Laredo

[Music] in the previous episode of adventures in trucking with Indiana Jack this was supposed to be ready last night but there's a Mexican inspector for the USDA who didn't show up so we did eventually in the middle of the night however so as usual and trucking everything has delayed now the reason it needed inspection for Mexico is it's that's where it's going obviously because it's going to Laredo so let's get on the roof [Music] [Applause] [Music] our story continues we are in San Antonio not exactly San Antonio the exact city is fun for me Von Ormy Texas and we only have another 139 more miles to go before we get to our city of Laredo always stop okay [Music] I don't think I've been to Laredo in probably two years something like that [Music] every time I go and then I come back it's all changed it'll be interesting to see if there's a lot of differences this [Music] I think that Laredo is still our number one port for trading with Mexico it could be a forest but it's either El Paso Juarez or Laredo well it's a trucks going to in and over in the border and out of the border filled with lots of stuff and I'll bet you anything we get stopped on the way out of here because this truck I have is kind of more of a nun descriptive truck not a big company [Music] the way they've been smuggling in folks is putting them in a reefer so they put them in you know in a reefer trailer and turned it to light fifty-five degrees so they're comfortable and away they go down the road and they've been in the news a lot where sometimes the reefer doesn't work mine works but I'm not going to smuggle anyone so sit back and relax and let's see if we can find some awesome trucks down here as we enjoy the trucking industry I'm Indiana Jack alright there's some kind of major accident on 35 southbound and they've rerouted us almost to the border of Mexico and the trucks are as far up there as I can see in front of me and as far as I can see behind me so it's taken us about 50 miles out of the way I heard some mumblings on the CB about an accident at exit 17 you never know what you hear on the CB if it's true or not we're all on this road that's illegal for trucks you know there's all kind of warning signs for trucks not to be a certain weight yet they've routed every single one of us trucks onto this road so here we wait truckers motto here we wait on the highway near Mexico while we're here the hysteria begin howdy what I got a live unload for you guys yeah a live unload chicken yeah you want me to go to the office okay where is it where is the office up there can I Drive or walk drive okay thanks she didn't speak one word of English well maybe one word she said office where do you part oficina yo egg / guns your new ik and out of the consumer unbelievable we got it door Lori and we I guess he said back I'll try that thing yell at us [Music] welcome to adventures in Truckee with Indiana jet I'm Randy and I'm Jay and we are the n ski brothers racing team from Polk City Florida all right we're all done here they tried to hopefully hostage one at $90 - well I didn't know that so I had to be creative and get $90 and then they said one of the cases was short but they've sealed the trailer on the other end in mid-may so I asked the guy if he was having chicken tonight and I don't think he liked that right I don't understand my sense of humor you guys do alright we're getting out of here we're going way south so get your seatbelt on okay they didn't need me to do anything so we're good I have three and a half hours left on my clock and exactly three hours to get to our stop tonight we have 30 minutes for errors boy these roads one wrong move and your indexical that might be interesting to be in Mexico but I don't I don't want to go there with you guys that happened to me once in in you month and they actually let me in Mexico and it was just by chance the guard was friendly coming back into the United States they let me back in with no paperwork or anything even though it was just a u-turn the guard told me if he wouldn't have seen me they wouldn't have let me back in crazy [Music] alright let's take a little tour of Lorado here [Music] well we made it all the way to Sullivan Texas here about 20 miles from our pickup in the morning if you follow it along on the map we took 83 all along the border of Mexico and actually looking to the right you could actually see it see right into Mexico so we're here at a little truck stop right off of 83 just gonna get something to eat and hunker down for the night and then we'll go pick up work we're picking up broccoli in the morning that'll be a first for me picking up fresh broccoli and taking it all the way to Tampa Florida so that'll be interesting if we could it'd be quicker just to fly right over the Gulf but we can't do that in the Swede we are run Hildago Hidalgo Texas and that's the exact city we just got some reefer fuel and they want this broccoli kept at 33 degrees so I got the reefer unit set at 33 degrees and just to our right here that is actually in Mexico so we are close interesting seeing these trucks here are from Mexico I was looking at some of the license plates so more that are actually domiciled in Mexico than what I thought so let's run over and hopefully the broccoli load will get loaded fast on this beautiful morning a morning made for truckin we're looking for 10-20 do you see it alright guys asleep I think no addresses the friggin one all right we're here let's go see if we can get checked in and maybe they can get us loaded and now to hear in a reasonable time [Applause] well I'm tired of waiting here so according to them the load hasn't even crossed over from Mexico yet so I'm not going to wait here all day there's another load 20 miles from here going to the same place it's closer to my house so it's a better load for me and it pays more so I'm gonna go over there and get that and screw this place I think they're lying and they don't know when the loads gonna cross over from Mexico so I've wasted four hours here I'm not going to sit here anymore so let's get out of here and go over to the new place now instead of Holland broccoli we're gonna haul avocados they're both green so let's head over there to the new place and get that one picked up [Music]
