hi there there was going to be a funny wacky animation here but my dumbass overwrote the longest segment of it and now there's no time to remake it here's a few Snippets of the other bits because when else will I show any of this I'm not mad you're mad and now enjoy this abrupt intro cyanex here's a actual true fact I misspelled his name three times in my script before having to look it up but I'm going to continue spelling it wrong and said script before the rest of the video the steinx is quite the milestone for de with him being the 50th Warframe and to celebrate he was given out freely to everyone for two weeks just for logging in well mostly everyone and that is one hell of a good deal during a Dev stream Pablo explained that steinx in regards to his gameplay is pretty reminiscent to older frame kits when I saw the model like there was something about it that felconnect classic Warframe in a way and I think this kid is also his kid is kind of like a little more uh stripped down in a way is not as uh crazy as some of the others we have made and to be honest I actually agree with him hell right out of the box just looking at the Spartan man does make me think of earlier designs and I say that in a good way you know I think a lot of it has to do with how smooth he looks yeah like you ever notice how Boomer frames like sandpaper was rubbed all across them you know in comparison to Modern frames yeah he has that going on what was I talking about oh yeah and it's also seen in his kit too modern frames often have special gauges cyclable power States and unique Synergy mechanics well cyanex has no such thing that none of his powers have toggleable different functions and nor are there any alternate effects if he combines his powers together what Synergy does exist in this kit are just basic game functions working together and I don't think that's a bad thing not every frame needs to be operated and multitasked like a power grid Gauss cyanex very much feels like a modernized take on old Warframe designs built for taking on the present trials that the game currently offers those Trials of course being armor values in the 17 digit range mobs they can kill you if they so much as look at you and enemies they can just ignore your magical space Powers because some [ __ ] goes anyway time for his powers and as always let's start with the funny passive and this one is pretty pogging and Nexus though his critical chance increases with his shield count and that bonus doubles with spear guns now if you don't mind I would like to put my smooth brain on display for all of you to see because I thought that the first part of this passive was relating to actual Shield as in the one on his arm or the ones you get with sword and shield weapons I was actually scratching my head wondering if it meant that steinx using a shield weapon of any kind would boost his crate I somehow managed to forget that Shields are a whole ass mechanic I'm just going to go ahead and assume that I am the only one who is stupid enough to come to this conclusion and move on now so yeah the more Shields you have the more crit chance steinx receives and if you're using a spirit gun then hey even more though it is important important to note that this number isn't added flatly to your weapons it's a percentage increase to its already existing crit rate is so the usefulness of this passive mainly relies on weapons with already decent crit though since the bonus doubles with spear guns it pretty much gives all spear guns currently available the ability to Yellow crit which is quite tasty honestly the passive alone gives steinx the ability to be a pretty decent Gunslinger frame so if someone is new to the game building him around the use of crit weapons isn't the worst idea since it's cheaper to build for that than building him for his admittedly more effective style but uh we'll get to that his first power is at axias sure axis Javelin benefiting steinx's Simplicity tapping this button has him tossed out a spear with slight homing capabilities to impale some poor schmuck into the ground or walls and if it succeeds the sphere spawns a Vortex to draw in other nearby Schmucks though there's some crucial wording there the vortex only spawns if the javelin succeeds in hitting the target it's pretty unheard of for cc powers to have an activation condition outside of the players slamming their face onto the button but to be honest I don't mind it for reasons we'll get into later the steinx is able to spam his abilities like hell they are eventually going to hit something with it anyways and this thing this thing good at mob Gathering but to give you an idea this is larva I've been bringing up larva a lot in train videos lately haven't I has a base range of 12 meters gyre's coil Horizon has the same range as well the style Nexus though is 15 meters which doesn't sound like a big increase but keep in mind range mods are percentage Buffs so even with just two extra base meters this power gets more bang for its buck when it comes to those kind of mods oh and for some reason his one only costs 15 energy base so to recap in exchange for requiring that you hit an enemy with the spear you get a higher than average range for a vacuum CC as well as cutting the normal costs from 25 to 15. a 40 reduction in energy cost I would say that is more than fair and as always I went to the lab to figure out some more specifics about it and here's what I can document first there is a line of sight check for the AOE poll which is fair and to be expected but I figured I should make that clear just in case you were expecting a stethical at the moment or something second sometimes the Homing can be a bit wonky I've had Spears completely carve around targets and it seems like a lot of people have reported this as an issue it doesn't completely break its viability but it is certainly pee pee poo poo and of course this is one of those bugs where whenever you want to get footage of it you can't get it to appear but I mean Just One Look Around online and you'll see full backing me up on this so [ __ ] it but other than that this is one of those powers that functions more or less exactly as it appears on the surface so hey less editing time for me next up is thero strike and this is where we need to have a bit of a clarification talk class but first what do Pharaoh strike causes steinx to do a shield bash in front of him causing a Shockwave that does a variety of things to enemies from stripping their armor and shields to regenerating his health and even opening enemies to finishers it's a very versatile tool but it's visual is extremely confused as you can see on activation the steinx tosses out these projectiles yeah and if you would look at the wiki you would see that even on there these projectiles are considered a part of a functioning mechanic on the power but I'm not convinced these projectiles do anything so here's an experiment I got one enemy here and we're gonna toss out thorough strike first aiming one of the projectiles at him and then aiming into the floor to make said projectiles with because if you didn't know these are aimable so here's a bash where I aim one of them at the Target all right seems fine but now here I am at the same distance nine meters away looking into the floor I still hit him and also if you were distanced correctly you can clearly see that these projectiles can and will just face through enemies hell when you're in range you can activate there or strike while aiming in such a way that the enemy would be in between the gaps of the projectiles and they'll still get hit from this I concluded that thero strike doesn't shoot projectiles at all it is a simple cone scan in front of him with a visual effect giving the illusion he's tossing out some kind of bullet but he isn't and I mean if you still don't believe me how about the fact that snyness can hit enemies behind him with this power so not only is it a cone but its origin point is misplaced behind him instead of at his Center I'm not sure if that's a bug or not but it's pretty funny this is admittedly a very confusing effect and I don't blame anyone for thinking that you actually have to hit enemies with these projectiles but just rest assured you don't have to the power is basically just an invisible cone in front of steinx and a damn girthy one at that besides that weirdness though it does what it says on the tin and like is one it's just a very good power so yeah much luck is one there's not much baggage to shift through next up is Rally points and this is my personal favorite of his powers rally points is a self buff that like thorough strike is extremely versatile at first it increases his aggro generation meaning enemies are more likely to Target him second he and his allies gain energy regeneration and third any kill or assisted Kill by allies under the effects of this buff Grant both them and steinx himself Shields including overshields and this buff lasts a whopping 30 seconds at base this is one of the best Buffs in the game and I will not be taking any arguments thank you 1984 1984. so I could be wrong on this but I'm pretty sure this power grants the most powerful energy regeneration buff period there are certainly others like Grendel's Feast buff but I mean just look at this remember how I said that steinx has the ability to just Spam his powers this is the reason why I also got curious and wanted to see just how strong the aggro generation on Rally Point was so I went out to go test aggro and Warframe works on a priority system so things like defense targets usually have a higher aggro priority than that of players and thus enemies are more likely to be drawn to and attack it but certain things do have higher aggro priority than even a defense node does both Loki's decoy and sarin's malt are classic examples of this but for something like rally points I was expecting it to put steinx's aggro generation somewhere above normal player aggro but still below defense Target aggro because I mean it's it's not a dedicated decoy power its main draw is the energy regeneration and shield buff so so I figured D wouldn't give it decoy levels of aggro just to balance it out I was wrong so check this out everyone is hard focused on the defense objective like you would expect these guys would only attack me if I got too close under normal circumstances but the moment I flip Rally Point on and make myself visible to their sight lines they no longer care about the defense Target that is pretty damn funny this means that Rally Point gives steinx an aggro priority on a similar level to that of decoy s Powers if rally is on and you're in view of an enemy as long as they're not straight up against the defense targets they won't try to shoot it I wasn't expecting that result and honestly I think that it is hilarious that steinx is simply existing can be considered CC so with that Revelation under our belt yeah rally points is uh extremely good for what it offers it helps that the duration is so [ __ ] long too hey hey do you um do you like bleed procs oh uh you do [Music] [Applause] uh so final stand this puts steinx into a locked state in which he throws countless javelins at wherever you aim each Javelin has an explosive range of 6 meters and each Javelin has a 100 chance of procking a bleed and if the last clip didn't make it obvious enough you could throw a lot of javelins and in case you are curious the way the game handles adding additional javelins to the ability is by lengthening the animation so the more duration you have the longer you can stay in his four not that it matters that much because with how much energy you can regenerate you just [ __ ] recast It Anyways the final stand can cover a lot of space and it shreds just about anything it comes into contact with with or without armor but besides that once again there really isn't that many hidden intricacies it just sharks out a million death Spears and I was going to end the video here but I don't know it felt weird not having more to talk about so instead I'll leave you with some personal opinion occurs on how to build him so mice that priority is as follows strength duration range and finally efficiency here's why strike the duration I almost considered an equal priority at first but now I think strength is slightly more important than the latter just because it affects more of his kids strength is needed to reach 100 strip on Theros it determines the base damage of Final Stand and thus the potency of the slash Brocks and most importantly it dictates how much energy regeneration you get from rally points as well as how many Shields you get per kill whilst Rally Point is up duration on the other hand whilst you should absolutely not skip out on it only really really matters much for his Force duration rallypoint already has a 30 second base duration two is an instance power and as one Vortex lasts such a small amount of time some people might prefer a little bit more duration over strength I personally would prefer to be able to spam four more than to have each individual 4 last slightly longer as for range it's not terribly important mainly a two swamp thorough strike but other than that you can do without though I wouldn't recommend going into negatives here try to stay at 100 or maybe a bit higher if you can now with efficiency it is a completely different story honestly I just go into negative efficiency because of how [ __ ] well he handles his energy not only is half his kit cheap as hell to use but Rally Point gives him some of the best energy management in the game and better yet the final stand isn't a channel power so he regenerates energy in the middle of the animation and trust me if you invest in strength enough you will not be needing efficiency double so if you run Arcane energize or hell [ __ ] it put grindel's Feast over his one and stack energy Buffs because why the [ __ ] not and that's steinx for a milestone frame he is one hell of a package this is the kind of frame that you pick up when you don't want to think about their inner workings too much you equip them Press buttons and watch funny numbers do funny things he's simple effective and a great callback to the yieldy days where we all thought super jump was a good idea for an ability though if I had to change something about him please get rid of his
