[Music] [Music] [Music] hey guys I'm in Los Angeles right now I've been to the city many times in the past did a dawn on me I've never actually been here for extended amount of time just just filming food videos all over the place I mean I did occasional restaurants in my vlog I haven't truly explored the culinary singing in the city so let's remedy that and I've had a lot of Chinese food Japanese food Korean food in the city but I feel like LA's bread and butter will always be Mexican food so today at about 8 o'clock in the morning we're gonna eat through as much as we can it will start right here all right they recommended that labels Mexicano scramble eggs mexican chorizo and also for appetizers I'm getting the fright taquitos I try to get like the sampler platter so we goes way too much food and I am going to like six more places today so maybe I'll listen this time and of course some horchata I feel like this will be one of mini today I love this thing I'll be honest I've never really had really good taquitos I'm so excited to try it out here loving this so much everything from the crunch of the TM to that deliciously juicy flavorful meat it all starts with a crunch the texture completely changes it's like breaking down a barrier to someone you really like but they got that protectively wall up but once you break through all you get is tenderness involved in the tortilla shell because they make everything here you can taste that beautiful sweet corn flavor it's just so incredibly fresh I forgot something let's make it rain hot sauce few minutes in the crunch is still there that hot sauce not only okay I have a ton of heat I love when the hot sauce blows up a fight and try to wreak have it in your mouth I think it's got a nice firm but also the flavor is good and everything just cools down with a hit of that guacamole what bridge starting my deaf now let's turn our attention to my next dish wobbles mexicanos freshly fried tortilla chips proof right in some rice and here it is the magic eggs scrambled with chorizo tomatoes some cilantro and shoes it's a big size breakfast perfect combination tomatoes eggs slightly spicy chorizo with just a hint of char to get that kind of bit of bitterness and to eat this Oh to give you some warm tortillas freshly made and I don't know this is sacrilegious in that moment I'm gonna throw 22t a trip in there hit it with a bit of a sauce hey guys delicious slightly sweet from the tomato slightly spicy because of the chorizo and of course the hot rocks I should like to punch these to your trip spring I don't know if I was supposed to put this in here or not but I think it makes it better and it's cooked with just a slight bit of char so you get that tiny hint of bitterness that really highlights all the other flavors and I don't think this thing gets enough credit the fresh tortilla they made here perfect just a slight bit of sweetness I wish I could go to sleep and wrapped up in this and just leave my way out every single morning this has been a really really fun start to my Mexican to a gay but we still got a long day of food ahead of ourselves let's keep eating [Music] right now walking down Olvera Street was just known as the birthplace of Los Angeles a lot of you guys somebody come here there's dozens of vendors here selling souvenirs clothing and ooh this is the place I wanted to come to here and here I guess you can just grab a seat and it cook everything right in the window this place let Noche Buena and that translates to good good night which is typically filled with all sorts of Mexican foods so yeah that sounds like a good night to me and on this plate I got some tamales sometimes he throws a taco just want to try a little bit of everything I got some pork tamales that was a media tamale shop sweet buttery on the outside I'm sorry something about this tamale and I rarely say stuff like this ever I'm loving this corn dough more than a pork is suffering the pork is good don't get me wrong now say anything bad about the pork and I will never beat that disrespectful this is just incredible when you first a goodbye it's a little sweet then the magic starts to happen as you chew it becomes more and more buttery and the sweet corn flavor starts to stand out significantly and everything's just gently breaks apart in your mouth Wow I love just taking a small bite just enjoying that shuttle sweet flavor oh that's a kudos maybe you thought come here to eat that I need like Tim one of those the shape of my heart will now be the shape of this taquito just like the last place skin incredibly crunchy but this one just like great significant others it's what's on the inside that really shines flavor of the speed is phenomenom and I'm talking about the spices I'm talking about the meat itself as fatty its juicy it just exudes aroma the taco heart show little slice of tomato some lettuce and shredded beef this one it's still good the flavors out there there's a tad more drive to the one that was in my chiquita but that aromatic taste that hasn't changed a bit the wrong go is there's a place in Mexico yeah and all the different states have different flavors and this food is from Durango add in some onions and cilantro squeeze a lime looks like there's some kernels of corn in here as well alone just massive chunks of cow's stomach man you got a love cow's stomach to love this I love my cow stomach but it might be a little more to incense even for me but you definitely get a lot of that funkiness if you can get passed out great ball shook this taco place I'm going to I had it about four years ago when I came to the LA with some friends best tacos ever had in my life so I haven't got it out of my head so let's just go back and relive that food drink [Music] [Music] this place actually holds sort of a sentimental value for me excuse me one second oh well let's crazy deal I came here about four years ago it was sort of a guy's trip so I was here a bunch of my guy friends and we went to Sedona went to Las Vegas came here and had these tacos it was just all around carefree just a fantastic time and remember this place being absolutely slammed in these beams just the most ridiculous tacos I've ever had that was the last year of me and my friends took together and since then life happened people just kind of drifted apart no--don't life changed these tacos always remain delicious so I always can come back in this place they got so many different types of toggles I got the sampler platter so I could eat a bunch and then I got some of my favors over here start with a male hold on a little she's a random pumpkin seed first thing you taste is the fresh homemade Tsuchiya Sh they grind their own corn here to make these tortillas by the way moly sauce mix boiled up cumin really brings out that nice aroma the Tinga is a little spicy it's chicken braised with a little Chipotle a little Portuguese over here as well just a tiny bit of heat which right away goes cool down by the avocado this is steak with Bacon's some green peppers onions salsa Verdes black beans and it all is it ever juicy coach Anita's one of my favorite they're gonna be this really spicy chill oh and love love the chorizo how do my favorite things how do you not love sure reason I just like to take a bite and just slowly with the flavors and all my worries away this is that she let up real poor with chili verde tacos honestly one of the greatest things ever created I love this oh so much finally my shrimp taco that's shrimp taco I had work and he's sort of see-through taco I've had still with San Diego but they make a good one here all right that was delicious and it brought back fond memories it's about you right now the next cool place I wanted to go to doesn't open till 5:00 so let's go play a little game I like called act like a bear go hibernate wake up you some more yeah I'm not joking about that nap see ya dinner that was a much needed food nap but now more tacos because come on Tigers just make you happy like have you ever seen someone eating tacos and crying no so let's go get more tacos this next taco place I'm going to it's the most like a minion by you guys I think over 50 people said I got to come here and try out a taco at a place called the tire shop tacos here here we go I'm guessing that's that's the tire shop looks like Marky I'm sure there's a tire shop around here but there's just getting set up right now this is like watching the preview to the greatest taco movie ever and this is really cool there's something out here I just learned about this day it's called the VIN Pierrot that's a vampire taco it's not what you think the stalkers not gonna jump up and bite you in the neck or something but the tortilla is it's toasted toe it's really crunchy and it's concave so it kind of looks like a badly how's the first one here is still 15 minutes before this place open huge line already that is too pretty it's way too pretty you're literally making the tortillas fresh right here as I'm just waiting in line [Music] fourth porchetta I had today but I'm addicted I love this stuff I got four asada tacos because I heard those are the best absolutely amazing two pork tacos this is of imperil with a sada so just a shell is different toasted tortilla shells and when we lift it up beautiful meaty treasures uncovered that's the best looking quesadilla I've seen all day look at all the meat cheese onions cilantro snubbed in here I've been waiting for this bite all day right literally is please didn't open till 5:00 it's like dark now there's taco it all starts from the fresh tortilla wrapper this perfectly light show it could be the cover to the greatest novel ever written about tacos unlike any other to see I had that it's so incredibly light and it's got that smoky Norfolk flavor every mean that seems to be light like the common theme throughout this taco not only used it to treat a smoky Tomita Schmoke I like getting stuck behind someone puffing a cigarette in New York City this is the kind of smoke I'd like every time you take the fight looks like your senses are just kind of getting lost totally forgot me this is really bad at me squeeze a lime this for me is the essential and tacos but the state is so good until you've got about this squeeze the lime mash your peas right however I tried to vampire tacos sorry so hard to see late dark Brenden moving something crunchy this is your calling I really don't understand one of them how talk about is able to still stay open around this area or in Los Angeles in general I'm you're gonna spend $2 on Chicago white why would you ever go over there face it yeah love the kitchen yeah there's really just a combo over everything I think that's the tea I went to Hogwarts that's how magical it is time three more two more assadís one chorizo I've gotta try that chorizo is good still like the Assad offense I think but I can never go wrong with the trees off every single taco fills me with just a little bit of happiness I'm like up here right now but there's just one more thing I need to eat tonight to kind of round everything off let's go through that now it's about ten o'clock right now I'm at a random parking lot and it's already a huge line waiting for the corn man sounds like a food superhero it's like lining up for the iPhone should run it share food is like the only thing I ever line up for and it's really easy to make friends in this line because we all got something that come and everyone here is hungry we're all after the same food so you know you share similar food taste with the people in line with you and that makes great conversation and also when you're anticipating food you get a little excited a little more chatty so guys if you want to make friends go stand in a food line so I found these guys so you guys brought you guys this is hardcore did you bring some hot cocoa - we shouldn't it right well how are you guys been waiting you have an hour half an hour yeah don't you think so you have you know there's a lesson for you guys real chair and when I'm here by three at a time by three a drill tip is about 10:45 the core man is still not here I feel like someone needs to shine like that like a corn signal up in the sky he'll just magically up here he came instead of the matter about 10 minutes and the line is moving this smells incredible it's different than the yellow tea I had in New York this is because this corn is steamed not barbecued this corn hits a toe it's covered in coal keep touch cheese and that's melting due to the heat of the corn it's got some chilies on their mail tons of butter some spice blend and then the bull version with the cheese on top once you dig in and this is I can tell right now obviously this is gonna be way easier and less messy to eat than this but this is just fun on a stick oh all that is spicy buttery creamy and sweet in the heads there's like all my favorite things in the world butter spices cheese all joining forces coming together surrounding each kernel of corn creating this divinely inspired flavor he's able to put all these flavors together not overwhelming each other but making each element work in harmony to create this this corn on a cob masterpiece no wonder he's called the corn man does this his superpower not all heroes wear capes my friends and I'm so glad I ran into that group of people that's homine should not just get one cuz if I only got one whatever this I would be kicking myself right now and kicking myself right back in line because I'll be going for a second helping I'll tell you right now it's easier to eat but go for the cob secondly for some reason it just tastes better today was kind of weird because like I said all the places that one job you're opening times are so dramatically different this place doesn't open till 10:30 p.m. so I'm sitting here 11:30 p.m. eating corn on a cob yeah I never been happier and today was just so incredible going around Los Angeles exploring the local Mexican food scene which I really never done before and it only made me want to explore more so next up Mexico well not exactly next up next up but it's coming up because if the food is already incredible here you can imagine what I'll find down there and guys there's always all the places I went to is listed for you and my description box below thank you all so much for watching until we get again later uh video is not over yet is eight o'clock in the morning and I just want to hit up one more taco place and this place is supposed to be pretty unique got here already aligned this place serves media tacos and that's typically a stew made out of gold or sometimes beef and it's also used as a taco filling and a special shout out to Paul Kim who told me about this place so tacos for breakfast it sounds like a really good idea right now that's my shredded beef tacos put a goat taco and they have three different types of tortillas and this is the Dorado this is the most popular one so it's fried little area as well and I also got them in peridot this is the vampire taco the same thing I got at the tire shop taco page and this is the soft Atia the regular 2tf this is the custom a it's a stewed beef broth and oh my god incredibly beefy and if you look inside there's just tons of shredded be slightly greasy but it's just jam-packed with just a healthy dose of beef flavor the beef taco there's a genius this country to Tia is making my life right now the Tegea is not like Taco Bell crunchy taco crunchy is crunchy and airy also the perfect amount of chewiness to it don't get me wrong meat is flavorful juicy tender but the taco shell is the star it's almost like the perfect medium between crunchy and soft taco because it's grilled you still have that fantastic corn tortilla flavor and that's not missing at all but you get that satisfying crunch and that enjoyable chewiness as well this is the ultimate hybrid to TIA the shell is my absolute old and gold hmm I go this delicate I feel like it needs to go for a swim though dip it in my bra oh by the way I added some hot oil in here because this thing already deliciously beat the ice it is I feel like I needed a little bit of acid and actually hot oil and a little bit of citrus oh yeah that's it right there that's hitting all the right spots for me oh yeah the little shredded beef in there as well shred it go shred it beef some onions in this ridiculous taco shell if I was a food psychic I'd say this is gonna taste really really good yeah yeah that was a great production first time having hot oil and my talk I'm telling you guys it works so well hot oil really it goes with anything any cruisin in the world has some hot oil you'll make it better try to be amazing I really I should this is a vampire taco I got some hot oil on this as well this vampire talked home way better than what I had that tire shop perfectly crunchy not at all stale to tears amazing there's little lyrics she's on top of that and just jam-packed with me think I tried this place ah no I feel like I can leave the city in peace but at the same time always gonna miss this anyway I'll talk next time see
