hi brench yeah where Tech is Made Simple So currently in the stable version of Microsoft Edge to the bottom of the sidebar we have our sidebar button that lets you Auto hard the sidebar and then you can obviously enable the sidebar to be permanently displayed now this could all be set to change and as I posted previously Microsoft could be changing how you open the sidebar in Edge and that's because they've been testing a sidebar button on the toolbar instead of the co-pilot button that's found here to the top right of the toolbar now if we head over to Edge Canary version 123 this feature has finally rolled out in my region and I can now actually show you this in Edge Canary 123 which is the latest preview version so if we just quickly head up to our settings navigate to our sidebar page in settings and head over to co-pilot you will see now that if I toggle this off it gives me the option to restart my device and something else you'll take note of is that the sidebar button is not to the bottom of the sidebar like it currently is in the stable version so if I restart to apply this change and hide my co-pilot button you will see now that the sidebar button is now at the top where previously the blue co-pilot button was so now I can Auto hard my sidebar from the top and we can then display it permanently once again just by toggling on um the actual sidebar button now this at this stage I feeling kind of two ways about it um it's kind of duplicating something that's already there but I know a lot of you do not like the big co-pilot button here to the top right so this is a good alternative because obviously um if uh the co-pilot button is gone there's no way then to open the sidebar so you obviously then won't be able to get access to the sidebar buttons so I can see why Microsoft has placed that to the top but on the other side it still brings clutter to the toolbar which is very over cluttered currently especially if you have a lot of the features and the shortcuts turned on but nonetheless I think this is a good uh So-Cal um alternative if you don't want to see the co-pilot button displayed and you've just got the smaller sidebar button which Falls more in line with how the other buttons and shortcuts look like in the toolbar so this might be a nice option especially if you are more concerned about the way your browser looks and the actual user interface and then if you want to show copilot and put everything back to how it was we just restart there we go and we can see now that the co-pilot button is back and the same applies you can open up the sidebar behing over that and the same applies more or less how it is over in the stable version now it's hard to say at this stage if this will make it down to the stable version eventually but obviously I'll keep a close eye on this and if I see any other changes I'll post and let you guys know so thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one
