Can we just all agree on a set of lessons we’ve learned from this:

1. ⁠The moderator needs to be able to mute participants.
2. ⁠When one candidate is speaking the other mic is muted and they need to request to interrupt instead of just shouting one-liners like a five year old in a playground argument.
3. ⁠We need live fact checking. The moderator needs to be well informed and be able to call out the candidates for lying.
4. ⁠There needs to be some kind of repercussion for lying.
5. ⁠During the 2 minute answer at the start of each segment the candidates talk to the moderator or the audience, not to the other candidate.
6. ⁠When the moderator speaks both candidates shut the fuck up. If this doesn’t happen make it so that when the moderator’s mic is in use both mics are automatically muted.
