thank you in 2017 this New York Times headline shocked the world a clandestine U.S government program have been investigating UFOs the Pentagon has confirmed the existence of the advanced Aerospace threat identification program that studied UFOs and they released video [Applause] for eight years the secret program was run by this man Lou Elizondo time and time again we were coming up with these mystery objects performing in a way that defies logic frustrated by what he says was a cover-up Elizondo quit and joined forces with an elite group of former government insiders we're going to figure out how to get to the bottom of it now they have one mission to expose what they say is the truth about UFOs U.S airspace is being violated by vehicles of Unknown Origin with Advanced capabilities it was raining UFOs I put my entire career and future on the line because I believe in what I believe in Carl Sagan once famously said extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof he was absolutely right but now we have the proof [Music] Lou Elizondo is on his way to interview a key eyewitness to one of the most stunning UFO events in recent history we're trying to build a case here for the jury and so when you're building a case for the jury there is nothing more compelling than eyewitness testimony they were there and by the way their trained observers these are people who can think critically and this particular pilot has never given an interview about this incident ever 2004 this Navy fighter pilot was training for deployment on board the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier now a high-ranking officer this is her first on-camera interview about the incident she wants to keep her identity hidden due to the sensitivity of what she's about to say I want to make sure that everybody in this room understands that her identity is to remain protected at all times so when that includes when you're writing notes on email back to Executives hey that was a great interview with don't write that don't put it in there just say the pilot wingman pilot would be appropriate okay so that's the wingman pilot well I still have a security clearance so as a result we will not be discussing anything classified at all during this interview it's in fact if at any time anything is discussed at classified we will stop the interview right there and then sure Elizondo is still Bound by notes of secrecy he hopes testimony like this will force the government to acknowledge UFOs are a threat to National Security and to take action because this issue is such Kryptonite inside the National Security establishment he needed to figure out a way to do it so that what he's Gathering could be made public these are not crazy people that are reporting this stuff these are the people that we entrust our security to why don't we just start from the beginning we were operating off the coast of California and a designated military working area whether a carrier strike group we had launched to perform a practice fight against each other to rehearse our maneuvers on November 14 2004 this pilot took off from the deck of the Nimitz as the wingman to a second jet flown by her squadron commander she soon found herself in the middle of one of the most significant UFO encounters on record it was Daylight and oh yeah it was in the middle of the night Clear Blue Skies middle of the day formerly fighter pilots are directed by a radar plane known as a Hawkeye are suddenly redirected by controllers on the USS Princeton we were interrupted by a ship-borne controller their tone was urgent and their requests were unusual this is not an exercise this is a real world intercept didn't have much experience I thought maybe it's a drug Runner or something coming up the coast of Mexico and I thought wow that would be cool no information about their target as the Jets arrive at the designated location they're confused my heart think there was something in the water there was a churning and I went from being sort of giddy excited to thinking oh my God now we're on scene commanders of Iraq somebody's crashed and uh you know this aircraft is sinking and this is when you notice an object we were all clamoring to get on the radio do you see in the water what is that a bizarre craft is hovering over the churning water what does it look like no windows no flight surfaces so no wheels at all low Wing snow smooth White no intakes no smoke Trail it looked like a giant Tic Tac give me a rough size maybe 40 feet okay 40 feet fair enough large enough to scare this out of me it was so unnerving because it was so unpredictable high G rapid velocity rapid acceleration so you're wondering you know how can I possibly fight this we have no ordinance on board you know unless one of us Ram this thing which the way it was maneuvering would have been impossible so I saved High cover the wingman watched from above as their Commander flies directly at the strange craft now Elizondo is on his way to interview the other pilot in the air that day the wingman's commander these are reports for military Pilots they've been in combat and this is something that they cannot explain and it's shaking them up to the point that they're willing to risk their professional standing by coming forward and talking about [Music] brother Dave how are you and I deserve how you doing boy you live in the castle man retired U.S Navy Commander David fraver led the Black Aces Squadron flying combat missions over the Middle East and Africa he now works in the private sector as an Aeronautics consultant Commander fraver is a very rare breed he's one of the few folks I'd actually run towards danger not away from it fraver was the wingman's commanding officer that day over the Pacific yeah and that fighter instinct so it reprising his sins on that day I really wanted to see what it was I mean if I could have joined right up on it and you know got like Blue Angel close then I probably would have done that as fravor attempted to get a closer look it's wingman watched from Above This object seemed to recognize that we were there and went from this very low altitude to maneuvering in an erratic very rapid manner so the hair on the back of my neck is standing up I'm thinking I'm going to be watching a disaster here foreign most of my questions are going to be focused on the five interrogatives right the who what when where how and why just like we're doing a terrorism or Espionage investigation Lou Elizondo may be the most significant U.S official to ever claim the UFO phenomenon is real for two decades he served as a counterintelligence officer for the Department of Defense Lou is in many ways an enigma here was a guy who had spent decades really in the intelligence Community whether it was the Taliban or is Al Qaeda or is Isis or is Guantanamo Bay he had to deal with all of it 2009 Elizondo took over the 22 million dollar Advanced Aerospace threat identification program or atip that investigated encounters between UFOs and the U.S military is this three reports was this five reports we were made aware of many many many many incidents it remains a sensitive number those numbers are increasing on a regular and routine basis some of these incidents are very very recent and very compelling but in 2017 he made the shocking announcement he was walking away from a 20-year military career and going public I had tried in vain to work within the silos of the organization but I ultimately left the Department of Defense because of my loyalty to the department and to the secretary not disloyalty for the past year unidentified cameras have had exclusive access to Elizondo and his new team as they tracked down military personnel willing to go on the record with their incredible encounters with UFOs foreign you are able to provide a play-by-play of what actually went down those moments that you were encountering that Tic Tac that's correct so all that's going to be hugely important I'll try to he's meeting with one of the Navy's top former fighter pilots who came face to face with a tic-tac-shaped UFO in 2004. flying a Navy fighter is probably one of the most spectacular jobs you could ever have in the entire world it's like a roller coaster times ten thousand and I got to do it in some semblance of a tactical airplane for 18 years on November 14 2004 Commander David fraver and his wingman pilot took off from the USS Nimitz which was on maneuvers South of San Diego I was the commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 4-1 the Black Aces we're flying brand new super Hornets the nuclear-powered USS Nimitz was the lead vessel of a carrier strike group that included the Destroyers USS Higgins and Chaffee the attack submarine USS Louisville and the radar equipped missile Cruiser USS Princeton if you asked any senior military officer what is the Crown Jewel of the American Military Arsenal they would say the aircraft carrier battle group if we have to go into combat sometime quickly it's likely going to be a carrier battle group that's going to be there first and it's going to be in action first engineer defense exercise two good guys against two bad guys probably 70 miles 60 miles off the coast in the gap between San Diego and Ensenada suddenly the pilots are contacted by radar operators on the Princeton the Princeton control comes up and says we're going to suspend training we have real world tasking the pilots are re-vectored to a new destination but aren't told why so we start heading off to the West the other airplane is on my left hand side I was the junior pilot trying to keep up with the senior pilot and the lead aircraft we're looking we don't see anything on our Radars at all and we're talking to each other trying to figure this out the Princeton's Aegis spy one radar system is powerful enough to track an object as small as a baseball at an altitude of 80 000 feet but the Jets are Flying Blind we tried to see what was out there which is difficult when you know what you're looking for it's even harder when you don't know what you're looking for so it goes down 60 50 40 30 20 gets all the way down they get to a point where they can't separate us from the blimp they call it merge plot which means you're in the same space as whatever you're looking for and you got to start looking outside because the radar can help you anymore Far Below in the water the see what looks like a plane crash or a submerging submarine but the weapons officer in the rear seat of fraver's jet spots something else I hear Hey Skipper do you see and as he's saying that I noticed the Tic Tac it's why it has no wings it has no rotors like a holy what is that and he goes I don't know according to this leaked summary of the incident contact was made here 30 miles off the coast 70 miles south of the U.S Mexico border at first a strange craft stays close to the surface moving unlike anything the pilots had ever seen this thing would go instantaneous from one way to another similar to if you throw a ping-pong ball against the wall and we start to kind of orbit because now we're going to watch this thing we start a right-hand turn and we're going from a clock code the object is in the middle of the clock and we're at six o'clock and we're driving around the circle so we get to about nine o'clock and it's just still doing its little erratic thing kind of moving around this disturbance in the water and and I go hey I'm gonna go check it out I'll go down there as we're coming down nice and easy we get to about the 12 o'clock position and all of a sudden it goes and it kind of turns and it's now it's mirroring us and it starts coming up and we're like okay now it knows we're here it seemed to be aware and it seems to recognize him it goes from basically just almost a hover into a pretty aggressive climb up to our altitudes when there's a bit of fear because now you're out there dealing with something that you have no idea what it is it's actually reacting to what we're doing I'm kind of pulling those you know to where he's going to be and he's coming up he just rapidly accelerates beyond anything that I've ever seen crosses my nose and it's gone and I'm like whoa the Tic Tac appears to have vanished but as the Jets streak towards a pre-arranged rendezvous location no No Cap point the radio shatter becomes frantic the controller from the Princeton comes up right as we're doing all this and says Hey sir you're not going to believe this he goes but that thing is at your cat point according to fraver the Tic Tac accelerated from a standing position and flew approximately 60 miles in under a minute as fast as 3 700 miles an hour how did the Tic Tac know the Pilot's cap point how did it accelerate so quickly you got something that can accelerate and disappear and then show up 60 miles away kind of in awe a little bit because you go whoa we don't have that you know and I'm talking we're flying a one of the Premier airplanes on the planet what was this there was a capability out there don't know where it's from not saying it's from outer space but not saying it's from here either back on the Nimitz the pilots tell the rest of the Squadron what just happened the next crew is getting ready so we're talking to him about this and they're like you got to be kidding they took us seriously and The Wizard the guy in the back seat said I'm gonna go find it the next jet to launch had a targeting pod with an infrared sensor and Camera it Jam the radar put he got a lock on it and that's the video that you see that doesn't weird yet I don't know what it does hey guys how are you good Lou how are you good hopefully you can shed some light on a few things on November 14 2004 two pilots launched from the USS Nimitz and intercepted a UFO over the Pacific South of San Diego what does it look like no windows no flight surfaces it looked like a giant Tic Tac believe this video recorded later that day by a pilot from their Squadron shows the UFO they saw it's one of three Department of Defense UFO videos Lou Elizondo helped get released to the public when the three videos came out there was this Shock by the world community that oh my gosh these are real videos this effort that we are embarking on I think is going to change a conversation forever now Elizondo was meeting with two leading Aviation experts to analyze the videos and see if they can help explain the Pilot's extraordinary encounters what I'd like to do is go through these videos very carefully and get your thoughts on these the Providence on these videos is very well established they are genuine DOD military videos retired lieutenant colonel Chris Cook is a Top Gun pilot who spent a career flying the military's most sophisticated fighter jets Ross Amer flew commercial aircraft for more than four decades and works as a consultant for the national Transportation safety board the first time the three men have spoken so the first video I'm going to show you this afternoon was taking it into 2004 time frame the first video shows the tic-tac-shaped object seen by the Nimitz Pilots captured by an f-18s infrared camera if you look at it out of context you think oh this is just another UFO video but from my perspective he absolutely captured what we saw earlier in the day a grainy 90 second video which Tic Tac flying slowly then sipping away at what appears to be a high rate of speed the altitude is twenty thousand feet we're in the TV mode now so it's visual displays indicators are familiar to the pilots the image on screen is confusing it doesn't appear to have any characteristics of any normal aircraft that I've witnessed flying the experts wonder how the craft is staying Airborne without wings no flight control surfaces I don't see that does not look like an aircraft yeah but in these images of a fighter jet also shot with an infrared camera the heat from the engine is clearly visible everything we know about propulsion systems is they create an intense amount of heat so if if it was a conventional type aircraft you would most most definitely see some type of a heat an IR signature plume uh behind the airplane yeah a defy Earth's gravitational force the way to do it is with either a propeller to mechanically displace air jet engine to compress air in to create an equal opposite reaction or a chemical explosion like a missile or a rocket each one of those has a tall tale signature yet here are things that are able to seemingly effortlessly defy Earth's gravitational force and maneuver in ways that are complete contrary to anything that we would presume should be able to fly the ability to fly without wings or an engine is one of five distinct characteristics elizondo's Pentagon team discovered he calls them the observables considers them the program's breakthrough discovery anti-gravity the ability to fly without apparent means of propulsion or lift instantaneous acceleration the ability to reach a high rate of speed in a short amount of time Hypersonic velocity speeds over 3 700 miles per hour five times the speed of sound low observability the capacity to cloak or conceal trans medium travel ability to move through space air and water any one of these mind you would be an absolute strategic game changer for any foreign adversary to have and yet here we have things doing all five nobody that I know is aware of some breakthrough that we've made in technology that could allow aircraft to do what these reportedly are doing Brian Bender is one of the reporters who broke the story of the Pentagon secret UFO program these aircrafts seem to defy all of the known aerodynamic properties that we're familiar with so let's let's let the film keep rolling the object the Navy pilot is tracking suddenly seems to get bigger so what just happened there what's he doing he's trying changing the zoom the object then appears to accelerate rapidly disappearing off screen that's a significant rate of acceleration in a horizontal plane off to the left that's very fast the object appears to perform a similar maneuver to what the pilots witnessed we're all amazed at how fast this thing just took off and disappeared instantaneous acceleration at this rate would produce a force of gravity or G-Force so extreme it would crush a human being I have no idea what that thing is and it's not acting like a aircraft it's not acting like anything I've ever seen if there are Vehicles out there aircraft that are doing things aerodynamically that we've never even thought of than I think we potentially could have real trouble down the road foreign there was another F-18 that was flying with Commander Dave fraver that day and for the first time frankly ever we were able to talk to that individual there was there was some frustration frankly there was there was a little bit of fear Lou Elizondo is briefing his team on new information he's learned about the USS Nimitz incident this Elite group of former government insiders was formed in 2017. Bound by their conviction that the craft in these videos must be investigated we can make a difference and do things because we have the connections in the network and if we can continue to establish credibility with people in the hill in the executive branch we might be able to take this the next step Chris Mellon served as Deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Steve Justice was a top Aviation engineer at Lockheed Martin's legendary Skunk Works Al putoff was a scientist for the CIA if you were trying to come up with the A-Team of former high-level government officials who would come forward on this issue you can't really think of a better team Lou Elizondo Chris Mellon these are guys who still have security clearances still have networks in Washington still are in the business if you will Chris Mel who's put his entire family's reputation on the line to do this Steve just has left a very lucrative job at Lockheed Skunk Works to do this but by far the most unlikely member of elizondo's new team is the man who brought them all together the last show I played was in front of a hundred thousand people the lights and the pyrotechnics and all that stuff was going on right behind me and then they wonder why I'm not doing that now so back it up introduce yourself yeah my name is Tom Delong a lot of people know me from my band Blink 182 I started that band when I was 16. but I got to that point where my daughter was two years old and I was gone for two years straight and I really really needed a break the only other thing I was ever interested in was UFOs Delong walked away from Stardom and dedicated himself to disclosing what he believes is the truth about UFOs I needed to get into the government and I needed to find the people that deal with this subject and let them know what I'm thinking of doing Delong says he was able to secure a meeting with high-level Aerospace executive with deep connections to the military all of a sudden out of nowhere I had an opening and I just go I am not naive to this subject I understand the National Security implications of this subject but I am asking for your help because I need guidance I just need somebody to help me and give me advice and he leans back and he goes okay that's when my life changed completely soon along was covertly communicating with powerful people including General William McCaslin the former head of a billion dollar Air Force research lab and John podesta the former presidential advisor who once said his biggest regret in the White House was not releasing the government's UFO files Tom called me out of the blue sort of who is this fellow and why is he calling me and we began to chat and I began to chat with some of the other people he was talking to and he clearly was establishing a network of people who had serious credentials there are people like me who see this as an incredible mystery and Enigma that needs to be resolved Delong says they were all part of an elite group of high-ranking officials dedicated to UFO disclosure they wanted to remain in the shadows do you think there's a way over time that we can open up some of these discussions declassify material we ought to be serious about investigating what's going on other countries have done that other countries have Declassified the information they've had he's one of the most tenacious individuals I've ever met he got to the highest levels of the U.S government to include podesta [Applause] October 2016 on the eve of the heated presidential election Delong was thrust into a media storm Wikileaks released more emails the result it appears of massive hacks into the national Democratic committee private email account of Clinton campaign chair John podesta and who knows who else de Long's Communications with John podesta and others were stolen by Russian hackers and published online by WikiLeaks the one rule they had is we will help you but don't go out and tell anybody who we are that's the only rule overnight the long found himself at the center of the decades-old debate about UFOs I think a lot of people thought that Tom Delong was being used was was being used as a tool they'll tell him some stuff that's not true and it'll be a diversion and will fool the Russians or fool the Chinese George Knapp is an investigative journalist who has reported extensively about UFOs [Music] no no I think Tom Delong has plotted out his own course he's got some really good advisors who are not part of the government all of these events that have happened are because Tom DeLonge used shoe leather knocked on doors made phone calls what Tom has started in the last year is unprecedented I think in the history of the study of this field by the fall of 2017 Delong had assembled his team then he learned the head of the Pentagon secret UFO program have resigned in protest and wanted to join forces it was Luis Elizondo it was the guy that I wasn't supposed to know his name ever it was the guy that worked at the office of the Director of National Intelligence and they said but there's one other thing there's the first three videos of UFOs are going to be Declassified for the first time in U.S history Chris Mellon understands what it means for America to be under attack on 9 11 he was one of the highest ranking officials inside I have lived through and survived intelligence failures including the attack on the Pentagon this was a group of 20 guys with no special skills or capabilities or technology and they were able to wreck massive havoc on our country to me what is most interesting about this case most Pilots don't report these kinds of incidents where people are bringing information in case it does which is a sign that um you know we're establishing some some credibility and some presence now melons out of government part of an elite team of investigators raising the alarm about what they see as another potential aerial threat what is really motivating me right now is the Nimitz case we had multiple Naval aviators in what they saw in broad daylight over an extended period of time was corroborated by the most sophisticated sensor systems air defense systems on Earth any reasonable person would have to conclude defies present understanding of what aircraft are capable of doing it was clearly something Beyond The Pale Chris melon is an interesting character he's never been very public his jobs have sort of demanded him to work behind the curtain melon hails from one of America's richest and most powerful families melons made Fortunes in oil aluminum and Banking and wielded power for Generations Chris melon found his calling in intelligence overseeing the budgets for some of America's most secret programs I was at the Senate armed services committee and the report emerged indicating the United States had lost a nuclear weapon so they sent me to try to find out what happened to the missing manuk Warhead back when I was a junior person the Department of Defense we all knew who who Christopher melon was this was a man who had all the secrets I was at Area 51 talking to some guys there working some programs and I said you guys ever see anything really strange I was almost embarrassed to even ask about it because of the the stigma surrounding the topic and most of my surprise these guys said yeah we've seen some really strange stuff here at night deeper melon looked into the controversial subject the more he began to question why the government was doing nothing about it here's a guy who presumably would know or be able to find out if these sightings were related to some very secret military program that these Nimitz Pilots for example were not aware of and clearly Chris doesn't seem to think that these instances were military aircraft being tested you know in secret he feels so strongly about it that he came out of the Shadows when it's not really in his DNA to do that Chris melon and Lou Elizondo weren't the only officials within the government concerned about a Potential Threat the Pentagon secret UFO unit atip was established by a small group of senators including former Astronaut John Glenn World War II veterans Daniel inoue and Ted Stevens and former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid it's amazing that an individual who worked at such a high level for so long as the majority leader of the United States Senate would choose this among all of the Myriad of issues that he engaged on with all of the challenges confronting our country today and this is one that he chooses in the Twilight of his career to try to carry forward in 2009 Reed sent this letter to the deputy secretary of defense arguing America needed to study the potentially groundbreaking technology behind these bizarre craft before it got into the hands of our enemies Reed requested a small unit with one of the highest levels of secrecy it was the birth of atip he's making that case and that the Strategic completions are so great that we have to Accord its special protection this wasn't the first time the U.S government studied UFOs the Air Force launched Project Blue Book in 1952 when a rash of UFO sightings put the nation on edge this is David Brinkley in the radar room at Washington National Airport on these radar screens last Saturday they saw something strange and unusual and at the moment unexplainable it was not an airplane it was not a cloud that nobody knows what it was for the next 17 years the Air Force studied over 12 000 UFO sightings around 701 cases that couldn't be explained but they concluded the incidents posed no national security threat officially shut Project Blue Book down in 1969. it wasn't lack of compelling information it was actually the result of compelling information ultimately they determined that they needed to Tamp down the concern the public concern in part because during the Cold War this could create some kind of Hysteria and overwhelm our air defense systems so the government behind the scenes concluded that they needed to discredit this phenomenon melon claims Project Blue Book created a stigma around UFOs that continues to this day inside the military I talked to people in the Pentagon who had relayed that they were concerned it was going to make the defense intelligence agency look bad they were more concerned about the Optics of it I wonder if at some point this is going to go down as a historical document where people are going to look back and say you know it doesn't matter what side of the aisle you're on that was heroic I was never formally debriefed and I wasn't taken seriously for years for over a decade the accounts of two Navy fighter pilots of an encounter with an unidentified craft South of San Diego were dismissed by the U.S Navy if I had been a single seat pilot and I had encountered it by myself I probably wouldn't have said anything I wouldn't want to risk my security clearance I wouldn't want to risk people thinking I was a freak or crazy you actually get four people that are eyewitnesses to the performance of this thing and then nothing gets done so the frustration that comes out of that is why is not only ridicule but then the Intel people didn't seem to be interested in their story it was the worst of Both Worlds for months Lou Elizondo and former assistant deputy secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Miller had been working behind the scenes to organize a meeting between the two pilots and members of Congress if people see the evidence they'll understand and they'll find it compelling sometimes it's only by bringing the information public and bringing to the attention of Congress that you get action [Music] lizondo is driving across the country when one of the pilots retired Navy Commander David fraver calls to tell him the unprecedented meeting has just taken place fantastic and they ask you some hard good questions on the record oh my God phenomenal fraver tells Elizondo that he and his wingman pilot met in secret with members of Congress responsible for National Security hold dude the Senators don't want their names revealed because of the sensitivity of the issue the Press was not informed and the meeting is not found on any official schedule do you feel positive that it was well received well congratulations you just made history brother again for the first time in history U.S senators were brief for the record on UFOs affecting U.S military aircraft in operations for Elizondo this meeting is the first step in an effort to wake lawmakers up to a serious threat to National Security how does the story end I have no idea who it was or what it was maybe it's Elon Musk or somebody out there coming up with some you know disruptive technology that's going to change our lives like an iPhone you know if you'd show me an iPhone when I was in high school I would have thought it was voodoo magic I hope it ends peacefully you have to ask yourself is it ET or is it Independence Day you know what's the intent and right now we don't know [Music] I promise I will try not to Yammer on too long I don't think necessarily disclosure is an event I think it's a process and I think that process began we trust the American people to know that there are certain countries that have nuclear warheads pointed at New York and Los Angeles that could wipe out millions of people in an instant and yet we don't trust the American people to know that there's something in our airspace that we don't know what it is there's a lot more I don't know than I do know but that's okay that's why we have to continue to seek to find the answers and collect the data because ultimately the data will speak for itself I think the public is closer to understanding the UFO mystery than in any time in my lifetime it's astonishing and yeah it's it's a little bit scary it's worst case scenario I would tell you already it's too late because it's here so we have a choice we can live with our heads buried in the sand and hope it goes away or we can take her head out of the sand and try to figure out how it works but it doesn't really care what we think in this room because it's here this season on unidentified [Applause] get those voices you know those voices guys yeah elizondo's mission to track down more eyewitnesses if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I don't know if I would have believed it either it was raining UFOs leads him to reveal a disturbing pattern they disappeared down off the coast I could tell you the Latin long I saw a little sphere Suddenly It's shot it moved like that fast and to expose an even larger threat these UFOs had an intense interest in anything nuclear what are they and where are they from the beams went down into the weapon storage area and I'm thinking oh my God now these objects have a global presence helicopter arrived and they requested all the data reporting they didn't want the world to know which is scary you don't know what else they're covering up unidentified vehicles or operating at will in restricted airspace just minutes from the nation's capital thousands of people experienced unidentified flying objects it's time to look into it tonight on unidentified before I knew it I had these objects raining out of the sky it was raining UFOs it wasn't an event it was events a helicopter arrived they requested all the data recording there's things right off Catalina that the U.S military continued to encounter we don't know what they are we have an obligation to try to figure it out we are getting our asses kicked if these things are hostile then we're screwed good the Pentagon has confirmed the existence of the advanced Aerospace threat identification program that studied UFOs and they released video for eight years Lou Elizondo ran a secret UFO program for the U.S military but in 2017 he quit in protest I put my entire future on the line because I believe in what I believe in now he's joined an elite group of former government insiders their mission reveal what they say is the truth about UFOs U.S airspace is being violated by vehicles of Unknown Origin with Advanced capabilities this is real and we're gonna get to the bottom of it get your government to do what it's supposed to do and find out what this is wake up this is real wake up the gentleman we're going to talk to today his name is Kevin day he was on board the USS Princeton the day of the Nimitz incident and he's now coming forward to say I saw something I experienced something I witnessed something that was remarkable it would be really interesting if he corroborates some of the Pilot's testimony Kevin day is the very first person who noticed these anomalous things in the sky the further away we got from the city and the more remote it became the more I realized that this is a person who decide to get away [Music] and get away for a long time Lou Elizondo and Tom Delong are on their way to interview a third military eyewitness to an alleged Mass UFO sighting a Navy veteran who says he has critical new information about the event hello hey sir it must be Lou I am Lou how are you sir good morning guys thanks this is Tom how are you Bob I'm talking tom nice to meet you nice to meet you as well I didn't know you were at the Top Gun course yeah the air controllers go through school with the pilots getting them to the fighting back without getting shot down Kevin day was the chief radar specialist on the USS Princeton Kevin day was a senior enlisted guy in the Navy and you do not get the rank he got to unless you're very very good the intent of this interview is to get your perspectives of course we don't want to do it at the sacrifice of national security so I won't ask you anything classified I won't ask you to provide any information that's classified or sensitive you bet so from beginning to end tell me your story I guess it's the best way to jump in we were off the coast San Diego Nimitz Strat group getting ready to go on deployment the Princeton was part of the USS Nimitz carrier strike group won a training Mission Southwest of San Diego Kevin Day dispatched two pilots to intercept an unidentified craft he picked up on radar it didn't fly like an aircraft it's about 40 feet long it's white it has no wings it has no rotors it has no control surfaces it's literally think of a white Tic Tac this image of the tic-tac-shaped object was captured by an f-18's weapon systems camera it was so unnerving because it was so unpredictable but the story began four days earlier when Kevin Day says he started seeing strange tracks on his radar right around the evening of the 10th of November all these contacts were popping up and my radar coverage right off Catalina Island but by Los Angeles at first it was like 10 or 12 objects watching them on display was like watching the snowfall in the sky day says the ship system tracked the unidentified objects dropping down from the upper atmosphere and then flying south it would appear to be an organized formation at an altitude of 28 000 feet the relative position didn't change from each other they're going real slow 28 000 feet at 100 knots which is extremely weird usually things that high don't travel that slowly because they'll fall out of the sky do me a favor um on this piece of paper Pretend This is the screen okay okay sure tell me what you're seeing so you got the carrier you got the Princeton Chaffee and the Higgins and up here by Catalina Island I see these objects like this look kind of just like that and they're all going 100 knots tracking to the South if you added them all up there was well over a hundred contacts according to Kevin Day an entire fleet of UFOs was flying unimpeded through the Navy's exercise warning area off the West Coast [Music] the Princeton was equipped with the military's most sophisticated radar system known as the Aegis spy one it provides a 3D 360 degree view of the entire battle space the USS Princeton if you will is the eyes and the ears for the battle group spy one can simultaneously track hundreds of air contacts and can identify virtually anything that flies and eliminated the fact that they could have been a friendly aircraft of some kind or enemy aircraft of some kind nothing to really fit there's no recognized signature that you're picking up it's becoming evident that these things are really UFOs they are unidentified flying objects I didn't have a better word for it right I was just chomping at the bit I just wanted to intercept these things so the captain J.L Smith comes down to combat I said sir um I think we should intercept these things I reached out and I hooked one of them on the large screen display but also this object drops 28 000 feet down to the surface of the ocean and I figured it out later as a 0.78 seconds if Kevin day's calculations are correct the object he saw would have been moving at the astounding speed of 24 000 miles per hour over 30 times the speed of sound so the captain said yeah let's intercept the one and I was like hell yeah after tracking the strange objects for days on November 14 2004 the Princeton's radar room finally took control we grabbed one of the flights that was doing the check flight off the carrier it just happened to be Commander forever's flight the Princeton control comes up and says hey fast Eagle 110 this is poison we're gonna suspend training we have real world tasking Commander David fraver and his wingman pilot had been on a training run received the order to intercept they got into an area what we call merge plot where the pilot is in the visual arena with whatever they're intercepting it was so unpredictable high G rapid velocity rapid acceleration so you're wondering you know how can I possibly fight this and also at Norfolk radio we're here oh my God oh my God I'm engaged I'm engaged I'm thinking I'm gonna be watching Dave says he watched as the Tic Tac escaped the fighter jets climbing with an extraordinary burst of acceleration right back up to 28 000 feet day says the dramatic encounter was just the beginning at that point we get a bunch of other aircraft are launching off the carriers and all these other intercepts are happening one of the Jets was able to capture this video that would go on to make headlines around the world before I knew it I had these objects raining out of the sky it was raining UFOs and all these other intercepts were happening and before I knew it I had these objects raining out of the sky it was raining UFOs for eight years Lou Elizondo ran the advanced Aerospace threat identification program or atip a Secret Pentagon unit that investigated UFOs now he's working with a team of former government insiders assembled by Tom Delong their mission reveal what they say is the truth about UFOs they're starting with the Nimitz incident the full story of which has never been told until now I'm telling you it was the most humbling experience of my life in his first on-camera interview this former Navy radar specialist claims he watched an entire fleet of tic-tac-shaped UFOs evade Navy f-18s not only do you have the pilots seeing this Tic Tac but you have another eyewitness that's 20 miles away on another ship you've got to ask yourself are The Radars being spoofed another camera's faulty every time these things will get in the visual Arena they would fall out of the sky wait till the Interceptor had left and they'd pop right back up to 28 000 feet right back where they were and continue going 100 knots it was as if they wanted to be left alone later on Shore Kevin Day says he spoke with Commander David fraver a pilot who went head-to-head with the Tic Tacs I was asking him what the hell man what what happened he said Mako I gotta tell you that thing kicked my ass and that kind of Furby I said okay that's enough I'm going to write an after action report I got to document this but when Dave says he tried to document what happened he searched the ship's computers for the radar data and communication recordings well strangely enough all the columns were gone all of our external Communications for that whole intercept were gone which is supposed to be impossible so either someone took the old disc and replaced it or somehow it was actually erased but the time code is there yeah but the recordings were not right so I'm trying to understand how yeah that's really wow I don't I don't have a good answer I don't know they claims the files were gone but he was able to write down a critical piece of information these things were going somewhere they fell off my radar envelope down off the coast of Baja California okay there's a little group of islands down off the coast and right there they disappeared several hundred miles they all go into that same Latin long down they all they all went to the same spot I could tell you I could tell you the Latin one the geographic coordinates where day says the Tic Tacs disappeared off his radar Elite here 180 miles south of San Diego off the Mexican Coast Kevin Day adds a layer of expertise that we didn't have before with those electronic eyes Kevin Day can see things that the naked eye cannot and he adds an entirely new dimension to this investigation did the captain seem concerned or agitated or what was his reaction he I can only guess what he was thinking but he was didn't seem concerned at all I think he was trying to resist the idea that there were UFOs um why let me ask you why would he want to why does anybody in the Navy uh want to resist the idea of UFOs because they don't want to get scoffed at they want to get made fun of especially for a guy trying to make Admiral you know sure there's a lot of emotion and there's a lot of feelings behind this issue and there's a lot of stigma but it was this guy Kevin Day who had the courage to come forward and say awesome I don't know what these are let's figure this out you know I was looking around I was like you know all the years all the money and all the expertise and all the talent ever everyone around me in this whole Strat group and there's nothing we can do if these things are hostile then we're screwed thank you my friend thank you you're welcome outstanding and I mean I mean it sincerely it's been an honor and pleasure [Music] one thing is to know that there was somebody looking at a radar scope another thing is to talk to the guy who went to the Top Gun school and he's telling you we don't know what these things are that absolutely blew my mind and he's the one that called for The Intercept yeah and now you know what else too he's got the lat Longs he provided us on where these things may have went we don't know if they've kind of just fell off the radar or if there's something there but either way we gotta check it out back in Southern California Elizondo was updating the team on his extraordinary interview with Kevin Day Tom and I went to go visit an individual who was in the radar room at the time of the Tic Tac event he was the senior most individual responsible for that radar so here's the bottom line it wasn't an event it was events and it occurred over a longer period of time than we thought the other thing that is really interesting is he says there's data somewhere at some other server and he goes find that data former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon has tried to track down the records from the Nimitz Fleet for that week one of the frustrating but very intriguing things about this is the one I suggested to someone on the hill that they try to obtain the deck logs from the prison for that date the National Archives said the prison logs for that date are missing those deck logs should be there and we know officially now that they're not and it's not due to classification but do you feel unfortunate because if they had been there that might be another way to corroborate some of these reporters what I would like to do in this case is be able to corroborate this with another witness from absolutely the radar room I think it would be much to our advantage to make to find a second source with the deck logs allegedly missing Kevin day's testimony May hold the key to unlocking a larger Mystery One Elizondo was unable to answer when he was at the Pentagon why were these strange craft appearing just off the West Coast and where exactly were they heading it takes weeks but Elizondo was able to find another witness from the USS Princeton a radar technician who served with Kevin Day it was nothing usual about all this man I mean there was other normals of the whole situation wow let me let me ask you something would you be available to talk to you in person [Music] My Hope Is that we'll make a serious credible effort to acquire and analyze data which can tell us whether this UFO issue actually does involve some other civilization or reveals a breakthrough on the part of of adversaries or even potentially an ally this is sort of inexcusable to me that we don't make the small amount of effort required to answer such a profound question hey Gary hey former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon is meeting the fourth Navy eyewitness from the USS Nimitz UFO encounter the more eyewitnesses you can have the better we were successful in setting up a meeting with this individual and so Chris Mellon being a former very senior person in the Department of Defense I knew he would have some some really good perspectives I feel like coffee strong oh thanks so much Gary Voris was a technician on board the nimitz's radar ship the USS Princeton he's never spoken publicly about the strange events of November 2004. and what he has to say might provide a missing piece of critical information well Gary thanks again so much for taking the time yeah without a doubt it's definitely there there is something going on what was the first indication something unusual was occurring um the first indication I heard Rory is a Story begins four days before the pilots intercepted the UFO the Spy guys came out and it was like oh we got we got clutter and we got Fly Guys in terms of the radar system yeah the guys that specifically work on just buy one Bravo radar they came down and asked me you know reset all the computer systems the Princeton had already picked up three strange objects their Aegis spy one radar couldn't identify thinking that the system was malfunctioning the technicians rebooted the computers brought it all back up and lo and behold they're there still and then we started getting confirmation from the other ships that they were seeing it too what were you seeing at that point we were just seeing three tracks three tracks were they hovering sometimes they were only going a couple hundred knots sometimes they seem stationary sometimes they move relatively fast the way that they kind of went around us it was almost like they were just monitoring us senior radar specialist Kevin Day says he watched as many as a hundred of the mysterious craft fly through the Navy's airspace with impunity over the coming days it was raining UFOs finally on the fourth day he scrambled two f-18s to intercept one of them when one of the pilots arrived on the scene he says she spotted a single UFO hovering over the water there was something in the water there was a churning we were all clamoring to get on the radio is that we tracked it going from 30 000 feet down to sea level like within no time at all and sonar said they got a hit Voorhees claims the ship's sonar operators had seen something else extraordinary the object plunged into the ocean and then accelerated to a speed twice as fast as the Navy's fastest attack submarine according to an is one of the sonar guys they were going 70 plus knots under the water the USS Louisville a 6 000 ton nuclear-powered submarine was patrolling just below the surface Vorhees says he spoke with the subsonar team to try to understand what was happening you heard firsthand from the sonar technicians that they got ahead yeah do you have uh names of those individuals none of them want to talk about you've reached out to them they don't want to pretty much you got who will say anything okay and there was only one sonar guy I could get a hold of and he doesn't wanna he doesn't want to go on record he doesn't want anything to do with it matter of fact he had asked me not to contact him ever again let's talk about uh how the tapes are normally handled well strangely enough all the columns were gone they claims the Princeton's Communications for that week were erased but he doesn't know how or why Voorhees says something even stranger happened a helicopter arrived people got off the helicopter they came in and then they requested all the data recording and right after that I was requested to hand over all the data recording tapes and anything that wasn't recorded on during the event I was to your race just in case there was anything on it and uh and why was that where you provided an explanation no no I wouldn't have been previewed any explanation it was just expected of me to do it how unusual was this request to destroy to raise this data it was completely unprecedented I'd never been asked to take to destroy data ever so and there was no scuttlebutt about where these tapes were going for what purpose or anything basically I just understood that they were going Gary Voorhees corroborates important details of the other eyewitness's dramatic accounts but his story raises an even more troubling possibility that the Navy was involved in a cover-up of a Potential Threat to National Security it's very curious rather conspiratorial almost the the idea that a helicopter landed and he was asked to download the data and and hand it off that raises a whole host of questions about what's really going on behind the scenes I am aware that there are other incidents that occurred involving military Assets in and around this area before the USS Nimitz and frankly after the USS Nimitz so the question is how significant were they and is there an explanation for what is being encountered in and around this area luellizando is on Santa Catalina Island 47 miles off the coast of Los Angeles come here searching for answers to why a fleet of UFOs allegedly first appeared off the Island's Shores I'm looking on the radar and up here by Catalina Island I see these objects like this you're all tracking to the South you need radar specialist Kevin Day told Elizondo a mysterious Fleet of UFOs was first tracked over the Catalina Channel and then flew South through the Navy's training area I had these objects raining out of the sky why is there an interest here in and around these Waters Catalina Island apparently is attracting these uaps for whatever reason we don't know yet it was a pleasure to meet you very good to meet you parts of Catalina are off limits to the public so Elizondo has met up with Hillary Holt who works for the islands Conservancy see how Catalina is here so this area called the Continental Borderland is kind of this hodgepodge of continental crust and oceanic crust everything to the West is on the Pacific tectonic plate Orient me here for a second because I'm looking here and I feel like I'm almost surrounded by by mountains so LAX is over here exactly LAX is pretty close you got to populate metropolitan area right there back in 2004 U.S Nimitz carrier battle group was right out there lights are being picked up in the sky and on radar and Visually over there most of the time at 30 000 feet coming in over the water sometimes they're literally going from that side of the sky to that side of the sky in seconds historically there have been several events right here from a national security perspective our job is to own the battle space if we don't know what's in disguire we don't know what's below the water then that's a problem and there's things that are right around here and we don't know what they are we have an obligation to try to figure it out Catalina has a secret of history that dates back to World War II when the military built a network of fortifications to protect against an invasion of the Mainland there's absolutely different places across the island where you can find evidence of past military operations and during World War II Toyon Bay was a training center for the oss the precursor to the CIA you can go down the road and there are old radio towers and radio bunkers being down here is it just reinforces to me the idea that Catalina Island is a strategic location and is a point of interest when I was talking with people about doing this show even just in the last week you know I had a lot of people say oh I've seen something weird I've seen uh something before there was something or is something in this area that may be of significant strategic interest now as I was bringing you APS I don't know and unless I look at it for myself I'll never know for decades Catalina has been a hot spot for reports of unidentified aerial phenomena the most credible sighting was reported by Kelly Johnson the founder of Lockheed Martin's legendary Skunk Works Division and The Mastermind of the SR-71 Blackbird on January 20th 1954 Johnson filed this official Report with the Air Force in which he and two test pilots describe seeing a large craft flying north of Catalina Kelly was at his Ranch and the other gentleman were up doing flight test so they saw it from two different Vantage points which is interesting it wasn't just from a single Vantage Point Steve Justice spent 31 years at Skunk Works as one of its top Aviation designers and is now a key member of Lu elizondo's team in light of elizondo's Nimitz investigation he's taken a fresh look at his predecessor's account the most significant part of Kelly's memo is the fact that it was profound enough that he felt compelled to write it down and send it to the Air Force tells me he considered it to be really really important the Air Force concluded Johnson saw a rare cloud formation Justice says that explanation doesn't make sense I've read a number of analyzes online where they conclude it was lenticular clouds or something there are some clouds that look that way but they don't move that way and that's what sticks in my head so what explains the reports of UFOs in this same area 50 years later the answer May lie in Catalina's strategic location 180 miles north is Vandenberg Air Force Base home to some of the military's most advanced Aerospace programs and recently Elon musk's private SpaceX Rockets due south is the Navy's whiskey 291 warning area where the 2004 Nimitz encounter took place could the unidentified craft that appeared near Catalina be part of a top-secret military test and where the pilots unwitting test subjects Brian Bender was one of the first reporters to reveal elizondo's secret UFO program there's this reasonable hypothesis that these are Advanced military aircraft that only a very few number of government officials know about and they're being tested and they're being seen and they're being reported and that could explain why the government sort of doesn't want to talk about it because they want to Shield these secret military aircraft programs one of the pilots who encountered the Tic Tac shaped UFO during the Nimitz event questioned whether what she was seeing was part of an experimental aircraft test when I got back to the ship when I was frustrated that nobody was taking it seriously one of my theories was were we vectored into a live range was that a submarine that launched something and was re-submerging I have to be careful because I was part of atip and you know I don't want to give the false conclusion that you know I'm trying to find an answer that I already have but truth be told I had access to a lot of information I can tell you there are several antenna rates here that are absolutely connected to some sort of government activity so the question is did they play a role in the 2004 events [Music] has returned from his mission to Catalina Island brother Steve how are you good got a few minutes yes he's meeting with his team member Steve Justice one of the most respected Aviation experts in the U.S got a couple questions for you as the Director of Advanced Technologies at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Justice led the highly classified development of America's F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter Elizondo wants to explore the theory that what the pilots from the USS Nimitz and others witnessed was in fact a top secret government test that they hadn't been briefed on Steve Justice worked at Lockheed Martin which is entrusted with billions of taxpayer dollars to build some of the most advanced weapon systems in the world it's possible in this case that there is some very secret military aircraft program that is so secret and is shared with so few people that blue Elizondo doesn't know about it so Steve I can't completely eliminate the fact that you know those type of velocities potentially potentially are achievable with certain Technologies we have the 2004 Nimitz incident a tic-tac-shaped UFO had allegedly reached velocities as high as 30 times the speed of sound does this technology look like anything you worked on while at Skunk Works and could this have been one of those those Technologies so I'm not going to talk about anything I do Skunk Works while his work at Lockheed Martin is classified Justice is aware of a test flight that happened the same week as the Nimitz incident when NASA launched a Hypersonic unmanned craft the x-43 scramjet in the same airspace now the x-43 is interesting you know the fact that it flew in this time frame can you make it a suspect well let's sit back and analyze it from several perspectives here's a photo from NASA of the x-43 hanging on the wing of a B-52 you can see the work Crews well Lisa they saw a 40-foot vehicle this whatever this Tic Tac was was 40 feet and that is backed up by radar in the video so the speed itself the x43 was Hypersonic which means it was Mach 5 or above so here's what it takes to accelerate that's a huge signature man I mean that's just everybody's gonna see that thing for 100 miles so that's me disqualifies that's that's a disqualifying element yeah in and of itself what altitude well here's here's a strange part it was seen at a lot of altitudes anywhere between 80 000 feet down to sea level okay you know Hypersonic vehicles that we work on today want to be above 50 000 feet as we step back and look at all the different pieces of evidence that we have you know this image and we have you know from that incident you know you don't you don't see any exhaust plumes uh and they would show up in this in this type of image um the shape is wrong the the flight regime the point in the sky that it flies is wrong how it flies is wrong you know the parts we have right are some Hypersonic velocities without going into specific Technologies you did a lot of work for the Skunk Works and and I'm just kind of curious does this scenario fit common pattern the way you guys test your your classified pro programs I'm not even going to talk about how it how you test classified stuff it's possible but it means that somebody would know doesn't mean everybody would know but some people would know that you're going to be operating near that area so it it's it's possible um you know if if the Admiral uh in charge didn't make a report it could be because you know it was an operational test you know not everybody gets to know everything I would love it if it turned out that these were secret U.S aircraft that were developed in some remote underground facility and that we've achieved that kind of technological breakthrough that would be fabulous here are the reasons that we don't think that is in fact the case we do not operate test aircraft in the vicinity of carrier battle groups without some prayer coordination it would be completely uncharacteristic of the military to operate in such a strange haphazard manner if that did happen it would probably happen only once those people would be replaced in a hurry it's hard to conceive of a secret military test program that explains all of these instances not just here in the United States but around the world I was on the committee that reviewed all of those programs it was nothing like that on the drawing boards when I was in the Pentagon Steve worked at the Skunk Works the Lockheed Martin he's not aware of anything remotely like this Lou ran all the traps in the Pentagon checked with the Army Navy everybody said those are not ours you know definitively so while we can't prove the negative the evidence we have suggests these are not U.S vehicles you've been out on the road a lot okay and it seems like more people are coming forward anything change your mind no it's only reinforced our original position to be honest with you [Music] we've come a long way in just eight months a real long way we have all the pilots that flew that day that were involved in the alleged Tic Tac incident have come forward I think that's huge Lou Elizondo Tom Delong Chris Mellon and the team have made major breakthroughs in their investigation of the 2004 Tic Tac event we've actually learned some more information believe it or not what happened that day some very compelling information I am delighted that we are able to give voice to these military personnel and their experiences but these guys and what we're up against is overcoming this incredible stigma that surrounds this topic the mysterious UFO encounters over the USS Nimitz carrier strike group are finally coming into Focus the team has corroborated the accounts of four military eyewitnesses Two fighter pilots who say they were sent to hunt down one of the tic-tac-ship UFOs we couldn't help but admit that we saw it because we all saw it together do we want to not do anything and just hope they're nice to radar Personnel who say they tracked an entire fleet of tic tacs of course of four days we are getting our asses kicked right here according to one of the sonar guys they were going 70 plus knots under the water they pretty much just went wherever they wanted when you look at this problem holistically you start seeing patterns patterns emerge for over 70 years the US military investigated UFO sightings thousands of documents the UFOs are often described as saucers or discs but there are also reports of shapes eerily similar to the 40-foot long Tic Tac the Nimitz Pilots encountered this 1964 report describes a flying object shaped like a butane tank and as long as a telephone pole the more similarities we can find the more congruencies we can identify the more congruencies we can identify I think the more we'll be able to make an honest determination of what these things are doing it wasn't until 2009 the Elizondo says the Pentagon was able to establish a larger pattern in the early stages of atip we're collecting anything and everything related to frankly the phenomenon we had reports coming from the Navy we had Pilots reports we had gun camera footage we had radar returns we had investigations that were done by highly trained people some of the observations begin to really get into focus in 2009. former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon has obtained a briefing document created by the pentagon's secret UFO unit the presentation contains a global map of hot spots where U.S and other military assets encountered UFOs this is an example of the kind of data that is available and hasn't been pulled because nobody's in charge nobody's analyzing the issues the red dots are reported UFO activity blew our military facilities this official Department of Defense map has never been released to the public within this large Circle is Baja San Diego and then the the Navy's uh exercise operating area where they conduct Fleet exercises so here we have a document that says the United States is defenseless against a threat that we have identified in an extraordinary and alarming report and here we are 10 years later essentially in the same position the Pentagon unit suggested the U.S military would be unable to defend itself against the UFO's hyper advanced technology those hot spots were seen all the way back in 1950 the fact that we continue to see these things in our airspace over our military equities time and time again and we still don't know what it is and where it's coming from at this point just throw the white flag up and give up the briefing was created for a presentation to senior defense officials and warns if the government continues to ignore the threat America's adversaries could crack the technology and develop deadly new weapons that would disrupt the balance of power this is a live activity we don't know what it is even after all this research if they are a potential adversary like Russia or China that's made some huge leap in technology we better know about it given some of these capabilities they're demonstrating they could very easily shut out the lights we know this is happening now we know it's real and until we get some answers we shouldn't rest easy this is not a Navy problem this is not a Air Force problem there's not an intelligence Community problem this may be a much bigger holistic global problem these guys are obsessed they spent their life defending the country and now they're confronted with a phenomenon that potentially could be threatening Chris and Lou repeatedly say listen I know everybody thinks of Little when you look at the data the nimet was not an isolated event I know what I saw even if I don't know what it is I know I saw it do you know what it's like to serve your country only to have someone come out and say you're crazy the Pentagon has confirmed the existence of the advanced Aerospace threat identification program that studied UFOs and they released video my gosh for eight years Lou Elizondo ran a secret UFO program for the U.S military but in 2017 he quit in protest I put my entire future on the line because I believe in what I believe in now he's joined an elite group of former government insiders their mission reveal what they say is the truth about UFOs U.S airspace is being violated by vehicles of Unknown Origin with Advanced capabilities this is real and we're going to hit the bottom of it I've seen too much I've talked to many people I can't a good conscious just keep my head buried in the sand so while investigating the limits incident we came across some information that leads us to believe that there may be a particular area Rally Point so to speak where some of these things are going that's a big deal at a minimum we need to get down to that site and we need to figure out what's going on Lou Elizondo is following an extraordinary break in his investigation into a major military UFO sighting off the West Coast the fall of 2004 two F-18 pilots from the USS Nimitz told Elizondo they came face to face with a bizarre tic-tac-shaped object high G rapid velocity rapid acceleration hello we don't have that you know and I'm talking we're flying one of the Premier airplanes on the planet but the incident wasn't an isolated event a Navy technician revealed the craft allegedly traveled underwater at nearly two times the speed of the fastest U.S submarine according to one of the sonar guys they were going 70 plus knots under the water and another Navy radar specialist says he attract as many as a hundred of the strange craft for days they fell off my radar envelope down off the coast of Baja California okay these things were going somewhere I can tell you the Latin long we now have a very good lead on a potential hotspot what does that mean I don't know what does it mean are these things can you see them all the time flying around out there is it under water what about the locals these were all other things now that we can use to help us start collecting additional data points and putting the pieces of the puzzle together hey how are you brother good man I'm pulling right up joining Elizondo is a new member of the investigation who himself was a witness to the strange events of November 2004. different people have different motivations for for coming forward I mean These Are Soldiers or Sailors who've been involved in something extraordinary they're not quite sure what to make of it but they want the truth to come out how are you my friend very good how's things going they're outstanding today Sean Cahill served 20 years in the Navy he was the top security officer on the USS Princeton a missile Cruiser in the USS Nimitz carrier strike group Cahill was responsible for Law and Order aboard the ship and running counter-terrorism patrols at sea tell me when this event began for you we were told Nimitz has got something going on they've got something in their space Cahill is the fifth Navy witness to come forward this is the first time he has spoken publicly about the events we're getting calls up on the bridge to run out on the bridge wing and let us know if you see anything they'd give us an angle and they say do you see anything out there and a few times we even turn the ship and I recall saying what are we looking for and I think that there were some of the Nimitz has got some some strange contacts they obviously had something on radar they wanted us to see if we could put eyes on it they didn't tell us what we were looking for we went out on the um the bridge wing and me and one of my Lookouts were scanning the sky what Cahill witnessed has haunted him for 15 years so we were both looking up ahead about 45 degrees angle and there was a constellation of lights up there let me get this straight you're looking up and you see these pattern of lights they all changed position so I'm moving inward towards the center some moving outward but all rotating as it rotated some of the lights disappeared and then they were gone I didn't see a trail I didn't see any effect it was just there was a light there and then there was no longer light there but the night was clear this was not Stars being occluded by clouds that was when I got I as I get the Goosebumps right now I got really interested in what was going on what the hell is this keho is the first eyewitness to describe this abrupt and extraordinary movement of multiple craft if Princeton had it on the radar why isn't this on the news every night that something we don't understand is present in our atmosphere coming and going as it pleases with absolute impunity over our military Cahill's account bolsters the testimony of his shipmate Kevin Day the next morning I wouldn't check my email and I had a video from the black Asian Squadron the following morning at breakfast I talked to Kevin Day and another chief petty officer who's a radar operator and I said to them what was going on last night and the chief grunted at me go look at your email I go in the back and I log on and there's the video the next morning Cahill and day watched a longer version of this video captured by an f-18's camera it's the same video that wouldn't be seen again until more than a decade later when Elizondo helped get it released to the public in 2017. every night we would have an operations intelligence briefing so I kind of smirk and I walk in because I'm like wow maybe we're going to hear something maybe we're going to find out what was going on now as they start the briefing the young officer in charge gave the little nod to the person running the computer and you know next slide and as they hit the space bar a caricature of a of a flying saucer with a little green alien moves across the screen the room erupts in laughter and that was it Captain said well we all we had a little bit of fun I guess you guys were chasing something around but that's over now let's get on with briefing I'm an Intel guy it's not uncommon that if you have a person in a particular position of trust and you want to keep them quiet that ridicule can be used as some sort of Leverage nobody raised an eyebrow and it didn't seem like anybody cared we weren't even told not to talk about it and that was one of the things that that struck me as being um how do I put it delegitimize the experience and I got to a point where I pretended like it didn't happen to be honest with you someone tells you something you encountered is not real and that you're crazy um and you got nowhere to go finally after 15 years of carrying this secret around somebody was paying attention it was real and other people experienced it too and he wasn't going crazy how we doing brother morning how you doing you know any day above ground's a good day yeah I went down that one I've asked Sean to come with us on this trip he is a trained investigator knows how to ask the right questions he also has personal investment in it I think Sean would like some answers himself Cahill is joining Elizondo on a mission to Mexico following a lead from a Navy radar operator Kevin Day provided us a completely new piece of the puzzle we never had before they provided the coordinates where he says a fleet of UFOs disappeared off Navy radar we can actually now go to the location and we can try to figure out if there's any type of down off the coast of Baja California I can tell you the Latin long the coordinates lead here a small remote Mexican island called Guadalupe what I'd really like to see is for us to take the event from 2004 and to show if this phenomena has continued post 2004. because this is a part of the Nimitz story that that not only has never been told has ever really been explored in order to keep his work for the military's UFO unit secret Elizondo couldn't interview civilian Witnesses I think there's goodness in casting a wide net try to get as many people that we can to come on record and tell us what they've seen my frustration when I was an atip was I was always stuck focusing only on Military individuals well this is the first time you've been able to to not hide right I hate to put it that way but you don't have to hide behind anything you can ask the questions now right the journey to Guadalupe Island starts here Ensenada Mexico is a major hub for commercial and tourist fishing Elizondo and Cahill want to know if locals here have seen strange things in the sky I'm used to speaking with military people who are experts but I think in the end it comes down to to sheer volume and commonalities if you have people that are both trained observers and untrained Observers telling you the same thing there is a really good possibility that they are both describing a similar event teamed up with Jordi libreja a Mexican journalist who says he's heard stories about unexplained sightings in Baja California for years so Jordy who's the gentleman we're going to be meeting today he's a pilot and he does a lot of flights to Guadalupe and he has seen crazy things as well the briha set up a meeting with a commercial pilot who spots bluefin tuna for fishermen between the Baja coast and Guadalupe that's his plane 172. yes what year uh well 83 wow it's a beautiful beautiful bird Adrian Ojeda has spent 18 years flying over these Waters but it only took a few seconds to change everything he knew about Aviation thank you again for your time and for your courage to come forward thank you because this is something like I don't tell not so many people because they think you're crazy or you're you know but so yeah please just start from the beginning yeah it was January 30 2015 around three o'clock in the afternoon this is the first time Ojeda has gone on record about the strange object he saw so it was coming around 23 miles south of Encinal on the afternoon of January 30th 2015. Ojeda says he was flying over the Pacific just 20 miles Northeast from where two U.S Navy pilots from the USS Nimitz intercepted a tic-tac-shaped UFO 11 years earlier can you give me a rough understanding of size shape color I thought the beginning was just a bowl but when but when it goes so close it was like this form did you notice if it had any Windows no if you have wings no flight surfaces no windows no wings no not smooth smooth and clean yeah oh here this is the object moved erratically unlike any aircraft he had ever seen when you see an airplane it goes straight you know but this was kind of like he also believes the object reacted to his presence it was so far when I just turned the lights and as soon as I turned the lights right at you get straight to me so it was around 10 miles yeah 10 miles and then you kick on the lights and all of a sudden three seconds three seconds like that as he turned on his lights Ojeda says the object flew straight at him at 12 000 miles an hour or more than 15 times the speed of sound this pilot really reinforced some of the observables that we've already noticed before according to Elizondo a Secret Pentagon investigation cataloged a set of five incredible capabilities the UFOs shared he calls them the observables instantaneous acceleration Hypersonic velocities just really bizarre behavior something that you would not expect a traditional aircraft to be able to do were there any other reports by any other pilots in the area that day of anything strange in the air that you're aware now that I know I am my international waters sometimes I see the carers and the f80 you see those kind of airplanes in no way it was an aircraft ojeda's 2015 account has an eerie similarity to the U.S Navy's 2004 Tic-Tac incident and all of a sudden it goes and it kind of turns we're like okay now it knows we're here he just rapidly accelerates beyond anything that I've ever seen crosses my nose and it's gone have the same craft been flying off the Baja Coast for years uh California Peninsula is known across Mexico as a hot spot for UFO sightings for decades local fishermen have reported strange luminescent objects over the Pacific Ocean it's our understanding that you may have seen something very interesting in the water is 99 of all reported sightings have a rational explanation typically these are things that are man-made or some sort of weather phenomena or atmospheric anomaly so it's imperative we keep a critical eye on every report the fishermen may not be trained military Observers but they all have similar accounts of spherical objects flying in ways they can't explain in one part of their story stands out [Music] luellizando and Sean Cahill are in Mexico investigating one of the most important UFO incidents in the history of the U.S military the 2004 USS Nimitz encounter very nice to meet you sir thank you thank you for your time they're interviewing local fishermen who have seen strange things in the sky and under the water from our understanding you may have some interesting information regarding strange things in or near the water is same thing is like coming out of the water and moving fishermen seeing lights under the water lights underneath their boat things coming out of the sky and floating and hovering above the water and then splashing into the water I was struck by some of the similarities in particular with the Nimitz incident in 2004 the Navy pilot who intercepted a tic-tac-shaped UFO first saw churning water below the craft my heart think there was something in the water and a Navy radar technician ship track the tic-tac-shaped object moving underwater at a high rate of speed went from thirty thousand feet down to sea level and sonar said they got a hit they pretty much just went wherever they wanted the ability to seamlessly move through water air and space known as transmedium travel is one of the five observables elizondo's Secret Pentagon program identified these objects seem to be seen a lot around large bodies of water the spaghetti back here these folks for the most part are not necessarily trained observers but they do know the oceans very well and a lot of them are reporting some pretty interesting and in my opinion pretty compelling things that's like a Tic Tac dude let me ask you where were you when you saw this the fishermen all Point toward one location Guadalupe Island where senior Navy radar specialist Kevin Day told Elizondo a fleet of UFOs had disappeared off his radar in 2004. and Sonata is right here this is the the Bay right here okay we've got Guadalupe down here one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven different unique incidents we've got some amazing data here definitely a hot spot Guadalupe is calling us Guadalupe lies 150 miles off the Baja California coast sparsely populated island is home to a Mexican military weather station and is surrounded by a restricted Marine Refuge area teeming with great white sharks [Music] the next logical step is to get out there and see it for ourselves is there anything unique is there anything underneath the ocean the Topography is there anything strange and weird gotta get out there I think by going to Guadalupe we stand to gain um more clarity [Music] hopefully we can collect some good information what matters what the facts and the data say That's The Pursuit that's what drives me every single day we'll probably do about six and a half knots you're looking at 175 nautical miles out to where we need to be it's going to take us a good 25 hours to get out there when was the last time you were in these waters you know I have to do the math on it but I was in these waters for a number of years over the course of 2004 all the way to 2007 on and off wow yeah this is where the United States Navy on the west coast does a great deal of their training we've heard so much about this Guadalupe Island I hope we get a chance to talk to as many people as we can talk to other fishermen talk to anybody who's willing to come out and meet us and have the conversation I kind of want to consider some of the information that we picked up we had circular spherical objects described I hesitate to say saucer but a lenticular shape luminous right objects different colors of luminosity and we had objects that flew objects had hovered and objects that went into the water and in some cases objects that came from the deep up to the surface of the water I.E rings of light unidentified submerged objects known as Usos have been reported around the world by civilians and Military Witnesses for decades Allied warships taking part in exercise menres provided a formidable spectacle in 1952 military personnel taking part in a large-scale NATO exercise off Denmark reported seeing strange round craft flying above and below the water the incidents made International headlines and ever since Usos have become part of UFO lore we know that there is a geomagnetic anomaly just north of the island and it is significant adding to the mystery surrounding Guadalupe A variation in the Earth's magnetic field known as a magnetic anomaly is just off the Island's northern coast when you look at the map there are no magnetic anomalies anywhere within hundreds and hundreds of miles of that Island except two hot spots right north of the island could that have anything to do with what we're seeing we don't know I think we we owe it to ourselves to collect more data I think it's our DNA to always search and find the truth whatever that truth is Lou was someone who had come into this issue very skeptical and came out of it almost a religious believer that wow this stuff is really happening these are really credible reports from pilots from other people that are not wacky he became someone who felt that it was his job to try and get more senior leaders in the Pentagon to pay attention to this eventually maybe get the public to pay attention the team is finally approaching Guadalupe where U.S Navy and Mexican eyewitnesses say something strange is in the air or under the water or both [Music] that's amazing 30 miles away you can see that thing after 20 hours on the Open Water Lou Elizondo and Sean Cahill have arrived at Guadalupe Island where a U.S Navy radar specialist reported a fleet of strange craft disappeared off his radar Scopes during the 2004 USS Nimitz UFO event [Music] this is a land That Time Forgot for sure ah it's just incredible Guadalupe was formed millions of years ago when two volcanoes erupted on the ocean floor today it's a marine refuge and access is strictly controlled by the Mexican Government as foreigners the team can't step foot on its Shores foreign but they found a group of fishermen who've seen things they can't explain [Music] how fast did it take off wow Chrome ball s [Music] these fishermen had never heard of the Nimitz incident but their accounts are similar to the U.S Navy Witnesses when you come back from fishing and someone sees something like this do they make fun of the person when they tell the story most of the people have seen strange things happening so they take it very seriously the fishermen take them to the Island's Rocky North Coast where most of the sightings have occurred it's also where a magnetic anomaly lies deep under the ocean wow I've never seen anything like this Elizondo and Cahill want to know if the strange sightings could have a scientific explanation Mauricio Hoyos is a world-renowned marine biologist we know your time is valuable thank you very much for spending with us oyos has been studying great white sharks on Guadalupe for over 15 years and documented what is believed to be the largest great white ever captured on film we are here because of several people have reported very interesting phenomena in the sky and even underwater and we wanted to get your scientific knowledge of these Waters well Guadalupe is a very important Place actually it's the best place to see white sharks in the world the visibility of the water it's more than 100 feet oh wow and sometimes you get to see more than 33 sharks in one day how come that these white sharks can't find this island in the middle of nowhere and we think that they have these sensors they are called the apple of laurenzini and they can detect the electromagnetic field of the earth so we think that they use that in order to get here believes great white sharks have a special ability to detect electromagnetic signals which helps them migrate to the island each year I was talking with one of the captains and he told me that every time that they are coming to Guadalupe he can see that the compass is like moving awkward that's interesting is there bioluminescence in these Waters they're actually very close to the shore bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon found in oceans all over the world it occurs when a chemical reaction in Sea Life emits light could this explain the luminescent objects in the water the fishermen of Guadalupe are seeing okay so do you ever see bioluminescence in circular patterns almost like a spotlight coming out of the water you have a small subversible right so there's lights on it I'm sure for navigation yes good fishermen around the island mistake you're submersible for a light under the water we have had submersible just in 2008 and I need a special permit for that if the swimmersible is here the big boat has to be here okay so you have a boat nearby so it's not isolated out in the middle of the ocean exactly according to oyos there is nothing he knows that can explain what the fisherman of Guadalupe are seeing you are a scientist and trained Observer in our book that's as good as it gets so hearing from you anything that you'd be willing to share with us would be immensely important is there anything you have seen that has been unusual yeah and I thought that it was a hallucination but my captain and I we saw the same thing we have lots of reports from fishermen around the island is there anything that you have seen that has been unusual yeah and I thought that it was a hallucination but my captain and I we saw the same thing Lou Elizondo and Sean Cahill are more than 100 miles off the coast of Mexico where a fleet of UFOs fell off U.S Navy radar during the USS Nimitz incident in 2004. in 2006 we started to track white sharks for 24 hours marine biologist Mauricio oyos has spent years collecting data on great white sharks but he can't explain what he saw early one morning in 2006. it was like 6 a.m and we were coming to the North and then I saw in that mountain I saw a little light like a little sphere I thought that it was a start but suddenly it shook it moved I thought oh my God I didn't sleep and maybe I am looking something that it's not real and then my captain asked me did you see that Could you actually see an object or was it more the light that you could see so it was a very bright object it was like a sphere I mean a perfect sphere like maybe in two seconds two seconds two seconds we didn't see anything so it didn't just disappeared yeah definitely exactly yeah yeah I know time is limited Sun's going to be going down don't want to take much more your time been super super helpful doctor thank you very much you're very welcome it has been an absolute pleasure thank you amazing as far back as 2009 the Pacific Ocean off Baja California was identified by elizondo's Pentagon program as part of a global pattern of UFO hot spots after days only open water interviewing multiple civilian Witnesses Elizondo now has evidence of a continuing UFO presence in the area the trip to Guadalupe Island was very well worthwhile the eyewitness testimony from folks from the Nimitz he just rapidly accelerates beyond anything that I've ever seen and it's gone was cooperated by civilians so between Guadalupe Island and Ensenada seems to be a real hot spot when you look at the data the nimit was not an isolated event in fact the Nimitz may have just happened to trip over one of these hot spots when they were doing their Maneuvers out there it's it's one of the pieces to the puzzle [Applause] but we would be remiss if we consider it the whole puzzle it's not [Music] the mission to Guadalupe Island provided valuable new information but for Elizondo and Cahill the journey was also personal being part of that incident on the USS Nimitz and now being here 14 years later right some time uh talk about a Cold Case what's it like I gotta be honest with you man I dig it why people don't come forward because it's isolating there were 5 000 people on Nimitz how many people saw it and aren't willing to come forward I know what I saw even if I don't know what it is I know I saw it it was on tape it was on radar I mean that that boosts me we don't have all the answers yet but we know it's real this had affected Sean profoundly he didn't talk about it much because quite frankly he thought people were going to look at him like he was crazy do you know what it's like to serve your country to swear an oath of loyalty only to have someone come out and say you're crazy [Music] you know I've spent my life living in the shadows I put myself out there voluntarily so I've got no one to blame but me I have people who question my credibility at every turn I was so badly I show people what I've seen and what I know but I can't because I have a non-disclosure agreement with the US government it's very frustrating for me because I know this is real when you look at some of the other incidents over time that we've collected back in atip we continue to see the same pattern over and over and over again Elizondo was back in the States briefing the team on his trip to Mexico more people are bringing information in cases does military and civilian people and I think this kind of data and information is beginning to make a difference as we're bringing it forward as former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon knows how difficult it is for military personnel to come forward with stories of UFO encounters those people in the military at these lower level operational ranks are also swimming Upstream trying to get people's attention and say hey we got a genuine issue here people we need to take action and I'm delighted that we're able to assist them in doing that but it's not only the military personnel involved in the incidents who have been silenced I would much rather put this behind me but the problem is I've seen too much I've talked to too many people too many reports I know it's real I can't a good conscience just keep my head buried in the sand I had to leave the very job that I love to get my point across the trip to Mexico was a bit of a revelation for us certainly when I was an atip there was no way I would have been able to go into a foreign country and start asking questions about this thing there's no way that would have happened Lou Elizondo has new evidence that he believes confirms an ominous pattern the Pacific Ocean off Southern California and Mexico is a hot spot for unidentified craft with Incredible capabilities if it's okay with you I'm going to go ahead and provide you his information the Newfound freedom to bring information directly to the public is a victory for Elizondo atip had a small group of allies but equally there was a small group of people who were diametrically opposed and became increasingly vocal about their opposition to what we were doing Elizondo spent 10 years studying reports of military encounters with UFOs according to Elizondo getting anyone inside the Pentagon to pay attention to what he was Finding was a daily struggle all right so I'm just feeding this intelligence officer worked closely with Elizondo at the Pentagon and saw firsthand the challenges he faced I was personally very upset since my friend my co-worker a mentor somebody that I truly believed in because she continues to work for the Department of Defense she wants to remain anonymous things in patterns and he sees the analytic piece behind putting all of this puzzle together and what the various outcomes could be unfortunately he had to work through layers of bureaucracy but he would only read about in 1960s Russia it doesn't matter what administration it is it doesn't matter if there's no charge it's just oh this is gonna get very messy very quickly the government I believe doesn't know what to do they don't know how to address this help us understand how is it that the people who are entrusted with some of the most dangerous missions when they write a report that that is not taken seriously if you're pursuing this I'm very vocal and very public about it you won't have a career and that's been Stephen it's been proven there is no question that it's dangerous are you scared yourself about your own career and your own proximity to this issue I can answer that question fear of being called crazy wasn't the only roadblock to getting Pentagon leadership to care about the issue some officials that I talked to told me that they thought there was resistance in the Pentagon on religious grounds that effectively you had some senior officers who were Christians who thought looking into this kind of voodoo stuff was dangerous I was pulled into the office of one of these seniors the senior looked at me in the eye and said I want this program to stop I said well okay but what's the rationale and he said well um what you are looking at is something that is a demonic presence there's a faction in the government high up in the Pentagon of religious fundamentalists who are concerned that anything paranormal or Supernatural is demonic in origin that flying saucers represent demons that if you study this that you're inviting the devil and Satan into your world you're telling me to ignore it because it goes against your philosophical belief system well that's the same they face in Afghanistan and in the Middle East there's no difference only you're wearing a three-piece suit and they're carrying a Kalashnikov so I couldn't believe what I was hearing Elizondo says his superiors religious beliefs hindered his mission to get the government to take UFO seriously but he and other government insiders including former presidential adviser John podesta believed the larger political culture is to blame there's a natural tendency to just kind of sweep the question away and to avoid the taboo we've created a culture where you really can't do what any scientist would want to do any skeptic in the best sense of the word saying well maybe we don't know about it so imagine this for a moment your job is to give the boss recommended Solutions imagine going now to the boss sir we have something we don't know what it is we don't know how it works we don't know who's behind the wheel we don't know what their intentions are and by the way there's not a damn thing we can do about it by 2017 Elizondo had become so concerned that whatever these crafts were the U.S military had no way to defend itself against their advanced technology so he tried to send a warning of the chain of command I realized that none of the information and developments that we had in our program in atip was being communicated to the Secretary of Defense Elizondo believed the threat was so great that it required the attention of then Secretary of Defense James Mattis there are five people I can count on this hand that if they were to call me at four o'clock in the morning I would put my boots on and I'd go to war with them secretary Mattis is number one he is truly one of the greatest Americans I've ever had the honor and pleasure to serve with and four despite being one of the military's most experienced counterintelligence operatives even fighting alongside Mattis in Afghanistan in the months after 9 11 every attempt to get a meeting with the secretary of defense was thwarted in this particular case you had a lot of people that were worried about their political careers I attended some meetings at the Lewis president trying to see how I could be helpful and this actually led to meetings with these senior people who are very close to General Mattis and they were very sympathetic but they did not see a way ahead they did not see how they could get this by the praetorian guard around the secretary this is a man who's responsible for for the Safety and Security of our country and if you don't give him the information he needs that is ammunition in order for him to make a right decision despite our best efforts we were not successful in actually getting this issue in front of the secretary and letting him evaluate the evidence himself we've got a problem internally we've got blinders on and if we've got blinders on baby you're going to get blindsided on the next unidentified you know those voices guys we're just trying to figure out what were the objects that we saw I've always kind of been somewhat skeptical I'm a lot more convinced now these vehicles do exist so it's basically a cube inside of sphere tonight on unidentified never forget those voices you know those voices guys yeah if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I don't know if I would have believed it either it was basically interfere with a Cuban side so now these objects have a global presence that thing is hauling ass exactly my point the Pentagon has confirmed the existence of the advanced Aerospace threat identification program that studied UFOs and they released video they're all going against the wind for eight years Lou Elizondo ran a secret UFO investigation for the U.S military but in 2017 he quit in protest I put my entire future on the line because I believe in what I believe in now he's joined an elite group of former government insiders their mission reveal what they say is the truth about UFOs U.S airspace is being violated by vehicles of Unknown Origin with Advanced capabilities this is real and we're gonna get to the bottom of it if people knew these unidentified vehicles are operating within minutes of the DC area they would say excuse me isn't this something we ought to pay attention to how's our friend you okay he's really nervous we've got him set up in a motel nearby sure it was a big moment for him he's going to be sky and a ship to come out he has expressed his desire to have a conversation about something that seems almost extraordinary can certainly make you nervous Lou Elizondo is on his way to mean an active duty Navy fighter pilot who's agreed to disclose for the first time details of an extraordinary series of UFO encounters captured on video over the Atlantic Ocean in 2015. with Elizondo as veteran Navy pilot David fraver who says he had a similar UFO encounter in 2004 over the Pacific it's great that he's agreed to to talk with us I would start with you know what he was doing that day let him tell his story [Music] hey Ryan how are you I'm Lou nice to meet you it's taken weeks of negotiating to convince the pilot to talk appreciate uh you taking the time to to speak with us Elizondo hopes having one of the most respected pilots in the Navy with him will put the younger pilot at ease 2V1 huh it's not a fair fight Lieutenant Ryan Graves has spent a decade training Navy pilots and flying bombing missions as a combat section lead he twice deployed to the Middle East and holds a degree in aerospace engineering go ahead let's let's start from the beginning uh we'll simply put I don't really know what the beginning is the summer of 2014 Lieutenant Graves was based out of Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach tenant Graves says his Squadron the red rippers was running training exercises up and down the East Coast when they started to pick up mysterious radar tracks we didn't really think a lot of them other than the fact that maybe they were just um just a part of the radar itself not necessarily an actual physical object is there any difference between the aircraft you are flying uh in 2015 versus what he was flying in 2004 and he we had upgraded Electronics radar systems it's a generational difference it's a big deal it's a huge huge increase in capability okay the pilots wondered if their new radar system was malfunctioning until they saw one of the unidentified objects up close walking through that but were you there or was it one of your colleagues I was one of my colleagues so I didn't hear about until they landed did he give you size color texture it was basically a cube inside of sphere where the points of the cube were touching outside of the sphere we've got now two different things you guys got cubes with balls around the West Coast we got flying Tic Tacs you will sometimes get Phantom tracks where it's seeing something that's not there that's what we thought they were 100 of the time until we would see them physically the entirely of them with their eyeballs it's not like I'm seeing a bright physical object I'm literally just seeing a flash shine out there and wherever we were they were there so that could mean two things that could mean they were already there or they were following the strike group by 2015 Lieutenant Graves claims his Pilots are encountering bizarre craft almost every time they flew you know it's one thing if one person sees one of these objects like okay that's crazy when you go out there every day you see them and your brothers and sisters and other squadrons are seeing them and you know it's like okay well this is probably some type of maybe drone thing or something that they're testing out it wasn't until someone actually saw one go in between two aircraft at a close range probably within 150 feet that it was starting to get worse on Lieutenant Graves says when one of the objects nearly caused a terrifying mid-air Collision senior pilots in his Squadron decided to act at this point we're like something needs to be done if we submit a safety report into the Navy Safety Center they've been seeing these things for two months multiple people have seen it multiple people have tracked them you get one that splits a section enough to send out your mishap report to the Safety Center did anyone contact you and say what is going on no no investigation no nothing no we had a video I'd like you to see without telling you anything about it I'm going to be curious your thoughts and you can tell me what you see three UFO videos were released by The Pentagon the one on the left has already been identified as the 2004 incident involving David fravor the source of the other two had remained a mystery [Music] this video has come to be known as go fast and chosen object speeding just above the water the other is known as gimbal the sensor is on on a gimbal underneath the the aircraft and it can rotate to maintain a track girl going against the win oh my gosh never forget those voices you know those voices guys yeah it's a breakthrough in the investigation for the first time a pilot has confirmed that the two unidentified videos Gimbal and go fast were taken by Navy Jets from the Theodore Roosevelt we're getting ready for our deployment so we do workups along the Eastern seaboard and these objects kind of came with us Lieutenant Graves says both Gimbal and go fast were filmed within weeks of each other over the Atlantic off Jacksonville Florida and as Lieutenant grave Squadron Was preparing to deploy to the Middle East they were seeing so many mysterious objects they started sharing the videos when they got back on ship they're also very excited about what happened and then they were heading down to watch the full video in its entirety there's parts of this video that we can talk about that are here let's walk through that so this object was significantly larger than the ones we used to see Lieutenant grave says the gimbal video is just part of a longer higher resolution video he was shown on the ship it included several smaller craft the kind he was more familiar with they were essentially flying themselves into formation and then behind those was the object they kind of see here and now not the world's greatest drawer but as you can see here it almost looks like a gyroscope right the way it moves the points coming out of the top of the bottom of what appears to be a disc or at least a Central Mass on the object so these objects were seeing One Direction the five at some point basically just turn themselves around with some type of radius to turn as a unit and started flying in that direction at this time is pretty much where you see this video where these are now out of the picture and it's just this guy that's stationary is that why they refer to them as there's a whole Fleet of them yep okay so there wasn't hopefully to these there was just all these little guys and then there's the one object which we had never seen before which was significantly larger Lieutenant grave says the way the larger craft suddenly rotates at 90 degrees is unlike anything he had ever seen it's just basic airplane physics when your wings are underneath you you're flying along you have 100 of your lift and if you turn yourself all the way like this kind of knife blading you have none of the lift that your wings would provide you so the fact that he would just get himself on his wingtip with no turn by staying at the exact same point isn't how aircraft work Ryan Graves is an aerospace engineer when he's not a pilot so when Ryan is telling you that there is something up there that he doesn't know how it works and it is not one of our aircraft you need to listen what's fascinating and interesting about these objects is that they're up there when we take off they're doing their thing for our hour hour and a half maybe two hour flight and we land and my buddy that takes off an hour later seeing the same things this is important now we're looking at something that can stay stationary over a geographic point and 120 knots of wind s in the West can rotate around and then can accelerate above supersonic as a top gun guy have you seen something like that before no no I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm pretty baffled right now [Music] there are people out there that you know right now that you can pick up the phone and they would say yeah that was something that we routinely encountered probably at least 50 or 60. yeah 50 or 60 individuals veteran Navy fighter pilot David fraver are learning new details about an extraordinary case caught on camera it's rotated active duty Navy pilot Lieutenant Ryan Graves says a fleet of UFOs followed his carrier from the summer of 2014. into 2015 off the east coast and the reason Lieutenant Graves is speaking out is because he's concerned about his comrades and he's concerned about National Security and he's seeing a system which is failing to react Chris Mellon is a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence if people in the DC area knew that within minutes of their location these unidentified vehicles are operating seemingly without regard to our air defense capabilities operating at will just minutes from the nation's capital I think they would say uh excuse me isn't this something we ought to pay attention to incidents had Disturbed Lieutenant Graves and his fellow Pilots but what happened in the months following would raise the stakes even higher in March 2015 the Theodore Roosevelt was deployed to the Arabian Gulf when suddenly Lieutenant Graves says the UFOs reappeared we did have issues with them when we actually went out to the Middle East not in the transit but once we actually settled out into the Middle East in the Middle East one of the targets of U.S Firepower was the Russian Allied Syrian government were the unidentified objects tracking the Navy Jets actually next Generation Russian drones no one really knows you know what they are but if it was an aircraft if it was a MIG if it was any type of enemy aircraft it'd probably be a pretty big deal that airspace is exclusive use airspace that we use out there over the ocean for tens of f-18s going every day you know we've got these things showing up you've got these things showing up that are following the ship and no one's like no one seems really cool at least pulling the data to go you know if 10 f-18s come back and say yeah we're seeing these things all over you would think someone would prompt to go hey what is going on so you have objects off the coast of San Diego you have objects potentially off the coast of Virginia and these objects now Somewhere over the Middle East and now these objects have potentially a global presence not a regional presence a global presence to be wherever they want to be yeah I'm fascinated that over 60 people have seen these things and it's just become like the accepted Norm I appreciate what you guys are doing trying to hunt down these answers from guys like me you know if there's anybody else who who has had some interesting uh experiences like this we'd love to know we want to know what this is in the 2004 Nimitz incident Navy Pilots went head to head with a tic-tac-shaped object oh Ten Years Later the Roosevelt Pilots say they encountered three different craft Cube inside a sphere a large disc shaped UFO in a smaller round object captured here it's called Foo Fighters that's what they used to call unidentified flying objects during World War II that the old guys saw during the war mysterious flying objects were reported by American Pilots over Europe and the Pacific fool Fighters were often described as small spheres similar to what was seen by the Roosevelt Pilots 70 years later we seem to be dealing with more than one phenomenon where they're from who's operating what their intent is maybe there are in fact multiple sources that are competing and contending that are developing these craft in either case it's hard to find a prosaic explanation for a carrier battle group being shadowed by unidentified aircraft all the way across the Atlantic to an area of operations overseas in the Middle East it makes an extremely compelling case for the existence of technologies that we didn't even think were possible so Jets we're going to play the video I like your opinions on what we're seeing play by play the Navy's UFO videos are so potentially explosive the Elizondo wants an independent analysis of what exactly they show here retired Marine lieutenant colonel Chris Cook spent a career flying fighter jets Ross Amer flew commercial aircraft for decades and consults for the national Transportation safety board I don't want to give you too much information on these videos up front I think it's important that we look at this information without too much background elizondo's already asked them to analyze the 2004 footage from the Nimitz but now he wants their take on the two videos from the Roosevelt in 2015 the go fast video was 33 seconds long and shows a round craft that appears to be streaking across the ocean's surface [Music] oh my gosh dude that thing is hauling that's exactly my point it's a little less than two-thirds of speed of sound but how is the craft able to fly so fast the infrared sensor shows the object is cold if this were some type of aircraft with a conventional propulsion system we would definitely see some type of of heat signature everything we know about propulsion systems is they create an intense amount of heat there is no known aircraft that can stay aloft for long without a source of lift and propulsion dude the gimbal video is even more baffling to The Experts it shows a craft midair that rotates into a near perpendicular position to the ground the strange way the object turns in midair confuses both experts it is definitely rotating it appears to be or you know changing angle of bank and it appears to have stopped moving quickly across the Horizon and yet it doesn't lose any altitude it doesn't seem to be dropping sadly with all the experience that we think we have I can't figure it out well I certainly can Chris no I have no idea I've always kind of been skeptical about aliens and and uh you know UFOs and things like that but I've never seen anything remotely like what I saw today I'm a lot more convinced now that these vehicles do exist foreign [Music] welcome how you doing today very well thanks former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Chris Mellon has convinced a powerful group of lawmakers to meet with him about ongoing military encounters with UFOs but first Lou Elizondo is briefing him on the latest breakthrough in their investigation what I'd like to do is show you a short highlight of an interview that we did recently with a active duty pilot Elizondo had convinced a Navy pilot to go public with the story behind two unidentified Pentagon UFO videos captured off Florida where the Nimitz was occurring in the Pacific we have now very similar incidents occurring in the Atlantic before I say any more um why don't we just watch a few minutes here we're getting ready Ryan Graves described how UFOs appear to follow his carrier strike group from the summer of 2014 into 2015. it wasn't until someone actually saw one go in between two aircraft at a close range by Within 150 feet that it was trying to get worse on well I'll tell you the first three words that spring to mind are bizarre incredible and unacceptable if that wasn't interesting enough these incidents were encountered near the United States and as they made their way to the Middle East aor they encountered these things again almost like they were being stalked you know as a Former Intelligence person I'm a little frustrated that we spend 50 billion a year to try to a very strategic surprise and then we have vehicles with extraordinary capabilities it may be surveilling one of our aircraft carrier battle groups and nobody's taking action to find out where these things are coming from and uh and what they're doing there Lieutenant grave Squadron had filed a report to the Naval Aviation Safety Office but he says nothing was done about what they'd come to see as a serious threat there were innumerable radar contacts and sightings over an eight-week period all the way across the Atlantic as many as perhaps 60 Naval Personnel who had eyes on either on radar screens or visually in the air so the evidence is sort of the tip of the iceberg if you will I think your friends on the hill may be very surprised to know that these incidents have continued as recently as 2015 Lou Elizondo Chris Mellon these are guys that are trying to work through the system they're not outside the system sort of throwing grenades in order to get their way they're trying to get Congress on board they're trying to get more of the Pentagon leadership to pay attention but because they are bound by their oath to protect classified information they need to be careful melon wants to show the video of Lieutenant Graves to his contacts in powerful congressional committees that oversee National Security he hopes through Lieutenant's dramatic story will get Congress to acknowledge these incidents are real and take action but melon knows he has to be careful talking about UFOs carries the decades-long stigma of flying saucers and alien visitors the alien angle on this is the biggest impediment to progress I agree and I want to steer as far clear of that as possible in any discussions I'm going to fold this up and uh get out of your hair thank you Lou great job great work Elizondo hands melon a tablet with a clip from the interview and he heads to a closed-door meeting on Capitol Hill [Music] not everybody recalls from their civic lesson that is the congress not the executive branch that raises and maintains the the military and is responsible for for their organization and funding and they can't do that effectively if they don't know what the threats are out there over the decades Congress has made sporadic attempts to tackle the UFO issue with little result in 1966 House minority leader Gerald Ford called for hearings after a rash of UFO sightings in his Michigan district two years later beings that come from the sky that are worried about us are powerful astronomer Carl Sagan told the house committee on science and Aeronautics that investigating UFOs was a valid Pursuit and project blue books J Allen heineck testified that he hoped respected scientists would study his UFO reports how many really mysterious incidents are there that you'd like to go back and look at again or as I mentioned in the hearings this morning I have picked some 20 which have possible scientific Pay Dirt in them but Project Blue Book was closed down a year later and heinek's dream would have to wait 50 years later Elizondo and melon are again pushing Congress to take notice what's the word oh good meeting really good meeting lawmakers had already heard from the USS Nimitz pilots during a closed-door meeting earlier in the year it's getting a lot more attention now we as a military we as an institution we as an American people we should take this seriously they recognize that the Nimitz incident wasn't was not an isolated incident yeah absolutely there's a trend absolutely excellent and they'd like to hear as more people come forward and approach us they're interested in hearing what they have to say also now mellon's Washington contacts have told them they want to meet directly with Lieutenant Graves and any other pilot in the Squadron who's willing to speak up Carl Sagan once famously said about UFOs extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof he was absolutely right but now we have the proof the question now is will people look at the evidence and are they able to process it foreign Graves has just described for the first time a terrifying series of encounters over the Atlantic but being UFOs and the U.S Navy he says a fleet of UFOs stalked his Squadron for months off the east coast and even followed them to the Middle East [Music] from my experience on the East Coast tens if not a hundred people have had this issue really the issue is that there's no real means of communication to kind of Express that information so what will happen is you'll see something interesting and you'll show your buddies including your Skipper and that's really where the conversation ends Graves says his fellow Pilots saw at least three different shapes of UFOs now a second eyewitness is coming forward what's up buddy hey what's up man how you doing good how are you doing well dude I'm a very keep things close to the chest kind of guy I trust him we've flown together uh we deployed together and so when Lieutenant Graves was saying he's got some people interested in talking to us I was willing to help him out many of these Pilots have have hundreds if not several thousands flying hours it's not in their interest to make this stuff up because professionally it could be very damaging to them in 2015 Lieutenant Graves and Lieutenant Danny a Coyne were training to deploy to the Middle East what was the first thing you thought when you saw or actually it's like there is actually something there first time you see it on the radar could possibly be a false track but then when you start to get multiple sensors reading the exact same thing and then you get to see the display that solidifies it for me again and again the pilots were capturing bizarre shaped objects on their f-18s cameras two of the videos would be released to the public one would come to be known as go fast the other was called gimbal really no distinct wings no distinct tail no distinct exhaust plume much like you see in the gimbal video seemed like they were aware of our presence because they would actively move around us Lieutenant Graves was in the air the day the gimbal video was recorded we came back we landed and we got back to the ready room we're getting our gear off and you're like dude you gotta go check this video out in Civic West this flight path doesn't look like it moves at all yeah his flight path doesn't change the L2 is not changing so it's basically just rotating in some fashion at least my perspective yeah I'd say the same thing that's definitely not a maneuver I've pulled before according to the pilots the go fest video was captured several weeks later while Florida's East Coast [Music] so do you think that's the same air crew is the first one both videos appear to feature the same voices it's led to questions whether they were faked on the one hand you could say well you know it makes it more credible because you're hearing in the moment how surprised these military Pilots are at the same time it probably increases the chances to think somebody could have spliced in the audio to make it sound more credible that is the same air crew because I recognize my buddy's voices yeah yes I think a lot of people will I definitely recognize the voices of both the wizo on both of them and then the pilot and I were really good friends inside and outside of work our families spent a lot of time together thing is I don't know this one's weird to me I don't really know how to describe it could it have been a drone I think yes it could have been whatever it was was small which is why it was difficult to pick up visually despite their seemingly incredible capabilities neither pilot can disregard the possibility that whatever was captured on both videos was either a technology controlled by the US military or one of America's enemies [Music] um I don't know I don't know how deep I want to go down that that path right now in 2015 the commander of the Roosevelt strike group was rear Admiral Andrew L Lewis Lieutenant Graves was there when the Admiral came below deck to watch one of the videos so I stayed in the room in the Civic because I heard the Admirals coming down the video out we've been dealing with the dude for a while let's see what he says about this Dave and he walked in the room and uh I see him just look at video for like five seconds just go huh and walk out that was it could the mysterious craft have been part of a secret test program where they sent by a foreign adversary a so-called red threat if it's some red threat that'd be enormous if it was someone operating drones out there that would be a normal suit something they have a midair and you're gonna lose an aircraft if it's something totally outside of that then you know obviously the implications for that are enormous as well nobody wants to go to the Admiral and say sir we're screwed there's this aircraft that just got under the wire and we didn't even know they were there and they've been there you know before there is definitely this fear that either an adversary or someone else has developed a technology and every defense system we have developed over decades to protect our forces is irrelevant and that's a scary thought if you're in the military we're just trying to figure out exactly what we saw if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I don't know if I would have believed it either [Music] listen I was going through my notes um I was wondering if maybe I could share a few Thoughts with you get your opinion on a few things yeah yeah Lu elizondo's investigation has raised a critical question why were the UFOs captured in all three F-18 videos seen near U.S Navy carrier strike groups even following one of them into a war zone how do you know that a foreign adversary hasn't leapfrogged Us in technology by a generation how do you know we're not just seeing the new jet of the future if anyone might know the answer it's Steve Justice in his three decades at Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works he helped design some of America's most advanced attack aircraft why would it be near carrier battle group okay so what was the carrier doing at the time workups yep it was doing work are you ready for deployment okay and so would that be something an adversary would want to see damn well we want to know yeah I want to know anything and everything that are from what adversaries are doing and a workup is a perfect place to do it right because there's problems and everything are being used well and you're going to see that thing working as it's working in the field and that's what I want to know right but what happens when you don't have the pilots recognizing what it is and it's behaving in a way that these guys and Pilots are saying I have no clue well that's when you start seeing the expletives come over the radio so that's fair expletives before an adversary can't just send in a a typical contestants aircraft because we will let them into our area they would have to send in something that's super super low observable something that is super sophisticated and fast that can get in look at what it is we're doing and then get back out right I mean we we want that capability so why wouldn't a foreign adversary yeah well you know that's why I continue to doggedly pursue these what-ish scenarios my greatest fear is an adversary did figure it out and we are just way way way way way behind in their work inside highly classified programs both Elizondo and Justice had access to much more information than they're able to reveal I think we owe it to ourselves I think we owe it to everybody that is relying on us to collect the information and be fair and objective right I'm really desperately trying to do that um but at the same time I feel a bit disingenuous because sometimes you know I might have I might have inside knowledge there's a lot of stuff that you have to leave partitioned off okay but I would say there's just too many pieces of the puzzle that don't make sense and it represents a set of capabilities that seem new to everybody in the community if these aircraft had Russian or Chinese markings on them and they were zipping in and out of an aircraft carrier battle group there would be a budget you know the size of this building designed to get to the bottom of how do they develop that and how do we replicate it and how do we defeat it but none of that is happening here as far as we can tell craft were sent by a foreign adversary Elizondo says that threat would need to be reported to lawmakers if anybody have this Leapfrog technology this would be a National Intelligence collection priority period all hands on deck Congress will be engaged but we know that's not the case we know that as a fact because we're talking to the highest levels of Congress we're feeding them information we know Congress is just as surprised by this as Joe Q public yeah so I mean that is that for me is I mean that's a deal bro and if that's why I'm saying if it is a foreign capability going on and this hasn't occurred dude heads are going to roll that's illegal there's laws against that you have to inform Congress something allegedly has been stalking America's nuclear-powered carrier strike groups but neither Lou Elizondo or Steve Justice believe it's an enemy we know want to be careful we're not belligerent you know saying the Russians the Chinese that they're the big bad enemy because when it comes to this phenomena they're really not they're in the same boat we're in hey man unfortunately I'm no longer interested in communicating about the matter we discussed earlier I hope you can understand this good luck with everything he's uh he's spooked this is the second guy in a week now that was part of that effort uh on the Roosevelt in 2015 that we've lost Lou Elizondo convinced Navy pilot Lieutenant Ryan Graves to go public about his squadron's extraordinary encounters with UFOs I've had conversations with friends from other squadrons it's just hey there's stuff out there I hope we don't hit it now because they're out there enough where someone could potentially have a mid-air something needs to be done but after months of trying to persuade other pilots from the USS Theodore Roosevelt to speak out elizondo's hit a wall it's a weapon systems officer allegedly heard throughout the Roosevelt videos has backed out of an interview the person's voice you hear in that video that is the guy that we were in contact with this had the potential to really help shed light to get a better handle of what's going on kind of sucks actually while there are allegedly more than 50 Navy personnel who witnessed these UFOs nearly all are afraid to come forward so how you been man good so uh how you feeling about this I'm feeling pretty good but Lieutenant Ryan Graves has been summoned to the nation's capital for a closed-door meeting with members of Congress responsible for National Security they want to hear what happened when a fleet of UFOs appeared to stalk his carrier strike group I'm not here to speculate or guess what it is I can just simply provide as many facts as I can about this fact that Lieutenant Graves is willing to put his career at risk and speak out publicly about this while he's still active duty military really speaks volumes about the frustration and trying to work through the system one can only hope that it is courage will be rewarded and that people will pay attention what would you like to walk away with at the end of this meeting you're about to have today there's two issues here one people aren't paying attention and two uh there's a credibility problem and a stigma related to this by observing hard facts and data from professionals and from our sensor systems we can bring this to light in such a way that you can't just refute by saying I don't believe you man I hope you get a chance to tell them that like Lieutenant Graves Lou Elizondo made his own decision to speak out when he quit the Pentagon secret UFO unit in 2017. I think what Lou Elizondo others have done is kind of break that mold a little bit where it's okay to talk about this stuff I mean I've asked members of Congress about it and they will tell me yeah you know there's there may be something to this there's also a new generation of members of Congress they're younger they're more open-minded they're not afraid to ask tough questions I think we're now seeing a generation of elected leaders but also National Security officials who are more willing to talk about this issue and don't see it as much as a third rail I think ultimately to discussion the American people have to have with themselves and then tell your political leaders what you expect and what you want done Lieutenant Grave's secret meeting lasted 90 minutes it was off any public schedule and unknown to members of the press how'd it go seems like they recognized there is an issue and they generally want to figure out what it is his account was heard by members of the congressional committees that oversee National Security as well as a team from the defense department at what point was it that people just stopped being interested and not you know unexplained things I mean that's kind of what drives us right we get out there and you know we're learning new things at least that's what drives me we're trying to explore the unknown to see something every day and just kind of brush it aside and not want to raise the question about hey you know this is curious maybe we should figure something out about this is extremely frustrating that potentially whether this is some type of threat you know globally here if we have some type of um you know red air threat that's out there Gathering our waveforms and our tactics or something else you know if we're if we're not curious and what are we thank you on the next unidentified I didn't really want to talk about it but I guess the cat's out of the bag whatever these UFOs were wherever they're from they had an North Dakota he had an interesting encounter some time ago what makes this particularly interesting I think this incident is that a he's a law enforcement officer B he's former military and see there are other eyewitnesses man I don't want to speculate but there seems to be a lot of sightings of something what that something is we don't know at one time this area had more nuclear silos than just about anywhere else in the United States well hello how are you sir good how are you doing pleasure to meet you pleasure to meet you come on in all right Larry Gessner served for 11 years as a weapons specialist at nearby Minot Air Force Base was responsible for loading nuclear weapons on bombers and after retiring from the Air Force he was Sheriff of Sheridan County I have been waiting 15 years where I get to tell this event this is the first time he's talking publicly about his UFO encounter so why don't you uh show me where it where it all happened okay well you've got this house here which was a neighbor's house and the driveway there so this is the lot this is where your house stood yep One Night in 2003 he and another eyewitness saw something they couldn't explain if you look over there that would have been right where it came over okay 144 degrees so we're looking at almost due Southeast okay okay the thing that stood out the most to me was that instead of a horizontal uh plane for lights you know which you would see on an aircraft they were vertical it was like this yeah and so that I said I don't know any career I I it was confusing I kept saying to myself this isn't making any sense and as it got closer the lights became more prominent we could discern that there was larger lights along the front edge the rounder you know the bigger lights and then there were smaller lights on the outside edge as it got to this point here now all of a sudden I realize there's Windows there was a thickness to the wall of the craft it got right over the top and that's when I said you know about up in here now I can see the bottom of this thing and it's it's a diamond shape it came to a stop the lights went out and then this white glow showed up on the back of the craft and it shot straight up in the air and was gone in a second you know what looks Diamond to me the s17 that's kind of diamond shape maybe you were witnessing that no the size of this craft it was probably close to 200 feet in the air and 100 feet wide okay so this is sizably different okay so here's my calls here you're here right correct what you're saying is that it was heading in the opposite direction which is in fact certainly within the trajectory here where you saw it and where it ended up and then shot up is in fact towards my knot Minot Air Force Base lie 75 miles to the northwest since the beginning of the Cold War Minot has been one of the most weaponized places on Earth it's America's only base that can launch both nuclear missiles and nuclear-armed long-range bombers there are a lot of nuclear sites between where you are and Minot I mean I'm counting here and there's probably 30 or 40 and I've got three Maps but between here and here there's a hell of a lot of stuff here yeah nuclear this isn't the first time elizondo's investigation has found a link between UFOs and U.S nuclear assets we seem to see these things around U.S nuclear equities nuclear power nuclear weapons and nuclear technology there definitely seems to be some sort of correlation and if I see something that potentially has the ability to either threaten or disable our strategic nuclear capability I have to consider that a threat the progress that's been made in the last year is incredible but there are still big secrets being kept if that can be leaked out or released even if it's a dribble it changes everything Elizondo stops in Las Vegas he is here to meet with investigative journalist George Knapp has uncovered documents that may reveal a connection between UFO sightings and America's Atomic Arsenal if anybody is going to be able to shed some light and and help me better understand that relationship I think it's you over the years Knapp has filed Freedom of Information requests with the Departments of defense and energy this is from 1985 and interviewed scores of government eyewitnesses these go way back and these are reports of of reported UFO incidents this is from way back in 1948 that's over um Los Alamos another unknown object in New Mexico interesting that's during the Manhattan Project during the 1950s the Air Force detonated more than 100 atomic bombs and above ground tests in the Nevada desert I had more than a dozen people who had worked out there at the test site during the height of the above ground testing period who said UFOs while they would appear during these tests nuclear facilities Los Alamos Livermore Sandia Savannah River all had UFO incidents this says if it's firmly indicated there is no domestic explanation the addition to its nuclear Arsenal the ICBM or intercontinental ballistic missile these nuclear-tipped missiles could strike targets more than 3 500 miles away according to nap UFOs now began to be seen at the new ICBM launch sites across the Midwest what would be an example of one of the more compelling incidents in Minot Air Force Base UFOs appear over these missiles something enables the missile and it's ready to go 1966 military personnel say a UFO appeared over Minot Air Force Base 75 miles from Larry gessner's sighting they claim one of minot's nuclear missiles allegedly activated as a UFO hovered above then deactivated when it disappeared a year later a similar incident allegedly happened at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana military personnel there say a glowing red oval-shaped object hovered over its missile silos and all 10 of the base's nuclear missiles were disabled they don't know what's causing it they don't know how to stop it that puts it all on the line that tells you how serious this matter is over the next two decades multiple U.S nuclear launch sites would report alarming UFO incidents but no one can explain why just think about this synopsis at the facilities where we were first designing and building nuclear weapons there were UFOs at the facilities where we were testing the weapons that were UFOs at the bases where we deployed those weapons on the ships the nuclear submarines all those places all the people working there have seen these things are they all crazy because if they are they shouldn't have their hands on nuclear weapons agreed either Mass delusion or they're all right but either way we need to look into this yeah [Music] yeah the colonel of an American Air Force base and a lot of his Airmen claim that something from outside the Earth's atmosphere landed at their Air Force Base they inspected it they photographed it they took tests on the ground where it had been and found radioactive traces there are only two explanations of what happened that night one explanation is that it actually happened as Colonel Holt reported the other is that Colonel Holt and all his men were hallucinating surely to any sensible before I was there even elizondo's re-examining one of the most notorious UFO incidents in history in 1980 Lieutenant Colonel Charles Hall was second in command of America's largest Air Base in Europe RAF bent Waters 100 miles Northeast of London Cold War tensions were high and the base was a pivotal part of NATO's defenses RAF bentwater is the largest tactical fighter ring in the Free World we had a Tens the mission of the base was if the Eastern Bloc countries came into Germany the a-10s would go kill tanks and carried the ward of the enemy Heartland Ben Waters often housed Advanced test aircraft and experimental weapons it was a stressful time but hidden deep under the base was one of the cold War's most guarded Secrets 25 fortified bunkers filled with lightweight but highly powerful came in wired as a sheet and he said we saw lights in the forest there was something out there we don't know what it was so we came to get you oh my Space Commander said go put this thing to rest halt led a team into nearby rendlesham Forest began recording what he was experiencing on a small tape recorder [Music] hey I see it too what is it we don't know sir strange small red light you'll see on maybe a quarter and a half mile maybe further out and his men began to see a series of Lights flying above and then into the forest around them the object comes into the forest a bit and it moves horizontally through the trees avoiding the trees obviously under some type of intelligent control soon the lights were right on top of them leaving Halton as men paralyzed with fear s now but beam is not like an ordinary light it doesn't radiate it was like a laser beam was focused it landed right 10-15 feet away from us at our feet I was literally in shock could you tell from your perspective how high in the sky my guess is about three or four thousand feet but I can't tell for sure meantime we noticed two glowing white objects very bright objects to the South and the sky Hulk claims the craft then flew North toward the base we could hear the chatter on the radios but the beams went down into the weapon storage area and I'm thinking oh my God halt feared the craft was targeting the base's secret nuclear storage bunkers it wasn't the meteor I mean three of them moving and synchronization they weren't coming down they were moving in the sky and I keep telling them where to look and they tell keep telling me nobody can see anything with the radar I'm thinking is this a warning is this a weapon or is this some kind of communication I couldn't believe what was happening the next day halt reported his experiences to his superiors the response mirrored a pattern that became familiar to Elizondo when he ran America's Secret UFO program I went into the office that morning I think it was Sunday morning the wing Commander drove up he said that was some light you had last night wasn't it I said it sure was I said I made a small tape recording of some of it and he said what let's hear it has that bill it's coming this way he said wow let me have it I thought there goes my career he took the tape and of course I worried all week Wednesday when he came back in the staff meeting he said I played the tape for the general and the staff and the General in His Infinite Wisdom said happened off the base it's a British Affair Case Closed wow okay hoping to catch the attention of someone up the chain of command halt drafted a memo detailing the events in rendlesham forest I wrote the infamous memo and kind of cleaned it up a little bit I didn't call it UFOs I called it unexplained lights but halt's report leaked it would make the rendersham incident worldwide news witnesses claimed that the rendlesham forest was the landing site of an unidentified flying object and locals would come forward to bolster Holtz account that something strange had happened the closure it got the more I realized it was not an aircraft I've linked and it was gone but over the years debunkers have claimed the incident was merely a hoax or something even more Sinister a secret American weapons test gone wrong I did everything I could to stay in the background I really didn't want the attention it certainly wasn't career enhancing it did help my career either by the way there's not a damn thing we can do about it once you touch it you got it right you bought it once you're involved in it baby you're involved in it and there's no really way to to back out see why people didn't want to address it how do you have a conversation about a threat that you don't know what it is and how it works or you can't do anything about it when you have other concerns like nuclear war that's why it's important that we talk to eyewitnesses that's why with Randall shim you'd want to collect the eyewitness testimony you want to pretty much collect anything and everything you can so John you obviously had a very successful career what I'd like to do is ask you a few questions about an experience you you supposedly had Lou Elizondo is meeting with an Air Force veteran who served under Lieutenant Colonel Charles Hall during the rendersham UFO event in 1980 the object comes into the forest and it moves horizontally through the trees obviously under some type of intelligent control I won't ask you anything that requires a sensitive answer if you can't answer it just simply say Lou I'd prefer not to answer that right John Burroughs was a military policeman on the RAF bentwater's base in eastern England among his duties protecting the base's secret arsenal of nuclear weapons to the best of your recollection tell me what happened it was a Christmas night came on duty at 2300 when I went down to the staging area the halt was out in the forest okay if you listen to the hall tape you'll hear my name on it kind of negative at this time while Lieutenant Colonel Halt and a team investigated reports of mysterious lights in the nearby Forest Sergeant Burroughs listened to the unfolding events on the radio an ordinary light it doesn't radiate it was like a laser beam was focused it landed right 10 15 feet away from us at our feet later that night another set of Lights appeared this time Burrows and another military policeman Sergeant Jim peniston were sent into rendlesham Forest this orange light almost unappeared in the distance and started coming down are you in the force we're in the Clarion area I'm like I'd like to get closer look the sergeant that was with me he looked at me and he says go for it as we started moving towards it it looked like it started moving towards us they approached the light Borough says it suddenly flew over him and his partner whatever it was came over the top of me I phased away and was gone Barrow says he has no memory of what happened next but Sergeant peniston told him he appeared to vanish Into Thin Air so let me see if I've captured this correctly just remember coming there and then all of a sudden bam gone and then all of a sudden he tells you that you were here and you basically disappeared and then I was back we start walking back and they just were to even get stranger either one of us remember anything until the next day that's very interesting and so what was halt's reaction to all this don't worry no have no memory from that point until the next day do you think there was some some loss of time somewhere and well I mean that's where I try to be careful with this I don't understand people said I was abducted I was taken all that maybe I was I honestly do not know what happened that's what I mean my whole life immediately after the incident burrow says he started to experience health problems I had some eye issues and then at one point my gums turned white that's fascinating when you were there at the basement we already have nuclear capabilities in in or around the area I'm not a liberty to comment on what was the resources were but I'm not Liberty really to come in at any base I was ever at I mentioned that because for whatever reason wherever these things occur there is some sort of nuclear connection what that connection is at this point we we can only speculate but we're trying to figure that out John Burroughs was a military policeman on one of America's most secret nuclear weapon spaces in 1980. when he says he came into contact with a UFO in England's rendlesham Forest whatever it was came right over the top of us I got what the hell just happened he goes I'm not really sure but I got knocked to the ground burrow says after his encounter if he began experiencing serious health problems it went to a hospital I went in there and when the doctor saw me he started doing a normal checkup you put the stethoscope on my chest he looked at me strangers what's the Air Force have to say about your heart murmur and I'm like running around oh yes you do doctors had discovered life-threatening scarring on his heart there are people who are reporting when they come nearer they come close to or observe a phenomena that there are changes occurring burrow says his injuries were just the beginning of his problems can I can I read that in 2012 he filed a claim to get Veterans Administration disability benefits shocked to find his military file had been classified as top secret so I went in to see the doctor so I sit down and she starts asking me questions about what my claim is about so I answered two or three questions and she says hold on a second and I'll look at her and I said what she goes well there's an issue here and I go what's the issue she says well you weren't in the Air Force and you said this event happened I go what do you mean I wasn't in the Air Force she says according to our records you didn't enter the Air Force until 1982. we have no medical records going back 482. that's when the stonewalling started boroughs needed help and he got it from an unlikely source we're going today to meet a former senior staffer for the late Senator John McCain pleasure to meet you nice to meet you I am doing wonderful Cheryl Bennett was able to use her skills navigating the military bureaucracy to get Burrows his disability benefits out of all of the veterans that I have worked with and I have had at least 200 veterans that I worked for never had a problem with getting any records getting information for John Burroughs was like pulling teeth it was literally the most painful thing I've ever had to do do you think there was a concerted effort to say okay this file we do not want to share or was it yes it was the higher-ups that were blocking John from getting his care Department of Defense uh Department of Justice they were all being very reluctant but John's case was extraordinary because he had gone years trying to get help and nobody was there for him had you heard about the rendersham incident prior to him talking to you never and that he explained to you in general terms what that incident was about in great length I don't care what you're trying to cover up this guy's life is on the line here why are you deceiving him it happened and he has results of his heart and his eye to show it happened was this a purposeful effort to squelch John's record from being made public oh I I would adamantly say yes 100 it was deliberate I mean to this day he still doesn't have his medical records and they won't give them to him what do you think they're afraid of the incident that took place they literally had proof and evidence and they didn't want the world to know which is kind of scary because you don't know what else they're covering up or they don't want us to know John Burroughs is one of only two U.S servicemen to receive military benefits after exposure to one of these unidentified objects the other is the man who was with him in rendersham Forest that night Sergeant Jim peniston if the U.S military really tried to cover up what happened in rental ship was this part of a much larger pattern that went on for decades there's a very checkered history of the Pentagon using the military as guinea pigs it's not inconceivable that there is some secret test program of advanced aircraft that's using our active duty military folks basically as test subjects without telling them it's almost like the Kennedy assassination there's so much evidence pointing at something but nobody knows exactly what it is but something really did happen that people really were affected there's no argument about that [Music] luellizando's investigation has uncovered new details of recent UFO trust the government for decades the military's counterintelligence divisions use the Publix fascination with UFOs to disguise nuclear weapons research and top-secret aircraft testing RAF bent Waters near randlesham Forest hit one of the U.S military's largest stockpiles of Cold War nuclear weapons and some say what happened there in 1980 was merely a military test gone wrong that same year at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico another series of strange events unfolded that raised even more questions about the government's role in the UFO story in 1980 Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico was still one of the centers of storing nuclear weapons and parts for nuclear weapons inside a big mountain that was hollowed out Greg Bishop is a UFO expert who wrote a book about the Kirtland case it was a place of Secrets it was a place of black projects and the Air Force would rather that people not figure out what was going on as technology began to rapidly progress in the early 1980s that's the way you know you keep ahead of the enemy one local man began documenting the strange lights flying above the base started recording the Air Force's radio communications he was listening to radio Transmissions from the base microbursts and Communications having to do with defense programs he calls up the Air Force and he says do you know you guys have these lights flying around the base they said this is very interesting to us why don't you come down to the base and talk about it the Air Force assigned a counterintelligence operative named Richard Doty I began a dialogue trying to find out everything he had we had to decide on what we were going to do then were we going to allow this to happen or we were trying to convince them otherwise Dodie says he began telling the man what he was seeing was actually aliens and even gave him a computer loaded with what appear to be messages from an alien race this computer starts spitting out the most insane stuff you could imagine we're on a dying planet and we need your help and we want to exchange technology he got more and more paranoid and Dodie actually encouraged this paranoia we planted to see that what he was seeing and what he was hearing and what he was collecting was in fact probably maybe UFOs but Richard Dodie's Culvert Mission wasn't just to confuse civilians about what was happening at Kirtland the operation was also intended to spread disinformation to Soviet spies looking to steal America's most advanced military technology the Air Force put out UFO stories to see if the Russians would start you know seeing come in the water and show up at U.S military bases or in in different places where they might be trying to spy on us but it's a very difficult subject to get to the bottom of and have any real sense of where you are in this Hall of Mirrors there's probably about 80 percent of false information being presented about 20 percent of factual information unfortunately the UFO Community doesn't know which is which many have questioned whether Lou Elizondo is another Richard Doty and his new UFO Crusade is part of a larger disinformation campaign before he ran the Pentagon secret UFO unit alizanda was assigned to protect highly classified military technology just like Dodie Lou Elizondo has a background ineffectively government sanctioned disinformation that's what you do in the his partner Chris Mellon insists they're not part of a UFO disinformation campaign they're fighting for disclosure it's actually against the law to conduct a covert action against our own people there's a difference between what um has occurred on some occasions in the past where individuals such as Richard Doty allegedly confuse or sow some disinformation but we're in there trying to promote transparency trying to get more information out there's no pressure on the government to release any information until we came along our combat Pilots are encountering these things is confirmed by radar is not responsible to walk away from this it's what 99 of the people in the department did Lou was not one of those people [Music] wow there's a picture when I was a very young man that's my dad he's the one who told me anything worth loving is worth also dying for after 20 years of serving his country as a military counterintelligence officer luellizondo was still adjusting to life as a civilian so how did it feel when you had to ask your family I felt terrible the point of sacrifice is not necessarily being a martyr but it's being willing to give everything you have for the right reason and that is So Others May Live and and peace I've been a counterintelligence officer my entire career since the day I went into the army counterintelligence and humid operations that's what I do [Music] your message now people who say well you know you've been trained to deceive well yeah to some degree deceive the enemy you're not my enemy there was a time that the U.S government definitely applied its counterintelligence assets against the American people but we've learned our lesson and if I was ever asked to do this type of things I wouldn't do it period over the past year Elizondo has discovered what he sees as a disturbing pattern UFOs have allegedly appeared above America's Atomic test sites Air Force bases stockpiled with nuclear weapons the beams went down into the weapon storage area I'm thinking is this a warning and nuclear-powered aircraft carriers across the globe we've got an object that just shows up at will does what it wants in a battle group on one of the most powerful warships in the world and you actually get a man fighter two of them that are eyewitnesses and then nothing gets done so what if they're ET or they want to hang out then it's all good you know we're all going to do a group hug and seeing Kumbaya but what if they're not at the facilities where we were first designing and building nuclear weapons there were UFOs on the ships the there's basically three possible explanations if you're just a rational objective-minded person first this is a foreign country that has made some sort of breakthrough China Russia Israel there's only a handful of countries that probably would have the capability potentially to do this second it is a secret U.S government program these are Advanced military aircraft only a very few number of government officials and defense contractors know about and that could explain why the government sort of doesn't want to talk about it because they want to Shield these secret military aircraft programs the third possibility is the pilots reporting these have just lost their mind and they're hallucinating believe none of these theories can explain the multitude of UFO encounters but the U.S military they have investigated dating back seven decades we have to at least look at the damn data stop actively suppressing it and stop criticizing people who want to come out and have the conversation and they can't discount another possibility one few in the military establishment appear even willing to consider what we are dealing with something else entirely on the next unidentified the distance between the Earth the nearest other star is a few light years a spaceship could make this journey we don't know of any reason why it's impossible I would like to see what you have that's sent a helicopter to investigate officials say the copter was chased by a saucer-shaped UFO that shot a powerful electromagnetic Beam at its rotor the helicopter was severely damaged but able to land pulled up we're in an environment right now where there's sort of unprecedented distrust of our government do you have any reason to believe that there is a government cover-up of the UFOs that that up what the answers might be in an effort to find answers Reed brought an aerospace entrepreneur Bob Bigelow and Bob Bigelow has you know been very open about his views that he believes there are you know intelligent beings from some other place that have visited here Bigelow is one of the few high-profile people involved in the Pentagon secret program to say he believes the unidentified craft are from another world by big along recently said on national TV that he absolutely believes not only that alien life exists but that aliens are here that aliens are visiting Earth you share that view I program and there's paperwork when you end a program you won't find any paperwork that ended at over the past year he's been communicating behind the scenes with a new team of Pentagon Intelligence Officers who are studying UFOs atip is no longer run by a single office there's now several offices that are engaged in this effort we meet with people regularly involved in this effort and I thought into any more than that the meeting lasts for over an hour right before the meeting concluded I was pulled aside and and shared some private information that there is still some degree of animosity regarding my departure I didn't ask for this portfolio it was it was given to me and I committed myself to it from day one you know you're given a mission that you believe in and your job is to finish that mission since he went public Elizondo has been able to bring military eyewitnesses out of the shadows and on the record we finally have people having conversations about this Enigma when I get a call to go to the Pentagon and provide a now serious debrief it's a little surreal people have testified before Congress these are active duty military personnel other people have had this issue as well so it's not a one-off with me they have informed Congress we have the executive department engaged so far this group of individuals have made more progress in getting this issue into the mainstream and taken seriously that anybody has in a very very long time if ever there's a growing awareness in Congress about this but I don't anticipate that anytime soon we're going to have UFO hearings on Capitol Hill it really goes against my DNA to have gone quote unquote public with this do I think it was the right decision I think it was the only decision because otherwise we'd still be together a national security policy to track them it's like insane to report them so you're absolutely I think you can break it down to three my heart's like beating fast and saying to me I'm like crazy I'm pretty energized there's three pieces to this article that I find most captivating a that the Navy is taking this seriously B it's establishing an official reporting mechanism and see uh that they have been talking with members of Congress and and their staff it not only vindicates a lot of the hard work that's been going on behind the scenes but also I think it's a testament to the brave men and women uh in in the U.S Navy who who want to figure out what these things are I mean Tom this is this has been the culmination of all my personally all my effort you know I never did this for fame or status or damn sure not a paycheck I'm doing this because I was trying to fix a broken system right and as I've told people before the only thing I managed to accomplish in my entire new we're moving forward is getting a reporting mechanism established so people can report these things without fear of any type of Retribution or any type of consequences professionally losing their security clearance or losing their flight status right all the things that that were were bottlenecking me before from having reports come out that is the only thing I ever truly was that was mission success for me and here we are literally a year and a half later of you coming on stage and telling the world you're going to do this it happened absolutely wild exciting stuff forced interest in this problem has been due to our feeling of an obligation to identify and analyze to the best of our ability anything in the air that may have the possibility of threat or menace to the United States at this point these things are coming up close and personal we are being forced to address it we don't have the luxury to sit back anymore as a country and say let's not pay attention to that we have to pay attention to it because now it appears to be stalking some of our DOD assets at base these are reports from pilots from military pilots in the Navy today or very recently in the Navy that have seen these phenomenon and reported them I was a witness to something it's something that I happen to to encounter I don't know what it was people asked me what do you think it was do you think it was of this Earth do you think it was aliens oh if these things are out there and we know they're out there there's enough credible that says there's things that we don't understand I can tell you that the other people that were involved all feel the same way not everyone is talking some of them are still on active duty but we all we would love to know what it is I mean I wanna I would love to fly it this is the story of the Millennia this is changing the world stuff this really is in my heart like I am a part of something I created something that has an opportunity to change the world and I resolution to some long-standing questions we have access to people to efforts like never before to places we could never go before maybe we can even build some things I think we're going to have new events that America has never been made aware of we're going to build this case so airtight that not only is it a Beyond Reasonable Doubt situation it will be irrefutable I think we're Upon A precipice I think the time has finally come

That series is the TV show version of the TTSA/Elizondo information vehicle.

FWIW the unidentified show is 67% reused footage and reused quotes over 2 “seasons” amongst the greater topics of this work its mostly Elizondo interviewing pilot experiencers and covering aspects of the TTSA narrative through interviews and “investigations” or rather direct monologues from Elizondo and the same two monologues of Christopher Mellon talking about the topic cut and edited 7 different ways and replayed twice in every episode.
