We Bought 14 Hybrid Electric Peterbilt Semi Trucks!

this thing's got all electric Drive axles in it look at that what's up brother today we've got over 12 hybrid electric semi- trucks that we here at Fisher Collision Repair purchased and we're going to be taking them in one by one over the next few weeks dismantling them and selling them all for parts and using them for parts at the Collision facility but these are all very special because they are a hybrid electric truck they originally had some kind of an engine in the front of them with battery packs but they all have electric axles they all have under 20,000 miles on them so today we're going to be checking them out and getting them uh start taking them apart lots of really really cool and good parts on these trucks so all of these trucks well most of them except for like one or two have aluminum fifth wheels and they've got these Meritor electric Drive axles at Ryan you don't have a cam a mic on so you can laugh we're using microphones today and uh pretty much all new tires and wheels with like healthy tread dude look how thick that tread is it's like over half a c but these axles are really really unique I don't know if we have enough tools here in the new shop to get them out yet but we at least get it pulled in the shop we brought stuff to get the fifth wheels off of it and stuff like that we might be able to get the axles out actually maybe possibly we shall see but they are all 579s these are all like the mega sleeper huge Gigantor cabs on these guys the uh they're all 579 epic there you go All Digital dash D we should put one of these seats in Ryan's Hellcat one day green seat Bel literally dude jeez all right well let's get the first one pulled in the shop start taking some parts off of it I'm excited other way other way there you go hook it on the frame it's his first day on the job this guy [Music] all right we're going to get old forky underneath the front axle here so we can change these front tires to some steelies and get all these aluminum sets together as one good not going to reach no well the forks are not long enough to go underneath the front axle so if you're open the hood since there's no engine in it hook a chain the front axle and pick it up we're going to get the front tires changed out with some steelies then we'll uh do a full tour of inside the truck and check it out that not but leave it down leave it down for now why does that not turn unless they're electric boie wogie WGY all right so we got these things in the shop let's check it out oh that was a little sketch so a whole lot of nothing in these yep they ain't got no motor in it basically they're a complete truck that were ordered new I don't I don't they're not gliders yeah there's there's no uh thing this doesn't turn very well either here we go there's no g g g or nothing in the VIN numbers nothing like that so not glider so they're destined to have some kind of emission compliant engines in them but uh do like brand new batteries steering wheel tied up to hold everything straight probably should climb in the other side so right off the rip here we got some sweet mirrors with the cameras in them good hoods bumpers axles coolant that's not coolant windshield washer res Reservoir all kinds of stuff they're pretty much just a standard truck that didn't have a diesel engine on I think they had a it says CNG so compressed natural gas engine in it watch out oh boy there's so much room in here Ryan you're going to have to turn the flash on need lake to go get his all his uh flashlights on the way so much room for microwaves all kinds of stuff little did we know lake has the sunlight with him even though the eclipse happen today looks pretty complete to me dude it looks huge it is huge compared to the 389 a it Windows everywhere put some bunk beds in here dude you can hang a chandelier in here bet it is crazy how much more roomier these trucks are compared to the 389s but everything is brand new in these so you guys are interested in buying a whole cab we're selling the whole cabs complete hoods we're not going to be taking individual pieces off the truck so yeah I guess that's a full tour of the inside Ain it like air air damn technology there's all kinds of stuff on this thing so all electric axles in this thing they're a Meritor axle that are controlled by some kind of a control box look at the wires see where some someone just yacked them off there boom it would be cool if we were to put these axles on something cool we do have approximately 24 individual axles or obviously no more than that we have 14 28 individual axles or 14 sets so if anyone's interested in buying all of them of course you know what to do drop me an email but uh all this aerodynamic stuff on these trucks we don't want to cut or do anything drastic to hurt any of this stuff so we want to make the most of it but this is all good stuff that can be used on trucks literally flow below that's interesting I wonder what that's off of all kinds of like stuff rode on the frame interesting and to get this bone put right over the center of the truck pick up the front axle with the uh chain and then get these front tires swapped around comment Down Below guys have you ever seen something like this before these are pretty unique now I want to do both we'll be I guess you can hook it on the frame like we did the other one right or how do you how are you thinking I was thinking we just um just hook it on itself like right around something doesn't really got to be specific I guess I'll just do one side at a time dude you know what these are actually the tires we need for the scan you but they're they're a uh steer Tire not a drive tire so that's not going to work boom oh these are all brand new like really nice brake assemblies too who needs some front axles we got front axles what the heck good job goad impa off broke the watch some sore fingers old son old sh hey uh can you go grab the uh pry bar out of the crack over there all right don't son get to pulling these things off so every single one of these trucks has got pretty much bridg St are Coopers on the back and they all have Michelin drives but they're all the big boy 315 drives on the front which is kind of strange but these are all Low Pro 29575 225 which I think are the same ones are on the Traer taxi interesting Meritor planetary hubs pick the bottom up and I'll pull the top huh very strange they like bar fit that Hub perfectly dud look at that this is so strange these remind me of like the European trucks cuz a lot of the heavy heavy H European trucks that got a planetary Hub so weird I kind of want to take them apart and see how they work let's not though dude look at that thing that's crazy looking this TIR is about to fall over interesting it's like brand new still I wonder if the guys over at Edison Motors could use these maybe we should hit them up is part of the video hly cameraman Ryan we're going to pretend we just did unbolt this on we got to pull these flow below off to get the tire off because the suspension drooped and these are from some flow below kits we can sell everything on this bird oh that's how much toe yep why' you do that I don't know you didn't get steel toe I'm not a very fart smeller I did get these new Sketchers they're good year how'd you do that the other day on camera you're like kick it's easy you can do it good I bet Kyle can do a real good one oh yeah yeah you can you definitely can these axles are just so intriguing so crazy looking in't it oh that's a Tennessee word I better be careful it in't it that's wild very unique stuff in here good H it's that easy that easy [Applause] how many batteries we got though two two Snap-on batteries mhm maybe we can get one elex today we have a crescent wrench though Kyle PR C his Plumbing truck you're plumber right pluming truck no he's a Mason kind of close yeah same same different different all right we get this one out I guess now that we just put it on Jack you take the dri if you take the drive shaft out I'll take the rest 16 doubles as a 78 so it'll work get them Airlines oh no it don't work for that one crap there all kinds of ABS yeah we need some cutter pliers too good thing I bought a toolbox all right we got our Cobalt toolbox here Cobalt I was hoping there'd be a pair of pliers in here I don't see any crescent wrench pliers on there oh wrenches appear too small we probably need a three a 19 mm or 3/4 so like a crescent wrench if you had oh is it going to go big enough aing dude it'll work we will have all of our tools here very soon I promise but we just have some other projects to finish up this week including the Rotator we got to get the EGR cooler on it this week and uh here you go let me get that side we got to put the lift axle and Brutus got to do some different fuel tanks got to move the de tank underneath the hood so much to do all right let's get all these uh ABS wires Cut Loose this is a job for Ryan because he likes tearing stuff apart and not putting it back together this is the IDE ideal job for Randy here Randall how do you get this apart I've been bamboozled cut we're not worried about the chassis wiring harness cuz it's pretty much chassis questionable so cut that we just don't want to mess with anything to do with the axle so we'll keep all the axle stuff nice this ABS wire undone inside here there we go we need to find a way to keep this from getting damaged maybe put it right here oh check that out eh maybe oh there's a Cobalt too huh you just leave my kit I stole we'll steal them back where's our electric ratchet when we need it this stuff for the birds ah this is the longest bolt I've ever messed with jeez there we go a you biscuit our leveling valve is not coming [Music] unleveled they did a good job cutting them I know right good job pater Belt look how look how not round these holes are dude look at that it's all like edged out and stuff [Applause] [Music] anyes away there we go come on so I'm forced to take it off right here because that thing won't come loose oh it's about out of it look at that there we go that works too have a good leveling valve still [Music] T I feel like it's going to slam on the ground it is probably is no let's not we don't have a jack here either do we nope idiot you know what I did me too everyone but this guy says we can put the forks of the T Handler under it lift just the axle up take that bolt out drop it down slide it out that easy huh that simple that simple you want me to do it that simple dude let's go ahead and do this other one then so all we have one bolt on each one hey Ryan can you get some honey buns just for me and BR for the two of us yeah serious he just ate one there a no honey buns here yes there is I bought them for us though not for you like I said guys still keeping the uh wires intact that go to the axles we're not messing with the just cutting the plug on the other side that felt good didn't it little bit got to take the bolt out too biscuit it went that's see [Music] it there you have it our rear ends are out much easier way to do these things and I just don't know why I think we have another forklift over there we could have been using that this whole time anyhow we'll get the process down we have 13 more to do just like this get both these electric reaal out now you can see it too it's crazy that this small amount is an electric motor that drives a truck down the highway you know what's crazy is there's more horsepower right here than okay all of Ryan's charger I don't know how much horsepower these are pretty crazy things see there's a model number on these things right here see what it says BB 20 5 4x6 4x6 I'm sorry 391 gear ratio this must be like a speed sensor right here on the front of it or something they got like a cooling system built into them all kinds of stuff be cool to take it apart be cool if we could sell it and not take it apart but it'd be cool to see what it look like right there's probably like the speed controller power going in maybe a Locker right there or something I don't know a panu valve nutator valve I forgot L's miked up he probably said some dumb stuff earlier I did Tuesday we are going to be dropping this video I'm not doing that's so dumb no it's not anyhow guys hope you enjoyed the video you ever have any
