uh today we have with us our special guest you might know him you might have already guessed medic main array seven array seven what's up man you're talking about me right that's me yeah yeah hey hi how you doing how's everything going it's great to meet you great to be here great to great to meet you all i'm i'm super excited i'm i'm really excited this is so different this was his idea by the way that we just started off like this i'm not like should i look at you or the camera i don't know i don't i don't know what you're talking about i'm i'm totally in character at this point as far as i'm concerned i am actually in was this bavaria or something yeah i'm actually in bavaria which is appropriate considering you know i'm the medic but uh yeah so what's next well so anyways guys if you guys aren't familiar with the series what we do now is we're gonna alias we're gonna pick different outfits different profile pictures different profile names and we're gonna just jump into some casuals and play some games together so uh i guess let's go do that now yeah let's go change hey hey you look good hey uh so we uh we got our alias outfits uh i guess go ahead and tell me uh what your new alias name and uh profile picture are uh my friends i am crimson nova the dark cubic lord yes that's what i do i i hate to admit it but i i play yu-gi-oh i play yu-gi-oh competitively um not proud of that at all but i enjoy it quite a bit and so a lot of things become yu-gi-oh references i'm so sorry for anyone who has to be a part of that what about you how's yours i uh i weirdly enough actually went for a yu-gi-oh reference myself uh my name is the forbidden one and uh my profile picture is exodia so yeah my my loadout is just this creature looking thing with the new uh it's amazing the new eyes from the summer cosmetics all right well anyways uh i guess let's get this started and uh do it let's go game on moss rock sure okay okay all right i'm gonna be running the uh i'm running the crits krieg here because i'm a baller and i like getting [ __ ] done okay if you're gonna do that actually i'll switch this off to uh some holiday punch might need it yeah sounds good my guy just a medic main don't do well in this video like i think we've just lost the faith of all we have to forfeit our license we have to forfeit our licenses man i'm gonna have to give my channel to bearded right everybody we're gonna do something never before heard of on a casual server we're going to coordinate so i'll go ahead and uh ask you a few questions here uh let's start with this one i i just recently hit like a thousand hours on heavy right how many hours do you as a medic main have oh god random crits are you kidding me i'm making a punching bag right now i am a punching bag we'll keep the question going uh how many hours do you have his medic main how many hours do i have as a medic um i can check my stats actually i forgot i have five hundred and thirty finally thirty nice dude 530 right i um it's funny because i keep i reset my stats like periodically you know because i get bored and um so i have like 4 000 hours in tf2 but you know only 500 in uh at medic you know oh there you are well there's a demo behind us oh that's a random creature oh my god dude the random crits that's a spy oh no oh that's a demoman too oh [ __ ] uh see you left youtube for a while and then you like came back like just recently like what what made you come back in your opinion uh well i believe it or not i actually like making youtube videos you know i thoroughly enjoy editing i think there's like a there's a specific art behind it you know that i really enjoy right you know and it's part of the reason why videos take so hard so long for me to make is because you know i i try to make the editing as best as i can but you know that obviously has very varying results but um i it was also partly because i every time i take a break from tf2 i also take a break from youtube you know and because tf2 and youtube are just so hand in hand anyway um we've got a chris creek by the way um and i i don't know i i can't play i every time every now and again i feel like playing tf2 but i can't play tf2 without getting back into youtube you know what i mean right right and i don't know plus yeah i mean i i miss i i miss you know the whole youtube scene honestly there's a lot of there's a lot about the video making progress that i missed oh that's a spy i jumped off the bridge when you went for me i was totally missed oh he's coming your way he's coming your way demo got him nice alien scout came after me oh god all right we still got the crits okay we still got our crits i'll go and pull they're all here whole gang's here whole squad oh double dunk whoa yeah nice they're hurt okay we can fall back now so to answer your question coming back to youtube was more just i i'm on a just more of an on a whim kind of thing you know whenever i'm finally feeling in the right place in my life to you know continue doing this because it's a huge time sync you know it's usually just a lot of hours coming up with scripts and writing videos and everything and it's just it it takes a lot of energy it takes a lot of time and sometimes i'm just so busy with my actual job and working and everything that i just don't have really a lot of time or patience for it you know oh yeah i totally understand the job part i finally just left my full-time job as you know yeah that's right tell us about that man how did uh how did that come about i'd love to know uh man i just i didn't like the job a lot and i've been doing it almost the entire time i did youtube and people wanted me to make videos people wanted me to do streaming more and i saw success with it but it was like i just didn't have the time and uh so like i finally went on youtube right and i pulled up you know the whole analytics tool and i saw that like in three minutes we've got to charge we got a charge uh yeah we got a charge you know what do it we'll come back to that do it there goes the heavy almost ahmed there goes one med there's two meds get out the way of the joey train oh no breaks no breaks there we go um so anyways yeah it's just like i finally pulled up three months analytics and i was like yo i made like three videos and i made almost as much as i would make in my job and i was like what if i just did this yeah full time that's that's such horseshit though like it just goes to show how little the american worker gets paid in general if that's how much you make you know what i mean that may be it was uh it was it just didn't seem that much worth it anymore so oh yeah i finally just one day just i devised a plan and i i quit in a nice way and in a in a bad way i walked out of my job but i also like bought candy for like the entire crew and i said nice things to my bosses and i was like gone so yeah oh that's probably a ball we're kicking right now yeah okay there's another follow-up question how do you feel about the recent bot pandemic we've been having you know what pandemic is not the word i want to use on that uh the recent bot problem let's let's use that the bot infestation yeah yeah the the plague yeah maybe that's not the word either but um i don't i don't know it's i kind of saw it as inevitable there was there's going to come a time when a game like this when it's pretty like dare i say easy to cheat in yeah you know i just feel the worst for all the free to plays that get caught in the crossfire you know and i understand this isn't this isn't easy for valve to deal with you know or the one person at valve that's working on it i think it's jill you know that's i don't think it's easy for her to deal with at all because she's got a whole bunch of people you know who are really upset understandably but you know i don't think i don't know i we seem to kind of be doing well on our own i think as long as valve gives us the um the the tools we need to uh to to continue fighting these bots i think we're okay i wouldn't let the community still uh help push updates i feel like that would help things move along too it really would the community has always been better at doing what valve does in valve is you know all right we gotta we gotta take out all five remaining people right now all right we got it sniper's out of 66. no he's not no he's not he's looking at me he's looking at me all right he taunted too did it i got that i got that sniper's number his name is smiley face he's on the left side okay i'll look for it i don't know the callous for this map he's by the tree near the grass go get him he's by the he's by the rust background part uh uh i see him i see him doing the call-outs right [Laughter] got it it's okay it's coming for you [ __ ] random crits don't you try to out random crit the medic okay please it's times like these when i say we're definitely going to need a crits creek yeah you know kritzkrieg is like my favorite medi gun anyways so totally fine yeah it's it's honestly for me the most fun it gets the most done that's what i'm saying because the thing is i can't trust people to be good at the game to do something with a regular uber or with a quick fix uber so with the kritzkrieg they don't have to be good they just have to you know shoot at people like they're already doing and they get points you know and that's that's kind of how all of it goes really i feel like a lot of people don't even know how to use the quick fix not not that the medics don't that people that are being ubered by it don't know like how to utilize it you know they don't they don't know nothing about it unfortunately yeah they run out like it's a regular uber and they get killed i think one of the worst things though i think is when somebody's got like a super custom named like um medigun and it might be a quick fix or something and so like there's been times where i'll run out thinking i've got a stock uber and it's a quick fix and i'm like uh-oh yeah that's high like immediately do you like it more when you have somebody that calls out for the ubers or do you like doing it more i like calling the u i like somebody else calling the ubers better because in order for me to understand when to use the uber i have to see what's going on and most likely put myself at danger right you know so we've still got a crits call it when you need it oh yeah now i think he's got i think he's got an uber charge too so if you can get ubered and crits that would just be bob's your uncle man okay i'll go for it yeah yeah everyone get out the way joey coming through trying to get that sniper there we go nice all right i'm getting out of century down mini century down everybody push backing up whoop oh he got me i couldn't oh no i'm stuck so obviously obviously the game has changed a lot since like you first started this right oh yeah how uh we know i'll just ask you that first like how how different is tf2 now compared to like when you first started everyone's a lot better everyone is is exponentially better at this game now especially because like the core fan base has been playing for so long you know that a lot of um there a lot of like pubs or casuals you get in now are very they're kind of brutal in you know their skill levels you know and it's usually at the point where another team has like a pair like us as a matter of fact who are pub stomping you know and just going to ruin it for so many other people you know and it's just difficult to counter because you know you're counting on coordination from people who have no coordination you know where are you are you up here yeah oh yeah i bumped a spot i'm buff to spy oh my god i just saw him too hold on i just saw the demo kill himself trying to kill him i'm gonna have to try to spray every part of this room yeah you know what i think the spy probably went to the stairwell behind us so we've got chris we've got crits that's an uber shark about yourself yeah we've got critics call it if you can't uh go for it now actually wait yeah wait wait yeah there you go there's the spine i just i just there he is we got think then what do you think how much has it changed since you started playing oh that's so weird well first off your opinion about the player base getting better i think i've seen more the opposite i feel like i've seen more like and it's not a bad thing in my opinion but i think i've seen like more worse and i think it's just because we've been picking up so many new players like this year if you've seen like the numbers our numbers have picked up insanely like we're at 60 000 almost consistently every month i'd like to blame lazy purple for that actually yeah maybe i mean we definitely had content creators come through this year too for sure yeah um but yeah i just like i think you've got a diverse one i think you've still got yeah those og players that like do very well in the game but uh it's certainly been a lot easier to get kill streaks these days i can say that yeah that's true yeah all right we've got a crits we got a crits oh yeah oh hi there oh he's gonna regret that [ __ ] can't deflect bullets yeah all right call it uh not yet sniper watching the door yeah [ __ ] that go for it now go for it i was distracted go go oh god oh god what happened i got it i got it like that's a problem can we hold this for eight minutes oh never mind the my god bud got me oh man you know what i will say this about those bots though like our community has done really well with kicking those things immediately i know we've been kicking their ass so far honestly i mean they've kind of been kicking ours too but i mean we've been doing we've been doing pretty well we're not just going quietly into that long night we're uh we're really holding our own i think oh yeah as you see that oh man okay we gotta give it back to him we gotta get back to him and win this oh we gotta give it harder gotta give it back harder i feel like turn value i feel like that's like how you win a tie tet is like it okay if you if you beat them way quicker than they beat you and in my book that's that's probably a win you know yeah that's literally stopped mode actually that's stopwatch mode it's just how i view it yeah i get you wow this just needs to like have a fire lit to it and this would look like a campfire yeah really i just have to pyro a little bit closer here i'm gonna run uh i'm gonna run the uber then we'll see what happens so i got a question then i got a question for you joey's big joey slap nuts where does the name big joey slap nuts come from i'm sure you've been asked this before but i would like to know oh yeah so the name basically comes from i i wanted like a serious name and i wanted like a goofy name back in the day because when i played really seriously i would get too upset when i would like lose and when i played like a goofy name i wouldn't take myself serious enough right so i was like what would be like a good serious first name and i was like started thinking up stuff and big joey came to me and i'm like all right big joey and then what else could be added to that and i don't know if it came from jeff jarrett the wrestler when he would call people slap nuts all the time or if it just popped in my head as an insult but yeah i just put together his big joy slap nuts and that's that's literally just it and that was like nice that was like got an uber charge we got an uber charge uh yeah do it actually well push that sentry great timing great timing sniper hit me as soon as you did it oh yeah don't get that medic back there okay we gotta get out got him hot nice got him nice okay so uh what i saw that one of your biggest videos was actually it was really interesting to me one of your biggest videos was a heavy video you did uh the sandwich versus the locus bar and yeah funny enough one of my biggest videos ended up being the sandwich versus the secondary banana which which do you think is a bigger debate between the bigger debate yeah like between people that are like adamant for say that the locus bar they're adamant for the sandwich or the secondary banana uh personally i think there's a bigger debate between the second banana and the sandvich yeah but i think there's a harder debate between the locos bar and the uh and and anything else really it's a hard press i just go ahead and accepted my death to try to get that point yeah i was uh i was never a big uh supporter of the de locus bar back before the scott behind us oh you got me yeah i i i liked it the locos bar though i thought it was pretty i thought it was pretty good i i liked it because um as a medic it's health faster you know it it gives you more health faster you know you get and sure you can make the argument that you know the sandwich for charges in like 30 seconds or something like that you know and it gives it's a it's a half health kit right and i think um yeah the locos bar is just a small but see what happens is the the health kit extinguishes flames and everything and having that as often as possible really does help you know i think so i in my experience it has because i would i would rather it be rechargeable quickly you know because then the my health regen can take care of the rest honestly it's it's the instant same saving me from dying right then and there's what i need soldier above us soldier above you oh he got me where'd he go he got me he was under he walked around the wall man joey's weakness circling it's good fight i know ben no uh but uh yeah so okay in that case if you wanted like your healing faster would you say then i mean the secondary would still be good for that would you say that above sandwich um i haven't really played with a second banana a lot honestly yeah i throw it at the same speed as uh the delocas yeah well at that point you might as well uh you might as well use a secondary banana i mean i like i like the the the locos bar as a heavy sometimes because the extra health it gives you and it increases all the health you get from health kits too you know so it it helps out but personally i'm not um i don't i don't really make much of a difference i don't play a lot of heavy anyway yeah yeah yeah i usually go for the sandwich because i feel like obviously it gives more health to the medics and i use that trick where like if you run over the health pack as a heavy and you are at full health it'll give you it recharges it yeah yeah you've got an uber charge do it because the heavy's right here being super obnoxious there we go take out that sentry is down oh he's so close uh you know what sniper right here really folks there we go we got it is that the same demo there we go above us there's something above us we got this we got this in the bag yep that's it that's it whoa spy just took out our heavy friend that was a loud backstab yeah you know what subs now 270 000 i hit just the other day i'm very proud of it very happy okay let me let me let me ask you this because you know a lot of youtubers end up going this way are you uh are you thinking of doing new content soon are you going to stick with tf2 now that you've returned or do you think you want to kind of mix it up a bit uh personally i'd love to mix it up a bit um i know that the audience i know a lot of people who watch me kind of only watch me for tf2 and i understand that that's that makes sense i i'm not super happy about it because it's limiting but i understand and so part of me wants to use um tf2 as sort of a springboard into other subjects right because there's a lot of things that tf2 does that other games have in common as well you know and so i think that if i use um use tf2 as you know kind of like an example for other examples in games you know i think that might work better like talking about the sort of player interactions you get in tf2 you know versus the ones you get in other games you know it's it's interesting to think about and i think that tf2 has a lot to show us and a lot to teach us and especially now it's probably best to start learning from it so we can start looking towards the future and i would like to take my editing skills to the next level i think you know because tf2 is personally a little limiting so i would i would like to move forward but if that's of course if that's what nobody wants to watch then you know i can't do nothing about that so i guess we'll just have to see how it ends up but i've got great editing already thank you but i've got i've got confidence that um i've got confidence that people like what i make i i don't have a problem even tf2 players or uber time tf2 players or non-tf2 players alike i think won't mind it spy behind you spy behind you is this him yeah that's him let's see pyro after you yeah yeah i could i gotta say that it's uh i mean your heading is already great so i think that will hopefully go well thank you yeah thank you i worked very hard on it you know like it's weird because like a few definitely like a year or two ago like people would have like shunned the idea of a tf tuber uh doing like variety content i've been having people like ask me in comments like are you gonna do this like are you gonna make different content yeah i've gotten a couple of those comments too and it really does bolster me quite a bit actually and i really do appreciate so anyone who's ever left one of those comments on a youtuber that's like the best compliment you can give them because it's like oh we like you not just for your the content that we know you for we like you for everything that anything else you would do you know and that's yeah that's so important especially for someone like us who you know don't maybe don't always want to do tf2 and feel like you only like us because of that you know but that's you know it's it's wishful thinking in a lot of cases to think that things could just go back to normal and retain the exact same amount of viewership you know outside of tf2 you know it's it's just not realistic unfortunately so you know you do it you do whatever you can and hope that people like whatever you're trying to do and with luck they will oh that was close i was so glad you ubered i was like he's not gonna do it he's not gonna do it i got killed by crit romney guys crit has been that has been a common theme for us these last games what's your opinion on random chris just so i know sorry everyone knows i said in the game or do you would you have them take them out if you could i'm gonna i'm gonna do a compromise everything but melee take them the way you take them away from everything except melee weapons all right i think that's fair i think that's a fair compromise i think it's a good way to do it and i think we're okay we do that you know cause i like melee random crits because melee is when kind of all the chips are down anyway you know and that's when you could probably use it the most the classes that use the most melee the most are kind of memes anyway so i mean i don't think it does any harm if you just get random created by some sort of like you know some sort of uh bone saw or something because i i say that especially because it's nice i say that it's easy for me to say that because i'm the medic main but you know i mean at that point the medics already screwed over anyway but uh yeah i don't i don't really mind them so much but it's it's hard when you have classes that can take advantage of it you know do it there's two snipers do it do it do it do it like i want to take them bullied we're getting bullied yeah sniper's not going to lose i mean the pirate's not going to let us do it no that wasn't wasted uber that was straight up wasted uber yeah he played it well yeah he did yeah it's weird man i've always had like a uh like for a long time i've always kept it to where i was like you know keeping me casual because why not treat it like like smash bros say for instance where like if you're just playing with pals you know you're just playing for fun no comp then you can put all the items in and just have a great time right yeah secrets and casual but then i would imagine for comp take them out if we're just going off pure skill you know take all the uh take all the crits out yeah i agree with that as far as like for the entire game like for the best decision for the future like you know i've like always had that stance to keep them but uh recently playing in uh uncle topia where there's no crits i i actually you don't miss them as much as you think you would no i like getting crits and casual but like i just i don't really think about it when i'm there the only time i'll really miss it is when i pull out the holiday punch yeah because then it's like this is only gonna work if i get them from the back or i have a crit scream so i'm just swacking away at this teleporter here we got it we got it we got it we should have just camped it honestly i like camping being better oh is that yep housing down hold them down nice [Music] god damn it like what is it with me in sight lines i just i see one and i go i gotta stand right in it rip stop look at my body i see you're doing that stop it that's that's i don't know if that's like creepy or not one but we did well for the rest of the games so look you see i'm good you're good if we lost it's everybody else's fault yeah we're just gonna leave it at that oh my god [Laughter] all right well
