now here is pastor Marie all right good they tell you god bless you welcome to the Shepherd's chapel welcome to this family Bible study our praise God we're ready to get back into that story about the two brothers there were many sets of brothers in our fathers word but the two brothers I'm talking about are Jacob and Esau while they were still in their mother's womb one God loved meaning an extreme preference the other God hated and the deeper student must realize it was what the souls had done prior to the entry of the fetus of each youngster it becomes obvious when you look at the life of Esau that he paid no respect nor had any desire for heritage you know heritage many people don't take as serious as they really should I mean after all their this is me I'm me and I want this and I want that and I really don't care about anyone else that seems to be a present-day attitude and not necessarily present-day it's always been that way the fact that the parent that brought you forth is extremely important to you because without that you wouldn't be there so heritage becomes extremely important when you go to the ultimate and understand that Almighty God created all beings he's your father and if you don't take him serious he'll hate you just as he hated Esau that you would take that connection the fact that he is your father and you are his child and would banty it about for a bowl of food as he saw dead you'll hate you and in as much as he is the judge the jury he is even the witness before he knows everything he's not a good one to have disrespect for for he is the final say the final word he is the word and II saw quite simply had no respect whatsoever for birth rights heritage or that that our Father has put forth and at the birth of these two as we found out in the last lecture even in the womb they struggled against each other a dislike between the two and even as they struggled as it is written in Acts chapter 9 God hated Esau he loved Jacob the - then with Esau selling his birthright to Jacob we see then the to grow to manhood and we see that one went one way in another the other with both having the promise that would become strong nations and it doesn't take much of a scholar to trace those nations down through history and to knowing to understand we're talking about the two superpowers of this in generation and as we do this I want to show might be coming but you as a watchman or to watch and understand these current events as they do transpire you cannot be familiar with the events and recognize them as they do transpire if you're not familiar with the Word of God let's go back to the two brothers as we left them one to be a strong nation that would live by the sword and would die by the sword would be a red nation in as much as Edom means red in the Hebrew tongue with Esau being that one I do Mia they were called after they were driven from one particular place then called the land of ado Mia and then back to Edom still Esau all one in the same Russia of today and as I stated you must make a special note the fact that Gorbachev himself with no reflection upon him whatsoever he's one of the most probably the most there's no doubt about it the most popular man in the world at this time has probably changed more things in the world at this time than any other man sad to say but even above our own leaders because he is well liked his popularity is high in the world because when you consider how far the communist bloc nations have moved toward democracy in the short period of time that this man Gorbachev has been in office then it's a staggering it's a maze it's a miracle it's an act of God I have no doubt about that but we see the birth mark were centered on his forehead for all to see with visual effects throughout the world at this time by instant coverage whereby no one is really without excuse of seeing that sign again not making light of him but I don't feel that that birthmark was a chance thing I think God in preparing all his people both the negative and the positive and am i judging him no none whatsoever I understand he's even been baptized there's a great deal more about him than perhaps meets the eye I would judge no man it is amazing how he mentions God when he's away from his homeland is it is that tact and is it they taunt in reaching people well I don't know but it works for a mess for certain but we see these signs that God is placed upon these two brothers call them brother Nations if you like but let's go back to God's Word and let's understand as we follow Edom and Jacob Israel the ten tribes that scattered north over the caucus later to Europe and many of them later migrating to this great nation and I think there is no doubt in anyone's mind that this is the greatest superpower flying the banner of Christianity and it does though many would disagree so be it disagree it's all right with me Christian nation the greatest ever been and we go forward the brothers the story continues let's ask a word of wisdom from our father with that small recap and let's get back into our father's word open your Bibles to the Book of Amos Amos chapter one opened them to verse 11 let's pick up a little further on Edom thus saith the lord for three transgressions of Edom in four for four for various translations for being the number of earth those sins he committed on earth do you understand the division yes even from that hate that came from before I will not turn away the punishment thereof I'm not going to forget it because he did pursue his brother with the sword that sword that he was promised he would carry he did pursue him and did cast off all pity and his anger did tear perpetually do you understand that word that means even now perpetually moving forward through the ages and he kept his wrath forever and let's continue one more verse 12 and I will send fire upon teman this is the southern part one of his allies which shall devour the palaces of Basra which is simply to say his forts Basra meaning fort fortress we had an event and there was a great change in Edom in the year all let's say the big change probably took place in 1917 that's a deed that's really not all that many years ago is it many of us were many are still living that lived at that time that was a little before my time but it hasn't been all that many years ago 1917 there was a revolution communism came into being there was a king of edom at that time in 1917 as a matter of fact he was removed from power in 1917 and he was butchered in 1918 go to chapter 2 amos verse 1 would our fathers word have anything to say about this last king that was a christian king before communism took over first one chapter to Amos thus saith the Lord for three transgressions of Moab and for four again for being the number of Earth I will not turn away the punishment thereof because he sharpen up burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime do you know what happened to the king the Tsar means king do you know what happened to the Tsar in 1918 his name was Nicholas he was married to Alexandria they had a son they had daughters when they were removed brother his brethren rather and they took up the ways of the heathen and as a matter of fact became occupied by heathen and they took on hedonistic ways and to where it was one of Moab's kings that held up his own child and sacrificed that child to Molech beginning the teachings of you're gonna burn with fire if you don't please God God said it didn't even come to my mind but by this time Moab has turned totally bad Alexander Alexandria and her husband Nicholas along with all of their children if I remember right except one were butchered hacked to pieces and buried in lime the last king of Edom buried with bones turning to lime in lime itself in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighteen it came to pass and the punishment upon Edom delivered at the hand of Moab I'm not going to happens to the two brothers he's senior involved and what does God have to say about it I'm gonna pick it up with verse 7 as that's where it concerns Edom concerning Edom Edom meaning read in the Hebrew tongue and this that red nation Russia he that would live by the sword he that would die by the sword thus saith the Lord of Hosts is wisdom no more in teaming the word teaming means south his the the pact nations to the south and part is counsel perished from the prudent is their wisdom vanished when you do away with God Marc attempt to and you bring in atheism in as much as all wisdom comes from God then it is true that the wisdom that is eternal vanishes from a people verse 8 flee ye turned back dwell deep o inhabitants of D Dan another place to the south for I will bring the gatherers came to thee they would they would not leave would they not leave some gleaning grapes they wouldn't take time to strip every grape off of you if thieves by night they they will destroy till they have enough but I this is what I'm going to do to Esau but I have made he saw bear I've stripped even the bark off the tree the vine I have uncovered his secret places he shall not be able to hide his seed his seed is spoiled rather and his brethren and his neighbors and he is not leave verse 11 leave thy fatherless children I will preserve them alive and let thy widows trust in me you see the only thing father wants is the heritage to become important to them those that do not partake and remain orphans to the movement God says I'll take care of them 12 for thus saith the Lord behold they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken Lord you forced them to partake of cut of atheism whether they wanted to or not you forced them and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished do you think I don't know about this your father states thou shalt not go unpunished but thou shalt surely drink of it what is the time period here can you rightly divide the wrath is poured out it shall be a perpetual waste for there shall be no more atheism 14 I have heard a rumor from the Lord and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen that is to say the nations saying gather ye together and come against her and rise up to the battle there you might say come out of her come against atheism with the truth of God's Word many of you hear the call 15 for lo I will make thee small among the heathen and despised among men what despised atheism all forms of it from one world errs to New Agers to any that go against the written word of God that the signs throughout history for anyone that has any at all can simply follow it is written by terribleness hath deceived thee and the pride of thine heart Oh Val that dwellest in the cliffs of the rock and that hole is the height of the hill though thou should make thy nest as high as the eagle the eagle is this nation that is our national bird they try to say we are a superpower also the nesting place of the Edomite has always been the children of Esau I will bring thee down from thence saith the Lord to have your nation embedded in the cleft of the rock means things hidden in the press not open freedom of speech not open freedom of religion not open all things are hidden though they claim to be as high as the nest of the eagle that is open to the world open to God there not also Edom shall be a desolation everyone that goeth by it shall be astonished and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof that's to say when God decides to destroy it you know how he's going to do it you hear many people say well naturally that's going to be an atomic Holocaust and they show their ignorance concerning God's Word listen this is how he will do it as in the overthrow of sodom and gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof team and dan those nations that remain with atheism saith the lord no man shall abide there neither shall a son of man dwell in it not a son of God how did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah God forbid I don't know how he did it we didn't even have atomic weapons then no hydrogen bombs as the modern-day strategist didn't Bible technology and theology would have you know that doesn't need it in the first place God doesn't want to poison this earth he wants to make it and have you'll use the same thing he used in Sodom and Gomorrah which is far more destructive than an atomic bomb he will use the hail the fire and those stones shall fall in a very natural sense and there's one beautiful thing about them how it will enrich the earth and nitrogen how it will make the earth a much better place to live after the destruction of Edom in the Battle of Haman god no radiation floating around good nitrogen in a natural way and we could even say a lot of fertilizer all right it will happen in one place all right God doesn't need your help he doesn't need my help he will destroy as it is written at the border of Israel verse 19 behold he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the inhabitants of the strong or the habitation of the strong but I will suddenly make him run away from her and who is a chosen man that I may appoint over her for who is like me do you know anyone like him I don't and who will appoint me the time this wants to tell me when the time is he doesn't need your help to know the time he has the time and he knows the time and who is the Shepherd that will stand before me he is calling out a people that will stand that will carry his name but there will be none among the atheist that will stand do you understand what it means like a behold he will come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan the swelling of Jordan when it overflowed it richly it enriched the banks and there would be much brush and shrubbery and wilderness there and the Lions would hide and lurk within that and take its prey that's the way Edom will be before the fact after the fact they will run 20 therefore here the counsel of the Lord if you want some wisdom listen to this that he had taken against Edom I've taken this against Russia and his purpose this is God's purpose in it you want to know what it is that he has proposed against the inhabitants of teman again the Warsaw Pact surely the least of the flock shall draw them out surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them the earth is moved at the noise of their fall and at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red Sea this word Red Sea is weedy sea again weedy sea not Red Sea because he shall come up and fly as an eagle and spread his wings over Basra his fortress and all that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pains like in birth pangs helpless I want to turn right on to the Book of Ezekiel I want to go to Ezekiel chapter 35 what about the two brothers is nothing written concerning them are there no signs in God's Word that keeps us posted with today's news of course there is it's just that people read over it skip it jump it chapter 35 verse 1 moreover the word of the Lord came unto me saying to son of man set thy face against mount cierra remember what I told you in last not some superpower off down here to the south I am God because verse 5 because thou hast had a perpetual hatred and has shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity in the time that their iniquity had an end in other words their sins did in but you kept the sword polished and you kept it swinging just like father the father had said you will live by the sword but you will die by it 6 therefore as I live saith the Lord God hey that strong talk friend I will prepare the into blood and blood shall pursue thee sit thou hast not hated blood even blood shall pursue thee verse 7 sharpen up for me this will I make thus will I make Mount Seir most desolate and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth won't have anybody
