This Shrub Is So Big They Can't Use The Garage | ECHO 58V Hedge Trimmer ABUSED

hi this is Brad with Copper Creek cuts a lawn care company in Northeast Florida now today as you might see I've got a bit of a project here we've got some hedges that haven't been maintained in some time this cluster is blocking access to the garage there's another cluster blocking the access to the front path and two clusters that are blocking light from the front windows so we've got our work cut out for us as far as what we need to trim now as usual I like to put in some special treats and today's no different we're trying out Echo's 58 volt hedge trimmer now this is the only tool aside from some rakes for cleaning up that I'm gonna use to cut these three clusters of hedges if you've seen some of my other videos you know that I like to test equipment in the worst possible scenarios not the best because if they can handle the worst that you'll ever put them through then you know for day-to-day use they're gonna hold up just fine so that's the purpose of this a second purpose is we want to test the life of the two amp and four amp hour batteries while we're using this hedge trimmer here is the center cluster that we're going to worry about as you can see anybody walking on the path has to get up close to an intimate with the shrub which is no good we're going to take care of that and then you probably won't be able to see it but behind this is another window to a front bedroom so we really want to open that up and get some light in there now a couple of things to consider when this is all done these shrubs are not gonna look very pretty we're taking off so much so aggressively that there's a very good chance that they'll look scraggly and rough at the end of this I let the homeowner know and they're ok with that in a couple of months they'll fill back in they'll look great and manicured but after today they're probably just gonna look rough but unfortunately that's something that just can't be helped because of how overgrown they are and how neglected they are as far as debris pickup we are going to just take advantage of the city's curbside pickup so we do have permission from the customer just to stack everything up on the side of the road and wait for the city to come pick it up so that makes things quite a bit easier for me there anything that makes my life easier is always good so let's go ahead and get started so we can see how this eco 58 volt cordless hedge trimmer handles this really overgrown mess and so we can also time the two amp and four amp hour batteries to see how long they last in a hedge trimmer application let's go [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] can you see it we're still at 3/4 of a battery so somewhere between 2 & 2 and 3/4 so I'll do the math as to how long that ran and put it on the screen for you all right so here we are does it look a little different do I look a little different I'm beat I don't even care enough to hide the lab Mike anymore I'm just like whatever let's just film it and wrap up so yeah now they've got full access to the garage if they need it like I said guys and this is something that I found when you put your work on YouTube you very often have to defend it I am NOT trying to say that this is good hedge trimming this is a this isn't a this is the necessity when you let your hedges get this big if you want to get them back in control there's gonna be a stage where they just look absolutely horrible and like I said I told the homeowner that before and they were happy with it they understood so this is kind of one of the those situations where it's the best that I can do you know if you want to argue that I'll be more than happy to discuss it in the comments but that's kind of the situation as I see it the light back here should actually be able to shine out past the bushes and the homeowner can use the garage if they need to let's go take a look at the other clusters now as you can see here somebody's going to be easily able to walk without getting molested by the shrubs and we've got another couple feet here that we hacked out we've got light to this window so that front room is going to be much brighter and again the shape it's got a rough shape it's not a very good shape but it's pretty much the best I can do and then there's one more cluster over here now I think this is the one that I'm the least happy with but that's just because without bringing the full trailer and you know all my setup and making this a full-price job which just was a little bit of a discount this is pretty much the best that I could do with this large area over here I didn't want to completely hack it off because I did like how it kind of hid the house and gave a little structure and shape to the house and again the homeowner was fine I took her out here and showed her everything and she was okay with it but the other thing too is that you know there's just big sections where stuff isn't filled in it just doesn't look good so so again if you want to argue that doesn't look good hey you're preaching to the choir but you know we the job was just to take down the growth and make it look a little bit more presentable so that in the future we could go ahead and shake things up the way we need it and I think we did that and then one other thing that's important is that we freed up access to the electrical box here so the homeowner might have got in trouble if you know somebody from the electric company had to come out because it wasn't accessible this company is who ties are electric and they're pretty cool so they probably just want to cut it themselves but at the same time if we can avoid any potential issues with utilities companies it's better to so hopefully I'll have a before where I can show you but you know pretty much all
