you know who made it what's up guys I'm going to show you how to  render and Lumen let's get right into the video   okay so we are going to talk more about Lumen  first off what is Lumen is a real time global   system and when you change the time of day Lumen  changes instantly so right now we are currently   are on the Lumen feature and as you can see  you see how Lumen really works for you in your   renderings um even if you're doing an animation  so lumen actually picks up the sunlight it picks   up the Shadows it also picks up the glare off  your images if you have any picture frames up   if you have um sunlight coming through so it  really emulates um what's really going on in   your rendering and if we were to go ahead and  click on our image and then go to standard as   you can see you don't have any glare off the  picture frame you don't have any Reflections   off your surfaces or any Shadows to kind of give  it that realistic look so right now we are in   standard mode um but another thing when you're  click on the image and you go to your panel um   you have a set a of a features here that can kind  of help guide us and understand how to um work in   Lumen uh right now we're in standard but if we  go to Lumen and get us back to showing our our   sunlight and our Reflections here you have your  scene detail your view distance your lighting   update speed and you have your visualization mesh  conflict now this shows kind of the surfaces cold   by Lumen and it kind of let you know if you have  any areas that are too complex so they show that   in the magenta color and the yellow areas are too  small or too big or too far away so this kind of   helps us understand what Lumen would pick up and  kind of give us a guide on how to go about doing   it so we were to click on that we don't have  any yellow maybe a little bit here but we do   have some magenta and remember that magenta means  that the areas are too complex and as you can see   these are some areas that Len may not pick up  but you know that's okay because as you can   see we are in lumen in real time and it's doing  a fairly decent job of picking up some of those   areas uh but that just means that no light or  refraction uh will pick up and you know those   are some of the things that we can kind of look  into our settings to kind of see what can we do   about fixing and those things so um you have  reflection Ray lighting mode which you can do   optimize and that's just used to calculate the  reflections or you can do uh full which is uses   the real time data to calculate Reflections  um kind of see a little bit of a difference   not a big difference um I usually um kind of  use full because it use the real time data um   and then here we're going to kind of boost  up our quality we put up to three and then   you got your bounce count here as well so right  now we're at like five supposed that up to eight   you want to make sure that your shadows are on  and you know Shadows really do help uh bring out   your your renderings as well so make sure that  we have have that on and make sure that we we   got it at 400 um can kind of play around with it  just to see where it lands us turn to 500 okay so now if you kind of want to go into your FX to  kind of see the color gradient and the contrast   and saturation we already kind of got these all  set up I got the contrast at 60% saturation at   65% and color gradient at Blue tent you can  always go into your filter and kind of look   and see what options are there uh we're not going  to use a filter for this one uh today but we'll go   to our camera you can change your focal length  right now is at 21 def a field we're not going   to use a def field I did a um tutorial on that  that was a closeup of this area which I think   was pretty good um check that video out if you  haven't um also we can change the vignetting as   well so we do have multiple different um features  that we can kind of change up let's change our   sharpness to 30 and always make sure that your  parallelism is on um that's going to help out   to make sure that your verticals are parallel and  regardless of the view of the angle of the camera and we can check our environment Tab and you  know you can always play around with some of   these um tabs depending on what kind of mood  what kind of um kind of atmosphere you trying   to create as well location if you want the  sun to come from a different angle uh this   is exactly where you'll go from but guys  this is how you use the Lumen uh feature   which I think is a big game changer I  think twin motion did a very good job.
