We Bought a Fire Damage Motor Home RV From Copart For A Good Deal

[Music] [Applause] alright guys welcome back to the channel I'm Ivan and I'm Mike and today we got some we got a new build and we're super excited about it as you guys saw in the thumbnail it's an RV a Motorhome yeah it's huge definitely huge that means semi-truck you bigger this on that truck this is definitely biggest build yeah it's definitely longer I don't see me taller but we've never done an RV we've done campers before back in the day things like that we always wanted to get an RV yeah this thing is epic for sure he's bigger than the Train the big in the semi truck it's like put to get it definitely got around so and it's got fire damage and the pictures we can't see the fire damage that's a big risk but we're gonna gamble a little bit you can you know risk it for the biscuit kind of thing so let's try it let's see what happens unfortunately it's really far away it's all the way like Kansas City which is like almost a thousand miles from us Dave and I don't want to tow it back so we're gonna try to drive it back yeah it's an adventure for sure so yeah for sure so stay tuned and let's uh let's look at it so pretty much stuff it says it's listed as burn damage fire damage and it's not running to drive and there's no mileage nothing like that so let's look around the pictures to see if we can find it of course the front end looks good so there's a generator right here so I don't think the generator caught on fire there's no visible damage whatsoever it was towed in and you can see sitting on blocks so it wasn't driven in but I still did not see any fire damage whatsoever so there's a little exhaust for the generator then we go to the back so the back had a big engine in the back you should be a caterpillar and also I'm not see any fire damage whatsoever on either sides then we got a kitchen so those look like the kitchen caught on fire nothing like that interior looks pretty clean no damages right here and then that's the only picture so yeah so we do see a little bit of ash right here looks like maybe from a fire extinguisher some maybe there is fire damage on the front but everything else looks really good so after we won this we actually called Copart and I asked him if you know since it was towed in did the tow truck drivers you know put the rear differential or the driveshaft back in there if not we had to get by one and they sent us a picture of it and it was missing so we didn't have to go find a new drive shaft and also they actually sent us a picture of the fire damage and the fire damage was right by the gas pedal after looking at it I don't think it's that bad I do think it's worth driving over there and trying to start it I should have batteries in the back somewhere on this side or this side and we could check out the fire damage and hopefully with the new driveshaft we could put it in and just drive it home so that's the plan it does look like it's gonna be a 16-hour drive all the way to Kansas City but no biggie we'll just do an all-nighter we'll get there in the morning I'm trying to mess with it if they let us and hopefully drive it home if not we're just gonna go home empty-handed but uh let's hit the road [Music] [Music] alright guys so we made it to qohor in the morning we went and pretty much we're gonna go look at it first to check the drive shaft and battery so we get it running we talked to the management and they're gonna let us do it they're gonna let us put the drive shaft in and try to drive it out so we're gonna try to mess with the batteries so let's let's get to it alright guys so we got the batteries out yeah drop boxes in there and get those other batteries that's connected for now because they're all low voltage alright we got erotic try to drive it alright guys so we got the jump boxes in there but we're gonna take those out we got the batteries from home we'll put those bad boys in and they should be good to go and then it start it and then we got Ivan fixing the drive shaft nice and easy we're not in the mud anymore so get this running and we're off to go and then we'll hook up a tow vehicle or we're good to go [Music] [Music] [Music] hi guys check it out we got an expedition so that's fire damage and then the pictures you couldn't see it so we risked it and got over here so looks like somebody had a house water it rubbed on something and the kind of fire but they put it out because you can see the ash didn't really get that high we clean it up a little bit to make sure there's I mean any more issues and when you get it home so we're gonna check the lights on it everything like that but it's it's pretty sick but we're gonna try to get to get go to the gas station check the tire pressure check everything else on it and head home cuz we got a long drive alright guys we're here at this tire shop which we're having probably this tire valve stems getting this issue so probably all replaced they're all gonna do but definitely fix it pull up there oh no no it's coming along ladies for our thousand mile road trip start driving we got the tires fixed we've checked everything on it so far so good and then the car we came on we hooked it up so we're gonna tow it back it's pretty sweet about that little attachment so we'll tow it out back we'll drive together let's hit the road [Music] alright guys so first problem started overheating it's like so we pulled over start looking into that coal and everything I'm working looked and our battery light turned on and I just found a red belt oh man so much take this thing apart we've got a belt nearby I'm the one to get it you got the focus to go someone take it all apart hopefully it's gonna be an easy fix I'm gonna keep going so pulled over at a cutie alright so after looking at the Bell and get a belt off I realized the alternator was actually jammed up and it caused the belt to snap so I didn't want to get the belt and pretty much we went to see that an alternator and they did so I'm gonna continue taking it apart and hopefully that even comes back I'm gonna put this alternator in it doesn't look too hard but deftly that probably gave me a challenge let's get to it [Music] alright guys no got alternate every play we got a 30-30 place find everything really good it started raining on us again but uh thinking we're ready to go again this time make sure everything's closed we got the car hooked up again let's continue our road trip let's go [Music] alright guys pulled over gotta grab a little bit of lunch you gotta fill it up a little bit QT let's go get a snack really quick and then get back on the road get some food before everything closes so let's keep going alright guys change of plans they're closed already the lobby so let's go check out Taco Bell I guess everything's closed so we're just gonna figure something else out but let's go put some diesel in it wash the windows and hopefully get some food [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] alright guys so we got back to the shop everything turned out really good we got back safe no more issues with the engine or tires or anything like that no overheating just a long drive driving really slow so I had a great help I haven't helped me out a lot too and I couldn't have done it without you so we did it together we got teamwork we got it done we got a running and we did a thousand mile road trips so 2,000 2,000 miles thousand miles there and a thousand miles back oh all that damage all that salvage title for all one little wire guys so it was definitely a good deal alright guys so we're back in the shop check it out I've made it home this thing is epic Wow I mean that was just a lot of things could go wrong but hey they're back so that's awesome look at this thing it's huge hey check out the front what is this thing it's a expedition Fleetwood or something like that or well it's a Fleetwood but it's made by Freightliner or some like that I know you guys can tell us right yeah definitely let us know guys like I said this is definitely our first time against them like this wow thanks oh so open the hood Michael let's check out what kind of we lift this thing for Arielle off it so we lift it forward and then you tilt it up [Music] promotions gonna beat the generator quiet diesel update looks huge so this could be running while you're driving and running the AC and all the little gadgets inside so pretty much I think that's where the fire damage came from this side of the of the camper wow you know this is not really the motor this is just more the home power yeah yeah you can not plug it in just keep keep working nice to walk around let's check out the real engine where I had to do some work to it Michael hey so I just I love it just right I actually lowered their bags on it you can pick it up and go down let's think about airbag this giant things on every bag that's crazy a little good ride okay radiators in the back well it's got a cat diesel in there I think it's got like 300 horsepower Michael why don't know how much torque do you think this thing is probably about the same no I'm more like 600 that's crazy legit is a tractor right yeah that's not its got like a backup camera right there push the little button first that's all you see it's kind of kind of sad so to get to the engine the app to do while I go underneath actually lift up the bed and it's underneath we were working out it right here Michael check out these batteries so these are all the batteries I'm pretty sure for the generator because these are the two batteries or that we replace to get it running and I guess that's that inverter so we're gonna still have the mess and they're taking apart but there's the alternator yet I've seen it threaten you alternator likely take a yellow yellow tractor engine that's crazy turbo right there that's a total right there oh yeah lots lots of little repair work already done through the in tank I had to cut it wouldn't come off um alright let's go inside check it out look at these seats what these are like a captain seats for sure oh you might gonna be driving oh this is nice now you can drive around shilling it actually it actually swivels too much no way how do you underneath in the middle in the middle the middle right here no in the middle of right here a little bracket so you could like I could sit here drive and you can like swivel around turn yeah even like later when we're chillin play some games or something hang out this is nice then leave that TV TV up there it's got some surround sound some really cool stuff that's an old-school camera TV right there this is the backup camera right there and check out this Michael so you want some privacy just a little butter right here anymore [Music] that is Sansa backup camera works nicely yeah back there works too yeah [Music] that should be all the controls for the leveling kit and then slide outs alright guys so this is where the main damage was why they salvaged it out you can see all the basically fire extinguisher best coming on everywhere but today do you guys already cut some stuff you know how much that wire I guess didn't have a clamp on it and it was rubbing against the frame or some kind of metal bracket and then it just kept rubbin kept rubbing and then eventually rubbed through this insulation and caught fire dang just let it out pretty quick so yeah so much damage done I'm sure there's parts around that we get so oh yeah figured out we're just gonna blow a hole deep alright yeah man there's already so much room in here and yet this slides out alright yep both sides Oh fine for sure man you walk around no problem so when you're driving you're really chilling take a nap in the cab in my car gave me a seat belt at the whole time when you're sleeping in the couch oh yeah nice little engraved would play Nico brother's later or something make our own little custom plate so much space all that kind of kind of rustic it's good you want stuff I'd open so you don't want to know a lot of driving yeah it feels good nice and sturdy it's got a sink it's got a it's got a dishwasher yeah yeah I think so real similar no dishwasher you got to do yourself that's like I'm a little brother for right dang don't be this together us go let's go camping go get of stoves that's a nice whole countertops yeah on this thing board games for sure let's keep going you see any more damages though not too bad at all nothing really I mean it's just dusty for sure but overall pretty nice so this slides out and that's why there's a window in this inside okay here we got the fridge freezer a little dirty stinky definitely get that cleaned over all the cosmetics it's really nice I wonder what kind of like power these guys use this should work off the generator or propane we can look some lights mice don't work right now but they got a mirror back there let's go to the next bedroom this is the bathroom area mother's got a shower pretty cool you take a shower the show whoa I'll have to leave this shop just keep this nice for sure it's a pretty spacious shower not bad at all what about the words about the moon let's sit over here right yep yeah halo fan going on open then what anything over back there while you're driving that is nice no more pit stops coming kids go to the bathroom nice my space I guess what's under here what washer and dryer just the washing machine right it's a Washington Drogheda could do pollination but it's really small like oh yeah you know if you're living on the road you don't need that much anyway so unless you have work you yeah nothing's gonna be going all the time only it's meant for a full-size family okay so through here we have the master bedroom this thing's pretty huge too lots of space I don't have the slide outs working but let's get a shot and see what happens I don't know because underneath the bed over here is basically the motorist and that's where you could work on the engine to the inside it's pretty crazy it's working [Music] you're not gonna get hit a car I thought already I might I honestly buy it go check it out yeah okay there's a Beemer out there you all right I gotta say right there Wow look at all it's like walking room oh yeah a little stab going on so then would you just take this off right here this goes off yeah what it's not a wiring it's tiring but I think this one it goes up and we worked under there we kind of get a slide to work earlier wow that's so cool flashlight dang yeah plenty of space so this is what we replace look how easy that would have been right there oh my god yeah we replace the alternator and the serpentine belt at least you know at least this access that's great that's nice the future well looks like they unscrew the bolt
