well here's an unexpected surprise I am driving in the midwest I have a pretty full van I wasn't going to stop and shop anywh too serious but then I went on Craig's List in St Joseph's Missouri and they said this is the weekend of the white cloud and Sparks flea market I'm going to go to the places where I found deals last time and just look at those and this field at the end of White Cloud which I've hit first is the place it looks like they've had some moisture here so we'll see what's out and what's left but I did pretty well here last time giant anvils and a giant trap and reproductions of tractor seats now this place is going to have a lot of farm junk cuz we are in the middle of farm country fans I just got a good one though and these say they don't run well the wizard might well let's see the flat gridle anybody new old Kansas license play there definitely going to see John Deere tractors that's an older erle there where are these heads that's interesting Leo the litter lion oh these are trash Canam lids and we've got the tin Woodman milk the nation Builder a shie that Turtle has ridden in that box with those knives the whole time I broke the pl the plexiglass on the front of this and that Turtle survived last year this what happened it got so hot that a beautiful Barlo knife you ever seen one mil can get a lot of junk jewelry that's newer but I'm not seeing older pieces but I'm willing to look real quickly that's got some age but not a good Style White Cloud is somewhere between a small town and a ghost town but there's a little bit of renovation going on not at this place but the main action is out on the streets this is a great price $30 now somebody defaced it a little bit and I don't know if you could get that off looks like they taped over it but I think you clean that up the usable rack part really is down low though you'd have to use baggies or something and I don't really display that way but it's still a great deal says 1955 right on it this box fan behind it is pretty cool too 145 is not a bad price on this the smaller ones are actually more usable for a lot of people now if you're a firefighter or collect such things it'll fit in a smaller space and it's original it's a lead l 19 50s make your dog happy decent prices compared to what we're seeing on these store displays great little glamper there bab [Music] FL sometimes the buildings open up and this one looks like it is full of stuff now so we're going to go look piles and piles of dollar stuff probably a little bit of room to be made in these little miniature perfumes if you wanted to mess with them I have several already oh a teeter tot I haven't seen one of these in a long time this is from the 1930s originally I think they made them into the 50s in Ohio they Bounce Around in are lots of fun Guardian where is collectible for certain and they have a lot of different pieces here this is made up until the 40s in Los Angeles California there's your guardian service mark on the bottom having the lids with the Trojan on it is the important thing if they came with the glass lid that's why this threepiece has problem more antiques and collectibles next door we're going to have fun in here first woo look at all the Christmas and look at the huge prices we Uncle Sam he looks ready to for a rumble soldiers marching that's a great light from the Second World War era the paint isn't great and they want 85 got a whole bunch of those myself really cute stuff but this is like being in an antique store as far as prices go these are really fun hung and L as lamps they are looking for 225 go get out Angels Tre pottery Jade I mean they've got this stuff AR those cute that brokin that's a possibility 15 these look really old they are reproductions from the 60s hute hooked rug from the 1920s with Mayflower reprinted the dolly only $15 I was headed to Florida they take that now Royal Copenhagen I haven't seen this year so much there's a few earlier ones 55 we don't see 54 that often St Louis right around the time of the World's Fair not specifically a World's fair plate though hairline crack you got to watch for those cute little Fenton Jam for 30 this is very cute probably North Road around 1900 but it is broken right there Denver Colorado plate but I'm so far not seeing anything I really have to have that's Josiah Wedgewood there Chief sleepy ey in Minnesota that's kind of neat which with Christmas plates I don't know if people are ready for that yet and anniversary plates as well anniversary of their Christmas plate is specifically what they're saying 1978 this is cute but not very old see the black felt the jewelry table will be the place we find something little bit of China jewelry $5 those are on post a little more in here let's see what this is sometimes these are Sterling so we'll take a look but I don't see any mark on that indicating that it is all right let's see what else there is more women each of these seems like a little space almost and I do notice some difference between pricing depending on which one you're in I like these 1930s Japanese teapots $18 is pretty good on that and the bamboo handle is still intact and that's important UD Kansas Citizen State Bank custard glass that might glow into a black light but not all of the early custard has a lot of uranium salt in it so some of it doesn't glow much you have to watchh hey everyone Seattle World steer these R by Veta arts in Oregon 2250 on Victoria's reign longest reign in English History until her granddaughter Elizabeth came along this is 1897 for the Jubilee of her 60th year on the throne heot of 65 amberle bases 40 I'm just not finding deals here oh Princess Grace Grace Kelly American actress became royalty this looks like an Avon owl with the solid perfume and there's the perfume in the pen I kind of like that oops see if we can find a price maybe they're not on to Avon yet enameled sets there's $12 on that $2 on that I like the color I think these are yours too transfer wear lots of color that was popular around 1900 nap in company of lenworth Kansas that's who it was made for but again it's Roland and Marcel and it's John Elden Priscilla this would have held cotton and that is clemenson of California from the 40s only fear the lord that's cute a little bit affected up here unfortunately all right some more Fenton but not prices I can touch this is newer but I like the queblo collar it's rock who interesting piece $35 and the pink Manhattan compo you don't see pink so often 1750 is a decent price on those people started using them as martini glasses but you have to be careful when you clink the edges because they're sharp you can break them praying hands bookends now see those have older green felt Lego Japan 1960s 1750 this is a metlock and on nest in ceramic for $20 and this is different the coloration is not their usual at all they generally made them to match the regular din wear lines but this one is multicolored pretty nepon jar but it say it say is okay this looks like Alexandri glass blue in fluorescent and lavender in natural light $7 is good price Martha's Vineyard really yeah James boner James Bonner yeah I've seen pieces down in Florida at a show of his before yeah yeah that's pretty neat so you folks all just get together and do a popup when the show comes here or yeah we move out tonight we're just here right yeah it must be a bunch of you in here because you did a lot of work to get ready that is definitely something you see in White Cloud for the show our pop-up shops that come about just for this event twice a year then they go back where they're from those folks have an antique mall in abene Kansas a place that I have shopped before and I've got a of all the people in there the gal at the end was the one who had the best deals at Sunday some people are already packing up this guy with cool camper I guess is have it but he seems to be shopping somebody else's space now this guy always gets a lot of garden stuff industrial stuff another big huge be trap L of useful things in this space this is an old coures just speckled to look like it is made in China but cute idea this guy had fun things last time oh a grave rubbing that's an interesting thing they kind of discourage that now they say it wears the graves out $30 on the Sylvania case this is the first time I've seen racks and things at reasonable prices in a long time however they're not very useful ones or they're too big for me to take very Loosely then costume jewelry tree I look at these sometimes because even if they've RI the backs off sometimes there's pins on there I found a Giuliana pin worth $200 one once and I had a back put back on it and sold it for 100 as is this one is trari I just bought that yesterday but I don't see anything too valuable there5 tables some cute stuff oh it's prices are really good but I haven't seen anything I need to have yet boss hotels tiny Tupperware $10 on the Pyrex I like that color it's a little dishwashed though and I just bought a whole bunch of Pyrex look like could be anything in here boxes so we'll take a quick look it's a little different at the end of the show than the beginning I'm sure people pulled some good stuff out at the beginning this pin missing a few stones but cute new stuff old field glasses these sell for me sometimes in fact fairly regularly but they're a little well is that just damp I think they've had some moisture out here this weekend see if they work I can see H yeah these seem all right um but they won't say Shut yep these latches if you don't press them in before you push them down you can wear them out and oh well too bad they even said private eye on them Howard Miller pretty traditional some old bottles here these are going to be local interest in the HOSA that's unusual looks like 1930s or 40s it's amazing how many white women were posed as Native American women in the 1920s but they made some very cute pictures anyway this one is priced at 65 in the convex spring it's a violin bottles originally these had metal Bales but people will collect them and just use them cuz they're free standing as well there's the metal baale on this one just to show you they came in lots of colors $4 for the one with the bail is actually a pretty good deal dice key fobs from the local casino we are on an Native American reservation here three Cobalt modern tone shakers a large but strange necklace that the pendant looks like it's supposed to look like the ends of spoons electric candle every ready trademark good look $15 that might be worth getting whale never assume I just bought this cool art deco ever ready it's yes a flashlight but you can use it on a table and you can set it up so every time you pick it up it turns on so it was a nightlight as well and it's cool Deco shape if you're having fun watching link under the dash line in the description of any video we didn't find much in here last time but we're going to just quickly take a look and see if there's anything old again the building itself is a needle building I guess it was the Roy grocery apparently look at that cool Montgomery W mail or see this is what people are doing with laundry bags and old mail bags and things like that they've got a lot of cool things here up display that are not for sale but they have some things for sale as well looks like a very cozy place to hang out with lots of interesting old chairs and nice dinette set love the oval another cute interesting dinette set with chairs I've never seen before I like that set poster blenders but again this is a lot of stuff that is on display here and not for sale few things for sale down here but nothing I need I have to say I just am always surprised when I walk into a place and the conversation that is all about how oh it's not as good as it used to be and we really need more customers and I'm standing there as a potential customer and nobody says a word to me might have something to do with the problem meanwhile I recognize several dealers who come here every year and they seem to be doing just fine so that tells me that there has been a crowd here I see more people pulling in and let's see what Antiques and things look like downstairs here I have not seen this place before a regular sprinkler sprinklers are popular and collectible 25 is about the right price I think I'm going to have some fun that's a beautiful lamp 250 and they say it's a motion lamp as well in chalkware from the 30s murderer look how cute the Playtime glass set is 175 there and tosy toy Furniture one of my favorite lines of Miniatures to sell is tosy toy Furniture when I was a little boy I played with the cars but the furniture was earlier in time they did this back before the second world war and such cute pieces not a cute price for me to resell though oh yes in the old General Stores you had clear tops and then you reached in and got your product they wouldn't allow that anymore but the tins are great 275 on that this is for boy needles also a store display Beatles card sets if you wanted to break these down and sell them individually there might be a little money in them colored ones as well the cofy loving bear and the ber Chef Japanese TOS from the 1960s battery operated are pretty collectible now beautiful Huntley Palmer tin the 70s era English tins are based on these earlier ones from around 1900 however 275 is a lot of money Li in Te for 69 Green Turtle cigars I've seen that before it's not super rare but it's not super common either and look an edel promotional car little banged up edels were a classic flop in the late 50s $35 for the condition is probably right because it is a harder one to find this is cute 325 and here's another promotional car this one is an Oldsmobile from 1952 priced at 135 the earlier ones are solid bottom like this and they would tend to warp so you have to be careful of that paret it's a gun it's playing it's parachute the pilot escapes and then the par jet goes crashing to the ground so not many of these are left $65 old Pepsi Cola for it's a good one too I don't know that it's $2,800 good in that condition though $39 for the alzer stand and early early digital clock right there we had that idea back in the 1930s and 40s $12 on the Mighty Mouse [Music] SOI this is very cute from the late teens over the for a tie score and you hang your ties from it Gibbs and girls would hang their ribbons from theirs it's only $112 I think because of the baseball Motif as well as being porography it needs a little bit of refinishing but that's easy I think I'll take that all right let's see what we have back here blue and white The Meadows cute little pair of buwa lamps here's another metlock piece this one actually was for the provincial rooster the green rooster they also did Red Rooster $35 on that wall pocket Fenton in the blue $25 for that piece this is from the Union Pacific Railroad and this is the Streamliner 1930s when they introduced the Streamline trains and boy they were meant to indicate speed this looks like it might be an Anthony figure yeah Freeman McFarland okay very good $20 for the koala that is an odd enough piece because we just don't see kalala so that's tempting here's another one of these Loosely painted pieces and they are camark I saw one in the other store as well I do like this work when they were doing their molded wear the floral painting is nice I'm sure there's some room in it and then this actually is pretty under the glaze too and this is Weller's ATA from the early 1900s priced at 75 $60 on the Red Bud by Fran coma here this is Rookwood the little snail shell is 2515 on this the red butd is a good color from the early 50s Mor and Mindy and KS on tap two of Colorado's biggest additions to pop culture in the 1970s another early chocolate tin here Vasser chocolates this is by can Co American $26 even a bunch of Blanco I would love to buy some of this I don't get the feeling that a lot of modernists have been out here because some of these prices are pretty good if you're a collector anyway they're not necessarily cheap enough for me ah and then the Space Needle lighter which is only $18 that is a steel and a half these were done in three different colors now this one's a little worn but you just never see these anymore the Vance brothers who had a bunch of real estate in the area did the Space Needle lights and I am getting that for that price even though it's a little imperfect they came in this color and a silver as well cman Style by Dan that's a pretty piece great color of turquoise let's see what they have on that they are looking for 5750 which is not unfair because the condition on that is really rather good love the deer reindeer for sunkiss but I suspect that there were more pieces that went with that Peyton City made these great pheasants in this really interesting blue color in the 1930s Fenton Burmese that one's only 1750 that's a pretty good deal I might need to take that with me where I'm going some interior panel from a doto car from the ' 50s for $55 cute little trif footed dishes from the 1930s with the cranberry flash decoration but I love that floral pattern in the bottom those are just different another nice Weller piece this is the parva line when they're first doing the scripted signature still doing a lot of hand painting late 20s crab Flower Frog that's a great old piece of Weller for 97 Fran Christmas card 1972 this shows some of their limited edition basis that they were doing that's when the company was at its peak the charger I had a pair of these as bookends once and they were wonderful and they didn't last some cute small vam Regal pieces as well in similar price ranges I always like the design of this it's a Roseville Capri piece typewriter and play tobacco their early custard glass piece with the cansas Consolidated High School on Rose Hill meline Originals a lot of her stuff is very modernist looking this one's more floral Viking strawberry this always sells 15s a little more than I want to pay we'll see if they'll do anything speaking of Tootsie toy all right that was fun nice people they came all the way from Oklahoma and then wow look at all of these there's some really unusual ones this green Crown is hard to find they have 200 on that the strange colors The Olive in the ball jar is really unusual so they've got some really neat stuff you don't see all the time that's for sure well that was really fun one of the gals I bought from recognize me they come up here from Oklahoma I think she saw me when I filmed here a couple years ago when I was selling up here they come all the way from Oklahoma to do this every year and that is loyalty and you know they had great stuff and a few things at good prices that I could afford so what I'm noticing is that white cloud is turning away from being so much of a flea market and being a little bit more of a show I mean there's obviously flea market stuff too but it seems like a lot of professional dealers are taking spaces here all right well hello there we have a greeter at the American Legion how are you yeah well good dog yes all right we're going to go into the American Legion and see what they have now the old Pepsi board is for sale here looks like there's mainly just lunch here there are some old well replacement balls for your lightning rods there and they're even fixing up a building or two here maybe in part because you know twice a year they've got this economic engine if you have a ghost town you're trying to fill the antique business may be the way to do it all right here's our last building this one's been fixed up a little bit and there was a nice fellow in there who taught us a lot about marbles the last time we were we were here so we'll see if he's here or who's all in this building with two floors of antiques it says there's one thing in here too actually I think I'd like to take a look at oh those are handsome musical instruments that's a costume jewelry very color coordinated I see the round version of this a lot from Japan haven't seen the regular shape too often it's only $8 it's very cute people love their butterflies Miro spangle glass Dixie darlin's figurines they're like a resin actually but they are collectible $20 that's a flower power piece at my prices could use some compacts but I don't see anything that really jumps out at me there CL block that was so you could wear your gluts off of your finger so you wouldn't set them down and forget them that's cute but a little too worn on the high points ready to sell the big stuff hi hi there French miniature tall case clock that's cute pretty Victorian Cape here with this [Music] detailing and a little fur this was a funy lady 125 it's velvet well it sure was fun being back in White Cloud again and I did buy some stuff I got some cool things that I think are going to please my collectors at my upcoming shows this summer if you enjoyed this
