hi there just wanted to make a quick update on what I've been doing the last few months uh if you've seen my channel I did some games in sfml in with C++ and uh for the longest time I've been busy with the college but it's summer break finally but in the meantime I uh I wanted to do something to get something done and uh I started learning Unity I already did some to tutorials I'm going to Showcase some of them uh this is a tutorial from game makers toolkit YouTube channel I think it's a flppy board copy this a simple flippy bir copy told me about the prefabs in unity and some of the logic need to uh do magic this I had learn a lot of new stuff then another tutorial from breis here I learned about scenes some uh position and velocity things and the UI UI stuff just two levels changing scenes and stuff like that and lastly platformer another to from brais uh I only managed to get get uh uh like the movement done and animations so for learn Sprites and animation and changing between animation States it was interesting but what I really wanted to do next was uh make a multiplayer game and uh I wanted to do this in with sfml uh so I tried to learn a bit of the networking stuff and uh it's kind of complicated so uh I was kind of not inclined program multiplayer game in C++ uh so I I wanted to learn to start learning mono game this is a c uh framework uh startu Val and celest if you've heard of them were made using mono game so you can get a lot of stuff done uh I made just a basic animation I copied like some of the stuff I already did in previous uh sfml projects with the components and an entity that has components it's just some simple uh Sprites going around in the window and hitting the border and bouncing off but I learned a lot of stuff and uh hopefully going forward I'm going to make a multiplayer game using C and mono game it will be something very very simple nothing crazy uh and on that thought I came back to the platformer project I did and I did some changes I added the game over scene that just uh uh shows a game over text and and uh some of the other stuff I changed was some of the tiles I'm going to Showcase in a bit um I added some invincibility frames when the player attacks uh here it loads the game over scene and uh here I had the return statement which when I attacked on the player it kind of bugged the the the Sprites so you couldn't uh so the Sprites of the Fireballs uh stopped uh animating and uh this is basically just as it was except I added just just as I said in invisibility frames I made the Heat box of the sword uh um larger and uh maybe if if you take a look back at the video I made on this platform you can see that when I attack on that video the the Fireballs uh freeze the the animation of the fireball freezes so I fixed that that in this update and also if you die you go to a game over scene and you press ask and you get out and that's basically what I did uh with the small part of my my time I was mostly busy with college and uh some of the reason I wanted to learn mono game in C is because I like did the whole semester mostly Java and it's so hard to go back to C++ and work with pointers and references but uh going forward I I would like to also maybe do some projects in unity and um trying to make a multiplayer game in C mon game just as as I said uh if you want any tutorials on something you can let me know in the comments and that's about this this that's about it for this quick update and thank you for watching
