This Is Why You Throw BIG BAITS In City Water! (A MONSTER Fish Lives Here!)

he's gonna have a go yep there he goes what's up guys i've come out to the downtown area uh it's pretty easy to see the landmark so i'm not going to try to hide the fact that i'm downtown now right next to this gorgeous spillway that explodes right into the middle of buffalo bayou i'm so excited today is such a good looking day and i think we've got a good chance to catch some really good fish i've been here a few times before and i've had good success each time i've come out so very excited about the possibilities of today so so oh so oh my god something already took it holy crap something just came up and took that carpet immediately how on earth oh my god it's already over there son of a gun i didn't even have time to set the set the dragon everything i i cannot believe that happened try to get a feel for what could be on the end of that vicious vicious fish there are some voracious fish in here i might downsize the bait see what happens all right let's let's see who's doing that i'm gonna save this bait in a minute use it again in a minute well let's go with a smaller piece of of the fish there we go and see what happens downsizing to something that anything could take because i want to know what that is there we go get that scale off of there so we get a good hook set go out yep there there's something boom floats under incredible this is definitely a of a clean take let's not give it a lot of time because odds are it's a catfish there it is there's the fish look at that oh my god that's a really nice one that is a that's a pretty nice one i'm going to get a a heck of a lot bigger than that out here but that's a healthy catfish right there i would imagine there's just loads of them down there oh i'm on something very small oh look at that look at that i i didn't even know this guy was on i was just bringing my bait in and look at this the tiniest little flathead oh he's beautiful oh what a beautiful little fish and look at that he's so tiny he couldn't even really take the bait there we go normally i'd let him have that but i actually need it that's gorgeous tiniest little flathead i ever caught oh he's so cute what a pretty fish these guys are prettier than any other catfish they really are colors on these things just incredible incredible fish oh i love it let's get him back let's get this guy back this is this must have been what was moving the bait but he couldn't take off you know with that that big lead the bite has definitely slowed down i think we're gonna see if we can move spots uh on a different section of the bayou maybe some fish are still active down that way so up this monstrosity we go okay so look at this ah that was just walking up through the stuff every one of these is super sharp oh oh oh oh oh hang on [Music] i think she took my other wine fish took my other wine he's running with it thank thank god it's the first run i've had for hours and hours and hours to get a good sized bait break this out of the way [Music] [Music] whatever it is still has it because i'm using a float which is still under oh oh there's the float there's the float the float's moving upstream it's way over there i didn't even see it he's over there it's very slowly bring this line in i want to get this big boat out of the line without the fish realizing that i'm here it's always a bit of a challenge you still got it though and it does not mean it's gonna be a big fish but like i said it's the first run i've had all day doesn't mean it's gonna be a big fish but like i said it's the first run i've had for hours and it's a decent bait i'm just taking the bow out of the line and reeling down to it he's about to pass that clump of weed right there okay we're about well it's an alligator gar it's an alligator gar beautiful fish beautiful fish beautiful fish just saw him all right guys let's do this fish on fish on he's lighting the drag up a little bit he's gonna he's gonna have a go yep there he goes oh thank god it's getting worried we're not gonna get anything there's still they're still out here they're still hunting he's a good sized one that's a good-sized fish right there that's a real good one the water's kind of kind of cool today i mean we're getting to that time of year where everything started slowing down um oh wow he's even better than i thought he was that's a that's a damn good fish i am quite happy to have that that is a that's a much better fish than i thought he's just not fighting very hard because it's so uh it's getting so cold this time of year and no i'm not wrapping this around my hands come on buddy oh beautiful fish that's a much better fish than iron originally oh no no no originally thought we'd hooked trying to get it over its pectoral fins not the gills lord now i have people watching okay undo the spool it doesn't seem to matter because it's tangled around the rod tip there we go you can see it doesn't matter if you open the spool if you tip wrap yourself i gotta readjust this real quick before i put any kind of real pressure on anything i don't want this thing hold it hold still i don't want it in his gifts or her gills i want it to yeah get right behind the pectoral fins all right now i can maneuver it okay that's a that's a good fish that's a really amazing animal wow that's incredible maybe a new thumbnail picture for the channel yeah i know and she's off you know i wasn't playing totally stuck i wasn't planning on uh slipping everywhere i wasn't planning on getting this muddy today that fish is 100 worth it fantastic animal i love it i love it i love it i love it probably saw the look on my face that fish uh swung his head around real hard and put a nice smacking on my shin that hurt you know muay thai is something you do all the time you flex your you know your uh your foot raise your knee for all kinds of different checks cross checks and all that i'm not gonna lie that that's probably that's probably the most uh useful application of uh getting kicked in the shins that i've had in a long time is being able to take that and not start crying anyway let's get this other bait in and uh we'll head out of here all right
