Tom Devlin's Monster Museum - Plus Rockafire Skeletons!

[Music] heyo carpetbagger here coming to you live from the West where specifically Boulder City Nevada and I'm outside of Tom Devlin's monster Museum now I was fortunate to receive an invitation from Tom Devlin himself to come and visit this monster Museum and I'm very very excited follow me puppet master X extermination and we get full-body characters and then shrunk them down and Jeff actually played ten of them oh wow and they run around on a green screen it was closed off very cool [Music] [Music] the Wolfman here we got that that's my creature it's not screen-used that's creepy eventually her head will spin it's not there yet but it'll spin on like a motion says working on getting her a spinning head and she also needs bed posts her bed posts aren't there yet should happen pillows who's this oh you're on faith talk on season one yeah and this was a character ID that I got pretty well known for and that's actually my head he's holding your head hey hey but his name is Teddy told me to and he was like a horror villain Sean Cunningham the creator of Friday the 13th was our guest judge and he loved it that's awesome I was like that was a cool moment you know it was very cool a life thing that was on the show right now this is what I got kicked off the show for and it was beautiful it was all what uh what did they not like about it no I really don't get it in Fangoria magazine which is like the number-one magazine at the time they use that as the pictures for their for advertising the show really like that's fun so they used it they used it in the advertising but you didn't let them take a job okay so these were in which puppetmaster these were from access termination puppetmaster access termination [Music] those are from excess rising sir Nazi werewolf there yeah that's where Bach that's all stuff from killjoy 3 4 and 5 I did all three of those film Oh megapiranha yeah that's that I did some time that company called the asylum where we pretty much created those make a movie well you work for a Cylon yeah which ones do you work which ones you work on well all these ones up here a freak show Princess of Mars megapiranha I also determinated make a shirt vs giant Aqua yes Mega Shark versus die knock above trans more first to Halloween night I did that's a rock which is this super piece of now is this the face from the that's from Gingerdead man versus evil bong and this Gingerdead man versus evil pop yes we did the same thing where we shrunk down the Gingerdead man that's the actual Gingerdead man from that's either from gender dead man versus evil bong yeah or I think I reused it an evil bong 666 as well and that's the alien bomb can you move only three actually Princess of Mars with Traci Lords was my favorite Asylum film because I was 12 years old that would be like my favorite movie princess of Mars it's a John Carter John Carter of Mars these real Chucky's I did the part one alive Chucky because a lot of people forget how creepy Chucky was because now he looks like a plastic doll yeah but you know once he you know had that a live look to him he wasn't kidding like where he was like when he's trying to turn like when he was trying to get Andy at the very you you I mean he just had that like real rubbery he looked nastier than he does now in the in the more modern sequels so just feel like a minute cop that's like one of the most lesser-known slasher films but start brewing bill and Tom at Kings and of course robbers at our I love me a cop it's one of those movies that just oh he's obsessed I've never seen that one it's crazy they got one of the critters up here was one of my favorite shows back in that early days is if when they live he's my dad Roger Oh Jacob nice to meet ya good we have killer clowns from outer space [Laughter] [Music] now what I heard was that when they filmed Ernest scared stupid they repainted the costume really that's the junior dead man from like seven times and it's so many things that all reuse parts and stuff for in natok see well you worked on poultry guys that was my that was my deal what's key what's key it means you're the head of effects Oh an effects team of a bunch of people something knew what they were doing in a lot you know clue on one of the craziest missions of all time because what working with Lloyd is crazy working with Troma is I met lloyd briefly yeah he's goofy - so you met crazy uncle boy yeah is the most intelligent film really he went to Yale he was in George Bush's class rally his wife has been the film commissioner of New York City for over 20 years really he's he's the head of he's the vice-president of the AFM which is the American film market which is how you sell a movie in America so he's a different person but you make crazy uncle Lloyd conventions and he's he's been in my corner since the beginning that been a fan since I was a little kid I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for Troma so this is the screen years general monster and some of the set pieces it was all from poultry guys chicken nuggets jumped in your face yeah his costumes awesome I work on a little budget but that was zero budget and and we pulled it off it was so fun used over 500 gallons of blood got some Ninja Turtles [Music] [Music] Michael Myers [Music] Freddie so what do you use to make these figures so they're all a little bit different like Freddie as a silicone head most of them are latex I've actually prefer to work with latex and polyfoam it's my medium of choice and I actually think I'm gonna change Freddie and make him out of latex because in in real life he was never silicone he just looks cool silicone adds like a production value yeah and then like you know some of them have to be Scott like the Ninja Turtles or full-body sculptures toxie's a full body school yard but when Michael Myers he has a mannequin under there cuz doesn't need to be yeah I know full body sculpture but so they all they all vary a little bit but mostly a polyurethane and latex drawers a creaky here all right going into the behind-the-scenes work but I know you're an adult arse yes customers are accustomed Zoltar has those all come from Boulder City but also tarts Wow I did not know the how tar Pappy the talking hammock but all of that comes like Foley and dick Roberts yeah Jake Roberts is my coach actually I'm a student snake pit Pro Wrestling Academy Russell yeah sim Bodie D'Lo Brown and Jake Roberts are my coaches that's amazing like we had we had mouth of the South Jimmy Hart there the other day Gangrel comes in and does clinics like we get all its awesome I've known same Brody for years through movie work yeah and so once I moved to Vegas I instantly was like I gotta be a wrestler because I've always wanted to and I'm terrible I'm a toxic Tom Devlin that's my that's off exact ones I had that when I was a kid actually it like worked like a puppet you could use the eyes I mean that's the kind of stuff that inspire dead twins and Charlie insisted that she had large boobies so that's a that's the Gingerdead twins now voiced did someone voice Luc carried me Israel Gingerdead man Davey Jones here's everybody's absolute favorite penny wise it's awesome your four-year-old daughter helped me and she did a good job cuz she's helped on other stuff where it wasn't really help it was just like hanging out we got ash those deer isn't gonna start laughing at me tonight that is a really creepy deer head though this little hand right here was secretly used in the movie Congo what's terrible the hand of the movie they kid touches this and it fell off and there's just this brouilly saw beyond it went nuts he's still under there I think so oh no the heads gone that startled me [Music] [Applause] here is something that it's extremely rare not only is this a rock afire explosion set but they are free of their skin you actually see into their bodies into their working part that's Mitzi mozzarella there if your ears and beach bear got the one arm that's his mouth I think Duke LaRue is the name of the drummer there's its mouth I like how that works very cool here's their skins right here then good old sid haig and I didn't know it had a broken window and we bought it so we got [Music] fog machine going in there so there was a still huge shout out to Tom Devlin for inviting me to this amazing Museum some very very cool stuff you're highly recommended if you're in the Las Vegas or Boulder City area and I learned something new I learned a lot of new things but also tarz come from Boulder City pretty strange this is this is the first place of my stalker Zoltar anyways I definitely appreciate you guys watching if you'd like to see other places that I've been please check down in the scriptures have an interactive map that will show you all the places I've been and even make suggestions on places you think I should go and if you want to donate at least three dollars on patreon and I'd be happy to send you postcards while I'm out and about on my journeys so other ways to contribute as well I saw t-shirts and all that is out down in the description and for now this one's in the bag
