Toyota Just Killed Their Best Vehicle

rev up your engines this might be S Scotty what do you think of a 2015 AV Avalon they're good vehicles they're relatively expensive Vehicles they kind of failed in the market because they were in no man's land Toyota already had fancy Camry and there's a bunch of lexuses that are kind of like the Avalon so The Avalons are like more expensive Camry but they weren't all that different from the Camry they sold the Camas like hot kcks The Avalons they stopped making them it's always kind of been in no man's land it's in a market they're great cars there's nothing particularly wrong with them it's just that at the price point that they had there were other options that people went for you know let's face the fix a lot of people are snobs they'd rather be seen driving Alexus than a Toyota so they're not going to buy an avelyn they're going to buy Alexus instead and the people who buy Toyota is like why should I pay more for the EV I'll get the camera it's about the same so that was the only reason that they really kind of failed Anthony Bena says it's a 2017 Ford twint turbocharged 2.7 EcoBoost a good engine all right the engine itself is a good engine and it depends on how you drive it and how you take care of it I had a guy a couple weeks ago brought me F-150 had 2.7 ecoboost engine had 170,000 Mi still ran good but he changed his door religiously he take care of his Vehicles right he didn't push him higher if you're the type of person that you're not pulling a ton of weight and you're not doing snow plow PL in the winter it might last quite some time but if you're going to pull heavy weights fill that bed full of stuff and plow in the winter forget it get the V8 engine don't get that they can't take what the V8s could take kander cat says good morning Scotty my Grand Marquee 5 L computer burned out how do I know if another computer will work well here's the problem that a lot of people have to understand if you're messing with computers and cars the computers themselves only have a tiny little fuse that doesn't save much all of the inputs to that computer all the sensors and wires are on fuse only the power wire is fused the rest aren't if you have a short anywhere in the system it can short out the computer so if you just say well my computer's burned out I'll buy another one pluged in if there's a problem in the wiring or any of the SS it's going to burn the new one out really fast right and that case you're really better off getting a mechanic like me to at least test it out because unless you're a riverbow gambler you're like rolling those Dice and seeing what comes up Snake Eyes if you do buy another computer and you got a short somewhere in the system and you've seen the computers right all those wires and those clipss that go in tons of wires any one of those things is a short it'll ruin a new computer so unless you're River about Gambler you should have a mechanic check it out to see is there another problem that made the computer go bad because if there is and you buy another computer you're wasting your money it'll just FY that one too just DMO says Scotty if you were a tool used for car repairs what do you so was all rusted on I got that Sledgehammer I whack the crap out of it then I got the part off I was replacing it anywhere I didn't care if I broke it cuz I already had a new one waiting for it right hammering away and off it came I'd be a sledgehammer with a short handle too the long ones aren't good for working on cars I buy the long ones and then I cut the handle short then I got a nice short one for whacking the heck out of stuff and it does come in handy hey when you know you're replacing the part you don't care if you break the old one right I'll be more careful when I'm taking things apart and I'm not but when you're replacing a rusty Hub or something what do you care you got the new one smack the old one out and then Bolt the new one back in Jacob lar says Scotty what do you think about do with yourself wood ramps are they safe well I never used one he's talking about ramps where you could drive your car up on a ramp so you can change the door without jacking it up in the air right well now wood is very strong yes but what's holding the wood together screws nuts bolts how strong are they did you crack the wood when you drilled them in and then you drive on and they break I would stick to steel ones I'm not a ramp fan cuz I don't like the idea that I'm driving up on a ramp you go too far they can flip over the car falls off it's stuck I like Jacks and jack stands they're totally controllable you jack it up put a stand in then Jack The Other Side Up put a stand in pretty safe you're not teetering on these stupid ramps that and of course on top of it is when you're driving on a ramp that covers up a bunch of the car you can't work on it you drive up on a ramp you can't work on the tires they're sitting on the ramp right I'm not a ramp and I would never make one out of wood I'll tell you that it's in kiss the Scotty I got an 06 Toyota with electronic power steering if I leave in the Sun the steering feel slightly Notch you what could be the problem well I'm assuming that you got a problem with the electric motor somewhat because that's the only part that really wears out because it is indeed an electric motor electric motors eventually wear out and have problems and when they get hot sitting in the sun they're going to have a problem and they will feel nachy once you get driving hey the wind of going down the road will help cool it off it's just sitting there in the hot sun nothing's cooling it off FY says who do you think's Rolling In The graymore Henry Ford or nicolea Tesla boy that's a good toss up there I would have to say Henry Ford because all the screw-ups Ford's done they got all the quality control issues they now rated everyone GM stalis Chrysler Ram higher than Fords in terms of quality right but on the other hand nicolea Tesla is not going to be happy Marone stole this thunder I invented the wireless said Marone now decades later they admitted well actually nicoa Tesla invented it right I mean the guy was a genius sure he was a little bit on the Nutty side but most Geniuses are little bit on the Nutty side look at Elon Musk the guy's obviously a genius and he's definitely a nut case maybe he's going to have that cage match read something the other day they said well that's going to be $100 on Pay-per-view you know I would never pay for it because if they did that and they collected money you'd know the whole thing would be staged you'd want them actually really fighting in a cage match that'd be something to see you know cuz they're both a little bit nutty but out of those I'd have to say Henry Ford's probably rolling over in his grave for what the company's happened since he's died and how Henry Ford did vertical integration so they could do everything and now Ford oh we'll buy this from China we'll buy this from Africa we'll get all these parts from all over the world and then when we can't get them gee we can't build our cars Henry wouldn't had that problem he built everything even the windshields Daman entertainment TV says my 2017 Ford Fusion 1.5 the AC doesn't cool fuse is bad I replace it but nothing works out any gestion all right well you replace the fuse and it keeps blowing you have an electrical short and knowing those things here's what you should do first go to the air conditioning compressor right it's got an electronic lead that comes off unplug that unplug it off the compressor replace the fuse and drive it around turn on the AC the AC will not work of course but if it blows won't blow cold but if it blows and it no longer blows the fuse you'll know the compressor shorted out in case it would be the clutches shorted out the electric clutch on the compressor but let me tell you this don't replace the clutch on a compressor on a Ford replace the whole compressor cuz if the compressor clutch is gone out the compressor is usually on its last legs you go through all the trouble taking it apart putting a new clutch in you'll find out two three months or two three days later it'll burn the new one out because it's worn out the compressor itself is worn out replace the clutch and compressor as a unit if that's the problem all right well San Francisco's fire chief is fed up with the robo taxis they have in town they're saying these stupid things do not know what to do when there's fire trucks and when there's ambulances and police cars flashing lights it confuses the robo taxis now the problem with a lot of these they have fail safe system right but generally their fail safe system is if the machine is confused it stops well guess what if there's a firet truck coming the last thing you want a machine to do is stop in front of the fir Tru right you think they could at least program to flashing lights are here pull over to the side of the road like people are supposed to do right fire chief of San Francisco saying maybe we shouldn't have these Robo taxes they they don't work too good with fire equipment and stuff like that it's PR usual I'm sure the people that made them didn't even think about this crap oh we'll try it out these are got a long way to go before they're actually usable any fool can see that you know I mean come on now don't don't think that these artificial intelligence or all that intelligent they can't even figure out to pull over to the side of a road when a fire truck or ambulance is coming there's only a few of these robotex is out but already the fire chief is saying we want to get rid of these things they're creating a problem for our fire trucks an ambulance trucks and police cars yes this artificial intelligence I agree with the name artificial intelligence because a lot of it is indeed artificial it's not real TB says Scotty I got a new 350 cubic inch crate engine my oil pressure is barely registered at idle engine has less than 1,000k did I not break it in properly you really don't need to break them in for engine oil pumps or anything here's the problem you said you got a crate engine now that could mean lots of things if it was actually a new engine and not a rebuilt engine if you buy a CR great new engine they're made in aftermarket factories where they put them together and then they they're new engines yes but they weren't built on the actual assembly on and often the quality of them is and if you did buy a remanufactured or rebuilt engine the quality of those is absolute Garbage I'd say probably 40% of the ones I see these days people put in a rebuild or remanufacturer and 40% of them aren built right they make noise they burn oil they make ticket noises the oil pressure is low but what you want to do start simple take the oil pressure sending unit off off screwing an actual oil pressure gauge see what the actual oil pressure is a lot of times those gauges are inaccurate right but if you do have low oil pressure they showed you a crapper engine that's what came out I see it all the time so if you never want to miss another one of my new car
