welcome back lady and gentlemen today we have all my best tips and tricks to help you understand the first ascendant so you can get ahead and make the grind for yourself exponentially easier one of the most important things in games like this is just having that knowledge so you stop wasting your time and this is going to be the first step for that a lot of the stuff in this game just is not explained very well and this is a summary of all the things I've been going over on stream and everything is also written up in this ultimate first descendant guide that's linked down below for you and like usual all my build all my guide updates and that dock are up updated on stream live then I post them all in my Discord first so make sure you join if you want to keep up to date with everything that I'm doing and start making friends to play with because trust me you're going to need as many as you can get for now though we're lighting this off with the most important thing you can possibly do on the first descendant that's understanding how the access info tab works this lets you go through almost everything in the game and is probably the best feature that makes this entire thing playable the menu can be kind of overwhelming but if you just take the time to read through the entire thing once you block it all in the game will start feeling so much better to play across the board and when you want to farm something like I have spray and prey here already but if I just click on modules I type in spray it lets me track it for instance I'm not going to turn the tracking off because that's one of the mods I really want and when I go to acquisition info I can easily just find pretty much whatever I want the list is like massive but I don't really have to go that far to just be like okay I just need to teleport over here go do that and I have a 5% chance to get it but I lot of people I've seen a lot of people really confused about how Korean drop rates really work this isn't a 5% chance to get spray and prey this is a 95% chance to not get it with a multiplier of suffering so I mean if you slam enough hours into it eventually you'll get it uh there's been a whole bunch of like honestly just extreme tin foil stuff going around like oh maybe it's character-based maybe it's you know you spin the pin wheel and you just let it ride and you'll get exactly what you need for the most part I can tell you that it's just completely random somebody's going to get it the first try you're going to get it the 100th it's just going to be frustrating I was farming a 40% the other day that took 13 attempts you just have to say it is what it is and move on with your life and on the farming note you also shouldn't really go out of your way to farm the CER shards early on because you are going to be gated by Mastery levels anyways and since you have to farm so many characters uh catalysts and energy activators you'll passively get enough on your journey that you won't have to burn yourself out running that same Mission over and over again and because you have so many duplicate mods just from doing so much of the game you can just hold shift and I would get 880,000 if I wanted to Nuke all of them right now but before you do that you also want to make sure that you don't have anything like special so like for instance uh if I combined like four purple mods and on top of that if we go down to like yellows or oranges if you combine four of them it should always uh roll a mod into that tier specifically but because I've already done all my oranges and stuff like that I'm pretty safe to just go into dismantle hold shift and just get my 75,000 shards because I need them right now so I personally think that collecting over farming is just more fun and better for long-term brain rot honestly just completing the main story feeds you a ridiculous amount of shards and gold and will also net you one Catalyst to change a mod slot and one energy activator for free the second free activator is your first level 40 character achievement and honestly W King the main story Quest as fast as possible is the best way to play the game because it opens access to level 100 gear which makes you the strongest you can possibly be but if you do get stuck and need more power the best way to level up fast is to quickly go over to the Special Operations terminal and just pick any one of these I personally prefer the uh CER mining I think this is the best one because you get rewards at 2 four and six and then you can bounce out if your part is really good you can stay until 8 and 10 but most of the time you probably won't get past six especially if you're lower level and you absolutely need to do this specifically for exp there's also quite a few bosses that are Gatekeepers for pugs I think hangman is probably the best example of something that requires to do its mechanics so when you get here understand one guy needs to grab the cube at 8 minutes and 10 seconds and the other three people need to shoot the face out twice when it has the giant glowing bar this reduces it by about like 40% every time you break it and then the cube gets put back in that's the entire boss guide outside of his statline so let's say you are struggling and can't beat it no matter what communication is the main part of the game but nobody ever types in chat and it feels like you're playing alone in pugs 99% of the time simp simply just start paying attention to chat or at least what people are saying if you're lost when you go to bosses I know voice is enabled by default and most people are like heavy mouth breathing into it so pretty much everybody's turned it off at this point but at least read the chat it's really really important to just work together especially on the bosses that have like one mechanic but after you're done smashing your head against your teammates join pretty much any Community I'm not just saying join mine join join any of them just so you can find people or a group to play with then to make things easier you'll also see that every single boss has a stat line so Hangman's weak point type is Crush which help you just rip pieces off the boss a lot faster then you can also see he's going to be doing electric attack so you need electric resistance especially if you're orb running he is also very strong against fire damage so you wouldn't want to bring that but he's super weak to poison so you would want to bring more poison damage and just adding that extra element to your weapon as a mod goes a really long way for that and later on in the game when you start getting into the hard mode bosses like executioner is going to want you to have 7,000 electric resistance now when I did it I did not have 7,000 electric resistance and I just wke him with my free-to-play bunny build and the funny part about it was I just stacked enough defense and health to be able to eat all his stuff and stay in effective range the most important part about the bosses is staying in your weapons effective range so you don't have any damage fall off one of the issues with their AI is they'll constantly be backing up from you but for the most part that makes them easier and you can really just run it down on them and kill them but you have to be that like level of tanky to be able to do that so the best way to get tanky is to stack as much HP and defense as possible with your external components ideally you're looking for a perfect role of Defense HP and resistance on all four because Shield is really only good after You' farmed like basically a perfect set there's also bonuses that can dynamically change the way you play your character and can make some pretty insane builds so just keep an eye out for what you're picking up and make sure you're favoriting and putting stuff in the storage that you'll probably need for later some things to look out for are consumable drop rate gold drop rate and CER Shard drop rate those are all really important to have for your farming set now early on if you get unlucky you could just mod for a resistance to counter whatever element you need with antibodies and even late game having extra res never hurts but a lot of the time you don't need it after you hit a certain threshold so General mod tips to carry you from early to late game will always start with upping your sub weapon every time you mastery rank up because it gives you more mod capacity if you Catalyst it it does also give you plus five I personally think the shock punch is the best because it just let you wkey Elites you could just punch them knock them over and they can't even fight back a lot of the time that's really handy when they start getting a lot of different modifiers but you can use whatever you feel like I was trying the toas out and some of them are pretty cool but when you start getting into normal mods it's very important to focus on defense and Health First a super basic setup is all you need then as you progress in a hard mode you can start swapping into the better purple mods and I really can't recommend enough just getting an extra HP and defense mod because they will hard carry you there's also a separate modifier that's reduced damage taken and that's on top of everything else and that helps you get like crazy levels of tankiness I was using this on my glay build and it you're basically almost unkillable after you kind of Stack that entire thing out then after that you just want to go for skill modifiers be it damage or effect depending on the different character and that's going to give you the best possible progression curve one thing to keep in mind well modding is that early game you don't really want to upgrade too far and you call your keeper shards so keep it to rank five blue and rank four purple until you have enough to push past that this chart shows the exponential increase so you can see what I'm talking about and a very important notice the vast majority of mods are multiplicative not additive so when you build your characters out and you have like a 5% base crit chance you don't want to build into crit chance and when you look at your weapons and they also have base stats like the beam weapon has 1% base crit rate as at its base so if you go to increase its crit by 20% it's only 1.2 and that's pretty bad so you want to scale its raw damage and magazine size as much as possible then when you get access to something like charge rate you strap that on and it'll turn into a real monster and then if I was to energy activated B weapon it would definitely be to add bonus Elemental damage to whatever I was fighting and then fire rate after that there's also been a lot of talk about like what weapons are the best you can pretty much make any weapon super good obviously there's some with better scaling and in general they do give you one of the best SMGs in the game with the thunder cage just make sure when you're upgrading legendary weapon passives you have your highest level one as your main one or you end up nuking it and you're going to have to reroll and everything and the rolls on the Legendary Weapons can be fairly expensive early on but later on you'll have so many materials it won't really matter getting all these bonuses rolled on any weapon is super important it is a main part of it scaling purple weapon wise the rocket launchers and sniper rifles are fine but you don't really want to use a purple ammo weapon early on until until you get the mods that let you get bonus ammo when you pick up other types specifically the impact round conversion I found is just the best from what I've been testing so you want to stick to an orange white and green ammo weapon setup for the vast majority of the game until you can properly support having something like a rocket launcher or a sniper later on because if you don't have the extra ammo back or an Enzo you really just never get to shoot the cool thing and that kind of sucks also almost every shotgun in a game is worthless except for Smither because of the aggressive damage fall off so you basically have to be Point Blank and almost every enemy will punish you with CC for that so a big tip from personal experience is to never take a reactor that needs a shotgun because reactors are where you're going to see the biggest power spikes to your character your sended skills also get stronger with two modifiers so Freya would want toxic in Tech so I can search that up and go find the perfect one reactors are also the most important part of your kit because they're your base damage that all of your multipliers scale off of that's why it's important to scale this up as much as possible by upgrading your reactor and making sure it matches a weapon you'll also see that purple gives a 40% bonus of legendary gives a 60 but there's a definitive difference in wording here with the purple only needing to be one of your three weapons to get the bonus that means just having it on your character and every legendary reactor needs the weapon to be mounted meaning that you have to have the weapon pulled up and ready to shoot to be able to get the bonus so if that's your main weapon you always have it out it's really good but if you don't have the matching weapon out you just lose that 60% bonus if you cast a skill so that's why it's usually better to go for a purple reactor until you have the perfect legendary weapon and reactor to match that so hopefully that helps you make better build decisions for your character because your main character is usually the most important decision you can make on a game like this you really have to enjoy the grind and love it to keep grinding and all of the base characters are more than viable I see a lot of people saying Oh no just wait for the primes no you can make all the base characters super strong the main differen is between a regular and ultimate descendant are a very slight difference in defensive stats and the ultimates can also use two extra uh exclusive skill mods that are labeled on the mods themselves and if you use an activator or Catalyst they are separate like if you use it on the normal one you'll also have to use another one on the ultimate the energy activators give you 30 total mod capacity and the Catalyst let you roll a mod slot to a specific type and reduce anything that matches that slot by half these work just like for and Warframe and reset your character or gun level to one when you use them now as for crafting this is limited to five total crafts and the main tip is just to make sure you're always crafting fine adjustment control axes and regular control axes with just enough iron accelerators to upgrade a reactor if you get a new one phase exchangers also help a lot when you're leveling but once you get to the point where you have hard mode unlocked in level 100 they stop being relevant on almost alt together unless you need to um make a legendary weapon level 100 you'll also be crafting Catalyst activators characters and weapons all at different times and it's just going to make it so that five limit is going to be more frustrating than anything else but all that stuff does come from late game farms that are fairly convoluted and need their own videos my general tip is that when you start getting into hard mode dungeons you need to roll the modifiers to get the best rewards but on average after a lot of testing on every hard mode dungeon you need about 230% to get the max reward from a 40,000 Point dungeon and you only need about 200% from the rest of them you also need to make sure that you can jump and grapple a lot of the dungeons just can't be completed without grapple there are a couple that can right and I have them all listed in the ultimate guide but not being able to spam jump just makes the game feel bad allog together Vault Farms are also a super late game farm stop doing them without Enzo alt together you're just wasting your own time he gives you more materials and makes them free to do like literally free they also all have static locations meaning that they never move but sometimes they just won't be spawned so when you load in just press Tab and scan and if you don't hear anything you can spam reset them just the same way that you reset the rest of the map just by porting back and forth so that's the easiest way to Vault Farm now probably the most important tip because there's a million bunnies around is to disable battle voice so you don't have to hear them he heing I played for 12 hours straight two days in a row and it haunted my dreams but if you do have some good tips and tricks for people to help them get into the game just drop them down below and I'll do a pin comment with all the best ones and then we'll put those in the ultimate guide as well all right one last ride okay one more last ride okay one last Last Ride okay one more Super Last Ride super duper last literal ride yeah good enough
