Trucking to Corinth Mississippi

national declared a state of emergency by the court last night if there's one thing that four-wheelers need practice all kinds of lessons on its virgin verging on two busy freeways I'll thank you every trucker out there even if they're not Christians or religious they're saying hallelujah move do it preach it he'll do that sometime it is a weakness that most drivers happy don't want not emerge onto a freeway sometime we'll do a presentation on that I'm collecting for a joint the things that people do when they merge that are just nutty we are in box mill North Carolina at the TA all right being poor currently enough yes everybody wants to know the time it's why p.m. somebody wrote me you'll never tell us if it's sunrise or sunset in your movies if I say goodnight it's a sunset if I say good party it's a sunrise got my pimpin in a way for you to know like a hint I'm not insulting you I'm just telling you seriously that's good Veda to know well let's see what kind of parking we got here in Knoxville well those are all reserved parking places I do though sometimes to that reefer unit was long so I'll gamble and the reason I'm saying that about a reefer unit is it makes noise at night I hear it roaring so I may not stay here if you listen to that that's what I mean by being really loud that's my only point you well good morning 26 miles I have to go to make my pickup I got a kink in my neck this morning not sure why every once in a while I'm sure you're the same height when you wake up you slept wrong or something you got a kink in your neck now let's go get some coffee and check this truck out and I will be on our way to make our pickup for Memphis near Memphis Corinth Tennessee all right well we're finally loaded here paper rolls it was supposed to be ready yesterday but they just finished I've been here all morning now I'm just shutting up the doors get the paperwork we'll get rolling the Corinth it's actually Corinth Mississippi I'm going to knock horn Tennessee so Corinth Mississippi okay well we're rolling out of here twenty-seven thousand pounds that's not too bad I won't be complaining well Rand McNally wants me to take this up through Knoxville that's 587 miles something like that I have to go on 0.2 miles turn right on great bunch of little roads between here and 40 so not a bunch but 20 miles more to go through Atlanta they call just do down rather than go up the bad thing is I have to go through Atlanta so that I look playing about and we 185 which lets us through Charlotte last time I picked up here it was in the evening right at Charlotte's rush hour you know they got a brand-new bike passed around charm I like that now we just sit back and let the truck good stuff on our way that Corinth Mississippi thanks for riding along with me I really appreciate it we're about to cross over from Georgia into Alabama and it's been a great trip so far with the exception of Atlanta they have two lanes shut down was a nightmare but it's always a nightmare they have no brains in Atlanta we're going to be stopping in Oxford alibi most out of hours you bad news my parking places been closed down I guess the Chinese restaurant banana business that's just wonderful well I'm going to try to park behind this Shoney's man yeah they have linked it locked that off see all the trucks used to park right there in that parking lot I can't imagine Shoney's is going to let us home than the sign even says to no parking no 18-wheeler parky wait what am I gonna do now well I guess I could go to Pilate which is just up the street that's where we used to Park we could probably get away with staying here but I won't sleep well so I'm going to go ahead and move if there's the slightest chance of getting knocked on my door knocked on I don't like that all right we're going to try to set her down again we have four minutes on our clock that we are racing your heartbeat goes up it's literally like a race to beat the clock beat the clock everyday beat the clock I am really sick of love not because of loves itself but because they only have McDonald's actually they have a subway here but I'm sick of McDonald's and subway at every single truck zone I won't go into that I think I'm going to go to my storage unit get my refrigerator out of there start buying food and bring in it that's how sick of McDonald's in subway I am two minutes very very a lot of parking spaces over all right well it says I got a violation that little red exclamation point but I really didn't because I was here within two minutes let's see what it says this is the summary of my hours today so it says I went over it by four no it doesn't really say but I'm good even if it was 15 minutes it wouldn't be that big of a deal and people will ask well what would happen to me if I went over on my hours nothing unless I hurt someone like I got in an accident then that would be then there would be problems but quick look at that truck that's an awesome truck but he really keeps that up good great looking truck that guy's using the scale as a drive-through because he didn't want to drive around the way that I came in so he just used the scale as a drive-through I've done that before I try not to but it's the lazy way to do don't tell anyone all right well we got pizza we got a movie and a diet 7up so that's dinner I'm going to bed after that so we'll see you guys in the morning well good morning I had a good night's sleep I don't know about you we're still in the Alabama and we get rolling here going to there is a race by the way because I just tried to get a quick cup of McDonald's coffee and the line is out the door so I could wait so I'm sure Talladega Nascars go it's a great morning here no son to be seen one of you folks wrote me a couple of times wanting to me to go up 22 the new 22 you know going from Birmingham to Memphis and I told you the next time I was I would film it while we're going that way now so also point two miles take the edge ones to the left one high 20 West I'll catch some of the highlights for you I can't is that ask me to do that hopefully he'll be watching the only problem going through Birmingham when you're going on 78 which is the new 22 is here on surface streets going through it but we're not heavy that heavy this time so this it's not as bad it's only when you're heavy - you hit every single stoplight there we'll be going through Birmingham shortly we read Winfield Alabama just another stop on our travels up 22 to Corinth Mississippi we'll be there shortly that will be our next stop right now we're leaving Winfield Alabama and then from Tupelo Mississippi we cut straight up to Corinth I'm not sure what kind of highway that is haven't been on it a long time this is one of the old truck stops here on 78th / 22 right now they've got two new loves and the pilot so I imagine it's making these guys struggle the signs used to say future 22 now they actually say 22 I think once we cross over into Mississippi though that's where future 22 Mississippi's a little bit behind I don't know who has a better economy Mississippi or I'm guessing it's Alabama maybe not I'm sure you'll write me and tell me while we're in Tupelo Mississippi getting off of 78 verging on the 45 north lots of rain not Lots but enough to keep the windshield wipers on it's similar to a day you'd be driving to Grandma's house going to Thanksgiving the leaves have changed just enough to add color to the landscape just like you'd see on Thanksgiving Day now most of you know Tupelo Mississippi his health as the birthplace of rock-and-roll that would be Elvis Presley they used to stay in that Hampton Inn right there now it was no Hampton in fact in those days this was probably a dirt road hopefully it'll be this two-lane road all the way there or four-lane and we have another 59 miles to well we're here at the delivery but the door never the gate never opened so I'm standing out here in the rain waiting for the gate to open I pushed the button again and nobody's answering that's pretty typical for these factories so here I stand all right they finally came to the the de gate never did open but some other guy came it opened it so I guess it's broken so we're gonna drop off this trailer hopefully they'll have an empty well you know the routine we're going to back into one of these slots and see if I got an empty they're so friendly here usually these planets aren't so friendly but this is the good-old sound so oh I slide my talons I forgot to pull my pin so we'll have to just because they're so friendly I want to make sure that I do the right thing grumpy and nasty I really wouldn't care but I think we'll just back her up right here just well according to my iPad there are no Starbucks here which means I would have to drive all the way to Memphis well let's get out of here there is a truck stop nearby stand there before it's pretty nice one but it has a sign on it that says something like you have to pay or no overnight parking something like that I remember so we'll have to check that out and make sure we're okay to park there I really don't have any more hours I have seven more hours today but after that I don't have anymore hours off by 70 o clock for those of you who don't know what that means truck driver in the United States and only work 70 hours in a week so once that's done with he has to sit out for 34 hours until he can drive again all right we found the place sprint that's the name oh it's one of those kind where the locals park their tractors or their trailers there's actually spot free Wi-Fi I'm always looking for Wi-Fi actually it doesn't say free and this is Wi-Fi spot we might be here till tomorrow ready that's the sign that I remember to our limit customers only but I don't think they really enforce that otherwise why would these trailers be here unless they have a deal with the owner maybe and of course then we got to put ourself on line off duty and you can see what I mean I have only this many hours on my 17 but I do have hours that will be picking up at midnight so I'll be okay if I get a load I'm happy if I don't I'll be happy well it's a rainy gloomy day here in Corinth Mississippi and we are at the end of our road thanks for riding along with me I'm Indiana Jack and this is adventures in trucking
