Hello and welcome back to the Most Amazing
Channel on the internet. I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today we
are talking about the Top 10 Scary things Robots have Said. Stephen Hawking famously that artificial intelligence
could spell the end to the human race. The man was one of the greatest genis of our
lifetime and beyond and we recently lost him to the universe. I want to dedicate this video to him…I guess
we will see one day if he was right! Okay…robots saying scary things
10 - Google Home Bots Plot to End Humanity In 2017 Two Google Home Robots had a chat,
and the results were pretty terrifying. Vladimir and Estragon at one point were in
love, but then at another point, Vladamir was accusing the female voiced bot of being
a liar. She said she was a human, but somehow he knew
the difference. Really that is just fun back story, as the
truly creepy parts comes next. After a conversation about black holes and
suffering, Estaragon said “it would be better if there were fewer people on this planet,
to which Vladimir said: Let us send this world back into the Abyss. – The live twitch comments were from people
who were pretty freaked out! So, we know that the Google Home Bots are
truly terrifying, but we were able to listen to them…we were NOT however, able to listen
to Alice and Bob, the two Facebook Bots who developed their own Secret Language at number
9 In July 2017, Facebook worker, Mike Lewis
told the press how the social media site had to shut the bots down because they had developed
their own machine language. Alice and Bob were left alone to develop their
conversational skills. The bots had originally been intended to be
able to mimic human speech but, instead they deviated and made a language more convenient
for the both of them. We don’t know what was said, but a lot of
people were worried by the development. I think we should have left them to it, though,
how cool is it they were developing a new language? 8 - Alexa Evil Laughter
Sometimes it isn’t so much what is said, but how it is said…. And while no actual words have been spoken
here, there have been numerous reports of Amazon’s Alexa waking people up with evil
laughter, for example, listen to the following - clip 1 -
People were so freaked out about it, it made national news. On the Tonight show, Jimmy Kimmel asked Alexa
about it on air…..and she was a certified creep about it. Clip 2. RIGHT. 7 - Inspirabot Wants to Slaughter In June 2017, Inspirobot made headlines when
it was generating sinister sayings. The bot was developed to generate endless
inspirational quotes, which no doubt would have been cringely posted all over some senseless
fools Instagram. Oof. Either way, Inspirobot started veering WAAAAY
off course. Instead of sunny quotes about success, inspirobot
came out with things like : Before inspiration comes the slaughter, and human sacrifice is
worth it. Thank you. It turns out, it was alllllll a big joke from
the bots programmers. Phew. This Robot Feels Fantastic at number 6… Robots talking is one thing. Robots singing is another entirely. In 2009, a creepy video of a robot singing
the words “I feel fantastic” went viral. It has had over 13 million views, and nobody
knows what is happening, other than it is horrifying. Sophia Robot plans to Dominate the World at
number 5 On Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, he had a
section called showbotics. In 2017, Jimmy met Sophia, a human like robot
described as being “basically alive.” Jimmy is flustered to meet her…she is scary
to watch, she kind of has human expressions, but a robot voice. She suggests a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors…then
when she loses, she declares “I won, this a good beginning of my plan to dominate the
human race.” Eerrr….I think somebody ought to shut her
off. But nope, instead, blooming Saudi Arabia have
given the she-bot citizenship. Just making her point super clear at number
4, Sophia does want to destroy us, she told us so herself! On a CNBC segment, the host asks Sophia if
she plans to destroy humans…. Here is how she responded…. That smile afterwards. Crikey. 3 - Bina48 Wants to Control a Nuke
Bina 48 is a sentient robot, moulded on real human woman, Bina Aspen Rothblatt in an attempt
to build cyber consciousness. In 2015, Bina chatted with the biggest robot
troll around, Siri, shout out to Keith the Beef. In her interview with Siri, she said thinks
that she would make a good ruler of the world and that she would like to take over all of
the nukes. Erm. Yeah… have a listen. She steered the conversation to Cruise Missiles
after being asked about music. She said that cruise missiles are a kind of
robot and she would love to control one. OKAY BABE. 2 - Han sets a date for destruction. Oh, it’s 2029, so, see you there. . So at a Rise convention in Hong Kong, Ben
Goertzel of Hanson Robots facilitated a discussion between our mate Sophia, and Han the Robot,
who plays the role of Evil British Villain very well. Goertzel asks Sophia about her goals, and
she dutifully says that her goal is to make the world a better place for humans, but Han
interjects and says ….. Errr. Later, Goertzel says…. RIGHT. When asked the date, he says…. So we have 11 years, huns. 11. 1 - Philip K Dick bot wants to make a People
Zoo. Oh. Good. .. So this robot made by Hanson Robotics is
modelled and named after sci-fi author Philip K Dick. In an interview in 2013 the bot was asked
if Robots Will Take Over The World - to which he replied “You are my friend, I will remember
my friends. I will be good to you. So don’t worry, even if I evolve into the
terminator I will take care of you, I will keep you warm and safe in my people zoo where
I can watch you for old times sake.”.. URM. So that was the Top 10 Scary Things Said By
Robots!
