Vault Hunters 3 Modpack (12) Livestream 28/07/23

foreign [Music] and welcome back to another live stream here on the twitch.the TV slash the assumer playing on ball Hunters today oh what's good what's going on here there's there's like stuff things have happened there are changes I had some time I had some time to uh to play on here and I kind of laid out a little bit of a floor plan for various spots and things to do in our base right and then I built up this little area here just having fun with it and as you're gonna see we've got fishies flapping around on the floor dude this pick is really close to breaking just saying so we head back over here you're gonna see that all of the previous area is like mostly cleared out oh we're gonna open that today we're going to open that today all that's left behind is junk uh Jules armor villagers Jewels again some of my gear and then armor I've moved everything else it was crazy I had to load up this backpack over and over again and uh take trips one of the things that helped me is I put another upgrade into the backpack if we just have a look you'll see there's two of these hold 16 stacks of each item so I was able to shift like a large amount of items over here at a time very cool this is our new storage room storage area uh-huh thank you for the bananas in chat and avoid wolf at May school and sound wave hope letting me know that we are indeed live your averax is here really looks like the normal one um right let's talk about the layout then so I grouped together things that I felt like you'd be commonly using together so those things are down there although in in theory you could probably just have like one area of all your tool stations but I kind of want to split it up and try and have a bit of fun so I did this bunch of decorating and discovered something interesting this pedestal connects to our storage Network because I've run a line over here so we have two access points at the moment and we've got some gifted Subs coming in I can actually grab that for here from here but I thought I would do an experiment just to check this like isn't going to go wrong I need like a unique item and I've probably already got tropical fish in here right so let's go ahead and put one on the pedestal now when I go here for a tropical fish yoink it seems to work so we might end up hooking up our pedestals to our storage Network interesting little discovery uh and do all various things like like today right which one should we go for my pick is really low I can't really do a mining run again so I think I'll avoid mining for one run and try my best to complete the Vault so if we get elixir pretty straightforward if we get a scavenger hunt it's really going to be a Race So that would make the challenge really quite interesting now um up here is where we go into our portal feels to me like this would be a good spot in which to grab our our stuff that we we do before we go in right so this platform probably needs to be a little bit bigger I like the idea of it having a bit of an overhang here and we'll probably end up making the shape rather organic not too uh obvious how it's laid out then there'll probably be some interesting details added with time these lanterns being something that I've decided need to be placed there should have more of those yep because I've been collecting them from the vaults so if we go grab our other chest we'll plop it down over here now I could have swore I picked out one of those but no apparently it took a whole lot still have two repairs says based oh yeah right okay kind of new to that part of the game this one I think can probably manage one more run okay well the next run will be rather interesting I guess um so yeah this gets to come with us now uh-huh and as for everything else might grab that Shield if I no I think we've got a better one than that I'm Gonna Leave it behind we'll have other Shields before long still got a little farming set up that needs to be moved as you can see some things have somewhat lagged behind to be expected really yeah we're not going to do a mining Rob we'll see if we can get this thing through our next run without that and then you know then we'll repair some gear and see where we get so I don't actually I do kind of know what this area is going to be because it's going to be made out of tough blocks and then there'll be that should probably be like on a on a pedestal on a on a thing by the way we're using another dark UI mod and uh this one's I think a little darker than the last with some of the buttons but it seems to be more consistent overall so going going with this one for the time being I think what we want it's called a pillar there's a pillar block right just want a dark one like that a withered one that one's locked behind a mod [Music] these other ones are probably materials that I don't even know how to get you throw Granite into a nether portal and it turns into Onyx I have to try that oh yeah we don't have another portal up here right so [Music] we're gonna need a new portal as well [Music] one over there maybe one over here somewhere oh yeah there's like a little there's a walkway down there I don't know what's going to go in that spot [Music] um hmm [Music] is that a really where I want to put it right now so maybe we won't try and make that decision maybe I'll put that on my to-do list which I have not opened we need to get we need to keep some notes here so The Vault Hunters to-do list is currently empty you see so the nether portal will be a part of it just bring the repair calls with you says unknown the repair calls were already over here they're in my storage system oh yeah so I only have 33 oh my magnet might complicate things here oh the magnet's running low too go for and pick it up ice cream Emperor thank you for the nice words about the base you can't repair inside a vault right I have no idea there you go we've got some onyx or can you says red Levy I wouldn't know why is there not a mod that lets you edit the UI says it quave TV probably because it doesn't make sense to make that a mod [Music] like like that's gonna that's gonna introduce an enormous amount of complications if you're mod is about editing the game's UI or maybe not I don't know this sounds like an odd one [Music] okay so I wanted that one block and I might use some of those another time [Music] right um so yeah we would have these things in here as well as that I feel like there is stuff missing from this oh yeah and then we got all of this to open before we go in we'd put things like our wings in you can repair in a vault you just need an anvil and a repair core Oh wrong wrong thing a repair call or something we could bring with us I've been I I asked a bunch of questions about this void thing and I didn't get like clear answers but it feels to me like we could potentially store things in here like what's the likelihood of getting a stack of repair cores then again if they don't stack they would get the lead so it's a bit of a weird one but yeah we can bring that in with us there's usually uh we usually find ornate things right that have uh have all that have anvils in them God you know you're talking and then all of a sudden your brain just like is like I'm slowing down right now you know I'm chilling out you can Blacklist items from being voided if you wanted to says legendary Lords ah there you go there is a way okay so unless that thing had copiously we're going to stick with what we got free health is pretty good uh probably worth rolling if I understand the the suffix on that one that's also a shield that would be switching back to Thorns instead of going with the block chance which is it is lower I guess I guess you want to find out what that suffix is now can I remember see it's not this area I think it's that area down there by the way I haven't sipped my hot decaf yet [Music] block chances three percent low though yeah maybe maybe it isn't that good let's see what the suffix is Lord Raven says uh copiously isn't really good at your current level so you don't really need to stick to it too much okay we'll see we'll see I don't have my focuses over here I feel like I feel like those ones might get moved maybe I'll put them like in a gap somewhere over here it does make sense to keep them closer together right like I wanted them spaced out but yeah not in a crazy way I think something else will go in the middle here maybe this is where we put another ball so yeah were those things in there uh this one I'll then you need add a new random modifier reforge or prefixes and suffixes we've got to experiment with that one a little bit more anyway so if I do that slowness Cloud when hit doesn't seem that much better does it because stick with what we got then we've got a helmet ah and the helmet is something we need to replace this one has 10 armor but then no increased health or attack damage so let's go roll the suffix on this crease stability pack that's that's like really not that good that was close but not good enough I'd say I'll have to get lucky with another roll difficulty casual difficulty I'm here to learn the pack and just have fun I'm not trying to uh impress anyone [Music] just want to have a good experience okay then that was like that was a chest plate and now it just says magnet watch that's really weird anyway oh and now we're now we've got like three which one's this uh now it's comparing it to my lighter because I don't have some point at some point I've lost track of where my chest plate is and I'm gonna guess it's in here yep Vault chest plate oh and it said nope yeah that one's epic with that increased attack damage there's no compete in here yeah now that is that is better armor critical hit resistance would go down uh health 10 cooldown reduction that sounds pretty pretty awesome but that increased increased cooldown so increased attack damage let's just go to our Bonnet those boots are really good should we try the boots then because I think that cooldown thing is uh pretty good [Music] right uh then let's see we'll put that gear into here the ones we're not really messing with at the moment we're gonna swap that out probably gonna try and fly off again in a second oh we got one more thing to roll leggings I do want to take that in with us considering we're probably gonna focus on grabbing a lot of items maybe we'll try it or maybe you want it to stack with something like this all right 25 living chest 25 wooden what if we can get an ornate I only be a bit of a pain to uh to go out there and grab it just kind of reminding me we've definitely seen that inside of a vault so it's it's kind of a nod a reminder to uh do things a little different than compared to now and so I think a part of me like has this really strong Drive to want to like create and build and see it in front of me and music actually isn't like that it's it's more of a like a a place to go to uh a nice thing to do okay I should probably Focus for a second because we're gonna come here we're gonna do this oh my God two I mean straight away they're on me and then I'm out but I probably want more than 32 right that that was a lot of beams on me all of a sudden right we've got this uh increased cooldown which is awesome like 10 faster which I like so give that a try let's do that see what's down here shall we yeah how much time we've got nine minutes I feel like I feel like not getting two in a row has me a bit spooked maybe we do need to focus a little bit more on just getting around the rooms again and I'm gonna say I don't think there's one here okay and now I'm gonna grab that good good good oh oh you're getting too close oh gilded that's our first first gilded uh shouldn't there be like one more usually there's one more hidden behind a trapdoor oh maybe not a couple of dingalings so that's it right this room I'm gonna say doesn't have it now I think I actually need to start heading back don't I because East is home I never marked the entrance I don't think they did for the last couple of rooms anyway that's fine because we know our way back we're gonna go North and then we're gonna go east I was just thinking I've also got a Traverse all the way back after getting the monoliths right oh there isn't one out in the open it seems hey that's nice oh and a pylon I want to see if there's anything interesting down here I'm not sure that there is no it's all wooden isn't it all right we're doing the off we're going to the Next Room so I have to head east to get home thus we now Traverse in this direction we are cutting it fine look seven minutes so it's really about moving around hmm where to go here this one's like super out on open it strikes me as a room where you'd probably see it sooner than later might skip this room actually unless it's in the top area we've got an easy way to go up let's give it a try no this looks pants doesn't it yeah I think we're gonna back out of this room and try the next one uh East is home next room says crazy cheesy that's what I was thinking go to the Next Room hi fellas hi do I see it no sense uh because can't use them now I'm always told to put the jewels away manually I mean our storage system is chaos and we'll probably remain as such but I'll put them in there throw these suckers and let's check this backpack can't remember if anything else we want to use goes into these I think yeah it's those things we want to open okay right more armor uh increase the attack damage is a pretty strong one but we'll be sacrificing a little bit of Health more armor but then plus eight armor doesn't have an empty suffix I don't think I don't think that's really going to stack up I think those are pretty pretty common let's put them up here for now right now I do plan on sort of going straight back into another Vault but I was thinking what are our objectives and learning is one of those objectives the skill altar I seem to recall deciding to like not keep going down the rabbit hole I don't think ah no no look look we need black opals which we get from mining right so they put one for mining up here black opal or inside of the vote volts check out opal suppliers we need 12 of those so oh I happen to have 12. what would you know go on then let's make it happen right yes okay then so the chromatic Steel gonna need a lot of that I'm actually starting to remember some of this stuff now I think I compacted a lot of items when moving them over here so now you can see we've got a lot of this stuff compressed and that allows us to make three of those ingots very good so I guess we'll progress along with this glass pane red wool does it have to be Reds it would appear that I have some I have a glass pane then was the other stuff Essence if I remember right we now have a skill altered you know what I'm gonna do because we're going to add add things more and more right I'm gonna carve out a little space just here I originally wanted these things to poke out a lot more but uh as I as as we progress I don't know the way I've laid it out it kind of feels like you're gonna come back into these little spots so we'll have like a little thing here that will decorate and that's where those three are gonna go now so they're going to be much closer by let's just sort that out one two three and a bunch of items and guess what I forgot to disable this there's our one there's our two there's our three and then uh for focuses I'll have to do all that in a second I'm gonna put these Closer by so they're gonna be like here now but I don't know what the skill alter does yet okay um multiple builds just like the Wardrobe allows for storing gear the skill alter allows for storing abilities and talents yes interact with a skill alter is the objective so think yeah my wardrobe is going to be over here so the skill altar is going to be a part of that now it wants me to interact with it and I'm not sure what more I can oh maybe that was just a little bit of lag all right I thought it was creepers man interesting so it's like a page for this yeah we'll have to come back to that I I think that's like like this guy said for changing your builds maybe something that becomes more apparent as we get further into the game and understand like the depths of it and stuff so quests uh we'll take the orbs of regret transmogification table allows you to trans MOG gear pieces to any unlocked transmog you have acquired place a gear piece and some bronze to begin viewing transmogs right I know what this is because I recently played uh Diablo which had this that looks nice and pleasant I I've been seeing enchanting tables in the vaults and meaning to pick them up looks like I got one Driftwood Essence and then we've got the other stuff was it more than one Whatever uh do that sorry wrong bit so I think for now that makes sense for that to go in the same area but maybe it could go over here I'm gonna put it over in this spot though there was a secret place what huh it's the voices in my head again they're back says if you have hostile mobs in kajarium they can produce their vanilla mob drops into a chest cool um so do I have to put a bit of armor on there like let's see what happens ah you just get to put the armor in add the bronze transmog it like directly so I could make all of my my stuff the same look if I wanted to interesting but you have to unlock it first so it seems to have remembered what I've got I don't recall getting fire boots apparently torch leggings I've got so there yeah undiscovered maybe they're the fire boots so lots more gear to be unlocked but this can help us create like a real uniform look and I've had lots of chest plates a torched chest plate cheese I don't know when we found that one I seem to remember someone saying that the torch transmog was a lot of fun so that's something we can use our Volk bronze for I think I need to repair that with a repair call but now though uh maybe we'll do one more oh and the bronze look it gave me some bronze so if I wanted to I could do that right now 30 very cheap very fair ly any plans on going back to Diablo X are you going to wait for season five when blizzard finally decides to get around to fixing it I don't know what they're supposed to fix and I don't know what season five is um but I'm done with Diablo I played the story and it feels like all that's left is just that you know brined Loop that I'm not interested in I'm now I'm now you know interested in Vault hunters and later on we're gonna do City skylines too when it comes out those are kind of where the games are at for me right now um let's check it out seals and crystals seals can be used to specify the Vault objects on a volt Crystal oh there are multiple types of seals ranging from objectives that can roll randomly in volts to objectives that are special and can only be rolled by applying a seal that sounds like fun seal of oh yes the Seal of the architect I remember we did the cake room thing I think it's similar to that isn't it apply a seal of the architect to a vault Crystal I think I think we know we we did that and we used one of the blocks to do it or something what was that thing called again it was like probably a vault in the name [Music] oh a blank crates 20 plus and living chests 30 plus these can be applied to a crystal that contains the Seal of the architect and we'll add specific traits or rooms to the crystal completion is the site is a mechanic that decides how complete the vault is at 50 completion The Vault will have 50 of its blocks turned into volt bedrock this includes things like oars and chests too the time self-explanatory instability the chance that the crystal will roll on instability roll and potentially cause a curse or cause the crystal to become a modifiable interesting inscriptions hey let's check it out nope we don't have one yet why did it say we get them completion crates 20 plus and living chests 30 plus if that's referring to my levels we've probably not picked up too many completion crates and therefore maybe we just have not come across one doesn't look terribly familiar you can also craft them okay no no uh I think I might have gotten inscription pieces before wait no I can't craft them right that's there's no crafting recipe for them check my living bag let's see living Bee oh I have one I must have just got that interesting so that would add nine percent to that so this is like this is Vault Stone like what's the coolest Vault related blocks that we could put there we've seen so many fancy textures there's got to be something really cool that we could frame around our portal that I haven't used yet like I got some Sunstone that looks kind of interesting probably doesn't mesh with what we already got chat I'm always if you know some cool things you can also Place Vault bronze silver and gold on the floor for decoration I've actually done a little that already that was draws you put away yes I put them in here because we're not using them [Music] gelatin doesn't appear to you're getting at then we have a diamond pick with that can I use that in the vault can I mine it with a diamond pick because we could get that okay we've been playing around with Carpenter mod yet now that's a building Rabbit Hole huh no I haven't touched that one much Decor blocks a bit out of season but gingerbread I don't know about that oh that's not well uh hmm that's probably a bit of a pain to do it's not terrible actually we have farms for those okay yeah maybe that is doable but it doesn't look very nice I'm thinking I know something that screams portal right any other suggestions chromatic iron blocks now you're thinking let's actually just look at Vault Hunters for a second actually can I do Vault and then type block yeah there you go how the Meat Block that one looks amazing that's the most expensive of all bamboo and I don't think that fits the theme of the base that that's another important Point like we are going for a bit of a dark and grizzly so there's going to be some skeleton white some you know nefarious dark colors and then the tough is kind of in between but the portal I really feel like it could stand out um cyan is probably a good color to throw down because of those eyes it will match that put volt Stone in the cutter and see what you get fault Stone you can't cut that into anything Old Stone [Music] polished fault Stone I think I've tried both but I definitely know I've tried the regular Cobble oh yeah no it doesn't what are we on about [Music] darker blocks instead of netherite and magma blocks hmm [Music] I've got Nether Bricks I don't fancy a trip back to get more of those maybe we don't rush it maybe we just wait until we see a material in our next Vault either way the platform here is going to be made out of this stuff so [Music] oh and now I need some more of that sun metal Sun metal sounds like a sub genre right it's just building cool cool well then if we just pop up to here it's gonna work with these lanterns gorgeously it's gonna pop out nicely over here in the corner I also I think I want to use not the default texture maybe like that one's okay this one's kind of Awesome like if we have a bunch of those up to here it's definitely going to stand out I like it very nice texture oh they drop down plop that back up there see those two fit together extremely well and doesn't that just like I love the way that pops out actually these textures are I think a little uh heavy on [Music] but I think contrast is the right term but just sort of the difference between the light and the dark it really gives it a bit of like almost plasticness that's what I'm kind of picking up on here with this texture foreign [Music] saturation is uh the the like it's hard to describe it without saying saturation saturation is like the colors intensity so the stronger the color is because you can add blue right but you can imagine like not a light blue but a blue that is like let's say more faint this is probably a relatively strongly strongly saturated block but it's not the saturation I'm getting at it's just the way the texture is put together what is that the sun metal nub I'm gonna find out all about that now [Music] okay and then I think I want to build a floor as well so [Music] floor will come out a little bit oh I think I like that more yeah I I can point out what the problem with this texture is as well like look at how many Blobs of the same color there are and then compare those two Minecraft textures and the dis the difference between the different shades here are not as Grand and the blobs are smaller so like that's that's the way in which the texturing makes it feel different the approach is different like here again like a large sloth of that color you know um if the whole game were done with those sort of textures it would fit in but for those reasons it looks different I just realized we've also got to do this and this is where I feel like something like glowstone needs to go oh and then I had the sun metal bars they're gonna go out the front this is nice I I've noticed the building um like sometimes you get a little bit of building fatigue I think it's really good just to like Channel your effort into something like small and straightforward rather than like try and do everything all at once so we've like caught a whiff of something good here is how I describe it I don't know if that's enough glowstone oh and then I I'm just an idiot who automatically puts it back into the storage Network apparently let's go up to here oh [Music] is 18 enough oh my word that has to do that okay so now on the inside we're gonna put in some of these softer blocks they're not too many and then do these uh just trying to just trying to keep keep it like feeling a little balanced I think there you go got a little platform it is definitely on the small side then income these they definitely fit here and add up to what we're doing [Music] also kind of wondering if uh oops not like that it could come over the edge a little bit maybe play a role vertical down not with that bit like that it won't yeah now now you see we also need structure down below because we're going to have a room down here and then the roof here will interact with this space when we get to it so and I think I don't think this thing really actually has much of a role to play in that direction break it up um so we do that and then put in these then a little bit of that there uh we're missing a plate block here now or maybe two but I think that's going to bring us to making that look super duper cool yeah I think that kind of works just about definitely going to need to work on these transitions a little bit and then those items I don't know where that's going to end up and what we're feel like it probably makes sense just to have this be made out of those same blocks going up to there these are like calcite related and something else to oh no it's all calcite that'd be all I've of wait for better gear but this time I think we'll give it a try so we want that thing and I believe what we want to do is reforge all prefixes and suffixes we don't want to remove a random one so we should keep our durability attack speed and attack damage if I've understood everything correctly healing cloud and soul chance with an empty prefix which I think we can add so that would that would add it if I understood correctly so let me roll that one and it's illager damage okay re-roll Soul chance this one illager damage re-roll Undead damage anthropod Soul chance never damage oh yes let's put something extra on it free of charge Soul chance well there's a replacement for our current sword then isn't there we got two chaining what are we sacrificing never damage uh attack range uh so the shocking hit chance might come in a little bit we did it peeps we got a better sword it needs to be in China thank you for the ggs in the chat that is awesome we got to do the enchanting which is
