hey guys before we begin I quickly want to thank you all so much for the support we got after the robbery here in the studio spontaneously you guys started to donate which again I don't want to ask for that but you guys did and we were able to buy a brand new camera because of that so thank you so much guys we've got the Blackmagic pocket cinema camera right here for our studio recordings and we're going to look into buying some more cameras for the studio of course now in a different topic guys 5D deal is again around the corner this is the biggest filmmaking collaboration of the year and to kick that off we're giving away over ten thousand dollars in prizes but that giveaway is starting tomorrow so you can already check the link down in the description below if it's not tomorrow yet then wait a day anyways here's Yannick ring the bells it's a red alert we're all out of jobs homeless even shoeless all because Adobe unleash an AI monster in Photoshop as part of the project Firefly say hello to generative Phil hello there an AI power tool with the magic ability to add extend or erase content from your photos using text prom and it all happens faster than you can say abracadabra recently my socials has been lit up with creators transforming their ordinary photos into extraordinary masterpieces using this tool that got my gears turning instead of trembling for my job and my shoes how can I harness this generative AI tool to elevate my filmmaking game and hey maybe I can even buy some new shoes while I'm at it heads up though you'll only find the AI tool in Photoshop beta and it's still in the baby stages so brace for some limitations one use case popped into my head something every VFX artist must do but often hates creating clean plates back in the day I would use a clone Sam tool in After Effects to delete unwanted objects then came the content aware fill in After Effects which made my job a tad easier although I still needed to paint away my object in Photoshop but here's the game changer General to fill in After Effects I create a mask around the object that I want to remove and then start a Content aware fill process I'll need some reference frames in After Effects so I create them and send them off to photoshop and instead of painstakingly painting with the Clone stem tool like a modern day Van Gogh I simply use a genre to fill AI tool with the Lesser tool I select the masked area and the generative fill pops up like a genie I don't input any prompts and voila it auto magically removes the object can you believe that a clean plate in no time but wait there is more how about set extension before I get started I need some footage unfortunately my town is as dull as a dishwasher enter story blocks our beloved sponsor but their brand spanking new plugin for After Effects and Premiere Pro I have a library of over a million high quality royalty free stock assets at my fingertips no more switching between browser and software or rummaging a rank for that lost clip your workflow will be as smooth as butter let's say I want to whip up a Sci-Fi desert scene I download a desert clip from storyblocks and then let photoshop's AI work its magic the result this Wonder right here with storyblocks is unlimited downloads the possibilities are truly bound and here's a little something I'm absolutely proud about I've got my very own landing page it's bursting at the seams with authentic cinecom footage from travel videos to car crashes mother flashes and other jaw-dropping assets all right for the picking most of them are shot unlock giving you full control when it comes to color grading unlike other stock websites that charge an arm and a like per clip storyblocks give you an unlimited library at a fixed monthly or annual price no hidden fees I've been using storyblocks for years and I can't recommend it enough to create this everywhere so take back creative control with storyblocks's unlimited royalty free stock library and tools today by going to storyblocks.com forward slash cinecom or simply click the first link in description below now let's break down how I created the desert scene I started with a steady Zoom for camera movement I recommend to have a certain amount of movement but nothing too crazy inside After Effects I selected the frame that revealed most of the environment the widest shot I saved it as a Photoshop file and and then the magic started using the Lesser tool I selected a part of the desert and activated the generator fill option this time I added some prompts I wanted a futuristic Dome along the coastline so I told Photoshop to add that now I keep adding stuff like even more domes crashed spaceships maybe a new Cloud you can go as creative as you want next is crucial to fine-tune the generated parts for later post-production if I disable the original clip you'll notice that photoshop has added some sand and other stuff around the new objects I'm going to eliminate that leaving only the objects and their Shadows I do this to avoid any shifting during camera track then I saved Photoshop file and imported back into after effects in the import window I choose composition for import kind then I add the layers to my desert composition and now for the fun part let's do some camera tracking if you are having trouble with tracking check out your in-depth video tutorial about it Link in the description below now my tracking is done I have a 3D camera let's start linking stuff and in order to make everything stay perfect in place we have to go through the same process a couple of times over let's make the shoreline Dome as an example make the layer 3D then with the 3D camera tracking effect selected on the original desert clip I'm going to create a solid layer where the Dome is placed now I copy the transform properties of the solid to the Dome layer this will completely mess up the scale and rotation of the clip but that is something I can adjust manually first I make a duplicate of the Dome layer which isn't 3D and use this as a reference now I match the 3D Dome with a reference dome by using the rotation scale and Anchor Point properties remember you cannot use the position property keep repeating this process for every generated layer make a solid on the exact location copy and paste the solid properties and match the original scale and position lastly I also added the handheld motion effect some heatwaves a lens flare and some deadly field blur to make it all more realistic and voila we've got a spectacular set extension [Music] a way to use using I and I don't need to sell my shoes for food but hang on how about using the generator fill to spice up jordy's face let's try adding some cyberpunk elements that didn't work that's weird let's go for face tattoos Bingo now I can stick these generated tattoos to jordy's real face using absence and make it more pretty than it was hey but remember this tool has its quirks you can generate the same thing twice on different images posing a bit of a challenge for Via vix artists but hey our workflow is getting easier and our jobs are safe [Music] you sure about that anybody interested in buying some shoes or if you're interested in using even more AI Tools in your VFX workflow be sure to check out the video here on my left thanks for watching thank you storyblocks for the support and as always stay creative
