We Bought The 'Amazing Amanda' Animatronic Doll

[Music] thank you hey guys welcome back to Vlogs I am actually sitting on our bed I feel like I never open up the Vlog in our bedroom which is so weird but I'm sitting in bed because I'm kind of freaked out you guys know I like reading and currently this book that I'm reading is freaking me out so much so I was gifted this book for Christmas from my brother-in-law's girlfriend I don't think she's ever been on the Vlog so I won't mention her name just in case she doesn't want it but I love when people gift me books that they think that I'm going to like and she definitely nailed the head nailed nailed the thing on the head Ty what's the saying when you nail something on the head is that the she nailed it I guess I'll say she knows that I like horror books so she got me this it's kind of like a mystery thriller horror you know when you're saying like you nailed it on the head nailed the coffin on the head nailed the what's the saying you don't know the same well say it to me sometimes it just to let you sit here to figure it out she nailed final nail in the coffin no no that's not what I meant like what I'm saying is I'm impressed by something that she nailed she nailed it or she hit the nail on the head that's what I meant yes yes she hit the nail on the head this is such a should I restart I didn't mean for this to be going on for so long anyway she chose a good book Because when something affects me so much it means that you did good this book and don't mind my acotar bookmark on there I use this bookmark everywhere this book is about lucid dreaming but it also correlates with a crime that happens in the town and it is the creepiest thing ever so like lucid dreaming is when you're able to be aware that you're dreaming and like control your dreams but oh my goodness it's so creepy actually sleeping after reading this I'm only like I'm not even halfway through and it's freaking me out so much so guys if you want to be scared read the Shadows not sponsored this is by Alex North and yeah as you can see it's about a group of boys right here who all try and lucid dream at the same time and try to appear in each other's dreams and they have these dream journals and every single night they wrote about what they dreamed and eventually they all end up in each other's dreams together and there's this entity that follows them that has red hands as you can see there's like a red hand I don't know it's so hard to explain but I am freaked out stuff just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying this book okay thanks and by the way speaking of Christmas I was gifted this shirt that I'm wearing by uh Beth my mother-in-law my Alberta mom super cute super comfortable all the gifts are around me today okay so today we received our Amazing Amanda doll from eBay super nervous about this one because talking dolls really creep me out so in case you have not seen my main Channel video which I posted I think maybe two weeks ago I'm just gonna briefly say all the creepy things that happened with this doll these were around in 2005. so I would have been in grade five so I think I would have been too old to have one of these dolls the reason it's so creepy is because people found it really hard to turn off this doll and she's also very demanding she has this sensor built into her so she will know if you're not doing the things that she asks of you so if she asks you for a hug and you don't give her one she will actually start to get upset with you and the other creepy thing is that when you first get this doll she bonds with the first person she hugs and speaks to and calls that person their mommy and she recognizes that person's voice so if you like get a pre-owned doll or if you played with another kid's amazing Amanda doll she would say you're not my mommy give me my mommy like she would know and it really creeped people out like how intelligent this doll was and apparently was one of the most intelligent animatronics of its time so I'm really creeped out we got the doll we have to put batteries in it came in like a giant Amazon box so I'm gonna unbox it first and then thankfully we still have these like giant C batteries from what was the one the writing Susie scribbles she took the batteries out because I did not want there to be a chance of her scribbling in the basement scribbling in the basement or going off in the basement without yes yeah we did not want that so I'm gonna pass the camera to Ty so you can see me properly unbox her so the listing did say that the doll works it's just that they didn't put batteries with it take her up by your neck gotta say I'm starting to really love this eBay packaging that we get now like what's the what's the reason that's what I want to know why do they put her in a garbage bag all right this is actually a lot larger than I thought it was gonna be it's like my size it's taken massive batteries so you'd figure that it has to be a decent size you know what she's actually surprisingly in really good condition like I'm impressed by how well they've kept her this is amazing Amanda we're gonna turn her on and we're gonna see if she says to me you're not my mommy and we're gonna see if she makes demands just like she's supposed to fill her up give her some energy I don't really want to okay your skin no feel her skin I don't want to it feels real yeah that's concerning let's put batteries in there there's like barely any room to get these batteries in just gonna come to life it is set to off right now so if it does I'm gonna jump all right turn it on gotta you know put it back together yeah we're back together uh I just don't want any short circuits or anything to happen in an uncontained area foreign Amanda what are you supposed to do with this like I don't know but her eyes closed hey Amanda Amanda hey girl you okay that's so scary oh my gosh it's so weird the camera as it's focusing on her it says infant do you see that yeah it does that's so weird it like knows she's an infant okay so what do I do hey Amanda she's like sticky Amanda we might need to pause so as we figure this out performing amateur surgery right now we might have bad news I don't know if this doll actually works which is frustrating because the eBay listing says that she still does basically her eyes closed as you guys saw and whenever Ty like switches around the batteries her mouth opens and closes which is pretty creepy but like she hasn't opened her eyes again and she's not talking and we did find something pretty creepy Ty was looking at the back of her and there is actually a little it looks like a chip of some kind some sort of chips I don't know if they're like tracking children or what's going on I don't understand what the purpose of it would be but it's not connected to anything so it could be some form of detecting device maybe that doesn't need a lot of power that could be the hugging thing maybe there's like a proximity sensor on the inside of this that detects when you're squeezing it that could very well be what it is but uh yeah like as you can see yeah it's like opening clothing which is creepy see this isn't a very amazing Amanda right now he's not being very amazing how old is this though 2005 so we've had older that works better we have we have had older that's worked better not very amazing I will admit part of me is relieved to be completely honest I almost want to keep it on and leave her on the table and today if we hear her talk no for real why wouldn't we try that because then we gave it power it's going to get up and like get us when we're not paying attention you're just gonna hear just it doesn't have like the porcelain feed that our dolls have so it's it's not gonna yeah it's just like rubber on the table it's pretty sneaky okay so I think the way to make this more interesting is that we keep the doll on and by the next Vlog if anything happened we'll let you guys know because the other creepy thing about this doll is that it just talks randomly when no one's using it so I think we should try that and then we'll have to report back to you guys and that way we're not just like leaving you hanging like all the doll doesn't work too bad like we're actually gonna see if something happens so we'll keep you posted sorry that it didn't do what we thought it was gonna do but as you guys know watching this channel you try things sometimes I don't work and that's the whole like fun of it because you never know when something's gonna be creepy or when something's gonna work
