We Need Dinosaurs... - ARK Ascended (Ep.3)

so the last few days were pretty rough I've lost every dinosaur that's ever loved me my raft base was swallowed by a whale and everything else I owned was eaten by sharks in the bay but after a period of grinding harvesting resources and rebuilding I'm ready to get back out there today we're off to Herbivore Island since I've proven to everyone including myself that I'm too much of a pansy to handle the main Island right now and Once I arrived I immediately set out to tame some dinosaurs first an anosa surus who will help us by harvesting extra iron from the nodes scattered around this island and secondly a pterodon an agile yet weak flyer that will finally get us up off the ground and open up large portions of the map but it won't stop there we'll also need something to help with berry harvesting so we can work on tranquilizer production and ultimately we'll need a carnivore for protection and make sure you stick around until the end of the episode we're going to review some base site location options and I'm going to need your help to decide on which one to move to hey good morning everyone and welcome back to Ark I'm over here on herbivore Island and check this out well first of all this guy is like looking way cooler than this guy but I did tame up this wild ankasa surus here and it's level 70 and it should be getting an additional 34 levels once it's done and it's almost there it's been taming for quite a while I think the Consciousness should be good on that the torp or however you want to refer to that as and there's a blue drop up here I just picked up a I think it was a yellow drop that was up here and that has some cool stuff in it I got a SCUBA tank although I've never done any scuba diving before so I'm not sure about that we have here is that like literally just a rifle wow a whole bunch of mushrooms there are spear bolts oh my goodness Gilly gauntlets that's pretty cool okay cooked lamb chop ooh I think that's good for taming some animals uh I've been reading up and uh watching some videos and such trying to get better at this game so hopefully I'm in a better position to succeed now uh but part of the issue that we were having was we didn't really have any animals so working on the ankasa surus going to harvest up all the metal over here that's on herbivore Island I'm looking for a high enough level Triceratops I think it's like 26 there's one on the island here somewhere that's 26 I'll try and tame him up at some point but I do have a pterodon over here whoop yeah I already fell off that Cliff once so yeah let's get over here I have the saddle as well in my inventory are you the 26 here you're you're the level 10 well thanks for the ride but moving right along all right our first flying Mount how do I uh how do I get into your name here change name this one since it's the first one we pull from the list and This Is War Master will accept nice and get into the inventory here and um how does this work here pterodon saddle drop that in and we're Airborne except for the fact that uh we are we encumber him when I get on what's my weight right now what's holding me down here uh probably a mixture between these mushrooms spear bolts yeah okay got a lot of heavy stuff all right L Master stay here watch the sunset and I'm going to go grab up the ankal asaurus and we'll all meet up back at the boat probably in the morning I got to do some crafting as well but I don't want to fight the the trike over here in the darkness okay I think it's just about morning yeah the nights are pretty short now so uh in the meantime there while I was waiting I did just make this preserving bin so I think I put spark powder into that and it starts working I did make up some spark powder I am making up some Gunpowder because I found the massively awesome just journeyman long neck rifle I think that's good anyway purple looks good so it makes me think that it's pretty good so yeah drop that into the preserving bin and I think what I wanted to preserve the most was uh were these cooked lamb chops that I found because I think you can use those for taming and it's better than prime meat maybe at least for some animals I also could put the battle tartar in there I don't know if I'm saying that right probably not I'll get corrected I'm sure but uh what else here looks important rare mushrooms sound rare so I'll drop those in there and the ammonia bile I I think that was in one of the drops too let me just drop all this in here just because it sounds important to me and I'll figure out its function at a later time I did make up a crossbow as well and I'm working on no I don't think I did have enough no I need right we need to get the trike so we can get Nar berries so that I can make more narcotic it's it's always this huge chain of things to do I got 47 metal I could go into the metal tools and I will I I know I'm way behind on that but um I wanted to just make ammo first let's try that okay what is it is it crafting just in like chunks of one so it's two metal for one bullet or oh oh no it's one metal per bullet that was two bullets there okay just make all of these I'm about to get a whole bunch more iron anyway off the sil oh that was it right there oh that uses a ton of gunpowder that's why well okay that'll be this will be crank it on gunpowder for a little while at least in the meantime now that we have the light let's do some iron harvesting all right JM did an outstanding job there we have like 1,500 iron or something like that so um I'm going to have to get another four or two or three or four or six or something like that to to get all that smelted oh J you going to fall down there buddy I hope you don't die in the process so uh there is I found the level 28 it was just here where'd it go the level 28 trike did it walk over here it did okay and I think can I see your level 28 yes and a 28 male juvenile here so we could get two of these guys for the price of one male and a female then we could breed them together I think oh that'd be funny so um I'm going to try and tame this let's get the Tran arrows in I got 20 are the Tran arrows in right now Stone Arrow Tran Arrow I thought they would look Greener but I guess they are green okay let's do this he's actually a pretty color too or she um H well jmac might have to do a little bit of tanking for me I think he can handle it and then we'll have to pick some berries get some berries for them but yeah let's try this out hopefully I don't get killed if I do you know the raft is right over there we'll be fine all right let's hit it okay see how many of these it's going to take probably a lot maybe oh yep jmax up there jmax tanking jmax going to probably kill him cuz he's such high level waa okay family members have come by um yep J killed them all right I guess we'll try this guy instead oh my God I'm getting attacked from like all directions now oh there we go a that was a mistake all right well I suppose let's give that another try jmax still up there working his way over here that's fine I'm mostly just upset about the expediture of arrows for no reason I guess we can't use jmac as a tank he'll he'll just do too much damage oh wait are you wait imprint yes yes yes I want to do that yes okay uh next name on the list Godzilla Rico I love that name per perfect and um level 42 now and wow maturing very quickly are you going to be hungry all right jmax on his way over let's go get our stuff oh no jmax still fighting okay okay hold up here um I think J can handle that I I can't do much I can't be a much assistance right now we're going to end up killing every Triceratop on this this island all right quickly quickly give me that and let's go help out how'd you do buddy excellent job man jx's a killer I love it and Godzilla is growing fast is this another baby I can have um female level 18 I guess I'll have it this one's name is going to be tang and we get some free hide to boot and keratin and meat wow what a win we are on a roll today I don't know if I need two Triceratops though okay that's the last of the meat jmax should be following are you following you are super encumbered aren't you I think cuz he probably yeah he picked up some stuff in like the collateral damage here here get rid of all that stuff I'll we'll keep the um the Flint we'll turn that into spark powder all right everybody come with me all right I just crafted up a Triceratops saddle let's load up the rifle just in case you know a I should probably doesn't this take um yeah like tran tran darts or something like that I have to look into that probably okay trike Saddles done I'm going to go with Godzilla Rico you're the higher level anyway all right drop that on there and yes there we go oh I can shoot from up here too oh my God look at the berries yes I'm going to go on a berry rampage that lasted all of two seconds before I got encumbered oh boy it's always such a process wow look at the berries though oh my God okay I don't need any of these actually just draw all I need are narcoberries right now I'll save some meab berries too but yeah that's it okay get rid of the rest of that stuff and um yeah I'd say probably like six full Stacks will do us over for a good long while yep we can craft 100 okay so that shortage is now fixed we can get all kinds of Tran arrows and uh what about those Tran darts I think that's a different workstation that's like in the is it the Machining bench or the fabricator bench or something so we're kind of screwed on that one okay we still got to work on getting the iron rolling though there we go that's the trick okay well now I'm stuck on the rudder I I suppose that'll do if you could just hang on people tie you down to the fence or something okay we're sitting on almost 2,000 metal which will convert to 1,000 metal ingots so that is an excellent start we'll have all kinds of gunpowder with which to make bullets and I think we can do some more spark powder here and then we'll just be waiting on charcoal to continue with gunpowder okay I got a sense for what we're doing and where we're going how about some more of that rifle ammo 17 more please and I did so I was looking at the loot that we got out of the drops earlier I've gotten a few drops over the past couple of days I got like a trip wire alarm and a tree sap tap I also had a whole bunch of stone pipes but I threw them away cuz they were heavy uh so we've got the spear bolts I'm going to have to look up what that does I don't know off hand I've got this megaloceros saddle I don't know what that is we have a carbonis sell oh jeez I got to get into the wiki hang on okay I've returned the megaloceros is like a moose thing and the carbon nemis is the turtle thing so I'm I'm not going to tame either of those I don't think but I'll hang on to the Saddles I guess okay so if I leave these guys here are they just going to starve to death and die or should I get them some uh some berries or something to eat yeah he doesn't this guy doesn't have any berries here let's get some mea berries I like to have some met berries on me for taming Purp es and drop some into this guy actually Tang I don't quite know that we need you so if you starve to death this will you'll you'll just be my little experiment to see um how I go about feeding animals cuz honestly I have no idea here put some me berries into this guy he's definitely someone I got to keep a hold of we got to get an argentavis too so I can bring him to the mountains for uh metal harvesting and Crystal harvesting and oh my goodness that reminds me I need to make a short trip to go get some Crystal yep right over here just drop it down anywhere try not to die over here although I don't think it's particularly dangerous and yep there's the cave entrance I just have to poke in here and get some crystal that's all I'm here for here uh I learned that there's a thing I can do here put on Belt put the torch on the belt and then I can still carry my stuff okay yep whoops loading in some stuff there so this is what I need uh whoops can I have it yeah there we go wait that's Stone oh there's some Crystal it's a mixture I even got a rare mushroom off of it okay definitely there are like bats and stuff down here though so yeah I don't want to go too deep let's just get a little bit more and then I'll leave okay I got a little bit I broke my pickaxe that's fine let's get out of here all right I'm going to try and park this guy on the raft cuz I need to get the raft out of here and I need to bring him with me obviously so how's about that okay okay the rest of you live here temporarily until I get the permanent sort of habitation thing figured out all right and all of that was specifically so that I can craft myself a spy glass so now I should be able to ID dinosaurs at a distance does it work yeah there you go nice all right we're on a roll but it doesn't stop there we need to get some iron out of there or or metal and uh drop it in here so that we can make some better tools there we go metal pick we'll get a a metal Pike a I don't think we need the um the sickle and a metal Hatchet could also do the metal sword but not yet a little bit short on metal okay the forges are rolling the inventory is clear everything is crafting I'm making some trank arrows I think it's time that we ditch this island herbivore Island very nice place good good place to kind of reset recharge you know do all the crafting you need to to do get some resources a great little beginner spot but I need to get some self-defense out here somewhere I am off to see if I can find a carnivorous dinosaur oh my God I'm I'm definitely like 80% sure that that was another leads oh jeez do you see it down there just in the water NOP that's a Megalodon there was there's is it is it right there oh my goodness yes it's still here okay yeah let's just spin this around get into the shallow water here I thought I turned those guys off um but I did not apparently whoops okay okay so uh don't take any chances out there in the deep water I'm not going to go back into the files I thought I was being slick there trying to turn off a dinosaur that I didn't want to see anymore I was frustrated anyway so um no we we'll deal with it no no worries no big deal just uh we learned our lesson for going out in the deep water No More Night nice sweeping camera shots out through the deep ocean we are sticking to the shallows all the same anyway I like to kind of watch the dinosaurs on the beach and see what I can find and I got the spy glass now so I can actually Scout them out and see if there something I would like to tame okay who is that a Saro oh man it's just one thing after the other yeah cuz we're heading into like the jungle area that's not exactly the kind of carnivore I was looking for so bring her about okay I think we're in the clear over here I'm just going to kind of par maret on the beach here for a while and we will head out in the air here we go going to get the hang of the flying thing anyway so from here can I oh yes okay good I can still use weapons and such from up here I don't know about weapons but I can at least use this just have to be kind of careful with the stamina thing too you don't want to put this down in the middle of the swamp and have to rest there all right first little rest spot up whoop whoop whoop nope I ran out of stamina a little bit early we're heading down okay just be very careful while we're down here regen the stamina I was trying to get on top of this little rock face here so I can kind of see what's going on there we go I was kind of hoping I could scout out some Living Spaces here cuz you want I guess you want good access to resources so in other words close to mountains like over there but also close to water close to animals I don't know we do a flyby of this place over here I I don't know what this is I think this is um this is how you ascend this is where you take all your dinosaurs to go fight the the end boss or something to that effect I think what we could do while we're out and about is grab a couple of drops there's one kind of insight straight over there just kind of keep an eye out for some good dinosaurs that might be down below in the river oh I can see a spino down there as well as some others how's my stamina it's bad we got to rest here somewhere okay whoop we got a raptor right there let's just set it down while he's distracted with the fat dinosaurs over there and uh pull out my whatever you call this okay Iguanodon could get one of those what level was that level 10 I don't know about that okay I think we're good here let's get up in the air again and I want to have a look at what's going on over here okay Allosaurus and three of them in fact and the spino level seven in behind I don't know that it's worth risking everything for a level seven so I will skip over that one but yeah I might just dip over here real fast can get this green drop I think it's just over here yeah it's relatively close there it is in the swamp whoop whoop who whoop whoop okay I see oh it's a frog it's a frog should be okay here let's try and put it down right here and um hopefully I don't go flying too far when I jump off here oh there we go not bad and grab grab grab okay I'll go through that in a little bit doesn't look like oh my God crystal that's a lot of crystal that's pretty good I guess can you fly still you cannot fly now no no no kill kill kill kill kill I think I'm winning I need to ditch stuff out of the inventory here um oh come on man why do you have to suck so bad ah he's dead L Master will oh no I don't know what happened here um jeez will are you okay ah I don't know what's happening right now what's happening is I'm definitely going to die okay I guess ditch um can we just split this oh my God no no no crap bionx level 36 ah man here we go again why does this always happen to me you know what I'm going to just um pull the boat up into that River there oh jeez that River was like full of spinos too okay I'll do the best I can okay I made it around and what did I say spino right Dead Ahead so oh jeez I'm going to have to go on foot for over a click down down this river is this the only way yeah it's kind of the only way oh jeez and I don't I think L Master will must have died I have no idea for sure but I would imagine bring her about then this is my only respawn point right now what I could do is um I could bring a I have some thatch foundations and I have a simple bed so I could just make like a little respawn shelter out in the forest somewhere I'm totally going to it's just going to be a death loop I can sense it this is terrible why did I do that man I grabbed the drop okay so no more drops if I'm on a pterodon and weight's an issue I should have just dropped the Crystal and run I she I got greedy that's what it was got greedy and I'm paying the price for it every lesson man every lesson has to be learned the hard way for me okay the good news is once I got past that spino there things are pretty quiet over here we do have some Raptors over on that side there are also Terror Birds over there so steer clear of that Beach over that way look at that place that would be a pretty cool place for a base I might try to scout out on top of that lots of animals around here yeah I kind of I want to do a Cliffside base so that's kind of a candidate the other candidate base location I've been kind of thinking about is the um it's like a it's like a like a I don't know it looks like a Caldera it's like a circular rock formation with water in it a big Lagoon I think there's some cool Base building spots that are over there it's kind of well if I I look at the map I think it it'll pull right up yeah sort of in the bottom there I'll kind of zoom into it that that little area down there could be a good place for a base as well all right we're more than halfway there Raptors on the other side of the river here ah there's that other spino is that the other is that a new spino I don't remember him being that kind of a color oh there's another one in behind that's the one I saw before okay so jeez there's two I can't go across that way there are raptors there's a T-Rex a blue T-Rex over there oh jeez yeah there's the Raptor got to take some chance okay this is where I'm going to set up my little base then okay how about just um Foundation there and bed on top and okay that's that's you know something there I can respawn there little checkpoint okay I'm going to go across this way I'm going to take my chances against the T-Rex versus uh going through the forest okay okay okay things are getting real tense around here now and probably what I should have just done was find another Pteranodon and tame that oh jeez okay I got to zoom out so I can see out of the grass where did the T-Rex go big blue boy I might actually look into that into C oh jeez there he is right there okay going this way might look into taming him honestly I don't know how to tame I've never tamed T-Rex before but um if I had to do it you know being up here probably would be a good start starting point all right we got bigger things to worry about right now though like getting all my stuff back we can't tame them until I get my stuff but I'm like I'm like level 80 something and I'm killing it on the levels I don't know if I had a different kind of weird setting there's a a Carno over there as well I can see see his little horns okay we're pretty close but yeah I can craft pretty much all of the good Saddles now I think I can craft a T-Rex saddle I I just started on default settings I didn't change the XP setting at all so I guess you just level up fast okay we're less than 200 M away I think it's just over this mountain back down into the swamp and we're there kind of par ethereum here is that how you say his name okay there's my stuff at the bottom of this W oh boy he's an aggressive one at the bottom of this Cliff here okay the only way I can really see to get down there from here is to go that way which puts me close to the bionyx that's right there that'll be fun should have probably pulled my rifle out when I was down there I'm not not accustomed to having it so it wasn't my reflex to to grab it bit oh oh go no no no no oh crap here we go well if I can kill this guy and get some hide I can probably at that point make myself a bed maybe need 40 hide for a bed I think this will do it nice okay got some prime meat as well well I'll take whatever I can get off of him got to get some thatch and all that now okay that should do it let's get a bed crafted and I'll put it right on top of this thing right here good checkpoint okay I'm getting the hang of this now aren't I I think anyway okay we got a lot of trouble though between us and our stuff yep there's that bionx I wish I could see his level I don't think I can take him with melee all right I've had some close encounters with the bionic so far and he is off in that direction somewhere I'm going to use this opportunity then I'm going to try it I'm going to just make a run for it around the side here and hopefully that will do it yeah I don't see him I just got to do a a an 100 yard dash 90 yard dash through the swamp to get to my stuff it's never going to work is it it's impossible I'm going to have to get a flyer and drop down in here oh crap I made it I made it I made it get my stuff and transfer and crap um get rid of that and give me that rifle wear some armor okay that will have to do it okay get the rifle out okay okay okay wow we made it back he's right there okay um actually if I get the bowl out it usually tells me if it's going to work on that nope it's not going to work on him well what level is he anyway is it going to be worth my time 36 I know that's not great but I've got nothing right now if he kills me I'm going to respawn right over there I think it's potentially worth a try let's try it I am committed now I think he's stuck actually cuz he's been kind of like right there for a while while and oh did was that is he down was that it I can hear him snoring oh nice nice nice okay so good and what do we do about prime meat there was prime meat on the snake I think that has degraded at this point okay whatever you have prime meat on you there we go give me some prime meat baby yeah that's what I'm talking about just slather myself in dinosaur blood and Barry Onyx here we go get some prime meat into him I don't know how much I need that should do it probably and I hope this is working there's no possible way he's like an herbivore is it is there can I just put some berries in there no doesn't make any difference is he um is he a fish eater is that what's the problem is here do I need to get raw fish Prime fish beat or something I can do that I think I could try it I mean he's not taming so obviously I'm doing something wrong I could didn't I have cooked fish meat I wonder if that would work let's try that okay fish meat and take all the prime meat back turn that into spoiled meat he is eating that oh now he's taming rapidly I think I'm going to have to go get some fish anyway because he's eating all of it there's only one left so oh jeez I don't think I can get fish out of the swamp crap I will have to go back toward the river then I think the easiest way is to just go straight over this little Ridge all right I'm safely down to the the water here and no sign of apex predators nearby oh jeez I think I'm losing taming Effectiveness excuse me on the bionic there the the yellow thing is going down rapidly so I'm going to have to get a whole bunch of fish and try to do it all in one go 96 fish meat that will have to do it suppose what I could do I mean I couldn't I just tame him and then and then leave and then come back for him and that way he'll tame up while I'm gone and by the time I get back uh we should be good to go with the saddle it'll be Nightfall for sure though by then okay here we go actually the last time I put fish in his inventory he like almost immediately tamed this might be a really fast tame here yeah it is see he just like Jets right up to 50% and then okay so while he's at 50% I'm heading back we've run the gauntlet twice successfully only two more times to go bar on except coming up let's dump the inventory while we're here too are you hello can you not please what are you doing all right fine I'm leaving are we doing this again man I I can't stand it I got to kill this guy I don't I don't think he can hurt me up here on the raft at least that's what I'm kind of banking on he's hitting something what are you hitting stop it there we go did that do it I think that did it yep the uh the the Barry on is tamed I've got the saddle we just got to make it back in one piece the current state of things is far worse than it was when we left there is a T-Rex on the other side of the river and on the other side of that River there's an alpha Raptor I guess I'll have to take my chances going this way Alpha Raptor right there level 10 move move move there another Raptor up ahead there we might have to cross back over take our chances on the T-Rex side he's eating a turtle I think we're safe for now spino down below we are heading up on the ridge line though should be safe Yes we made it we did it okay you're probably still trapped in there that's fine we'll get to that in just a second just get the inventory open get the saddle on you and okay so now we just have to make it back in one piece we do have some levels to do here three of them we will go with wait wait's the most important thing it seems like wait and then kill kill things and hopefully level up oh man this feels good way stronger than a Raptor good in the water what about those guys chal chalum chalico I think those guys are good for something but let me know what they're good for I have no idea oh should we should we try and kill it I don't want to try and kill it I think those things are dangerous oh look at the T-Rexes down there holy crap level 23 on that one and 46 on the blue one over there that has to be my goal to get a T-Rex uh cuz then we can just storm up and down this beach and not worry about a thing really we got a good enough level at least okay we do have an alpha Raptor up ahead here that guy is think I think that's the level 10 one yeah level 10 female I don't those guys are really strong aren't they I don't know how to tell if that's like too strong or not that's 2,000 hit points right there it's a good start I guess I could run if I had to okay yeah oh they worked we got him we got him nice good eat him up oh 28 prime meat what a score that gave him some levels 15 levels nice okay let's go let's just do a mix of everything then nice yeah this guy's awesome another pack of raptors let's take him out oh this thing just murders Raptors spino up ahead I'm not going to try the spino though I'll try this other bionic this yellow one I think he's like a level seven or something should be fine here too easy yeah that spino is the king of the beach here though I don't I don't know if I could take it level 18 yeah too [Applause] risky oh no no no why does this happen he just dove in the water for no reason come on get back here get back here come here come here oh jeez he's literally deep sea diving for sharks why he's way down there he's not even on follow oh he's on just like attack everything mode isn't he come here buddy come here come here come here let me on him let me on him I'm on him frig okay that means my stuff is at the bottom of this Lake here luckily it's right underneath me oh no he's dead he's dead and the sharks are still here oh my God why does this keep happening yeah there's just 1 2 3 four at least four sharks if not five I wonder if this is my stuff right here grab grab grab that's not that's like a bone well I like I have to give it a try I have to try and get my stuff back no no crap I could put the scuba gear on that I had oh that might not be a terrible idea it probably is cuz I'll probably lose it forever but um yeah why not I got to give it a try oh I don't have like the mask or anything do I or do I I don't really know how this works oh I'm I'm making like rebreather Sounds here we go and give me that whoop whoop yep and what what else do I have here nothing really give me that all right hey I made it all right I'm going to get organized and I'm going to go get myself a damn T-Rex that's the only consolation prize for today I think this was the problem he the bionic had killed so many things that he was encumbered look at all the meat that I just pulled out of that bag there I don't even know that wasn't even my gear bag that was that was his gear bag that's why I had so many meat cuz I don't have my tools still I did get the bionic saddle back that's handy okay I'm completely naked I'm going back in to look for my bag this was my death SP oh there it is right there isn't it I don't I don't think the sharks are here anymore there's my stuff oh yep there's definitely a shark here to the surface ah okay and up onto the raft I made it wow okay crisis averted we just lost our tame we're back to square one I can't hold a tame around here God help the next creature that I end up taming cuz its life expectancy drops dramatically when that occurs all right I think this little sandb bar here is specifically there to prevent me from riding my raft up there so I guess I'm just parking it here where I've been all along and hope that that spino over there doesn't aggro onto me and I'm going to get the inventory squared away for a T-Rex trapping Adventure all right I'm ready I got my trap materials ready and there's a thosa over here but the blue T-Rex I think was the good one and I can see him straight ahead right there he is level 46 female I'm coming for you we're going to need some prime meat after that I'm sure I can find a baby here on the beach somewhere probably going to take a lot of prime meat though is that a baby right there oh we might be one step ahead of okay just remember that he's next to the theur I'll come and get him later okay where's my Rex right there okay uh there's been a lot of rexes around here there are uh allosauruses over there level 46 too not too bad bad this is where I'm going to build the Trap though so uh foundation for now I have no idea I've never built a T-Rex trap before um I'm just going to it's not even going to be a trap it's just going to be a tower and I just got I just have to make it tall enough so that uh a dinosaur a T-Rex specifically can't um can't kill me on top of it so we're just going to make like a little spiral ladder case up here I don't know if there's a structural stability here or not I'm hoping not okay there he is I think he could probably still reach me from there though let's go one more up okay oh this is looking promising up here can I should I go one more doing it why not oo right behind me right behind me I don't know if they can um destroy stone structures or not this is the ultimate test I guess here take that oh I just fell off my tower cuz I was trying to get a prime meat cuz I put fish meat I put regular meat in and it's going backwards so spino there he kind of looks wounded I'm not exactly sure he's trying to fight a bird right now um might try and oh God he's so fast oh perfect he's right over here next to the tower though I can just get up in that Tower might be able to take him out out he might have prime meat I did get the cooked mutton that I had preserved and that might be something I can tame him with honestly I have no idea oh but he definitely was hurting and now he's not oh my goodness that did a number on him didn't it wow took him out with two shots guess he wasn't that strong oh we could try and kill whoever's over there I guess it's a Rex over there try and kill him he might have some FR meat all right between the two of them I think we should be good all right spino what do you have for me a little bit of prime meat okay it's good oh T-Rex is tamed hey we got him well make sure I harvest this guy up so I have some good snacks for him want to make a good first impression you know oh this is a ton of prime meat oh I should have been killing those guys all along okay level 68 and a nice cool cotton candy blue color I love it all right access inventory and yeah go ahead and have that prime meat there can have all that you can have all the regular meat as well I don't need it for anything right now and a saddle on top we've got him yes ooh Rex Rider yes I've got the best dinosaur well I mean I've got a pretty good dinosaur now I am super hungry hey Rexy buddy um fine give me some of that meat back got go do some cooking some berries will hold me over I guess oh I can eat the um the cooked lamb chops I had why not celebrate okay there should be some yeah yeah there's some things I can do here with the T-Rex I think that's some sort of um it it puts a debuff on opponents I can't remember what it is if it decreases attack speed or something did we have any levels to spend two we will go weights looking okay for now we'll go melee damage then all right I tried doing it with the bionics and it failed but now it is time to level this guy up a little bit I've got I've got some aggression I've got to take out on these dinosaurs nice took him out and check this out man we've got a baby T-Rex here which I can imprint on and immediately raise into a full grown t-rexx right yes imprint nice okay cancel we're going to do that when I'm not underwater there we go right we got to do names now I forgot to do it on the the bionx there so okay give me ah help something's hurting me oh my God yeah if you could let me up on here please thank you name for this one is going to be Dawn s oh boy why does this always happen all right we also need a name for this guy it's going to going to be fub barley oh crap one of those is an alpha I didn't realize that didn't matter did it oh but Fubar did take a little bit of damage there and I'm I think I'm bleeding I'm good now more and more I'm thinking to just build my base up on this Ridge here kind of like I was thinking about before let's head up there and see what the view is like that way everything's pretty close by it just cuts down on the travel time I was going to go to that that nice fancy beach side out there I thing but I think this will do okay and we can always build two bases if we need to pretty sure Fubar is full grown now at level 19 I'll get a saddle made up oh who's this guy that's funny I keep killing these like um carnivorous dinosaurs and pulling out like I've got like boots and pistols and pickaxes and all kinds of random gear that I'm pulling out a meat Jerky recipe yeah seeing that guy right there kind of makes me think this is not the best place to build a base although I don't know if you can probably find a base that's completely safe from carnivores plus we'll have we'll have support with us all the time in the form of T-Rexes I think that we finally got what we were looking for with Don SE here my Champion all right my friends that'll have to do it for this one I will catch you hopefully in the next episode hey one more thing before I sign off guys I'd like to get a little bit of feedback so go down in the comments section and let me know what your vote is we're going to decide together on where the base location should be option number one is where we signed off at which is this little rock formation right here overlooking the river where this episode took place the advantage is that it's close to the ocean and so we can use the raft often but we can't bring the raft up into this River it doesn't seem to be too far away from this little mountain over here which does have some iron on it and it's relatively close to Herbivore Island as well in case we want to go back there to get some resources and as we saw earlier this place is just teaming with Wildlife down here but if we move straight down this River over here there's the other location that I mentioned during the episode and that is this area over here one candidate for a base location would be this Ridge over here which would be overlooking this water over here very pretty we can watch the sunrise so it seems like raft access will be a lot better over at this base and if we look at this Coastline right here this might be a good place to park a whole bunch of dinosaurs doesn't seem to be any further away from the resources than the other base with the nearest Mountain being just over there and geographically speaking they're both on the southern end of the island so we'd have quite a ways to go to the volcano and the snow region to the north so again just check the pinned comment below and leave your vote on where we should throw our Roots down and set up a permanent base location and
