We Waited 4 Years For This.. (Cuphead The Delicious Last Course DLC)

[Music] yes hello everyone welcome back to cuphead we have been waiting for this particular dlc release of the game for i don't know like four years and it's finally here and i'm ready to play it if you didn't know we played cupheads we completed it in a very lucky live stream which i'll link down below if you haven't seen it you can check out afterwards we've got a new character miss chalice and we've got some new levels and bosses as well now um i didn't actually play this game on my pc and i've done 42 of the game in like an hour and a half i don't know what happened to me i just went crazy mode last night and was like you know what i should probably uh try and play this because i've completely forgotten how to play it but hopefully you're excited for checking out the brand new cuphead dlc and i'm just going to play this straight through i don't think it's really long but i need to head to uh this place over here so to activate the dlc what you need to do is take down one of the more zillions monolims one of those take down one of those if you haven't done so already and then talk to this guy right here the legendary chalice bid me to carry a message to you because miss chalice actually appears in all of the mausoleums in the base game anyway but this is like a extra backstory i guess she needs your help a fire file a mysterious discovery the boat awaits let us depart absolutely clock face let's go i'm also um playing as mugman today but i do want to try out the new character and also man i love this art style so much the delicious last course which is exactly what this dlc is called uh if you're excited leave a like subscribe if you're brand new as well for more old-school gameplays i'm feeling the old-school school gameplays recently oh man i'm so ready to jump into this what good legendary challenge we're looking for all the way out here that's my name my voice for cuphead uh gosh cuphead i i don't know i hope she's okay we sure are far from home i feel like doing like a an overly british accent matches its music oh a portal hello jumping jelly beads you boys made it i have the most amazing notes and all i have to do is some this here cookie oh i wasn't expecting that uh take a bite and see for yourself the mysterious cookie do you just take bites of cookies from strangers probably shouldn't but it seems to have worked out uh it worked it really worked i'm alive again wait she just killed off mugman wait hold on you swapped souls uh but uh now i'm a ghost [Music] she's like i'm out i'm alive see you later what's going on here everything's called topsy-turvy follow me boys i could explain everything okay you better because you've just killed off my brother mugman for ages i've been trying to find a way to escape the astral plane but nothing worked until now boys let me introduce you to chef sol baker what's up buddy the greatest chef in all the lands welcome friends to my bakery ah miss chalice i see my cookie has worked wonders upon you he's like a genie but also a baker at the same time oh my stars yeah get swapped you can't just be swapping songs like that i'm a ghost again oh my finnicky thing that cookie oh jeez no uh fred not know my concern little cups i've come up with an amazing new recipe one bite of this wonder tart and you'll have a complete control over the astral plane this guy's cooking up some potions and putting them in baked goods i like it this wonder tart could bring chalice back to life for good no swap in places or nothing indeed one problem the recipe requires exceptional ingredients held by the most fearsome of foes so we can actually play as miss chalice which i haven't done yet apparently she works completely differently to the other characters so i guess we'll find out uh well if the wonder tart is what it takes to bring the chalice back to life then buy golly who will find those ingredients we certainly will so that's the story behind the dlc i guess here we are stay on your guard intrepid intrepid we're doing an english lesson right now unbelievable uh fetching those ingredients will be a test of wet and wheels but remember like any good bake heart and soul is the secret ingredient absolutely hey we back so at the minute i'm playing as mugman and i wanted to play the first bit that i mentioned in the beginning to get at least some unlocks so i can get some charms some extra attacks and stuff and i'll run through those in a minute worry not i'll keep perfecting this recipe while you're out about i just know you'll put yourself fully into bringing this wonder tart to life the fabled ingredients await friends hmm now whether i put the salt i don't know i like this guy it's like a bubble let's see where we end up what's the uh what's the aisle looking like one more thing chaps remember to equip that nifty cookie charm in the menu if you want to battle as miss chalice so this my equip menu right here this is what i'm currently running i went back and look at my old video to see what i used to beat the game before and i used the pea shooter with ex mega blast and then i use the chaser and you can switch between the two because this allows you to like jump around while holding the shoot button and just get some extra shots in because it's a homing missile basically i'm currently using the energy beam which is my favorite but could use invincibility at some point depending on what bosses come up and the charm i'm using at the minute is twin heart not 100 sure if this is a new one or not because they have added some new charms in but i've heard that the astral cookie right here is very different when you play as mischalis you've got uh none of these charms work you can't apply charm so let's see what happens absolutely nothing never mind we're like an old school english bakery i'm in my homeland oh so this will send us back i guess let's see what bosses we've got i've seen none of this recipe for miss chalice who's this guy hello little cat extra extra chef so guys can't read awarded best baker in all lands oi if you're heading out for trouble this is got a load of it with your sturdy pips look like you've seen the upside of the lowdown bro but hey here's a little tin to help you on your way anyway oh okay we're just handing out money now fantastic so is there new shops here [Music] uh what is this what is i got three i got five coins bootlegger boogie so that's a boss fight let's see what's up here the king's leap hmm what else should we check out i kind of want to dive into a level you know hello friends we got giant stone feet there's too much oh here's the shot let me go in the shop real quick so i got stuff to spend money on and then we'll try out the new character right we have these are all normal ones what is this a simple bauble of unknown origin a broken relic interesting converge full screen i think these are all new you know harry for hp is one that i am definitely got my eyes on but we'll see straight shot with good damage breaks into weaker aimed projectiles full screen piercing three-way shot hold lock button to narrow spread rapid fire shot with arcs pathway and average damage this three-way shot one sounds pretty cool i'm kind of intrigued by the broken relic though let's not buy anything yet let's head into our first level and let's see how we get on because miss chalice can't use them anyway let's start this no idea what it's going to be but let's start it oh it's a tutorial uh this is michelle is hey how's it going so she has like i said she uses none of the special abilities so she has parry dash no idea oh she has double jump that's kind of nice sprinkle on some invincibility oh that's sick and then she has the the regular shooting okay so double jump is real nice and then you can parry these but why would you want to double jump or draw okay the parry dash is a little bit strange we can double jump harry dash and dash again oh i kind of see why that's good now it's weird to get used to this though when you've been playing as like mugman for a while so we double jump this okay decent let me get a free coin as well does it go up to six it does i say we try out the chalice and we're gonna go for this boss right here the bootlegger boogie is it a spider that's what i'm that's what i'm thinking underground with a spider web no it's a full i don't even know what okay i already got hit this is not good [Music] stop that stop that the double jump is kind of crazy actually they're bombs those are definitely bombs it's going to take me a while to learn what earth we need to do here but i feel like the double jump is definitely handy how do you get rid of these bombs can we even get rid of them oh you can parry that i thought i was gonna be able to dodge past that obviously not dude there is a lot going on already oh my god oh no and as well i don't have my five hp going on hold on i'm dead i'm dead i'm dead i'm dead i'm not dead i'm not dead i'm not dead so we can just dash past these man i've been playing i've been playing as mugman too often we hardly got past any of that oh god chalice is so hard to use there's a little swap i want to try at least i feel like the double jump is really good here because a single jump doesn't actually get you anywhere i have four hp as well which is is uh worth noting because in my other one i have um in my mugman build i have five obviously my attack damage is way less can i swap oh i can still swap to this oh nice she has the homing one too see look how good this is ah get out oh god did i get hit i did so when you're not on the same level switch to this and it kind of takes care of the enemies for you which is nice it does less damage which is the downside let's go this way down okay i think i'm getting it then you want to switch the blue when you can to get more damage here we go oh i did not see that oh i didn't see that after the last moment either we've got a third fruit right let me go back to the map real quick and see if i can quickly reset my stuff up i thought that these didn't matter but i think they do i did want to buy the extra parry thing so that you can heal when you parry and that'd be quite good on this one because the parry seems to be easy to easy to use right let's see how this goes mugman oh we can jump okay we're good oh my god i can't even concentrate and like talk at the same time but i was using the invincible dash when i was playing this yesterday last night off camera but i have to get used to that not being the case oh that green thing is really messing me up [Music] let's switch to the green let's get rid of these as much of them as possible [Music] there we go yeah the parry with the extra health will probably turn out to be quite nice at some point let's see oh god this thing is oh we can destroy it okay sweet i just can't go over the design of this game man it's so good so satisfying to look at see mugman is much easier to use get him i want to save up for my big power move as well because that is so good switch to green just get these ones on the lower level this green um this green gun is actually really good for levels like this when you've got different um levels i guess where's he going now what are you up to because it means you have to be a little bit less accurate with your placement what is going on oh when they're red you can't get hit how am i supposed to dodge that though oh this is horrible [Music] okay i need to concentrate [Music] oh get down get down oh god no no no mug man you're good you're good mugman no you're bad oh god this is so hard trying to get down across it's really hard to keep track of everything but again the green is kind of giving me some give me some leeway i was gonna say yo this is long this one's really long okay concentration mode this one's coming down oh god it's already going horribly wrong okay the main thing you need to notice is whether the red is going clockwise or anti-clockwise left or right what we up to i think we need to hit this lady in the middle so that's what i'm going to focus on and this is why the green gun is so good too we're going the other way i've got the secrets i figured it out let's go i just need to trust that my green gun is going to pull through for me oh god i don't want hp already wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait oh god what is happening a snail snail was buying this the whole time what are you doing little auntie to stop that how am i supposed to know where you're coming from i have stage is really long okay we need a plan for the anteater and you can't really practice it that much let's get back there to hp i have got some invincibility so i might just use that to try and figure out how on earth we figure out where he's coming from oh maybe we just stay down here actually [Music] and then we just avoid it if he's got a tongue yeah yeah that's it okay we got it and avoid the spitball he does little tongue flicks though can we parry the tongue no oh he spat me out right there little punk okay we're good we're good we're good at least we figured it out now this pit bull is did we do it yeah the new knockout screen is sick no i don't believe it he just clicked me i don't believe it three hp three hp here we go we got this get out of here snail boy yeah don't get licks don't get licked remember what happens here [Music] like this is just really slow damage don't lick me the reaction charges for the liquid is so quick i kind of want to save this for the next uh the next little boss thing so i don't quite know if i'm gonna need my special or not yeah i knew that was gonna happen we'll make sure whether spitball comes out no [Music] oh if they licked me then are they in trouble okay got it got some good damage in them oh my god it keeps teasing it this is good though to hp come on now make sure you use your dashes because i always forget yes okay the fake knockout has occurred how do i get rid of this guy no i was gonna do this get out of my sight let's go if in doubt use your special oh my god almost defeated by a snail i pressed triangles in a circle that felt like a long fight some of the other ones that i managed to do at the beginning of the game were like two minutes ten so that's an extra 40-ish minutes at seconds even of fighting but we did it mugman mugman op i know some of you will be upset that i'm not using the new character but um oh i've got the distillery oh yeah because it's the ingredients i forgot yeah i'm sorry i'm not using the new character i'm just so used to mugman getting used to the chalice and trying to do especially a level like that that that was hard uh boom scale nothing i love more than a good ghost story around the campfire i heard word of a ghostly gal wrapping up no good varmints rounds here i reckon i keep track of our exploits to myself i should love to tell the tale of villainous veggies vanquished right six coins i think i'm gonna visit the shop real quick and i might head up to whatever's up top [Music] oh man that was quite the uh quite the mission i feel like we should go for the heart ring your first parry move doubles as a damaging axe attack ah i don't think i'm gonna get that um should we just buy this don't know what that is oh he's running out of stock okay decent so we've pretty much got all the relics that we're gonna need now we just need to decide whether you want to change it up so can we change there's the heart ring there's the relic but what does it do i'm gonna i'm gonna equip it and see what happens so the heart ring is the same as uses the same slot as the twin heart because remember this weakens my attack power and then when i go to shot b that also weakens my shot power as well so it's that might be why our boss battle lasts like three minutes instead just a little bit longer all right let's go up here king's leap let's do it oh is this actually a fight oh it's a fight it's a fight he's cool i like him sorry i'm just kind of patting you up real quick just see what's going on with your oh wait maybe i'm not going to shoot him boy uh hell yeah i bid the welcome to my floating palace i am the one true king the king of games yuki yuki is that you from afar i have seen you battle with zeal and a plum and love i grant thee a place in my royal tournament in these bouts your weapons and charms shan't be of use oh okay you have to find different means to best my champions from victories riches now into the fray with haste for soon my first champion awaits wait okay so i've just got used to being able to use them and now i can't so my brain let's see what happens oh it's a parry mode no shooting is weird they're monkeys it's a parry tournament and we already got three hit points we need to remember that and they can oh god my brain my brain cannot focus i thought if they had no heads they wouldn't be able to attack me but turns out they could kill me we got pretty far actually this is fun man i love this let's go yeah we've got this did i say enrage or engage because i'll probably be doing both but i really thought they'd be down and out if i took their heads off oh god got it got it got it also i'm finding if you're playing cuphead by the way uh using the d-pad is a lot easier unless you're doing those oh no we've got one left there he is yoink that's what i'm talking about let's go uh yeah using the d-pad it's way easier because it's a bit more precise unless you're doing the plane missions in the the base game hey what do you think of that sir huh you dispatched that champion so few rounds brave cups by reward wealth on coins coinage two two coins i'll take it furthermore i permit the special entry to the next match uh man it was all mine that looked insane that was sick all right let's go i bid the farewell hello horse um you challenging me huh you challenging me ow okay that hurts it's like all i can need to kind of lure him into attacking and then when he gets tired we parry him oh how are we gonna dodge that though that's a little bit cheeky how am i gonna dodge that i'm trying to process that in my brain come on fellow i got this yep i'm sure i'm gonna dodge that maybe jump a w for me an l for you this guy's down with the language as well oh god this one's a little bit longer we did not get far at all that time i think we might want to have harry if he does that too oh we just need to decide whoa why i missed it though yeah there we go get out of here boy now we need to do it the other way this makes me feel uncomfortable we need to decide what attack he's going to do just by the look of it and then we might be able to get another cheeky parry in no but if we're too far away progression of this game does make you feel like you're good at games see what i mean i'm learning and you're going down horsey boy i don't think i am good enough to be able to get the parian then no it was the other one how far do we get oh that is not far at all is it oh no we do have other options though we do have another boss we can take on i feel like this is like a secret extra bit that was for each one now and nessie there was no little checkpoints on that map like the progression map so i'm guessing he doesn't no i need to definitely remember that one so i'm guessing he doesn't change at any point just gonna go through the same three attacks the whole time yeah oh i thought i was missing that one what about his mane is so oh god why did i do that that was awful awful play by me a on to maybe a normal boss and then come back to this right then get over there that looks like elsa he's killed elsa he's beheaded elsa take this don't you dare the head elsa again no that was an easy one you got a cheap one there oh god get it yes gotcha gotcha i need to focus on one head at a time which isn't going well currently like this one i'm dead beating you is pretty straightforward hey calm down you you're wearing a castle around your neck these little sparks at the bottom actually make it way more difficult because you've got the skulls to avoid as well okay no i just i keep forgetting that they can hit you that's three though moving on to next section there we go oh there's double god oh my god oh my god he's on i'm a one hp though oh god they're getting faster dead yet i keep thinking the pink ones don't kill you and then he's got like a final section as well this middle section is really long all right come on we got this we will avenge elsa this is the bit that more weapons to buy maybe we could buy straight shot with good damage breaks into weaker aimed projectiles let's try that radial barrage hold attack to increase damage no rapid fire so precision is key that could be fun or a full screen piercing three-way shot and then because i kind of hold my fire button quite a lot so i don't know whether that's gonna be a good idea rapid five arched yeah i don't like that one either um let's go let's try this one the lobber kablooey medium range good damage and slow rate of fire let's try some of these out i mean we've got the what is one we've got at the minute the relic i just want to see what this does if anything let's head to old stone feet no way out okay i'm do this one first because the other one requires a bridge to get to it so i'm guessing it's harder hey how's it going buddy all right we can parry this one oh god we can carry a lot actually i'm just gonna hold my shooting button can we not go down to the bottom is there spikes you just said that to me let's try straight shot with good damage breaks into weaker aiming projection let's try the crack shot and then i need to use those green ones to get rid of the punks at the bottom alright let's see how this is oh oh this is bad so we can hold this one is it bouncing though trying to figure out what on earth this is doing who's crossing oh do you know what i don't have my extra hp which is awful the extra hp really is needed oh my god why am i using this charm this charm is so bad right i need the twin heart not sure on the crack shot let's try the electro bolt let's at least give it a try i love the designs of these bosses already by the way this is great oh this is cool a little triple right so we can go down here but oh those are gnome hats i don't only just have thought otherwise this has some good range on it you know i'm just not aiming and it's hitting loads the spread damage is crazy good yeah i like this one and we can always switch the aiming one too this is great [Music] and i think i saw on the the old timeline that he's got three no where do i jump he's got three of these stages oh i thought i was dead then we got the extra hb the homie missiles but i'm just gonna try and take him out move along oh i could have done without lats i didn't need it i just want to see what this is my man just hate me oh my god what i'm taking on an this is actually really tricky i'm just gonna use the homing missiles because they just seem to be the most logical explanation don't carry that bring them all back okay i got this i think i'm good and i've used my special on him already so i might be fine [Music] oh i was so close oh man i didn't even see that drumstick coming for me right i'm gonna do you proud three hp into the stomach with a special okay i think we switched to green like we did last time and now we've got the technique down i think we're fine i think we're going to be okay famous lots words ah mess up the special oh i missed that should have left that a little bit longer barry always parry i love this design this is probably my favorite going into the stomach why is that my favorite not sure i just got the luckiest parry of my life by the way oh no there we go there's another lucky parry i think we're gonna be fine [Music] can i hit another one of these oh it's different with this i forgot there we go easy dog okay so there's something that's different with the not the max special but the mini special of the green gun and i haven't quite figured it out yet 216 not too bad i feel like so when i was testing through some of those run throughs the lightning bolts are weaker than the green so we just need to remember that depending on which boss we're going for a grade b though hey i'll take that out here feet now we have the ice castle we got the gnome berries and our boy with the old ladder is back uh what do you want to do i think our setup is pretty nice right now so the only thing we don't have i'm not actually sure what the third super is the only way we can do that is by going to the third mausoleum snow occult shuffle so we've got that one but we also have one over here i don't know how many bosses are left how many have we done two main bosses and some of the tournament there's a cactus down here i feel like we might need to beat up high noon let's do it let's see what happens here this is a ghost right mentioned a ghost nevermind that's a cow oh it's one of these okay so i need to remember how on earth these work so we can go man i'm glad i played through some of the game yesterday so when you press triangle you can go small and you move a little bit faster i've already lost two right now oh my god this is horrible oh i forgot i can switch to these two because in the i've only played one of the um the plane missions [Music] in the first part of the story oh man there's a lot going on here holy and i can only hear when she's at the top or the bottom oh i should notice that okay i think we've got a good grasp on what's going on here the dynamites are awful the special on the plane though is really really good what's this oh you hovering up i got killed by a penny prepared you're the tomb right inside my vacuum these characters are great look at how that little circle has been sucked up by our hoover as well that is top-notch detail right i feel like we
