Using ADVANCED ENGINEERING to solve a fishing problem!

so no one ask for this penguin you chap so the Beavers hate the cold they told me they couldn't cope the otics really cold I had no idea but there's engineering to do we can't just go to I penguins are here the Beav are oh de Penguins built a canoe it was actually a submarine penguins eat fond as well as other things yes hello fellow engineers and welcome back to the Penguins with a zed now since last time I did just sort of fast forward through the year so that we can hopefully reach that 1500 reputation by the end of the year with which looks like we've done and then our little village which I've renamed penguiner should now become a city now not a lot has happened there has been unfortunately we had a few deaths throughout the year so Braham naan risson gby Bean Susan and Bob the engineer they are all penguins that have not made it we also have a bit of a sickness bug going on so I think first things first I can see I've got no herbs no medicine but it doesn't matter because look penguiner has grown and reached the settlement level of City okay okay so we're currently 27th in the united penguin Kingdom we got a we got a long way to go if you want to get to the top and get that King position we need over 6,000 reputation we've only got 1,600 anyway we are into year three and we need to we need to try and fix the old sickness so down here I think can you see in there old ducas is in there trying to find some herbs at the bottom of the ocean and I think what we should probably do is maybe over this side build another one of those so herb collector we just shove it on the end like that and that should get built we should get some herbs uh something I I've been a bit cautious of we run out of plastic pretty much we've also run out of stone and I don't know how to gain those two materials perhaps actually in this science menu if we scroll down from Village into City yeah look here we go wood recycling station that turns garbage into wood oh and then after that it turns garbage into plastic okay so I think I need that one first so we'll unlock that and then I've got I got I got so much science so we can definitely do that one next to get plastic and then oh down here Ocean garbage collector increases production amount okay may as well oh I was going to say may as well do that I need a production badge how do I unlock a production badge I don't know but yeah in the resources we now have the plastic recycling station so if we build that I sort of want to leave the edge spaces don't I yeah we may need to build it over over this way with the schools uh trouble is there's no power over here so I will shove that there but then need to build another wind turbine to go in the middle up there like that oh look the news is here so if we head over to our news tower that means it's time for Penguin news a cold snap in the area has resulted in cold Penguins some say these are birds get it B bird bird bird there's a sickness sweeping the nation so we need to give these ill Penguins some medical treatment and finally a killer whale has attacked but the brave Penguins became Killers themselves saving the city for everyone tune in next time for more shove him as a herb collector and then maybe I can swap ducas for someone with more education and therefore more productivity oh no ducas was the most productive penguin we have okay but yeah basically we really really need some new herbs oh no look I can't build this win turine cuz look we need plastic we've only got six we need eight so my only choice is to delete stuff that used it so I guess since we got these two coolers next to each other maybe I can delete this one yeah look we get 16 plastic back okay I've done that I'm going to then High prioritize this wind turbine and then hopefully we can get someone in here we're just waiting for this wind turbine to be built yeah who's that who's that the great engineer KH can always count on him he's working through the sickness as well fair play to you single-handedly building that window turbine with with a comically oversized Hammer all right and then it's done which means we can get a beaver sorry we can get a penguin in here heads the kick get in there and then they will turn garbage into the plastic and remember we can make garbage easily we've got this very very efficient looking machine over here this sifts out garbage from the ocean and look we've got 131 garbage so that's pretty good so now we now we're making plastic things are definitely looking up you can see number of sick Penguins also dropping we're down to eight I was going to say that's down to the good job of uh of of tesin the penguin in here but he's he's resting lazy that is anyway after a bit of a whipping he is back working getting some more herbs and yes sick penguins are dropping now view that was close and oh over here what's that the trolling dot we have no no penguins in there so better just assign workers so Simon LaVine and breus they will be getting us some Krill crew is our main source of food at the moment we do have fish I think fish is done by yeah these two guys but like I think everyone prefers fish to Krill hence we are struggling to actually get a decent supply of fish maybe that's something else I need to build like another another fishing dock to get some more fish anyway up over this way I built another one of these food stands so I think this is where penguins actually eat from so if I add someone in there oh yeah look the wanton dog fish that actually sounds like a food stand so we'll shove them in there then Penguins can eat we do already have one down this week you see Marco Lear in there serving serving the food on the menu well actually the only thing on the menu is CR so most of those need next through them yeah nice we've now reached a population by the way of 50 Penguins we got 20 kids 30 adults hence all of this housing in here there's so much housing actually a lot of it cool a lot of it's empty I probably went a bit too far on the adult housing I imagine all the yeah all the kids housing is filled up but yeah things are looking really good we're down to just one sick penguin as well so that's fantastic let's get back into the SES menu and see what else to do oh we probably do that straight away extra CR production so I think that just like doubles how much oh we can double all of these I got 1100 yeah I may as well do all of these so if we unlock all of those then anything we fish will get double the amount right I do need some other like production stuff ideally a way to get metal so what we got here we got a shelter which is a small H oh that that holds five Penguins rather than three okay that leads to the spear tow is working better a city h Center and they both lead to oh a stone housee oh look at the mating R in there and it holds eight Penguins as well so that's good next to it we have oh the ice Cannon tower that would be good defense but again needs metal Stone and wood we're not producing any of those materials at the moment all right tell you what let's go for this Trade Center cuz that allows me to sell and purchase material that could be useful so yes please unlock that we can then build a trade center now it just has to be in electrical range so I guess let's build a up this way by the schools so high prioritize that was it need snow blocks garbage and wood I've got enough of all of those so that's good well actually in this Library I wouldn't mind trying to get a a penguin's like 100% education like look at feebe and kid like they're productivity is huge maybe I should move them out of there now like we're still clearly slacking on herbs yeah tell you what ducas you're fired I'm going to stop BB from working in the library and she's got 80% education oh should I just keep her going actually I want someone with 100% education before they die but like double the efficiency of ducas now we need we need the herbs we're back up to seven sick Penguins so I'm sorry Phoebe has nicked duc's job there to be fair ducas he's only one he's 50% educated let's get him as the most educated penguin you've ever seen all right you can see education levels are flying now that is good oh and also look up here today in the newcomer ramp there should be new Penguins arrived two new penguins are coming in .8 months okay so at the end of March we have to keep an keep an eye out I actually want to see if Penguins do actually slide up this slide I've been trying to trying to catch it for ages I keep missing it oh no scientist Nate died of old age how old was I feel like penguins don't live very long like compared to Beavers I thought they'd live way longer to be fair all right anyway the Trade Center is finally being built good old coloras soona hammering away down there and then here we go this will allow us to trade so we need to add a penguin Danny get in there and then trade options bar purchase sell oh do I have to unlock okay I need to unlock buying from the from the science menu so Transfer Center send oh buy down there I need 800 science to get to it and I can't afford it oh that's annoying what's this by the way exploration center produces exploration points to reach other settlements and new lands ooh so we may need one of them I think let's do the transfer center for now though try and save up 400 to get the purchase just so I can get those materials I need right apparently cell is still locked what how does this thing work I don't know how it works I just want to buy some resources that I can't produce anyway let's shove the wood recycling station next to the plastic one cuz if you look down here that is our next task so we got to build that and then produce six wood we actually get like loads and loads of resources if we complete this we got a 3mon time limit so we'll we'll try and prioritize that meanwhile down here at the newcomer ramp you can see penguins are due to arrive very very soon so I'm not going to miss it this time so I'm literally just going to stay looking at this thing and hopefully we'll see Penguins slide up the slide and that's how they join our lovely city like something you were destined for currently under attack by Seals we do have quite a lot of turrets down this way this is where our food is stored hence why there's so many turrets up this and I don't think they're going to get close now look they're getting they're getting annihilated beautiful a penguin just took one to the knee there but ignore that now we finally have enough herbs so that our penguins are no longer sick I might actually swap Phoebe I feel like you're a bit too productive in that let's put I don't know just PL down in there and then I'm thinking for you Tony C is very unproductive at making science so if we put Phoebe as a science maker that's like a three or four times productivity increase so that's pretty good means we'll get way more science which means we can unlock some of this stuff I might actually get the exploration center as I have the points so yeah we'll unlock that then exploration center this has to be built on the edge so if we build this down there that's pretty good oh we are slacking is that plastic yeah we're slacking on the plastic no look seals again the seals are attacking come on take this one down take this one down the Penguin's running away right yeah we're lacking on the plastic but I'm pretty sure someone's over here making plastic right yeah head and the kick oh I just realized what I unlocked there it's the transfer center send it's not the Trade Center cell this is our Transfer Center we can send Penguins oh we can we can shun some of these guys so if we send for example trigonometry we get extra reputation and some cash ooh that's tempting I wonder if we actually see them go off in the balloon as well right I'm sorry I'm very sorry one of you four is has got to go and the only way to do this the only like to delete that building and swap it with like a yeah with a city hall probably and by the way after City Hall we have high school oh they educate child Penguins to 100% education Ah that's what we need then I think for now though I'm better off waiting until we get the the Trade Center purchase unlock cuz there's materials I can't make so I need to buy them and then we can look at the other stuff I reckon yeah come and get to work building the great engineer can tell you what look I can make him build faster yes look how fast he's building faster there we go all right and then down here we can send someone we can send them on an exploration task I reckon friendly honu would be a good idea for that cuz they'll be friendly to anyone that they see so I think they're going to go exploring and oh no kill a whale kill a whale get it get it throw the arrows there's only one turret in range and he's proper going a lob it over that building health bar not looking good this building is getting annihilated so yeah I think we're going to lose that building I can't believe this turret's like not in range right the whale has destroyed that they're disappearing somewhere I imagine they're not gone completely yeah look killer whale is leaving but will be back very soon so we lost our herb collector thankfully we do have 32 herbs no one's sick anymore still should probably build another one annoyingly this requires wood and metal to build which I am not producing so I got to be careful of that stuff I should probably think about as well like expanding how much does that cost to purchase 1,200 okay not there this one costs oh just 600 we've only got like 389 gold what does that one cost 250 we could buy that land what does that one over there cost 2,000 okay I don't know what else gold is used for so let's purchase that yes I'm sure we now own this land which means potentially we could get we could get our Penguins using the bridge finally see what can I build a road up to them and then a road across like that right I could just make this like a like a housing area or something or maybe should I make this like the sciencing area cuz we are we are slacking on the old science I think these cost Stone and metal yeah I really can't afford many of these so we'll build those two they're going to need electricity as well well oh no wind turbine costs oh I didn't realize buildings cost gold as well so I need 20 gold to do that oh no okay let's try and finish this if we can finish this then look we get like not only loads of metal Stone and Medicine we also get some gold so we just got to produce wood so it's this guy here Captain knob 69 despite your name you're not very good at this productivity 16% I tell you what I'm going to sack you I'm going to get Andrew in there 30% that's double double the wood production and oh and by the way look down here we have exploration menu this is from our friendly honu and there so oh look at this oh look all this stuff we can explore so this is currently our area yeah looks like we can go explore elsewhere I don't know what we actually get back in return it does look like we need more exploration points and some gold so we need at least 16 ideally 17 so I guess all eyes are on Andrew now come on mate we need those logs just two more logs so I'll fast forward watch the gears do their thing in fast motion oh but then we've just been given our annual support payment from the king so we have our 75 gold which means I can probably go build this wind turbine and then our task is complete as well so we got more gold more resources things are looking up particularly because we did just kill the killer whale and three new Penguins just joined us through the newcomer ramp man which means the penguin numbers are huge so we can see all of these all these penguins now I nearly call them beavers again I cannot help myself looks like we need some more schools actually we are yeah we're slacking on school cannot be having that let's get another school in and by the way I've just had a just had a task to build a city hall so maybe I should research that first yeah let's get it let's get it researched we can then oh we can then do a high school as well we'll do that then we'll build the city hall oh it looks like this doesn't need to this doesn't need power brilliant so let's shove that there we have a city hall and then high schools oh they need they need 60 Gold that's a lot of gold we will get some gold when when this silly Hall is done in the meantime though I'm just waiting for this wind turbine to be done so we can get some more resarch on the go oh look exploration menu we've got 18 points so should we go explore one of these areas shall I go to like that the highest one The Province the immense wish I don't know what these actually do but I imagine going to a province is better than going to a village I don't know let's go find out let's send our Explorer am I sure I don't know I really don't know what it does but only one way to find out the Explorer is on the way nice I wonder what we'll learn all right anyway a little bit more hammering later this wind turbine is in which means we can get some beavers like Daniel raor land we can get them on some research which is good oh look the submarines gone I hope honu is doing all right out that oh so a Trader has arrived at the Trade Center let's see the offer oh that's a balloon wa so our products we can sell like our snow block for 10 oh for two each and yeah whatever we whatever our value is we can then get that back oh yeah this is good we can gain Stone we can gain metal oh no what there per unit one stone is worth 40 that's a ripoff meate oh they're well expensive if I want 10 of those that's 1,000 value 1,000 that's like that's like everything I own I can't afford that five of each do I want to give away 130 snow blocks 40 garbage and 30 herbs for Five Stone and five metal no I don't think so that's an absolute ripoff mate do you want all right so that's floating away now what an absolute ripoff Merchant that was so basically that trade Center's pointless I tell you what then Danny you're fired then we'll go find you like a sensible job so let's shove two beavers and sorry two penguins in there and then yeah food food is getting a bit low I feel like let's build a couple more fishing docks I think that's sensible I'm going to demolish this Village Hall as well cuz it's got quite a lot of resources in it and so I think I think that could actually help me to be honest right anyway I really need to get some high schools built so we can get our education up the trouble is we got new gold I feel we don't really have any Builders I can I like get another building yeah Builders H I think it would be wise to build another one of those so let's Wang that there probably high prioritize that because it's so easy to build oh look exploration reports so we get a load of reputation points and then oh these like extra extra tasks with rewards yeah okay I don't think we're going to reach 80% happiness or 350 gold so ignore the bottom here top one 45% education could be possible if I get my new schools in also two penguins joined us from them oh decent so the explor is coming back with those two new Penguins I guess nice so we're definitely going to explore all of those we've then got like oh we can explore way further a field it seems but yeah for now I've prioritized the Builder Hub so that is getting built nice we can then assign these four guys to there and then we can build stuff way quicker cuz we are we're slacking we got to get this city hall done right so they're all in now there's the city hall nice that gets us a load of rewards anyway Builders are now building down there nice buildings are flying up now right then oh we're gaining science now so let's do the Trade Center purchase yes and then if we head over to the Trade Center we can change that to purchase rather than barter and then I guess when a balloon comes next time we can buy stuff rather than trade the trouble is I guess the I feel like the price is going to be an absolute ripoff again so we'll have to see how that works uh for now though I think I think that's a good place to leave this episode we've we've got our new land we'll start working on that
