Ranch check them out online [Music] so these guys right here are Runway so it's pretty big uh pretty big project and the middle of nowhere and so yeah give boy a call but I'm going to show you guys once it's finished what that looks like check this out first flow to Asphalt look how nice this looks yeah this is such a cool project you guys yeah both those Get Low over here after a couple of good days we headed home and I had Gavin the owner do a last video to had one truck blow in oil pan today one truck rolled over tipped over no one hurt thank goodness uh we were about 10 yard shorter than we wanted to but man it turned out nice should be good for the next 10 years finishing rolling out this asphalt we got about 20,000 Square ft of asphalt it was 300 ton 250 ton of Chip 3,000 gallons of oil for the chip and seill thanks [Music] Ben so we got our
