hi everyone welcome back to the channel and a new video we are on the motorway we've got a camera lady today i've got my claire holding the camera and she is taking me to pick up the vehicle you can see it in the thumbnail one of our subscribers adam young thank you very much reached out to me on instagram sent me a number for a motor home and said rob these people want to get rid of it they don't think it's going to pass an mot i have searched through the internet every night religiously since we sold that last motorhome it was fantastic content and i genuinely do use them when i have them so he's reached out and said she thinks it's gonna fail the mot i've rung the lady up she's in london so quite a journey about an hour we arrived there at 10 15. about to bring claire today because not sure what day you're watching this video but chris is actually working on the bank holiday monday video which is today so as soon as we get there i'll update we'll have a good look around it and uh i've got trade plates i'll plan on driving it home so fingers crossed it's good when we get there inside guys i can't i can't actually recall outside there's a little bit of a situation but we'll elaborate on that later this is the first time i've gotten it looking at it and it does i've got all the curtains shut i'm not sure if that's how they store them but i need to just go through and do some checks on it toilet and showered out the lady said it's got a new toilet cassette it's got all new gas bottles seems to have everything on it this like i said i've got i'm gonna have to elaborate on it a little bit later but what we quickly do we we have teamed up again with the guys at car vertical to do a check on it and they've given us a discount that you guys can use as well so in a bit of a situation there and i will elaborate on that shortly but here is the motorhome we did purchase it well i say we did purchase it i didn't even mention it chris that guy that reached out to us it took a little while backwards and forwards until he could get me their details and as soon as he did i struck made the call arranged against it and went down and got it but you'll be pleased to know chris does approve very old now 93 94 but you cannot buy a campervan for nothing there's just they're just not available there's none around you can see this has been sat for quite a while and it is pretty dirty but guys i've just driven this home from southeast london and to be honest it didn't skip a beat it drove fine so i'm quite happy with it so far so far so good i'm gonna cut this little bit short because i've actually booked it in for an mot and what we're gonna do we know that he hasn't got an mot we know that it's got a few things wrong with it like that number plate is definitely spaced illegally and you can see it is one of those speed camera deterrent plates where it's got the grey in it 3d and maybe it's called i don't know i don't really understand it all but i know they're doing half gray half black and it makes the speed camera not pick it up it's got some sort of reflective strip so yep i know it's not the same as the last motorhome but what a lovely thing to have this time of year and it is quite a nice thing got a lot on it i'm just going to run over now get it mot'ed and like i said we'll jump inside it after and i will elaborate on the situation that i was in and more about the van so we're on our way to mot guys you've probably noticed in the background now we've got the wipers going really fast just as about to pull out the gate they actually was stuck in the middle of the windscreen and i was like that from when i picked it up yesterday but chris just said let's have a quick look at the fuses i was in the uh glove box and when i was driving home yesterday as well the temperature gauge and the fuel gauge completely cut off and i panicked a little bit i'll thought the fan belt was snapped but it actually hadn't chris found the floam 10 amp fuse in there straight away and said it's for the wipers the temperature gauge and the fuel gauge that's it yep he's put it in but i was a little bit stuck but we found a can of wd-40 and chris has just sprayed them up and we've left them on full power just to free them up a little bit really but ronald your shepherd i know so many of you always say in the video because it's been a long time since i went over that bridge but yeah we're heading over there and we'll pick up soon as we get there let you know how we get on like i said earlier we are working we're going to be working from a failure sheet and you can hear the exhaust is blowing and we genuinely only been managed to check the light would we so we're but that's that's kind of the plan it's a different way round for us normally we'd go right through it take it for an mot and then hopefully it passes but we're gonna we know it's gonna fail so we're gonna get that fell sheet and we're gonna work right off of that back when we get there so guys very very surprising at the mot he has just finished it we've asked if we can just quickly leave it up on the ramp so that i could show you underneath and this is why i actually bought it yesterday because i lied down underneath i couldn't see lots and lots but i've had two of these before and i could see that all the floor in it was quite nice very very minimal surface rust on the axle it genuinely has been looked after we've got chris here with our torch all of the inner seals guys look at them i had a good feeling here yesterday yes it has had worked before you can see it's actually had a plate put in there previously and they quite nice job with that as well chris i think there it's possibly it has a it's had one along there as well you can see it's been put in there there's a little bit of rust there but that wasn't actually a failure because it's more than 30 centimeters away it has failed on one bit of welding which was over there and he said it's previously been welded before but it is separated but you know us guys chris is going to want to make a nice job of that anyway so we've got that to contend with the exhaust you can see it doesn't look like that's hit anything but you can see it's pulled it apart and it has actually been blowing up there hasn't it so we're thinking that's where our blows come from but it's got a little bit of an oil leak and you can see it's coming just from here it's not coming from any higher up so it's going to want a new sump gasket on it again not a problem but everything up there looks really really good i mean i can't elaborate on it too much but i will when we get back to the yard yeah it's had a big one put in there before previously as well i mean that that just wants sealing up again chris doesn't it it does want tidying up so what we do we get back to the yard and we'll read through the foul sheep but we're quite happy it has got another exhaust rubber missing just here as well and that one there's quite perished so we'll probably chuck a new set of rubbers around it there is only four so yeah quite happy mate you very very solid for its age and i'm quite impressed with it under it like i said i laid down on the floor when i got there and i could see all under here so let's get back to the yard i know that was very brief yesterday when i was in the back and i had all the curtains shut so i couldn't really show you around it really is a nice old well-kept thing guys so we got i'll just clip that up we've got a sink there loads of storage all very very nice for its age really well looked after more storage now i'm not going to go through and open them all up but you pretty much get a gist of it you've got a sink hob there two gas burners on it there's a grill underneath needs a little bit of a clean out but all in all very nice fridge freeway fridge and the lady said to me it all works electric battery or gas for a little van it's got a very very reasonably sized shower come with all the hookup lead uh various other bits and bobs a trolley it's got a nice new um toilet system in it and that's all very very clean and nice there is a nice new gas bottle in here a brand new one not being used and another one there she said was quite full so we've got a couple of gas bottles nice little wardrobe there with a table more storage up there and then of course all of this here turns into a big double bed but you don't have to use that you can just leave them as seats they have all got seat belts as well we've got all the power up there lights extraction there's not extraction there but as a pop-up more electrics here for the night heater and bits and pieces like that more lighting i think that's actually tonight here guys sorry but this bit here actually you can see it's just over the top of the cab there that actually pulls down and then you can pull all this out and you can see if i move back it comes all the way back here and it has a huge bed and that's where i always slept i like i said i've had two of these before and only three years ago i went to the festival in one of these and i slept up there for three days and it's perfectly adequate and they are a brilliant little van just for a couple they are fantastic so that's the inside of it it starts on the button like i said it drives very very nice it wants a cd player in it with a usb just to smarten it up and possibly maybe upgrade the speakers i think they're in the dash on these aren't they no they are in the doors so yeah we'll see how they sound and we get a stereo in it so we have just been for the mot and this is not saying that let's get out of that sun this is not something that we see very often that's actually no better guys is it that's better so we got fail repair immediately major defects headlamp not working on dipped beam offside front position lamp not working offside front registration plate incorrect font we did pick that up actually when we uh filmed earlier registration plate incorrect rear headlamp not working on main beam front it's all the same side and i think it's probably going to be an earth because they're very dim suspension arm ball joint excessively worn offside front suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength offside front but as you can see from the little video i just did it's very very clean underneath windscreen washer is not working nearside front windscreen washer not working offside front now the washer jets are not working at all you can see the dash lights dim in when you're pulling it so the pump's obviously stuck but for an old vehicle like this we can get a pump off of anything down the breakers repair as soon as possible minor defects windscreen wiper blade now both of these a windscreen wiper offside and nearside he said they're working but i couldn't check them because your squirters are not working so that's fair enough monitor and repair uh if necessary wheel bearing has slight play nearside front wheel baron has slight play offside front tyre slightly damaged offside front there's a little bit of a scuff on the sidewall near side front outer arch corroded offside front outer are wheel arch corroded vehicle structure is corroded but structurally rigidity is not and basically that's the seals and then we've got suspension component mounted in prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive and it is just surface rust you could see it under there we will be cleaning all that up exhaust mounting defective central so that was the split rubber that i showed you and there was one missing nearside out a seal corroded offside out still corroded it actually passed the emissions check let me just spin this round it actually passed the emissions check with the exhaust blowing he said i can only do what the computer is telling me to do and i'll put it in there and it's passed but the exhaust does need doing it's very loud when you're driving it and the more you accelerate but i'm quite excited about this and can't wait to get cracking let's show you down here on the floor it's all still quite a nice color but needs a good wash needs a good clean this bit of carpet it all needs sticking back together and i'm sure we will get it quite nice look at the seats guys look how clean and tidy they are the last one i had was very very floral and didn't look very nice inside done 99 212 miles but yeah what do you think another clock like the workshop not working we can't seem to get a clock working but i'm going to jump outside now and actually show you why the number plates are illegal and also i'll show you what you think of this quite a lot of you would have already picked this up on the first walk around guys lisa and that's what the lady was calling it when i was there but those number plates yeah that shouldn't be like that so they are spaced incorrectly [Applause] this has been repaired before but this one didn't come up in an mot but of course we're going to get that better than that and we're going to tidy all this up as well that's the repair i showed you but i could i was on the inside i never saw it so that again it's all gonna work it's gonna want doing right down the seal and you can see i asked him to just chalk up all of the bits and there's a little scab on the wing there but same as my last van from this line this line here that runs all the way down the van can you see a mark on that van above that line you can't so absolute worst way from this line all the way down the whole van we do them repairs and have that bit painted that's exactly what i did on the last one the aerial's facing the wrong way so that's going to need looking at there we go all fixed the bonnet again all clean these rot out like crazy on the scuttle panel this does only have surface rust there's the little scab that he mentioned on the mot again well below that line that one's all okay that seal even looks okay but there is a little hole there and i got him to chalk round it and again it's had a repair there at the back so overall not bad at all i spun the old captain's chairs around guys what do you think i really really like this campervan look at me i'm all teeth i i genuinely do obviously i drove down there and claire come with me and she drove back and she drove past me on the motorway and she was really like giggling at me as she drove past and when when i got home she said you get so excited about the simplest things like this little campervan i was like love this time next week we're going to be going away in that for the night she went oh i don't know about that next week she thinks because it's old i don't know do they women that she said oh and you've got loads of work to do on it but genuinely really happy and surprised about the mot it's fantastic that there's only them bits to do i think this fan we bought it for a reasonable price and of course with an mot and on the road it's going to be a significantly more amount than that but i do plan on using it guys maybe there'll be a video of me going away on it i don't know or a little integration of it somewhere but genuinely i think you you can all tell i love a moat rome whether it's a small little van this size uh motor motorhome or like the big one that i have before i genuinely just love them all i think they're a fantastic idea and they are great fun to just get in and go for the weekend there's nothing to stop you and like i said earlier this van is perfect for a couple just two people it's it's got everything you're gonna need like home from home so i'm really really chuffed about it and i think chris is quite happy about it as well because i didn't even tell him about it i just thought well i won't i won't mention it until i've acted on it you know kind of you don't want to say nothing until it's actually done or a reality so yeah thank
