reason you play chess um you know in a long   series of matches against the russians against his  opponent he will definitely lose but in one offs   anything can happen and that's why we play the  game so uh good job for levi winning that game yeah no it's like it's like actually a good  example is when i play dance when i play daniel   a lot generally if i play daniel in a handful of  games it's anything can happen if it's like one   or two games anything can happen but in a best  of ten generally i find a way to um i find a way   to win in the match uh when it's a longer period  but in like one or two games anything can happen   um that's the thing from i am a gym is not far  i mean we can go over this you know a million   different times i've said it before uh there's a  huge difference between playing between classical   chess and blitz chess there are a lot of players  in um in blitz chess who play way above their   rating other they're like i'll give you an example  java curtis and i is an fm and he plays he plays   blitz at a 29 3000 level pretty consistently  um obviously there's sp city novel though i   don't really count him as an nm and um why is my  tie break lower because we're very early in the   tournament i haven't played all the top players  that's the main reason but yeah classical is very   different so when people think that somehow that  blitz games translate to classical chess um you   know the better you are of course the more it does  translate or correlate but again there are a lot   of players especially like the 22 to 2400 range  who are really really good at blitz um but are not   are not as good over the board daniel's on  fire um daniel's playing well but i mean   his us championship result it looks better than  it
