WE ALMOST DIED IN OUR NEW FORD BRONCO!

nation today is officially the day what day you might ask well today is the day that we're at a ford dealership uh-oh what ford dealership the brad howell ford dealership where kevin in kokomo indiana we just flew here this morning from utah we woke up at 5 00 a.m this morning to fly all the way across the country to come to this ford dealership in particular yep because britney's finally letting me get a gt500 a mock e definitely not well i've already had a gt350 that's true and then we blew the motor and we bought a jeep and now look where we're at oh get a ford dealership that's not how i intended that to come out but you know whatever whatever this isn't scripted at all actually but we're at brett howell ford in kokomo indiana these guys have been amazing we came all the way to indiana to buy our brand new [Music] i would like to officially introduce all of you to our brand new 2021 ford bronco now in case you haven't already noticed this is a badlands with a sasquatch package it has a 2.7 liter ecoboost v6 engine and as far as the electronics go we went all in and got it fully equipped with the lux package meaning this has every piece of awesome electronic comfort and of course driving assist feature that you could possibly want in a vehicle now you might ask yourself why would we do that to what we're very most definitely going to modify to be an off-roading beast well that's because we originally didn't plan for it to be our off-roading beast for very long we bought this brand new 2021 ford bronco with the full intent of giving it away to one of you guys and i think we still plan on doing that but you might have to convince kevin and help me convince kevin to stick with that plan because he's kind of fallen alive a little bit and we're about to drive it all the way back across the country to utah and have a feeling the more time he spends in the driver's seat the more he's gonna like it because we all know that ifs is way way more comfortable on road than solid axle but as far as off-road it's a little bit different now you guys have heard us mention in videos that we're not really gonna go the rock crawling route as far as the build goes with this bronco like we did with the stepchild our jeep wrangler jlu rubicon and that's because we have the stepchild we have this hemi-swapped monster rock crawling beast along with a couple of sweet buggies which means we kind of don't need another rock crawler and that's really not where this is going to shine the most anyways so we're going a different route with this build and we have a ton of plans in store but i'm thinking someone by someone i mean one of you might really like seeing this in your driveway one day so help me out let's tell kevin to continue the idea of giving this away okay guys so this here this is andy say hi to the youtube world highlight bright nation there you go awesome so they had contacted us a while ago he's like hey i'm a fan i know you're getting a bronco i'd love to get you your bronco and here it is and we just had the best of time getting this thing didn't we greatest time ever the greatest time ever we got in on the first edition reservation first day first 3500 and then i wanted the orange what's it called cyber orange cyber orange that's what i wanted but then the first edition you could only get blue interior so we changed from a first edition to a badlands sasquatch uh then what happened it took a while it took a while ford suggested or recommended that if you wanted your bronco faster we should give up the hardtop which we did give up the hitch which we did give up to sasquatch which i didn't give up the 2.7 nope not me neither right so we were like okay it's good to go i got a vin number we got a build date they built it in august 6th if i'm not mistaken they build it august 6th what is this december today is december the 14th ordered in january built in august not too bad it was done by like august 14th and then it disappeared yeah it literally nobody could find it he couldn't find it his rep couldn't find it the gm couldn't find it i called ford customer serv nobody could find our bronco lauren healey couldn't find it we called everyone we could think of to try to find this bronco behind you and no one could find it finally sean the guy we bought our ultra four car from works at ford he's like i will get somebody to find it and sure enough within like a week or so he got somebody to find it and it was in the back of the dirt mountain whatever lot so sean got it and it came in and then and then what did we find out it had 85 miles it has 85 miles on it it's a brand new vehicle so what had happened was there was some kind of issue recall something going on we don't know exactly what they couldn't really tell us but sean said hey i'm gonna get this taken care of for you but you need to give me the permission to let the engineers drive your vehicle and drive it around for like a weekend and i was like sure okay but now we're here it's beautiful and it's already broken in so that means we can just go go to town look at this click click and then hold on there's a little rod there like a hood like a hood latch i don't know i haven't seen that i don't care about anything else we don't have to show you anything else it's a bronco there's a million reviews out on it already because everybody's gotten theirs a year before we got ours not their fault we're the last ones to get a freaking bronco okay i wasn't going to do any kind of review thing but i put this in reverse and oh my god i can see so the camera is way better than our f-450 camera yeah he sucks so bad okay so now that we're officially on the road and we only have a measly 1700 miles to get back home we figured you might be wondering why did we fly all the way to indiana to pick up a ford bronco why didn't we get something closer to home it's actually a really simple answer yeah these guys are super awesome and they let me know that they do not charge over msrp for anything even in these crazy coping times where all these dealerships across the country are charging five ten twenty thirty thousand dollars over it wasn't the case with these guys no they so they told me we even spoke to the owner he goes i don't do that i will not charge my customers over msrb which is why we went to them we're going through a freaking clear blizzard right now it's gotta be like 60 mile an hour wind 23 times straight winds just like right in our face we're getting zero miles to the gallon dude it is so windy it's like and just so you guys know this is not like normal oh it's kind of breezy outside like we just watched an 18 wheeler go up on two wheels that should not be on the highway they should be getting off right there we got we just got emergency alert 80 mile per hour when destructive 80 mile per hour winds take shelter and sturdy building away from windows flying debris uh maybe deadly without oh there you go again severe effects destructive medium out 80 mile per hour destructive 80 mile per hour and of course for kansas kansas and mile per hour our soft top is not being happy right he's done oh god wait oh my geez dude we might lose our freaking stop top that would suck there's nowhere to pull over it says pull over where am i gonna pull pull over yeah sure we'll hop right on that no no it's oh my god i don't know if i want to hold on to it i don't know don't know the truck i'm gonna truck sideways look at this watch these 18 wheelers like they are not they should not be on the road kevin you shouldn't be holding on to that no i'm stronger than the wind i don't think you're stronger than 80 mile an hour winds everywhere i don't know it would have to be pretty violent oh god it'll probably damage it but i don't think it's gonna just go flying off it's so loud in here yeah i'm scared it's gonna like i know this is our luck too like like of course of course we go and pick up our brand new bronco and then drive it through essentially a hurricane well where's uh dorothy i know oh my god okay so can confirm i can actually if i reach up on my side i can stick my hand outside if you like squish it down in there so i don't think it ripped anything apart from anything i just don't think the soft top's like fully attached along the hole and it's just i think it's just coming through and bowing it upwards so i don't think it ripped anything yet it's just extra terrifying no the back window is unhappy on the top oh no the windows are the back windows are very upset about this so definitely you don't go under a bridge and wait in a tornado so even during the straight line wins we went under the bridge and as we went under it literally like thrashed the whole vehicle because as of what as the air comes under the bridge it speeds the air up so it could be 80 mile an hour here and 130 under the bridge so we just passed a sign an electronic sign that said i-70 is closed due to blowing dust i don't know how to be blowing up it's raining i know it's raining i guess it's raining so it's so bad that they moved the highway what the oh my god he's okay is he okay oh i don't see anyone in there i'm staying in oh my god careful please don't get hit by anyone because there's other 18 wheelers kevin i don't need you i can't i can't open the door davey shut the door is he in there he's not in there you sure yes he's not in there there's other people stopped hopefully he's inside someone else's rig dude just be careful if another 18 wheeler comes by is going slow babe i know but i just don't want anyone else tipping on us sound like a woman what i don't know if y'all can see like you can physically see the rain blowing sideways i don't think the camera can pick it up but look at that mercedes all right dude okay all right that's where we call it quits no i know very slow we're out of the rain now this is all dust in the air you literally taste it so it finally stopped raining looks like we're on a different planet oh god i i've come across the country for decades now i've always driven across the country i've never been into anything like this i've got signs down this is absolutely insane and if you're wondering why we haven't pulled over we got places to be thank you already yeah not 24 hours old and we've already got a giant chip out of our windshield we got another one right right there see i'm telling you if these vehicle manufacturers would just give us their vehicles to test drive like pre-production-wise somehow we always figure out a way to put it through excessive testing we'll find the boss we will absolutely find the faults with the vehicle look to give you an idea of just how windy it is look at the boost gauge right here so 10 pounds this should be at like two pounds of boost to cruise yeah we're just cruising we'll wait for a wind gust and you'll see what we're dealing with when the wind blows look at it spike 17 pounds of boost it has to go to full boost oh gosh [Music] you can't tell [Music] now i'm a oh scared oh no there's another one slow down slow down slow down make sure he's okay uh i assume he is good by now you assume he's good by now just don't want him oh don't go back it's on the highway kevin let's just make sure he's sure i know i just want to make sure he's not in there well let's see how quieter it gets when we're going the other way the other way and this hasn't been stressed yet wow that's eerie how quiet it is just make sure he's not in there is he good i don't i don't see anybody in there i don't see anyone oh there's a tag on the tag on the door okay so if we're going the other way we're fine we're going with the 100 miles of the gallon going the other way i keep expecting to see a cow yeah another cow another cow i think that's the same one this is wild oh my god oh my god oh no oh no so much for our windshield and our paint an off-roading vehicle so we're not really worried about like paint chips and little scratchy scratches here and there again because it's an off-road vehicle it's going to get it eventually anyways we're just breaking her in super early is what's happening right now on the pavement we did hear a weird noise earlier example like the tire exploded i think we hit something in the road but it almost sounded like we like like a deflation of a tire yeah like we defeated or blew out a tire but tires are all fine and all four fenders are still on so i don't know what it was i don't think we've lost any body panels maybe we lost our license plate we had to hit something i feel like i don't know what did jake say jake said uh are you guys trying to be the first ones to die in a bronco and i think so they said you die i have dibs on chris at the supra i have dips on chris and the super not even even the the stepchild wouldn't you pick bec i picked becca the step child no i picked chris in the supra jake you literally think like a girl you know normally people are really upset when we don't have jelly bean in a video with us and i have to say i am extremely thankful that we don't have her in the car with us right now she'd be so terrified i'm freaked out right now crap it's closed up here that spring i didn't find my way around i wonder if there's a different way around yeah get on google we'll see if we can't take these side roads all right that's crazy so they just want us to take a back road but we can get fuel at least oh the gates are broken and we're in a bronco i can just go around the gate i could then we could get arrested jesus christ they have the back roads closed too is there any way to get they'll be closed for the night like we just got to get a hotel somewhere or is there any way to get west i cannot guarantee there's a way to get west you may be running into more problems then is it from all the fires there's power lines that are snapping all over the place yeah i just wasn't sure if we needed to just go get a hotel or something or hotel but i can't tell you not to okay i got you thank you so the good news is we're in a bronco and although there's a lot of them and only one of us we have a lot of kansas dirt road there's a lot of open dirt roads in kansas so we're uh we're we're gonna find a way so i'm just open navigating essentially just imagine king of the hammers but without a map i'm just gonna get us west and i just filled up oh action in here [Music] we made it we survived we did survive the windshield didn't survive the wind still did not though i don't know if you can well you might probably not be able to see oh there you go you can see it right here less than 24 hours owning our new bronco and we have cracked the windshield which is actually a i can't see your face which is actually a uh a better record than the cheap it's a work better a horse rack a worse record better record and the jeeps and the jeeps defense though or the broncos defense i guess we went through 100 miles an hour winds which you've never done in the team while doing 70 to 80 miles an hour so technically we were doing 180 180 mile an hour and we still have 800 miles to get home thunderstorms rain tornadoes near death experiences and now a snowstorm a snowstorm well it's not too snow stormy yet but it is snowing it's 25 degrees out the roads are icy and it's basically ice falling out of the sky so this is fun we picked like the worst possible time to pick up a new vehicle you know what the bronco's doing great very pleased with how it rides and it's got this four auto mode so it's rear-wheel drive when it needs to be and then uh if it feels like it needs front it kind of feeds it in it's kind of cool it's actually look right it's right here on the screen see these little guys right here there you go so that tells you if it's rear wheel or all four so right now we're going to send in all your power yeah where it says the power it's definitely wanting all four in this weather right now but it's it's icy we're at high elevation and uh it's 24 25 degrees out but we're only two and a half hours from home though finally 200 miles to go now if you're wondering still at this point why kevin and i were in such a rush we had to make it through this storm why i wasn't gonna pull over in the middle of kansas it's because we had to make it back in utah today and no later because today we're helping to celebrate a very very special friend's birthday [Music] [Music] so i know that your birthday was technically a little while ago but happy birthday nonetheless thank you if you guys don't know who matt is what rock have you been sleeping under we made it back in time we almost killed ourselves doing it and i heard kevin was just telling me they had headwinds just crazy weather anyway you guys we're alive we're with friends and overall i would say that was probably one of the most interesting trips across the country we've ever made yeah and now we're back home which means i can start putting the bronco to the test look this is our backyard guys we've got dunes we've got jumps we've got rocks we've got canyons i'm going to leave the broncos stock for a little bit i want to go test it the way it is stock i want to show you what the bronco will do stock first and then we'll go to coilovers and 37s and then craziness you guys know us you know the type
