Uwharrie Gold Prospecting Flood Gold Panning and Sluicing with Big Sluice. part 1

all right back at uhari it's been a while uh kind of excited got a lot of rain so hopefully get some flood gold water comes right down here normally it just goes this way but when it floods it comes over this whole area wraps around down here these two areas come together there's a pool in there where things drop out which is good and sometimes it floods over here where I'm sanding all right so sometimes water instead of just curling around there's a lot of it it com right across here and you can see all this is now like dirt area so all the leaves have been washed off drops off over here where we found some stuff before too so what I'm going to try is also somewhere over here they were here last year and I set some long long rocks here big ones you can see it right there it has one of them and there should be some more up in here so it acts as a natural slle here and as the water goes over it stuff to fall out behind them hopefully looks like some of them might have got moved thought I had another one there oh well give a shot see what happens all right did a leaf test dropped out here some clay not too gritty though so I'm not expecting much here so might just be one test and then moving on the shovel is I just took out a little spot it was packet clay um a lot of work got a little flake of gold and that was it so I'm going to try and move on somewhere hope we find some looser dirt or some more grally clay I'm going try where those uh rocks up here like a s what happens so that's where it wouldn't be where I showed you before that's where a little pool is i' dug before and this is some of the long rocks that I set up here soort of act as like a SLO I'm digging Earth behind them now it kind of set them up as a wall to block some little water but it's rushing through pretty good here I'm punching down in there and see what it come up with all right so here's some of the material I just pulled out that hole um dirt wash is pretty loose not too much clay but there's Clay on the Rocks here a little bit as you can see right there going to wash these rocks now so I need two hands all right so there we go right there nice piece of gold just found that there's a tree over there in the middle of the water and there were some rocks around the roots of it I moved some rocks and just did a one shovel scoop right here just to do a test pan that's a nice little flake of gold just as a test pan so I'm going to scoop some more out there sift it out and then uh I'll run it through the S at the rest of the stuff right now I to move down here because all keeps getting tangled up see she's going to go back down there she better to knock over my my bucket of [Applause] gold [Music] all right so looks like it's exchanging pretty good um some stuff still washing out but I'm just going to bucket it now cuz we're going to get ready and go get wait starting to get's starting to go down so put it in here there we go need to brush all the guess should have used a bigger bucket that up there for a minute get something to was that off with [Applause] [Applause] all right nice see going for the dog most important part here huh get the dog in [Applause] yeah all right so now I'm going to take this thing apart off lot of [Applause] pieces and bring everything home and do a clean up [Applause] out am I done yeah you can do it take it he didn't play off [Applause] L better later see he standing out but don't know [Applause] so this thing here I do these two screws it folds up into a small thing it fits into a little backpack like piece that I have here carry with me it's just a lot more clean up than those uh you know cuz it got the mats to deal with I'll be doing this in here them out but I'll probably do this later cuz takes a while to get all the stuff out of here we're probably going to do it a bigger bin little more room anyway that's all for now do the clean up later mhm thanks for watching bye bye
