Understanding Prophecy - Pastor Paula White-Cain

okay I'm gonna let you be seated because I'm gonna take time to really teach you right now now you've got to remember Archbishop Duncan Williams has been doing this 37 years right I've been serving the Lord 30-something years pastor Edward praise hours and hours a day for a long time and the reason when he says it takes us an hour and then things begin to shift pastoring I'm smart enough to know not everyone is at a place to pray and shift into that place an hour so I'd rather you do what you can do then do what Archbishop is doing I'm doing or pastor Edward you have to start somewhere if your prayer life is built up to saying I can dedicate an hour in the morning in the noon time and an evening then do it if you can't fast three days in a row don't do it fast one mill for three days what I am asking if everyone will do something will break the cycle if everyone will do something will break the cycle okay so I'm not asking you don't ask your two-year-old to act like you're 20 year old amen so I'm not asking everybody to do the same level but I'm asking everybody to do something so you're with me Revelation chapter 19 verse 9 and 10 they don't even have these scriptures because this morning God just sort of laying stuff on me and it says that in in verse 10 for the testimony of Jesus because I'm going to explain to you prophecy and then I'm going to go into the word of the Lord for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy so what's the testimony of Jesus the spirit of prophecy the word testimony means the evidence or witness so in other words the essence of Jesus ministry was not only power but it was also prophecy so prophecy in the New Testament means to foretell or to tell fourth so you're telling fourth so jesus said I only do what my father does he only operates out of what was foretold so when a true prophet comes they shift you it's called revelatory ministry they shift you into the season that God has assigned for you it's called a Kairos moment it's where eternity invades in the earthly and you can bring the kingdom of God to pass in the earth today thy kingdom come Thy will be done in earth will is highest determination the decrees of God they be done nerd I'm going to show you the only way to bring that to pass is through when you have a prophetic word you've got to work it through the power of prayer because prayer is the vehicle that superimposes the kingdom of God to come to pass in this earth so jesus said I'm not just here for a for a ministry of power but he said my witness my testimony is to prophesy to shift in a new covenant to bring forth what God is doing in the earth so he came to give sight so much a prophecy has to do with seeing the future a prophet we know the office of it is an inspired seer Luke chapter 4 verse 18 and 19 study it it's the same spirit on you Jesus as the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor sent me to heal the brokenhearted to preach deliverance to the captives and here's the prophetic part and recovering of sight to the blind that's not talking about your your natural eyes just being open it means that what you've been veiled with you'll be able to see so I declare right now every veil over you is going to be lifted in the name of Jesus that God's given you eyes of the spirit to see Nathaniel we know in John chapter 1 verse 43 and 50 verse 48 is key he says he was a prophet he says how do you know me Nathanael asked jesus answered or jesus was saying as the Prophet to Nathaniel I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you remember in John 1:35 42 he brought him to Jesus and when Jesus beheld him he said thou art Simon the son of Jonah thou shall be called Cephas which is by interpretation a stone so prophecy takes you from where you are to where you're supposed to be it moves you into the prophetic promise it takes you from where from who you are to who you're destined to be it does not take the spirit of prophecy to see your faults it takes the spirit of prophecy to see your future so God begins to speak to you out of your destined state remember Gideon's a coward in the vine in the vineyards and he's sitting there shaking and God calls him this great man of Valor because God does not speak to you from where you are God speaks to you from who you are speaks to you by who you are spiritually so we have to learn to operate in the spirit of prophecy here's the perf purpose of prophecy it's not just given to foretell impending events as much as it's given to prepare the church and invoke a response which will effect the events so when you get a prophetic word it shows you what God is doing so we know that God has unleashed a new cycle which means I'm gonna show you the enemy wants to pull us back into an old cycle so it prepares us so when prophecy comes forth and you hear stuff like there's an assignment that the enemy has in your life to kill when you're 25 years old that will should never produce fear in you what that does is give you warning so that you are equipped to now begin to deal with the enemy effectively that you can override it overturn it that you can bring the plan of God to pass amen so so it always prophecy true prophetic word always produces faith it never produces fear it always produces faith can I go into the workings of how you secure it so we already know prophets or inspired men prophesy as a speaker sing by inspiration in prediction and simple disclosure and the Greek prophecy means a scriptural prediction it means in front of prior to from the Greek root word Femi or faming which means to show or make known one's thoughts it means preparation that's the purpose so when you prepare you make ready you equip you furnish you make ready by putting together the parts now you'll see something whenever I get under a preaching teaching anointing y'all don't mind me talking to you today right whenever I get under preaching teaching anointing I look over to my side here and I'll say catch it because what I'm telling the men of God is grab what I'm saying in my spirit and start activating and carrying it out spiritually so they can activate the troops no general can be effective without an army and so when I get in a prophetic because prophetic is not always the office of a prophet I'm going to show you how Moses prophesies and says we're gonna take the land God said take the land and how the people moved there was a season they didn't move and they missed it for 40 years God says don't have a repeat don't fail this thing again the second time they're gonna in it but I'm gonna show you how they secured it so let's get back in the word and go how do I secure the promises of God for my life how many of you know God has a promise how many of you received that word that old cycle is gonna be broken when he said financial cycles of the pastor gonna be broken y'all were like yeah how many of you really want it okay now pastor Paul is gonna teach you in 15 minutes how to get it first Timothy chapter 1 verse 18 and 19 look at this carefully this charge I committed to the son unto the son Timothy this is Paul speaking to Timothy according to the prophecies which went before on thee that thou by them might us war a good warfare holding faith in a good conscience which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck so he says by this charge Paul gave Timothy keys where he would secure the promises of God when God gives you prophetic insight you have to do your part to see it come to pass one of the biggest deceptions of the enemy is that when God speaks you can just sit back pastor Edward people will hear the word and they think that's the end of it and they just sit back the first thing you have to do when prophetic word comes because the devil does not have knowledge that God has children of God have more insight if they're tapped in through through the power prayer then the kingdom of darkness does the only way the enemy knows is once something is spoken once it goes into the atmosphere then he goes to work he has to work his army of darkness just like we have to work the kingdom of light so if you sit back and you don't secure your prophetic word you don't secure your promise and you think oh this just comes to pass then you start saying well why is all hell breaking loose when Timothy and Paul how many of you think Timothy and Paul were some powerful people in the Word of God come on you live by two thirds of the New Testament written by Paul so Paul saying hey Timothy my son he's one of his greatest sons he's saying when prophecy comes forth he said now you have got to go back to verse 18 watch what he says in verse 18 he says when the prophecies he said I charge you I'm commanding you I committed to thee my son Timothy according to prophesies which went before that thou mightest by war good warfare fight for the word that God just spoke over you so the thing that you're gonna have to do is immediately because this will be where your biggest out now the victory is already secured you don't have to worry about the victory it's always secured but you've got to fight anything what we call backlash that's gonna come against you come against this church come against the ministry to try to rock what God has already secured for you we break our old cycles in the name of Jesus that's why we were given keys if we sit back and go oh it's just gonna come to pass the cycle no we are gonna pray three times a week or three times a day we're gonna give $30 a day and we're gonna fast three times a week and the prophetic word is we break a cycle now if we don't do that and we think it's just gonna come to pass then then shame on us because we're gonna keep fighting the same devil but I believe there's a group of people that says we've got enough tenacity enough conviction enough perseverance that for our house for this ministry and for this land we're gonna break through in the name of Jesus somebody say I'm gonna break through in the name of Jesus so Satan doesn't know the purposes of God in life until it's revealed by prophecy immediately after it's revealed kingdom of darkness takes measures in the spirit realm to make sure that it never comes to pass that's why you hear us a talk a word called backlash no backlash therefore Paul said to Timothy you have to contend with the forces of darkness you have to defeat it second Corinthians chapter 10 verse 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they're mighty through the through God to the pulling down of strongholds look at your neighbors say don't be afraid to fight say say put your boxing gloves on and tell the devil you're serious about this one Isaiah chapter 5 verse 13 therefore my people are gone into captivity watch this therefore my people who went into captivity guys God's people why did they go into captivity because they have no knowledge they have no knowledge so pastor Edward what happens is people hear the word but because they don't know how to secure the promises of the prophetic word they go into captivity and their honorable men are famished and their multitudes dried up with thirst when honorable men go in to famish and multitudes are thirst it affects everyone so in the name of Jesus I Commission you is everybody gonna participate come on we've been given the keys I'm telling you pastor Paul is saying even if it's three minutes do something look at somebody say if you don't do something I'm gonna slap you upside your head just tell him say do something in the name of Jesus so second Corinthians chapter 2 verse 11 lest Satan should get an advantage of us which tells us the enemy has an ability to get an advantage of you for we are not ignorant or unlearned of his devices his thoughts his plots his plans of schemes so we must travail and follow the divine instruction to see the promise of God come to pass Isaiah 66 verse 8 I told you I'm gonna load you up today is that okay who had heard such a thing who has seen such things so the earth be made to bring forth in one day or shall a nation be born at once or will a cycle be broken for as soon as eyen cyanus always a people in Christ and a place in Christ as soon as you as soon as ioan the children of God prevailed she brought forth her children so you bring forth the promises of God by travailing by by taking the prophetic word and bringing it to pass through the power of intercession through the power of prayer look at somebody say you got a job to do for Jesus say I'm serious about this thing Deuteronomy 1 verse 1 through 8 because here's your prophetic word cycles are gonna be broken these are the words Moses spoke and this was the word God gave me when I stepped into New Destiny and he gave it to me again for the last three weeks these are the words Moses spoke to all of Israel in the desert east of the Jordan that his Arab opposites oof all those other places verse 2 it takes 11 days to go from orb to Kadesh Barnea to Mount Seir and the 40th year on the first day of the eleventh month watched this Moses proclaim to the Israelites all that the Lord had commanded him concerning them so what does Moses do right there he makes a proclamation so he's giving a prophetic word when I stood up here under the inspiration the Holy Spirit and said I will sign the letter of intent we will sign the contract we will close we will take possession under the inspiration I shifting things spiritually into the place that God has this position as the city of destiny okay it's not just like hey guys let's do this those are moments that God's going that's prophetic declaration because I want you to understand the reason I told you because sometimes people get impressed with gifts they get impressed with gifts don't let every one of you has gifts whether they're unlock it those giftings unlocked in the name of Jesus you're full of good things you're full there's deep wells on the inside of you that just need to be unlocked in the name of Jesus every one of you have an eye to see every one of you have an ear to hear now there are certain things what establishes offices or how many of those giftings because God gives the measure in the Metron that's why he says desire all the gifts but it's the Holy Spirit that gives them to you so we should desire to operate in all the gifts but at the end of the day minister norm if you operate in all nine gifts and I operate in seven I as a sister or a person Doug as a brother in the Lord should not get jealous over you or be upset about you or why does he have that because at the end of the day it's the Holy Spirit who says what you operate in is the Holy Spirit that says this is what I'm gonna allow pastor Edward to see this one I'm gonna if they do their part this is what I give them the ability to do so if you've got a problem take it up with God because all of us all of us desire we should all desire God use me for all the gifts of spirit let me walk in the fruit of the Spirit let me operate then once you start walking you're gifting it reveals what your offices I'll teach you that more it it'll reveal what your office is and so so those giftings are locked up but i decree in the name of jesus over the next 30 days giftings are gonna be unlocked in you give things are gonna be unlocked that's why a lot of pastors get frustrated I don't get frustrated because I understand but a lot of pastors get frustrated cuz they feel like they can say something their congregation and then someone comes in and just you know shows up in a hot moment says the exact same thing and all the people get excited when he's been saying it for you know 10 months so you gotta understand if things are going 4th prophetic words are going 4th utterances are going 4th so Moses says you're gonna take possession of the land right you're with me on this I say he says you're gonna take possession of the land verse 6 and 7 let's say the Lord our God said to us at orab you've stayed long enough at this mountain break camp in advance into the whole country of the amorite going to all the neighboring people go to verse 8 see I have given you this land go in and take possession the land that the Lord swear he would give to your father's now we can do that in a lot of ways God told us that we would literally take the land but God said this is your year of double portion God said this is your year of divine advantage God said this is your year of supernatural acceleration and God just confirmed that old cycles are being broken and new cycles are being released to you in the name of Jesus so verse 6 says the Lord our God speak to us in Orab and said you've dwelt long enough it's important to find out why he's saying that because orab means the waste place it means to destroy gradually to have lost through breaking down it is lost by decay so God spoke to them in a place of loss in a wasteland in the place that everything had broken down because the prophetic word that you receive does not always match where you're living you can be living in a wasteland a brokedown place and God's not talking to you from where you are he's talking to you from where he's shifting you to be so you might have a current cycle that's operating that your tires went flat this week or something came against you I'm will help you secure but God's saying 30 days I'm giving you keys to break that cycle that the harvest that I have already assigned that has been dispatched to you will not be lost this time in the name of Jesus and God said you've dwelt there long enough you've remained there you've settled there and you've married their divorce every place that you've settled that is not a part of your destiny I say in the name of Jesus divorce every place that you have remained and that you have settled that is not a part of your destiny everything that is in active every every spirit of poverty every spirit of sickness every spirit of lack every cycle that keeps pulling you back everything that is holding you back from being married to your Boaz everything from stopping you from finding your good thing everything that has stopped your business from being birth it is broken divorce it in the name of Jesus if you have a spiritual ear you know that line upon line this whole conference is built up that when Bishop Jake's came what he was saying when he was saying when he sealed it he was saying look the faith was not in the moment that she got divorced from it the faith was that she walked with it for 18 years which by the way new destiny Christian centers 18 years old this year he didn't even have any idea what he was saying were 18 years old this year and he's saying divorce everything because you've walked a long walk of faith to get to this point now everything that's going to keep you twisted and bent over and everything that's gonna tie you to be a part of events that happened in your past dismiss it that's what being loose means divorce it and God says you have dwelt here but you've settled here I break anything that would cause you to settle in a cycle of your past in the name of Jesus so now Moses says don't have a repeat performance but with clarity and wisdom anticipate the future and God strategically position yourself for maximum effectiveness break the cycle look at three people say break the cycle break the cycle because the Word of God starting with this because what does God been saying this is the year of the hand of the Lord that's what 14 means that's where we're getting divine portion inheritance everything else remember there five words all of this comes together what are the five words it's exuse yeah right it's Dunamis it's Krakow's remember its discuss and its energy ax so crotteaus means Dominion and rulership so what God is saying is you were in a season to break cycles that have caused you not to rule in a place of Dominion Dominion is that crotteaus place it's the power of God it's the hand of God that is being restored I'm gonna help somebody with principles to take possession and break the cycle so that your prophetic promise will come to pass because the season of struggle is over Bishop Jake said the season of struggle I'm bringing it all together for you is over that God is giving you and Dominion it is your year for inheritance it is your year to take possession so when you rule when you get your hand back crotteaus to rule means governing power or its possession it's User Authority the enemy never wanted us to have that lot of that RAM because now we have governing power we have governing I don't know another lighthouse that has almost a hundred hundred ten acres we have governing power to establish what God wants to establish for future generations and for his kingdom it's when you rule it means an authoritative prescribed direction for conduct it means to exercise control we are taking control out of the enemy's hand and putting it into the kingdom's hand it means to have dominion direction govern to dominate my powerful influence you watch and you mark this day there will be a day the decisions will not be made without our influence there will be a time the decisions will not be made because the church will send this church will stand not just as a lighthouse to play Church but to be a directional force that there will not be a decision made economically spiritually politically without the influence of the voice pieces of God it won't just be built around a pastor there'll be apostolic there'll be prophetic listen I already I've already started calling in I've already started looking out to say I know it's gonna take me about three years to raise up in this house true prophets but I'm bringing them in I'm calling them in right now passe where we're getting some reinforcements I'm getting giftings to come help raise you up quickly in the name of Jesus so everything you do and your purpose you have influence you are an influencer you are bad to the bone baby if you only understood stop crying about yesterday God's got a whole new day for you well we knew rule you decide or declare Authority flee judicially you decree you decide and you declare Authority that's why your words have power that's why you you a person who can't control their word has no control over their spirit it says because you've got to have the ability we've come to a place of maturity you can control your mouth don't say stupid things don't speak against yourself come on in the weariness of your soul don't do it I break that cycle in the name of Jesus it means to be in total control or command to exercise supreme authority to formulate an issue a decree or a decision to prevail at a particular level rate so when you are ruler which you are a ruler look at somebody Sam a ruler in Jesus name arts one who walks in crotteaus one who's got their hand back you got your hand back come on it might have been withered it was there but you got it back in the name of Jesus a ruler is a commander that occupies the front to boldly stand out in front god just shifted you from the back to the front God moved you spiritually from some back places to some front places now you have to secure it in the name of Jesus how do I secure it I'm gonna give you a few points I won't get through all this number one build your prophetic future you have to build on the promises of God which are always in alignment with the Word of God whenever there's a prophetic word if it doesn't line up with God's Word throw it out or shelf it but you do not receive anything that does not come in alignment with the Word of God remember giftings are easy well not for everyone but giftings are not the hardest thing it's not the gifting don't get carried away with just something it is a gifting a word of knowledge a word of discernment those are not difficult things every one of you will operate in that every one of you come on I pray the two of the discerning of spirits that you operate in the word of knowledge and God my son used to get so mad at me he'd get so mad he was running from God Jonah Brad was a proclaimed atheist shaking his fist at God and I'd come up and I'd say what were you doing here here and here I said that other day you did this - this is and he don't know I wasn't and I'd say Brad don't even mess with me and I'd have a word of knowledge I know exactly where he was exactly what he dude the Lord would take me out of my out of my body in my spirit and I would be right where he was seeing what he was doing and I would come back to him and tell him that next day and he'd say you say don't get mad cuz God can't handle your rebellious children okay he'd say I hate your God he tells you everything I'd say praise the Lord now that same boy that said that is in love with my Jesus in love with my daughters a mighty man of God see God will tell you God doesn't play God's looking God wants to show you things God wants to show you he wasn't showing me as a pastor he was showing me as a mother who cared about my child he was showing me about somebody who would pray I would lay on that boy's bed I would lay out stretched out with oil I would put all everywhere you can imagine putting oil I don't know everything you can imagine or in anointing and I'd say listen devil you might mess with a lot of things but I'm gonna tell you one thing because I understand Kingdom you're not getting my seed you're not getting my blessing and you're not getting my inheritance because inheritance to me is not buildings it's not money it's not Fame it's nothing material inheritance is your legacy you lead through your children both spiritually and naturally and your hands are off listen you that enemies not getting you your my legacy you your honor your the most important thing that God has given me I'm grateful for the land I'm grateful for the building I'm grateful for the house of God but at the end of the day you're what I care about we are what the church is you better slap somebody say the devil's not getting you so jeremiah 29:10 i'm not gonna i'm only gonna go to 10:40 today this is what the lord says seventy years are completed and most of us quote this but we don't do it within the right context he says i come to you and fulfill my gracious promise so what does God do fulfill his gracious promise but how many years did that take 70 years see people think when they get a prophetic word and God gives you a promise it comes to pass the next day now we've got an accelerated destiny that God said after 30 days the cycles gonna be broken if we don't delay this will get into our promised place 11 days come on we won't wander in a wilderness 40 years but really the keys up to you the key is up to you so they had a promise they had to wait 70 years to bring you back to this place for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord Prince the prophecy you not harm you to give you a hope of future but watch how they come to pass verse 12 and we always only quote that verse 11 but 12 so important then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen there's always a pattern of God that brings the promises of God repentance and prayer repentance and prayer repentance and prayer I know this is old-time Church preaching to Holy Ghost for you right now you want me to shout and just go ah God's gonna send you break a cycle and in the name of Jesus and you're gonna go out there and send thirty days come back and still be broke busted and disgusted but if I give you something you're gonna be able to defeat that devil in the name of Jesus repentance and prayer you'll seek me and you'll find me when you seek me with all your heart that's why there's times of intensity in the spirit God says we're going full force and I will be found by you declares the Lord and I will bring you back from captivity and I'll gather you from the nations the places that i banished you I'll teach that on another time and I'll bring you back to the place from which I carried you to exile so we already know prophetic is this the name given to the predictive seers of supernatural communications acts and influences from the spiritual worlds and its citizens so when we start talking about prophetic ministry you're talking about the practice of revelatory ministry where God reveals things future is is where you're going but you've not been so it's a time yet to come so a prophetic future is a time to come that is filled with expectation because the communication that is given concerning from it from God's Word and His anointed ones this is what creates faith Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 for without faith it is impossible to please God to come an agreement come in alignment with God so we have to believe that he is and he is a rewarder he hires and he recommends us he pays for hire so number one you've got to believe in the preordained work of God you've got to believe in classics chapter three verse 14 and 15 number two you've got to build your life on the purpose of God I'll come back Thursday and teach these extensively is that okay let me just give them to you now so the God's purposes cannot miscarry then one of the greatest things you can ever commit is leaving your purpose and I'm going to teach you on that because John chapter 4 Jesus said my meat is to do the will of the Father and I'll teach you that extensively about being a sent men but I want to build it on number three build on the promises of God when you build on the promises of God it's a divine assurance of good so God makes this promise now I'm going to conclude with the promises given us Moses and the Israelites give us understanding of that in Exodus chapter 5 the request is to let the people of God go Exodus chapter 6 the Lord said unto Moses now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh with a strong hand I'll let him go with a strong hand shall he drive them out of this land and God spoke to Moses and said I'm the Lord I appeared to Abraham Jacob it said you'll know me by Jehovah I established my covenant wherefore verse 6 say to the children of Israel and I'm in Exodus chapter 6 shows if say to the children of Israel I am the Lord watch this carefully I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians so let's place that what God said to us say to the people of New Destiny I am the Lord your God and in 30 days I will break every cycle over you say to the people of New Destiny I am is he the same today yesterday and forevermore according to Hebrews 13:8 I am the Lord to God and I will break every cycle over you in the name of Jesus and remember patterns never change principles don't change so you have to understand how to work the Word of God if you want to know if you want to see something you say I'm gonna I'm thrown out a lot today and I gotta be done in two minutes but you saw the strength of every one okay archbishop is one of the strongest people I know in prayer he's a prayer man Bishop Jake's is one of the strongest people I know I'm tell you his walk with God worship that's why when he held out the microphone what do you have everybody do praise if Papa was holding out the microphone what would he have had everybody do pray if I was what would I have to do I'll be pawns sir my strongest gift is revelation of God's Word because that's how God showed himself to me when I got saved I stayed in his word for two years so revelation comes forth when I start opening my mouth with revelation people start getting set free all of those things one's not greater than the other all of those things are very important all of those things are needed that's why the body coming together brings the completeness of everything helping somebody here today I'm giving you some revelation I'm taking the prophetic word the prayer and the praise and everything that happened I'm saying if you want to break the cycle I'm giving you the revelation how to do it right now so God says I'll bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians out rid you of their bondage I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with judgments keep reading it for yourself okay so here's the sure signs if you were to go on and they go come under these burdens and God speaks them several times the sure signs that when you get ready to step in your prophetic purpose is that things often get worse before they get better it's what we call backlash this is the fight after revelation comes forth so the key is you've already won Exodus 5 22 23 Moses returns to the Lord said Oh Lord why have you brought trouble upon these people I did what you said I brought them out so why is this all this trouble so so the first sign that you see is when you start moving into your deliverance when you start moving into your breakthrough trouble in the Hebrew and the Greek means a vexed place a narrow place a tight place so when you start moving into deliverance everybody thinks oh it's happy day it's happy day no that's when things get vexed as soon as Jesus was born it says that Herod vexed he started killing everybody under 2 come on guys you can stop the handing out y'all look at me like crazy like I'm trying to help you break a cycle right now and this is going to be thank Goods I mean it God could have said it's gonna be 30 years of fasting God said 30 days 30 days is nothing for a key to break he could have said 30 they had to wait 70 years to come out of Babylon our hero you could be 200 before this happened but you're gonna see it come to pass in the days of your life because God said if we do this in 30 days we're about to break a cycle in the name of Jesus and you're about to move into a whole nother level say so why did you bring all this trouble is this why you sent me ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name he's brought trouble upon this people and you've not rescued your people at all so things looked worse right before they looked better so right when they're getting ready to change there's a backlash this is the enemy's way of trying to get you to back down so the minute that you get a prophetic you get aggressive because faith makes you push out the enemy presses against you the moment that impresses against you press back you know what I do I tell
