and in the end, they walk away without getting his last name, a clear indication that they were providing threats of violence and false arrest in order to gain compliance for something that the person is not required to do. This is why people hate you PnS.

After all that, they left without him having to give his last name. All the threats and attempted intimidation didn't amount to jack squat.. and it doesn't even seem like there was a crime committed anywhere either.

So why the bullshit? It's just a power game, and it's one they're so used to winning. Then when someone uppity citizen doesn't want to play ball, they're astounded.. aaand then the threats come out.

If you took a shot every time those officers lied, then you would likely die from alcohol poisoning. They wanted to run his name for warrants. That's all there is to it. The only reason the encounter lasted so long is because they got butt-hurt when he turned out not to be a pushover.
