We Searched "Illusion" on the Workshop and Broke Our Eyes - Scrap Mechanic Workshop Hunters

welcome ladies and gentlemen back to scrap mechanic workshop hunters with me and khan and khan do you know what today's theme is you know what i was thinking about this earlier before we recorded and i was like every time we do a workshop hunter's video you always like do the intro and then you ask me to make some like clever witty comment about the theme to make the episode entertaining for the viewers right well you can just say no you could just say you don't know what the theme is and they'll oh okay maybe throw it back in my court uh oh okay i don't know what the theme is what's the theme scrap man even though i looked up the theme's uh hallway obviously we're doing hallways oh we're just gonna walk down the hallways um you should have known this we we we prepared for this episode it's illusion yeah i know amazing right uh so this is by ethan t we're actually starting off with i think the first time in workshop hunters we're doing a challenge mode creation because it was there but this is called endless hallway experiment or something like that and i guess the idea is that this creates some kind of illusion so we just go down the hallway and i guess we just keep go i guess take another left um and we're going to take another left and they should bring yep shouldn't this bring us back to where we the door should be here yeah that maybe it keeps going i mean maybe your connection tool doesn't work hold on maybe it just keeps going that's right none of the tools work maybe maybe now i heard something i heard something i heard something happen i did i did what if we go backwards through oh backwards all backwards what that was the secret we just got to go backwards through the hallway and then it opens up i'm so confused how that wait no no no no that's not true if wait what if we just is it because we did three what if we just okay so we do one lap uh-huh really quickly right and then here's where the door should be yeah so the door's not here now if we go backwards right away does it okay no i didn't see it didn't open up oh maybe maybe there's like a certain number of laps that you do and then it opens up a number of laps okay this is really we only did like two though oh wait i just saw it move oh there it goes it just opened just now okay so yeah there's it's definitely just a bunch of laps that's still pretty cool yes that's pretty neat so let's start off with the illusions we got the endless hallway illusion whoa the endless hallway has led us to a world that we can show things often wow um what an illusion yeah we actually came out of that vent right there that's what's under the landing yeah exactly the hallway this is one by creator vr sam and it's just called illusion with no description and i think i've seen one of these before what oh i know what this is yeah it's like that stick thing but i don't i don't remember what angle you got to look at it to get the i think i don't think it's this i think it's like it's not like a optical illusion it's just kind of like it it's not what you would expect to happen it's like a straight line but it's kind of going through a bend but it's just the way that the rotation works with a straight line you know yes yeah so i don't i don't i remember seeing one of these in real life but i don't know what it was it is it's very satisfying to look at i will give it it's very like you just watch it you're just like it's just like perfectly whoa actually standing right here it does look kind of weird right there yeah for some reason this makes it look weird when the bottom part comes around oh yeah there's gonna be there's gonna be the trip the trippy episode i guess yeah just staring at random pieces of art for a bit and see how they look all right uh what do you got pieces of art i was having i wasn't having the best of luck when i came to searching for illusions for some reason but i'm gonna start off pretty simple with uh illusion board this is by dzcar03 and it says look down and run may hurt some eyes just just uh just a warning okay all right so this is literally just a slab oh it literally just a slab of uh caution blocks so apparently you're just supposed to look down and run oh oh my god oh this is terrible if you run along the lines it's not that bad oh go run in a circle while you're looking down run in a circle run in a circle it is [Music] i know this is gonna be ruined by youtube oh here's a good one too uh look like 45 degrees ahead so you can still see up and then as you're running just move your character back and forth isn't that weird oh my god this whole this whoa this is tripping my eyes out dude this hurts my eyes my eyes are like clean right now especially when you go from oh if you run fast enough it literally just looks like static on a screen it does yeah my eyes don't know what to think of this right now no this is oh okay i'm done this is a terrible idea all right here we go so this is uh oh all right turns out that was all an illusion it never happened after all this whole episode's gonna be an illusion you're gonna finish it and not remember is that how illusions work i feel like yeah that's uh that's how you should disguise this episode as something else entirely yeah yeah it's exactly okay so this one this one's cool and i'm not gonna lie this one is one of those illusions that's like once you see it you'll never unsee it but you're trying to guess what it is oh now i i can see it now and i didn't see it i stared at it for like like 10 minutes and couldn't see it when i finally saw it i realized i was an idiot anyways it's my uh cameron karna karnatore and uh yeah it says post in the comments what this is a picture of but i have not seen this yet you can't unsee it so i i know what it is hold on a second here do you see it do you see what it is yeah i do now i do now i i see it i'm not going to say it right now i do i finally see it yeah you got to let people look at i i yeah it is so obvious once you see it it's so obvious to see it but i stared at it for hours and i couldn't see it and it drove me bonkers yeah literally hours it's taken so long to prepare for this episode but anyway it took a while that's cool no i don't want to give it away people can post in the comments yeah they see it and like if they see it then you know don't don't post what it is just post i just say yeah don't don't give it away to anybody else i better not see a single comment that's giving it away to anybody yeah instant channel band if you all right well now you see it now you don't okay the next one is actually uh this reminds me of some stuff i used to do back in the day this is by sm the wolf and it is called the hallway of illusions so uh this is basically a piston wave room kind of like i made back in the day there you go but how how you can go inside if you want uh or you can try to go inside if you want yeah apparently i can't go inside oh my good okay a hole the crusher blocks makes it so trippy all right let me get inside the inside down at the caution blocks while they're like like rippling towards i'm working on it i'm working on it okay oh man that is so trippy oh it's not as bad without the cost block but like just if you like i'm just standing in one spot and the uh the glass is also kind of trippy the way that the tile glass like intersects with each other whoa i just got launched over to the side yeah i got a lot more farther yeah one it's interesting that they use the different textures on like all the sides but yeah i like the the trippiness of the glass is kind of interesting because of the way that the tiles uh the lines intersect all the roof loops too yeah the whole thing each one is its own designated sliver you having fun in there this is it yeah i am i'm having a vlog i got an idea i got an idea all right yeah i know what your idea is your ideas are stupid no i got an idea i got this hold on no gonna work this is totally gonna work you better you better put it lower yeah i'm gonna put it lower all right here we go there we go no way this part this is gonna work there's no do it do it it's gonna go all the way without exploding until it gets out there it goes there it goes it's going it's going it's going it's going it's going this is another really quick one uh it's called high buy i buy it by username and it's just it's one of these optical illusions oh you know these ones oh i haven't done this particular kind but i have done well you did one like this for like something yeah i've done i i've done one where it looks like nothing from one side and then you have to look at it from a certain angle to look like something this is it looks like it's two different things depending on how you look at it this is more advanced yeah this is cool it's high over here yeah it says hi and then over here it says bye that's cool well done yeah i should make one that says con on one side and gaming on the other that would be really difficult yeah yeah looks cool though i think it's neat i don't know it's again this is like the art episode except not art but i it's a neat illusion oh i was gonna all right no i'm sorry i i thought i was gonna delete it on the list no no no no juvenile why would i i don't know whatever silly person i am i didn't get to do what i wanted to okay fine i've got another one that's going to kind of break the eyes a little bit so another warning this is called illusion 2 by alkaloid so oh god whenever you see like a row of timers and logic gates you just know it's going to be a good idea yeah so this one takes a little bit to get started oh my god don't it get it's gonna it's gonna have more it's gonna look better as it goes it looks like like sheets the brain yeah but what's really really cool about this there was no description but i discovered on my own if you stand on it and then you move to the left it changes how it looks compared to moving to the right moving to the right looks like just randomness moving to the left it looks like you're you're kind of moonwalking a little bit yeah yeah this is also not too easy on the eyes uh like a lot of stuff oh there we go this is actually working better with for me this time i think uh the logic got messed up for me the last time yeah now it looks more like waves yeah it looks way better this time yeah last time it was a little bit more random oh boy yeah there we go yeah and then just going in the other direction it just doesn't really look like much can you sprint walk this oh yeah whatever if you sprint it doesn't really oh then you can you can catch up with it if you're sprinting forward that's interesting yeah yeah and then going backwards it almost looks like they're not moving if you sprint they look like a blurry line like just oh and this is kind of cool just looking at it from here phew surprisingly it's like guitar hero now yeah expert mode dragging forth um so for this one no no no no okay fine i was gonna try to put it sideways so it would actually roll out yeah if you just hit it okay i'm gonna go with some logic base two this is kind of weird it's just called illusion by uh alkaloid and uh uh it's just that that was my alkaloid that was illusion too oh this is that was what mine was the second one i guess this is the first one look at this okay okay and it repeats a pattern you see us repeating a pattern okay but here's the cool thing about this one if you change the timer on the back you change the pattern so like if i go to one second oh now the pattern changes oh oh yep there must be there must be a pattern that can look like more symmetrical okay what if i go to uh five seconds um oh that's not good oh that's satisfying i like that oh that is that is nice to look at though isn't it yeah oh boy oh that's so cool i like this one that's my favorite so far yeah all right what if what if i go like let's go half that like three seconds almost it might get screwed up it's got to get into a cycle first but oh that's neat oh yeah that's cool do two seconds two seconds two seconds okay okay two seconds give it a bit give it a bit because it's gonna be some weird yep oh [Music] what was the original setting i don't know like half a second or something yeah i feel like the longer ones are better here's half a second yeah this is too much chaos all right ready oh wait wait wait wait wait you deleted a hole broken all right i'll fill it in with the spud you gotta fill it i go i got one more i know that you found more than i did but uh this one is actually based off of a real-life physics thing this is by unknown 81311 and this is optical illusion breaking physics don't worry it doesn't mean like breaking physics and scribe mechanic which is like game breaking uh but here i need my paint tool because for some reason it took me a while to figure this out but this switch is the wrong color for this to work but if i just spun this in without doing anything you can see clearly uh it's a little bit yeah it collapses it collapses it doesn't like it doesn't like existing uh but if i paint this white should we should we maybe weld this to the ground given the number of bearings that it has nah we're fine maybe i don't know but if i uh attach the rope here and then i spawn in look at that it stays up does not collapse despite having loose chains on the sides actually let me try something here i'm gonna see these chains these chains here hold on hold on clearly oh there we go there we go okay you made it tighter there we go but but these chains here the bearings aren't the right way so it wouldn't collapse anyway okay let's hold on let me just do we're just gonna do this we're gonna go like this like this you said this is a real life thing yep and as we all know grand mechanic in real life go together like yeah like perfect mirrors puzzle like a puzzle piece you can't even tell where one ends in the other videos yeah it's crazy okay so hold on so if i go like this see now the bearings are in the same direction see it falls over uh just like real life yes like that look at all the pipes illusion it's an illusion look at the illusion there it goes oh yeah hold up look i got it i got it i got i got it look at this wow reconnect the rope okay hold on yeah wait let me um okay almost oh my oh oh oh no no uh this doesn't work it's ground mechanic the way super tight in the rope watch it like work now okay all right be free nuke it's be free it's attached to the same creation so it's not actually gonna oh there it goes something else though right we should have put it on the outside why'd you put it on the inside i don't know i wasn't thinking right well i guess we'll find out when it gets back down i don't think it can it's gonna hit no it's not it can't it's protected it's protected by the defective oh i have two which are kind of the same so i'm gonna show them at the same time this one's my unknown and it's a gyroscope and this was by blue grapes and it's also a gyroscope um and they're both just like illusions but uh okay so this is gyroscopes are just i don't know they're not really illusions they're just kind of cool to look at but so this one this one here is by uh this one's the one by blue grapes and it's just you know off the duck and the duck just it does the thing it's not really an illusion it just looks cool [Music] it did the thing the lining this one here by unknown um i thought it was a little bit more more like kind of illusiony right when you first look at it like boom oh just because the middle doesn't move right isolation that's okay i mean they're just kind of like they're just cool gyros but they're both called illusions which i guess is i don't know it's like this is weird art mm-hmm i like i like this one this one's more satisfying as it lines up really i find this one way more satisfying really i guess that is the subjectiveness of our oh [Music] all right this one's more fun now i like this one better now illusion illusion all right and then i have one more that again i don't really see it but i guess you know you can see it this is um another illusion by murrum9 and uh it says am's wimdo optical illusion so it's uh it's uh i know what this is i've never seen this before either i know what it's supposed to do but i don't it's not seeing it like this time like you know those images were like uh it shows like the ballerinas spinning and like to some people they see it spinning in one direction and the other people they see it spinning in the other i think this is similar to that concept but it's supposed to look like it's tilting back and forth rather than spinning all the way around but because of the lighting effects it gives you too much no lighting effect well there's no lighting effect on the back but i don't i still don't see it there's no like everything's the same color okay hold on back up more back up more i think the further back you go the more likely it is it's still almost oh wait wait let's move it up nice moving up that's moving hold on i see it i think it's faster it's going back and forth now no no you don't have to speed it up you don't speed it up keep it slow keep it straight go back to where i have all right yeah come back all the way to where i am all right all right now i see it it's going back and forth it's not just don't zoom in just stay here it's going back and forth for me i can see it going like left and then right yeah oh yeah i'm seeing it i don't know if i don't know viewers are going to see it but some of you probably will some of you probably won't totally stick like back and forth now instead of like spinning there we go oh yeah now it goes back to the left yeah now it's back to the left and now it's going back to the right yeah i'm seeing it now that's awesome that's so good i couldn't figure it out before like for me the big the bigger side of it is like closer to me and it's just waving in front of my face yeah yeah and the the small front very back yeah yeah that could hurt yeah okay that makes sense so good well that's all i got though that's the end of my illusion there were never any illusions at all that everything was an illusion we're not gonna be able to walk up this are we oh we can't oh oh why did that one explode you ruined it
