TREE BREAKS IN HALF , CAN WE SALVAGE ANYTHING?

central leaders you can see the structure it's such a beautiful tree in here but that thing's going I'm taking that one out I'm gonna see if I can leave maybe something but it'll be such a big limb on down faster and quicker and so without having to rig we just came here to thought we're just gonna clean up one of a piece that broke off but we're cleaning the tree up we're leaving a finished product so that's not weird sawdust so friends I'm gonna use that last limb right there as a catch for the ones above it do you know what I'm saying [Music] [Applause] the chances we're just hooked up there we go you got that beautiful come in tight and flip it right over hang on I'll take a chunk off it go grab that [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] thanks buddy I'm gonna take a look at this friends I just want to see from we want something left I may have to take that out right out I'd hate to because it does have a the crown is feeding not and that is a big freaking wound with your wounds on trees like this friends stay off the collar as we all should know but don't feel like see here you can grab this stuff like I came straight off like this but there was more wood here so I cleaned up a little extra cut right there to make this as close to the collar as possible see that so that comes over and grabs ahold of this wound quickly and and has a better chance of trying to compartmentalize a big stub of an inch or two so this is good so we've got you see there's there's old pruning cuts right there for me last year look at it already if that was two years old I'd be surprised I don't think it is so it's got good growth good healing capacities so we're looking good here we're off the house that limb should probably go but mind you I'd rather pull prune that now that's actually not bad let's look at it from the front of the tree and see what curb appeals given us here look at today yeah so so that thing will go it looks stupid there see I always try and leave a little bit and then if it just doesn't look good I take it off but at least it's there gives you an opportunity so to me it looks like son you tell me what you think I think we got to take that thing right out no the the whole left leader or should I leave should I take and see if we maybe leave that little top in there because I don't want to open that big wound up buddy okay that's kind of what I was hoping to hear from Hogan so we're gonna we'll do that transformation now then we'll take another look at it okay friends so let's do that now we'll take that off and we'll leave that in but we'll cut these stubs out yeah go ahead so I'm gonna turn you guys off and then come back I just got a couple of cuts to make right here and and then we'll take another look at it and get the pole bit of variation maybe a bit of dead wood that'll be it so we're gonna get this truck full of freaking foliage look at it start buzzing it down here I'm gonna make a space and pull some of the wood out you alright well we got her it was a 911 os morning or late last night and we were able to to leave something that was bad actually no she is a sumac it's actually got nice symmetry in the ground real nice symmetry under the maple ER but I left that I'm but that thing's going I'm taking that one out I'm gonna see if I can leave maybe something but it'll be such a big limb on I'm actually glad I left that that one out there because that would have been a humongous wound on the side of that tree right there I'll show you what we did here for these swoons friends just so yeah and see what kind of the idea is here here's see there's an old healed wound there there's one that we took right back as tight as we could all the way around there's an old one there's one there big wound another one out there and one out there but so I left this I was not about to take this off so it's in there it's laying out good so we'll see how it does interesting would actually yeah see he'll come by is he'll get his landscaper to come by we didn't bring any goodies for cleanup friends so there it is it actually does look quite nice be honest with you here's the house side we lifted it way off the roof let's get underneath it here so you can see there it is there yeah so I mean quite honestly it looks like a nice bouquet it turned out nice it's got symmetry up into three up she goes and then the crown balances out quite nicely so worst case scenario it's a lighter tree now I remember when I first came to gyms you guys have seen this property a few times he wanted it all cut down everything you see here he wanted it cut down it's a very established neighborhood called departure Bay and it's a kind of a higher-end part of town old or higher-end part of town and look at I established the landscape it's like you want it literally to chop it down Jim you crazy bugger you he's probably watching yeah I love Jimmy the wood it's different stuff very different sumac hmm over
