are you looking for a really good solo experience when it comes to board games well in this video i'm going to be talking about 10 of the best solo games there is in my opinion coming up hey everyone welcome back to the channel my name is clayton and in this video i'm going to be talking about my personal top 10 solo games that i enjoy playing solo now it's a key thing to know that i actually don't play too many games solo but these are the ones that i have played and these are the ones that i can personally recommend so if you guys enjoy the content don't forget to absolutely destroy that like button because it really helps this channel grow and let's just get right into the video starting off at number 10 let's talk about rolling realms this is a roll and right game combining most of stone meyer games and the goal of the game is for a player to roll two dice and the player must use the result of that dice to generate resources and earn stars after three rounds the player with the most stars wins and in the solo mode you have three different realms and you have to try to collect enough stars in order to win in a certain number of rounds what i really find unique about this game is how each realm is catered to a different one of their games and if you're a fan of still maya games then you're really going to enjoy this simple roll and right game now if you don't like roll and write games then you gotta check out this next one friday you are trying to survive the hazards of a deserted island and you must optimize your deck of cards in order to defeat the hazards of the island now friday is just a solo game so you can't play this one with other players but i personally love deck building games so this one was a smash hit for me it can ramp up really fast it's easy to play and if you love deck builders then you're probably going to enjoy this one as well speaking of deck builders check out this next game mage knight build your characters to unlock special abilities gain new units learn new spells gain loot and destroy the cities it is a highly interactive fantasy game where no two games are alike the game is highly complex and card management is key now mage knight is on a lot of people's top 10 solo games of all time it is a really good solo game but since my life has changed over the years since having kids i find it too hard and takes too long to play to get to the table so that is why it's sitting at number eight but it is a really good game and if you have the time definitely check this one out number seven spirit island play as spirits of the island and fight off invaders figure out how to use your powers in the best possible way well dealing with the spread of the invaders now first off i just want to mention why this is not lower on the list it is a really good solo game however when i was doing this list i tried not to have too many crossovers with my previous top 10 lists try to give you guys more options for what games you guys should check out so if you want to learn more about spirit island check out my top 10 cooperative games of all time i'll have that linked down below number six a feast of odin now i love a good norse mythology game and feast of odin has a lot of ways to win a feast of odin is a clever puzzle worker placement point-driven game where there's multiple paths to victory you need to raid and explore new territories craft collect gerds harvest build chips and so much more in order to gain points so why is this a good solo experience well there's just simply so much going on in this game there's different ways for you to gain points every single game and in the solo mode the workers that you used in the previous rounds block those spots in later rounds so you can't keep going to the same spot making it harder each round to come up with new ways to score points it's a lot of fun the graphic design can use a little work but the gameplay is solid now for my next five games i just want to mention you can put them in any spot you would like however i went based off how many times i played them and enjoyed them so with that being said let's move on to number five sleeping gods it's an open world sandbox game where you're going to be branching off on different quests and there are multiple different endings depending on the choices that you make in the game and how many totems you collect on the way you need to collect totems to awaken the sleeping gods in order to return back to your home world fantastic story beautiful artwork in my opinion this is one of the best red raving games to pick up i think all the games are pretty good but sleeping gods definitely stands out number four under the falling skies it is an incredible but also very difficult solo gaming experience until this day i have not been the full campaign and under the fallen skies the goal of the game is to expand your underground base and gain access to more powerful actions allowing you to shoot down enemy spaceships and deploy robots but you also need to research and watch your energy supply your actions are powered by dice placement mechanics when you choose an action you also are choosing which enemy ships will descend bigger numbers will give you better effects but also cause ships to descend faster if you're looking for a good challenging solo experience i cannot recommend any other game than under the falling skies if you beat in it let me know in the comment section down below now my number three takes two of my favorite things that i like in board games deck building and dungeon crawl so you gotta check out dungeon alliance this is a dungeon crawl game that needs a lot of thought and planning build your alliance of four heroes and dive deep into the dungeon slaying monsters and completing quests now this game really mixes deck building and dungeon crawl really well and it has tons of different ways to play it if you want to play it solo player versus player cooperatively or competitive and there's also an adventure mode if you want to dive more deeper into the story it's a fun time and it doesn't take too long to play or set up i find it easier to get to the table than a game like mage knight so that is why this one is my number three dice thrown avengers this is an expansion to dice drones that allows you and up to three other players to news heroes of your dice thrown in new and exciting ways play through different scenarios and fight your way all the way to the mad king's thumb room you will gain permanent deck upgrades with each session now i'm a huge dice thrown fan and it's actually my favorite two two-player game of all time with adventures it just adds a whole new element to the game again it's easy to play easy to set up so that is why it's my number two now for my number one game it is a game that millions play around the world and that is solitaire just kidding my number one is actually final girl in this game you're rolling dice figuring out the best way to spend your resources and plan and figure out the best way to take on the killer in the scenario there's different maps to play it's a fun time it's a great experience and i really regret not backing this one on kickstarter it's my number one because it is really challenging you're not trying to gain a certain amount of points it doesn't take too long to play and it's very easy to understand once you get it going i love how all the different girls in the game have different abilities giving this game more replayability i love horror games i love the idea that there's always one final girl that survives and takes down the killer so that is why that one is my number one solo game let me know in the comment section down below what your favorite solo games are and check out this video right here to learn about my top 10 cooperative games of all time and i'll catch you guys in the next one take care
