Visiting Japan's Fake Costco E.51

previously on Tokyo zebra which one is your favorite favorite whoa hey sorry I have all of it in your head you should be standing are they sleeping good afternoon everyone and today is going to be a special day well I don't know maybe special such full or us we want to go to this place we recently found online actually Michael found it basically it is a Costco that is not a Costco like a fake Costco I know Costco comes in those like really big boxes of like 50 million items um I think this place has like broken it down and so you can buy like individual packages at least that's what Michael tells me it is in shimokitazawa which is not too far from Shibuya station it's just uh one line so anyways that's what we're going to be doing today oh you want me to do this okay but that's at the end and hit that subscribe button and the bell button and we'll catch you guys in the next one hey good job do you want to go to the park or do you want to go shopping you want to shopping yeah [Music] oh and just as usual it's gonna take us forever and a day to leave right now Wolfie's in the stage where he wants things in a specific way in order and if it doesn't happen in that exact way he can't move forward this is why we try not to pack our schedule when we're with him and usually Optical freestyle on our family outing days in a rush it can be super frustrating but when there's no schedule it's quite enjoyable to see him Express his feelings and grow into this new little person foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] apparently this area is called Nancy plus a new shopping facility opened recently you can just like buy a bottle and chill here it's so cool yeah yeah okay so we were on our way to the Costco but Whoopi wanted to come down here and listen to this guy this kid he's really good and Wolfie is just loving it so much that he doesn't want to go so I guess we're just gonna sit here for a while and just enjoy the day [Music] I feel like they've just renovated this entire area and there's more kind of chill spots to sit to drink to have a coffee to have some cake get chill with friends man it's really nice [Music] I think he was copying to wipe the glasses boobies this is also a new spot mikon perfect for a weekend stroll in fact shimokitazawa has developed so much in the past few years with so many new spots and restaurants if you've followed our journey from the beginning this is actually one of the places we looked at when moving just before Wolfie was born obviously it didn't happen but it's always nice to check out all the new things popping up in this area too [Applause] share movie [Music] okay so this place um I think it's been around we just haven't been here to decide ready it's really good his nose that has that strawberry taste right it's a strawberry beer that's pretty good um [Music] look how much fun Moby's having seeing him happy like this is always a reminder for us to slow down and spend more family time together you all know by now that Mike and I pretty much work every day one way or another and it often gets even too busy to plan these small outings but if you're seeing a video on this channel then it probably means that our schedule has a little bit of room to make a family video [Music] it's good [Music] it took us forever to get here but we're finally here at stockmart AKA fake Costco I was talking about [Music] hey and he bumped into our friend Aya you might have seen her in our Thanksgiving Video so I think the shop is pretty cool and the idea is awesome especially for people living in Tokyo who don't have a car to get to Costco personally though I enjoy the Costco warehouse experience and seeing the wide range of products nonetheless this shop is as close to Costco as you're gonna get in the city and it offers some of the more popular items so if they have the stuff you're looking for you might as well go here and save yourself some time seeing if they have quite a bit of selection I mean they don't have everything obviously but it is pretty cool that they do have some Costco stuff that you normally can get in a Japanese supermarket [Music] [Applause] [Music] let's go [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so we just finished the supermarket we got a few things but we're right next to this place you might have seen this before this is where actual Naruto works right by the station where we had the Matsuri so we're gonna go up and say hello maybe we'll eat or grab a drink or something just uh chill for a little bit [Music] I don't know how are you doing today are you the beer master all right so that's our trip to the local Costco here in shimokitazawa in Tokyo if you guys like this video help us out and hit that like button if you guys want to see more videos like this or anything related to our family hit that subscribe button and the bell button and we'll catch you guys in the next one almost [Music] um
