TRYING COSTCO FOOD! NEW Asian Frozen Foods, Instant Noodles & Snacks

hello everybody welcome to my kitchen in this video we're gonna be trying the top costco asian frozen foods noodles and snacks now we already tried a bunch of them in part one so in part two we're trying the rest of them yes that's right there are so many items that you guys were like please try please try so i had to go back and grab it including the instant pho that everybody was saying is delicious so we're gonna try that last okay and if it doesn't live up to the hype oh you guys i'm just kidding i'll still eat it all right folks we have infiltrated the costco no distraction this time no lines this time straight to the money straight to the food here we go this looks dope okay so this is traditional korean rice cake oh my gosh this drag and ramen with spicy sauce so it looks like you get a whole easy to cook only eight minutes this is it's so heavy you guys it's either really heavy or i just haven't been working out one or the other but we should try this okay so this is a traditional korean rice cake and ramen with spicy sauce usually the spicy sauce is just a mix of like gochujang and sugar but this comes pre-made already and it comes with the shin ramen noodles so it says right here so let's open it up and see what's inside yeah wow it comes with multiple packs of these rice cakes noodles right here spring onion flakes okay it says store in a cool dry place before use keep refrigerated and sealed after you open the package so that makes a lot of sense because usually these rice cake i buy them frozen so there you go [Music] hi mochi oh no honey remember no paws on the table sick good girl and here we go oh the ramen and the rice cake everything's looking chewy let's let's dig in okay ready oh that's good that's spicy yeah yeah that is good i've made this before and i made my own sauce it's really really simple it's just gochujang which is korean red pepper paste and you add in sugar and then you kind of just add that with water and let it boil and then it kind of sticks onto the rice cake and the noodles do their particular sauce a lot spicier so high on the spicy side but there's just a little bit of sweetness at the very end of your bite i would recommend adding in a little bit more water than they recommended they recommended two cups i would say two cups and a half i followed the exact times it says three to four minutes for the rice cake and the noodles and they came out perfect chewy not soggy just like a nice bounce add on to this i suggest adding fish cake some vegetables if you want to i also added boiled egg that's more traditional ripoki good job tempura orange chicken open it up you get two bags like this and inside there's already a sauce so it's two portions baby go me beagle still don't know how to protect it we tried a couple items from them and they have been really really good you guys you can cook this in an air fryer cook chicken and air fryer at 350 for 12 to 13 minutes and if you don't have air fryer one before i poured on the sauce and it was great it's very tender inside i poured on the sauce and i can just it smells tangy and sweet the yuzu goodness full disclaimer i don't really like um chicken coated in sauce like orange chicken is not exactly my jam i'll eat it so when i got this i was a little hesitant however this looks pretty good all right i'm not going to hate todd try it so here we go whoa whoa that chicken is so tender what the heck it's so tender inside i wonder if i can show you one look at that thick chicken breast inside it's such a thick piece it's not like you know when you go to some restaurants and it's just coated in the crispy outer layer and there's no meat inside this is like thick and juicy tender chicken breast i am very amazed supposed to be orange chicken sauce but it definitely has more of that like lemony lemony lime flavor that comes from the yuzu the coating outside is not bad but what really is shocking to me is how tender that chicken is tbh if it was me i would just eat it without the sauce and then use like i don't know like chick-fil-a sauce use it with some hot sauce or chicken nuggets like sweet and sour sauce you know what this tastes like the outer layer the crispies part it tastes like chicken nuggets crispy flaky taste when you bite into a mcdonald's chicken nugget but the coating is thicker so it is thicker however inside there's so much meat and it's tender it's juicy it's quick it came out the airfryer just like that wow this is great bb go you have once again impress this hey guys it's time for a snack break get it i'm the snack and i'm on break just don't be lame don't be lame salted egg yolk cookies let's try it the last salted snack we got salted egg yolk snack we got was not good so hopefully this redeems itself you guys so i just found these dry sea cucumbers sea cucumbers is like you know like a delicacy but yo these are like the scariest looking snacks ever like that imagine biting into one and it's like gonna bite you back but it's here if you guys want stuff these things they're for uh random things you find around your house like a sewing kit or something and you put it in here all right they're not actually for cookies every asian household knows that my y'all this is so good it has strawberry and chocolate i grew up eating these so pocky and bees they're so good i'm gonna get one so you guys can see just kidding it's for me to eat what am i kidding i always thought that these were called yam yams but there is y a and yanyon it's in by meiji veggie is a company with a bunch of different snacks so definitely some point in your life you probably had something um these are so good and so addicting they have little like animals on their little sayings this is a goat and it says don't feed paper it says fun animal name games on each stick what does this one say this one says giraffe longest neck squirrel nut borrower look see longest neck nut borrower borer burr they come with two different dipping creams one is a strawberry and one is a chocolate and the best way to describe them is if you guys ever had pocky which is like those stick with like a chocolate flavor strawberry flavor it tastes just like that they basically like separate the cream from the stick so you can do it yourself so this is the strawberry one which is one of my favorite artificial strawberry flavoring that's what this is and it tastes delicious tastes like childhood this one i'm a double dip because it's all mine my problem with this is i always finish all the cream before i finish all the sticks so at the end of it i'm just left with like cookie sticks since we're on snacks i think i'm just going to cover the next snack that i got [Music] oh so excuse this all right i was trying to open it it wouldn't open i was like and this is this is the result so this is salted egg yolk cookies and it's from tk food which is a taiwan brand when it says taiwan i'm like oh gotta hop on it last time we tried these salted egg yolk crisps and they were not good unfortunately so i'm hoping we will redeem ourselves with this one this is the salted egg yolk cookies so you can open one up okay it looks super crispy super flaky oh this one is already ripped apart all right here we go looks kind of dry but let's see if that's true okay okay it's a little bit dry i would pair it with you know some things to drink when you bite into it it's super flaky like there's layers and layers of cookie crisp but then if you take a really big bite it's actually kind of dry however the salted egg flavor is definitely there and it's not like the other one where you like bit into it and it's kind of crumbled apart this one definitely has a nice crisp to it it comes with quite a lot too like look at this so you definitely get a lot if you guys like salted egg you might like this if you guys like crispy flaky cookies you're definitely going to like this it's just really dry so it's a salted egg flavor but there's almost this sweet buttery taste underneath it all very good they have this like samosa trio potato chickpea mango coconut chicken this is phenomenal we didn't get any shrimp stuff last time so i'm gonna try one of these shrimps there's like a kirkland brand and then there's this loyal asia brand this one looks better so go with this one coconut shrimp with sweet thai chili sauce you do this is what you get a big bag it also comes with the sweet chili sauce right here so i like that you know all the costco food they basically prepare a sauce for you why i like this one is because you can air fry it again air fry everything air fry everything to air fry this one is 360 for about six minutes flipping halfway through you can also bake it at 400 degrees for 16 minutes so whichever one you have while i'm airfrying the shrimp i'm also going to bake this so this i'm really excited about this is the samosa trio a little south asian food in here yes so this one looks so good it comes with potato mango coconut chicken and chickpea samosas and okay so that's what they look like when you pull it out on it on it you can read that one's chickpea it also comes with all of the sauces so these are all the chutneys so two tomato chutney and then the cilantro chutney is the mango one mango chicken samosa and this is a potato samosa so unfortunately no air frying um you just have to bake this one at 375 for 15 minutes i'm going to bake one or two of each flavor for the samosa and i'm going to air fry the crispy shrimp and then we'll have a little feast right after woohoo [Music] pleasantly surprised at how crispy it looks like it kind of feels like restaurant quality um coconut shrimp not even gonna lie so right off the bat the outer layer is so incredibly crispy and i think with just like air frying any of these frozen foods in general the air fryer just adds something magical man and it's everyone's always like it's just an oven i'm like yeah but it's something else man it's the air fryer or something else once you air fry you can't go back okay all right i'm gonna dip it into some of this sweet chili sauce so there's actually um coconut flakes in the breading so when you take a bite you taste the coconut immediately and if anything the sweet creamy um like flavor of the coconut kind of overwhelms your palate unfortunately i can't really taste the shrimp but not in a bad way it's just the coconut so strong so i dissected one just so you guys can see so this was how big the shrimp is and this was how much breading was on it i think when i was at costco there was like the kirkland brand so if anyone tried that crispy shrimp let me know if that one's good all right let's take more bites of this hmm it's not bad i have to give it to them because like when it came out the airfryer it was so crispy and fragrant i mean the coconut smell just filled up my whole kitchen i just wish the shrimp was bigger but i think it's depending on the pieces because one of the piece i ate the shrimp was quite big and the other one was quite small overall this is pretty dang good and it's so easy to make like pop in air fryer and then it's done so if you guys like coconut shrimp yo you'll definitely like this one also i didn't i didn't realize i have like like a lump in the back i'd be looking like a whoville character or something with this hair the samosas are ready to be honest i have no idea how long i put into the oven i thought i set a timer but i didn't but they turned out great like they turned out golden they look crispy i'm ready to dip it in some chutney chutney all right so here we go um so when i put it on the baking sheet i was like all right this one is chickpea and this one's potato and i have no idea which is which so i think we'll just bite into them and see okay i'm gonna bite into it first without the chutney i'm good everyone i'm good listen how crispy this is wow oh my gosh besides the fact that it was piping hot you guys the spices and the aroma it's and it's intense it's crazy and i mean the crisp on these samosas you guys heard it right that was amazing okay i'm gonna dip it into some chutney that was either the chickpea or the mango chicken because there was a slight sweetness i think it was from the mango i am actually not able to tell which is which which sucks wait this is what the potato one looks like yes it's got lots of potatoes in there oh you can still see the smoke coming out cilantro wow i love this potato one the crisp on these samosas is very very soft very very light it's almost flaky just almost flaky it's beautiful we also bake these too so tastes great tastes great [Music] and the convenience you guys the convenience if you're like i'm craving indian food one night i'm craving samosa just open up your freezer pop these babies on some baking sheet and then you're done wow it really tastes so good i need to know this you guys and any of you guys work for costco or like behind the scenes in costco like do you guys sample every single one and then choose between different brands you know because they're good like all the ones we tried so far none of them i was like nah this isn't this isn't good or you should every single one was pretty good these samosas though the crisp on these samosas beautiful by the way this video was filmed over a alright guys so now i've been dying to try this one no it's not the pho it's something else hold on i found something all right guys this is the latest hype man it's like taiyaki japanese fish shaped waffle cake with sweet vanilla custard cream oh it says bring the famous japanese dessert to your table i love it i love it i am so excited and guess what we can air fry it air fry everything airfry everything aircraft everything get down my cats are staring at me weird oh they're so cute they're tiny ones they're tiny taiyakis look i thought they were gonna be big but these are better tiny taiyaki is it says right it actually explains what it is for you so taiyaki is a japanese classic street food its fish-shaped waffle cake imitates the shape of a thai sebring hens thai sea brim and yaki which means baked oh the common fillings are red bean paste that is made from azuki beans custard chocolate cheese or sweet potato so this one is sweet vanilla custard cream i am so excited for this all right let's go fresh out of the air fryer again immaculate crisp costco i see you all right it smells amazing you can smell that sweet cream here we go let's buy into one wow oh that's so good wow so when i live in taiwan i always ate pinwheel cake which are these little little like circular cake things and inside there's like that vanilla sweet cream it tastes exactly like the sweet cream that is in here it's like sweet and creamy decadent i mean when you take a bite into it it's like that beautiful beautiful crisp and then you're immediately met with that creamy sweet vanilla custard and it's just a wonderful combo of texture i mean this one bite one by ready oh my gosh this is really really good something about the fact that they made it so tiny that makes it even more delicious i don't know i just love mini foods you know what i'm really just shocked with all of these costco food is just how crispy it comes out they call it the crispy waffle cake on the outside it's so so good it almost tastes like freshly made which i'm scared to say because you know the freshly made desserts are always better but wow when it came out fresh from the air fryer and it was like warm and you bit into it it tasted like they like i had my little taiyaki station at home and i made everything from scratch next up we are trying the beef bugogi mangu once again from one of our favorites baby gil mandus are korean style dumplings i wanted to get this because i wanted to compare this to the ling ling's which was our favorite even though we didn't like the name and i just soaked here so they actually had two version i think one of them was like the usual chicken and vegetable but this one had a so you know i had to pick the fancy one all right can i air fry this i'm just kidding guys you have to pan fry this okay i like all these packaging because they explain to you what it is so on the back it says mandu is a korean dumpling it's made a unique wave to hold an extra filling and flavor it also says what is korean bugogi the korean word bulgogi translated to fire meat which referred to the technique of cooking the meat over an open fire a traditional korean dish bulgogi is marinated before cooking to enhance his flavors and tenderness all right so i'm expecting some crispy dumpling with some flavorful bulgogi filling let's go by the way this is this is a gigantic bag all right let me see if i can open it show you what it looks like on the inside yeah oh there it is um i messed up i messed up yeah so um these are the dumplings they look okay but they're supposed to be much crispier okay so here's what happened the instruction says three tablespoon of vegetable oil and i was like three tablespoons that is a lot so i just scored it like a little bit you know just a little bit on the pan um and then i looked at the package i was like oh it's supposed to basically be fried so fried dumplings um so yeah i didn't do that i'm not gonna waste another batch of dumplings and fry them this is what came now at least we can see what the filling looks like right yeah yeah see it's supposed to be fried basically golden brown i think that's why they said it says three tablespoons of vegetable oil and only for four frozen mandus so that's why you fry at a time whoopsies all right let's try one begogi mandus wow wow this filling is so flavorful holy smokes you don't need dipping sauce don't eat soy sauce you don't need anything because this filling is marinated af my gosh you know that sweet glaze you get when you eat bugogi that's literally what this tastes like however inside obviously it's just like clumps of grounded dumpling meat or beef meat but they actually also have i'm gonna show you this there's actually little like vermicelli noodles in there it's a little bit of texture there's a little bit of texture it does have that like smoky smoky beef but googly taste that's what it tastes like wow very very good even though i didn't cook the outer layer properly and make it super crispy it was still really good kind of has like a smokier beefy aftertaste i don't think you can eat a lot of these because if you do fry them the way they're supposed to be that's probably why they recommended four frozen mandus to three tablespoon oil versus like cooking a whole batch i think i still prefer like pork or chicken dumplings but the beef one definitely a lot more flavor a lot more marination and finally ladies and gentlemen the moment you've been waiting for instant vietnamese pho it says ready in three minutes just using the microwave how good can instant fun be i don't know we'll find out i kind of hated on it when i saw it because i was like it looks super bland but you know you guys said to try it so here we go all right let's open this package up huh and these are so tiny look at this this is the real look how tiny these are is that good comparison i have a big face actually somebody maybe it's not a good comparison so this is a regular sized pot and this is um the yeah you literally just open up open this up place all the seasoning stuff in there fill it with hot water let it sit for like three to five minutes and then it's done you can even microwave it fill the bowl with cold water microwave for two minutes and then wait one minute and it's done you guys open this up it comes with a little package of rice noodles and then three packs of seasoning maybe that's what gives it so much flavor okay i see what's going on you guys like this you guys like this right here okay let's try it let's try it it's a noodle time send newt send nudes send news here's a link to my merch buy one i can't i added a little bit of my stairs in there a little cilantro little jalapeno i love beansprout you know uh right off the bat the noodles are incredibly soft and it smells amazing all right so here we go it's pretty good it's pretty good you guys it's hold on let me try more of this all right you guys win that's good um it doesn't taste like it just came out of a box you know what i mean like there's so much flavor and obviously you guys saw all the seasoning packet so much flavor but the noodle is so incredibly soft and i hate it on the portion of this but i think this is just the perfect portion because after you cook the noodles there's actually so much noodles oh wow i'll tell you guys what obviously the soup doesn't taste like you know fool you can get at a legitimate vietnamese restaurant but if you're craving rice noodles noodle soup some of that asian flair and flavor then yes this definitely satisfies the craving i am i'm kind of shocked i don't hate it at all and i can see myself wanting to make this on nights when i'm like craving noodles you can make a whole meal out of this like cook some shrimp or beef fish cake fish balls you can just like add it in here a whole noodle dish wow so is it does it taste like pho no not really is it still good though yes absolutely definitely satisfy the crate my cat's scratching the little room quite on set no pooping time done funny because the package says authentic fur rice noodles okay so those fat rice noodles yes it's used in some fun but usually full rice noodles a lot thinner um it doesn't really taste like fuzz but it definitely tastes good okay and it's so convenient and it definitely hits the spot this is good it's good it's good whatever and it's so easy i literally just poured in the water you can even microwave this all right it's pretty good it's pretty good i definitely recommend adding in some lime i think that'll help with the flavor you can add in some hoisin sauce and sriracha i think they'll bring out you know that taste but overall pretty good all right fine guys you guys win you guys win so there you go that was a costco food haul we reviewed all of the top asian snacks frozen foods and they were honestly all very delicious i want to know from you guys which of the items that
