This Rescue Got Too Dangerous!

[Music] okay let's go so we got a call for some type of a vehicle that has tumbled off the Danish Ranch Road right over the edge it's all baled up we got to go up there and see if we can get it out got Jamie it's windy outside and it's like 70° I don't know it's a little chilly for me this morning Kobe's going to be swinging camera what you got there some breakfast swinging a pizza I got a lumberjack bowl from Maverick it's part of this complete breakfast and we have Jake and Caitlyn in the mor for close ground support just got loaded up at Maverick following Matt and Jamie super excited to be on this job I won't lie I'm a little nervous last time we were on this road Matt referred to it as the Cliff of insanity see the Cliffs of insanity we're going to get him [Music] out Roll Roll It Off [Music] I'm hoping this job doesn't take too long because we've got a lunch date with Holly at In-N-Out burger with the secret menu so here's the deal I don't like In-N-Out burger and I talked to somebody else who doesn't like In-N-Out Burger they said that you could actually get good food there if you know about the secret menu so we're going to test that today I'm excited okay we got the Drone in the air let's see you find this thing Cliffs on this side Cliffs on that [Music] side the vehicle went off right here somewhere that's a view Caitlyn look at that this is really Steep and we didn't bring very many extensions for the wi I hope we can reach it what do you got for Colby I see it looks like a blue golf cart looking side by side down at the bottom of this Ravine holy smokes look how far down that is well looks like we're going to have to scout this out I [Music] do jack this is going straight out of the Rock right here whoa I don't even I don't even see a crack in the Rock do you copy down at base camp we copy I crashed the Drone I'm going to retrieve it that's a big 104 where's it at that way oh boy good luck all right let's see how did this come down here look look what it did to that tree wow we need the world's smallest wrecker so did it come down from up there yeah it came off this Edge right here landed on this tree and obliterated it then it looks like they tried to drive it out think we going to drive up here that's what I think wish we had the key to this yeah that would take forever to go up the hill and it would destroy a lot yeah that Hill is straight up and full of Boulders and Cactus and lizards this is an old road right here an Old Road or an old ditch but I'm saying it's an old Road looks like purposely stacked rocks and oh yeah man I'm thinking maybe this is a job more bear dude this is going to be crazy getting through there yeah it is Matt have you ever ran into snakes out here M what's the uh colors to look out for just leave them alone they'll leave you alone so we have rattlesnakes we have Western diamond back we have side winders we have some we call Timber Rattlers but somebody told me that they're not really Timber Rattlers but I've just never had a problem with snakes I think people are scared of lots of things that's just not warranted okay so following the GPS on the Drone did not help me at all it said it was on that Ridge but I hear it beeping on this Ridge over here so let's go find it there are those [Music] guys ha found it there you are old buddy you can get down through here the more can totally handle this it's going to feel awful I would go up here this is sketchy man yes sketch but it's totally doable see this is good it's just there just C so there's two roads here two old roads right here I don't know if that's the original switchbacks like I don't know these are old Pioneer roads so this bottom one goes straight down to the bottom the Bottom Road goes to the bottom and but then we didn't walk the creek to see if we could get up there so I'm going to walk down this and see if the creek is viable um or we find out so we're we're getting permission to drive in here right now so we we can't do anything till we have permission but um I think we can take one of these old roads and do it in a trailer and he crashed off the road and this wasn't tied on very good and the trailer fell off and the truck fell halfway off and we were out of town they got the TRU trailer but this fell off the trailer in the process of the wreck and up down there look at that tree yeah I'm glad no one was in this cuz they would not be here anymore you go get the wrecker and park it at the bottom of the hill you just going to wait here Jamie sure I've walked down out back let's send Jake and Caitlyn to go get it seriously I'm Jake's done the same thing I got this Jake just take the take wrecker up to the top there's a big turnaround spot up there yeah that's why I turn the war around did to make sure the bugs were out I blew them out you even eat the little the whole thing yep just chew it up just squish it and chew it I wouldn't say it's the most delicious thing I've ever eaten but it's not bad so good have you tried these K nope well he didn't die the last time he ate him so they must be okay there you go kobby it's worth eating thanks I think you should garnish a salad with these it would be pretty little flowers on there do you just chew it like gum or just swallow it chew it chew it like lettuce they're not awful floral floral there's a little hint of sweet there's a little nectar in there we're still waiting to hear back from the forest service I'm pretty sure they're going to give us the go-ahead since this is an old road so we're not just totally cross country and uh we got to get that out of there and we do have the capability of dragging it up there it would be very difficult with all those Ledges I think the impact of dragging it up that will be greater than just driving in here driving back out plus we won't be blocking this road and this Road's pretty heavily traveled so I think it'd be better all the way around I hope they work with us on this so the whole time we're looking at this and seeing how bad it is I just keep saying the same thing over and over again we made the vehicles to do this we have the vehicles we brought the right equipment to do this road any vehicle in our Fleet would do this even even the Bombi that would be a miserable ride the Bombi would do [Music] this we got a bee in here doing its job well flew away just pollinating oh here's a yellow one Cactus blossoms are I think they rival roses personally so it is now [Music] noon so I just let Holly know we are not making it to our what is it In-N-Out Burger lunch secret menu we're probably just going to prolong it this isn't going to take very long once we get clearance many many many minutes later all right the for service is called we got the green light let's go do this for those of you that ask the question why don't we have a shovel on the wrecker shovel on the recer that's right [Music] our switch Pro's down not funny so the switch Pros went out that means we have no lockers recer High centered need some lockers I think we're trying to diagnose what's wrong hey it ain't going to happen okay [Music] [Music] I just witnessed Matt use his tongue and his finger as a test light I think I found the problem right there I need a 10 mm okay nothing man all dead is that light on that thing yep y this is bad we probably cooked it with the headers is what we probably that makes sense we have everything we need though to fix it uh I can neither deny nor confirm but I'm making progress and that should cheer you up thing about electrical problems if you just keep looking long enough you'll eventually find them keep licking long enough man we should disconnect batteries for this this could really get spicy we could be it could really start welding new flash burn from this and literal Burns there's a couple things that could happen there that's the offender right there and you're probably right the fact that that's not laying flat in there is probably okay tell me about how about now nothing what do you mean nothing not me see okay there now I do okay it has to fill capacitors or something who knows who knows how electricity Slough off then tipping [Music] over is this the first time you've had to pick something up off the bottom of this Ravine here yeah I mean I've picked done a lot of things in this area but I've never done one off the side of the road like this part like4 mile that way several qu mile that way several all right while we're waiting for this thing to get ready to go I got something special for you guys I'm going to try to zip tie the Drone back together so we can get some good shots going to go around here worried that's going to slip off of there okay we've just got to do that whole thing again that's I keep saying it but that's really the truth this thing's going to be pushing and pulling in weird ways are you sure you want to take the high route again there's no low route you can't get but what I am willing to do is get go through the sketchy part without this on it and drag this through it I am willing to do that we'll see what this looks like very soon all right footage might be a little wonky a little crooked but we're going to get it okay does this one still work I hope so I'm feeling it ready for another slice of pizza we're going straight to In and Out Burger and we're going to get some secret menu food we've got this all hooked up and we're ready to head out of here it's going to be more difficult because now we've got all that weight swinging from the boom I'm
