Top 5 Most Valuable Small dollar Coin Varieties

hey there YouTube coin community this is Dustin with coin-op today we are gonna be taking a look at the top 5 most valuable modern small dollar coin varieties so kick back relax and let's dive right on in [Music] first up we are taking a look at a Sacagawea dollar slash Washington quarter mule this is caused by two completely different dyes being used together this is a very very rare error this almost never happens at the mint now 14 of these are known to exist they range in value anywhere between 40,000 dollars up to a hundred and fifty thousand dollars in 2012 one of them graded ms 67 which is a very high uncirculated grade meaning that has not been in circulation was created by NGC sold in auction for a hundred and fifty five thousand two hundred and fifty dollars now this coin has the Washington from the Washington quarter and it has the Sacagawea dollar as well so it's combination of the two there is no date on this now they do know the date of it but there are no date on these so when you find one if you were to find one it would not have a date now there's a lot of companies that make a novelty of this so there are a lot of fakes of these out there there are a lot of replicas so if you happen to stumble across one of these definitely get it graded certified and authenticated [Music] okay we are gonna move on to a 1999 susan b anthony dollar on a Sacagawea planchet now this is actually a transitional error because in 2000 they started using the sacagawea's so the susan b anthony should be your standard copper nickel and your Sacagawea planchet is a gold plated so this one was struck on the planchette intended for the next year now these can be worth quite a bit of money there's currently only four of them known they're worth anywhere between 12 to 15 thousand the example you're looking at sold in Heritage Point auctions in 2005 for twelve thousand six hundred and fifty dollars now we are taking a look at a two thousand Sacagawea dollar struck on the planchette intended for the susan b anthony so once again this is another transitional error what had happened was some of the plant suits that were used the prior year prior on the susan b anthony x' ended up getting into the run of the sacagawea's so there's only five of these that are known once again they are worth between twelve to fifteen thousand if you were to happen to find one of these they have been found in rolls from the mint [Music] we are moving on to the 2000 P Cheerios Sacagawea dollar now Cheerios did this promotional thing where they they had put coins in their Cheerios boxes and all the boxes that contained coins which I think they did 10 million originally most of them contain Lincoln cents and then a few of them contained the Sacajawea gold dollars now five thousand five hundred of them or struck total these ended up having a prototype reverse now the reverse on these have much finer details on the eagle's tail feather than the regular run that they've used on all the others so you can easily distinguish these just by looking at the tail feathers now if you happen to find one of these they range in value anywhere from two thousand dollars up to eight thousand dollars just this year just a few days ago in 2017 of this year on heritage coin auctions an example graded ms 68 by PCGS that's a very high graded uncirculated example it sold in auction for seven thousand fifty dollars seven thousand fifty dollars so keep your eyes open for these you can find them now we are taking a look at a two thousand P which is a Philadelphia Mint wounded Eagle Sacagawea dollar once again this is a 2000 P wounded Eagle Sacagawea dollar it is listed as FS 901 now there are two prominent die gouges that can be seen to pass through the Eagles belly so if you're looking at the Eagles belly you'll see two died gouges that look like Spears spearing the be Eagle so they call this the wounded Eagle Sacagawea circulated examples if you were to happen to find one of these in your pocket change they tend to be worth between $40 and $100 now uncirculated examples however range from $200 up to $8,500 so these can be quite value all the way up to $8,500 so I do suggest you keep your eyes open for these at the you ever have a 2000 Philadelphia Mint Sacagawea dollar turn it over take a look and see if that's got a speared belly bonus coin we are moving on to the bonus coin for this bonus coin now there are a lot of different dollar coins that I could have used there are some very very rare dollars over the course of our minting of dollar coins in the United States I decided to go with the 12 second way of dollars these are 22 karat gold Sacagawea dollars there's only twelve of them and these all flew into outer space in 1999 with the space shuttle Columbia now I will post a photo with the crew but these coins went into outer space and you know that they had he kept them at Fort Knox for a while and every now and then they do take the coins out and put them on display and on tour through you know coin shows and various other things that the mint will do but these are the only 22 karat gold Sacagawea dollars that exist so just a
