he said the person that owned this storage unit also owned a thrift store and right then and there my heart sank to my toes I don't know why he had so much of this stuff so much Pioneer Woman bro Coleman lightweight rust free aluminum Sequoia cooking station more Coleman that looks sealed manufacturers tape I'm still seeing Coleman's just popping up everywhere there's Coleman there all right what we got Phil oh whoa It's a griddle it's a grilling griddle combo I just I think I almost feel like they stole it that's a that looks to be a safe or some type of lock box I'm excited about that this right here this right here all of these these things sell for fifty dollars a piece it's not gold it's not silver but look at this that's 500 this right here pays for everything pays for it all guys pays for it all every bit of it is paid for oh man what is going on here thank you [Music] what's going on guys it's Jason welcome to another episode of Man vs mystery as always we are in the middle of a hallway fortunately a climate controlled storage facility right here 10 by 20 bought this one on storage Treasures for 390 dollars we're gonna crack this bad boy open and see what we've got I hope we make some money are you ready Phil ready he was born ready all right guys so why did I buy this well the sheer volume is one thing and I like I like to put myself in agony sheer volume all the way to the ceiling it's a 10 by 20 but this right here caught my eye that looks brand new this right here looks to be brand new as well this right here looks to be pioneer woman that right there more Pioneer Woman right there so there's really no telling what we're gonna find in this thing um one thing that uh did concern me about this was when I went in to pay for this unit I said how long is this storage unit been here and she said I don't know exactly how long it's been here but the person that owned this storage unit also owned a thrift store and right then and there my heart sank to my toes because I thought to myself okay what did I just get myself into like I figured I just bought a 10 by 20 storage unit full of thrift store donations is what I thought but honestly we don't quite know obviously what's in here but judging by the type of stuff that we can see up here in the front I think we're going to be safe no you can't see in the back you can only see them right right and what you see is clean what I can see is clean and it's uh good quality stuff okay let me take that back this is clean looking stuff not good quality this isn't in particular this is particle board we're gonna go ahead and get some of this furniture up on the box truck and make room so that we can get to the goodies all right although it's on its side this is a really nice entertainment center it's really nice and these right here we've got two Corner cabinets or corner shelves and then we have these two shelves here curio style shelves we haven't even made a dent we're almost doing the box truck up really quick with all this look at here we got another shelving unit here or some type of arm wire cabinet or something I don't know what that is and another one there we got ourselves a rocking chair we got a couple of these bookshelves a little end table there or nightstand yeah so we got ourselves a lot of furniture but I see boxes I see boxes down there so not all hope is lost this is a hopefully we find the glassware to it it's a really nice coffee table if you know anybody in the uh Oklahoma City metro needing some furniture well Jason just came across a lot of it look at here rocker recliner 60 bucks so he was at one point trying to sell this that is actually kind of nice who knows what we're gonna find who knows hopefully there's an end table to this pop table I see a GE double burner sitting right there too so we'll get in the nitty-gritty of it very shortly okay so we got this one out and it I just walked back here and look Coleman screen Haven 14 by 12 in the Box unfortunately she said that the light in here does not work so it's going to be kind of dark a little bit look at that is it brand new guys this thing is brand spanking new never been used wow look at that 14 by 12 screen that's incredible there you go what you think about this Phil brand new time yeah yeah without the mosquitoes I'm not sure what these are but let's try and get but I think this is it this if there was ever a time right now would be it this is crazy I don't know what we've got in store back there but uh there's definitely a lot of stuff that guy's headless oh cookie tin and turned it into a lamp so that's actually pretty intuitive this felt really interesting to me it's full of stuff and I just wanted to see what's in it so Phil Pokemon cards training what's the date on it does this have one probably not could have a copyright date somewhere 1981. man that was a little while ago wasn't it and then underneath here I'm pretty sure more kids books and a speaking spell Texas Instruments speak and spell and has the book with it as well so I thought that was pretty cool down here we've got some lamps some glass lamps down there got some just random kitchenware items here this looks like a bathroom box got a lot of stuff that has to do with perming your own hair hair dryer stuff this and that right here I thought was pretty interesting we got a lot of figures in here and there's really no telling what else we're gonna find in here I can't imagine finding a bunch of gold and silver in here just because um you know this person was a reseller and I'm imagining that that kind of stuff is probably already gone oh man what's going on here oh buddy look at that wow but in Japan this is gorgeous stuff that is beautiful oh yeah I like that there's probably more down there I see more yep I wish we had all the time in the world but I really don't guys um how about six storage units in one week and we're only allotted so much time to go through it or to to get this stuff loaded up and out of here so I do have to pick and choose my battles wisely when it comes to what I can show here and what I can't only because the time constraints I certainly don't make the rules if I did I'd have a lot more time to uh to deal with this and be able to show you guys everything but it's just simply not look at this we still have so much left so much left in here I don't know what time it is but we probably only have about 30 more minutes here before we got a jet so we're gonna focus on getting the stuff that we've just shown you on the box truck we got a lot of bags of clothing and stuff that we just didn't feel necessary to show you guys I really don't feel like uh digging them out of bags and then not having bags to replace it with so that it would just be loose everywhere so I didn't want to do that so far I'm really liking this unit today is day number two at uh this big 10 by 20 storage unit I pulled a few things out here that we've that are just kind of large and in the way starting to find some really cool items take a look at this so here is a cabinet that was uh had things stacked on top of it and behind it we got I've got to try and get the big furniture items out of here and on the truck first before we start stacking and packing a lot of stuff that we've got back there now I did go through some of this off camera the last time we were here we just loaded up bags and bags of clothing it looks like we've got a ton of clothing back here but there's also some other things scattered throughout that are worth mentioning and showing you guys but for the most part the clothing is just going on the truck still got a lot of stuff down here that we need to go through and this thing's pretty heavy I think there's stuff in it that we got to move out before we get it on the truck let's just take a look okay yes we do have some stuffs what do we got here playing cards empty empty empty empty empty and here okay whatever that is tell me that's not real okay that's about it that's not real wow what are these huh these must be some type of I don't know if those are too big to be milk caps I don't know of stuff in there look at this guys over here just a bunch of teal kitchen utensils teal color got a low profile single burner stove Coleman right here check this out guys These are nice I mean it's just home decor this is a really nice lamp you got a little small Globe down there another lamp and a couple other pieces of Home Decor box of books there like I need more books guys this right here this right here look at all that all of these these things sell for fifty dollars a piece on eBay the tall ones we have one two three four five six seven eight nine ten ten of them ten of the tall get this stuff out get these two big pieces out this is actually the bottom half of this cabinet and so I'm gonna get all of these these two big pieces out here so that I can work on these we'll end up getting those boxes next and looking through those guys we forgot to go through the safe I drug this out this thing weighs a ton it really does it weighs a ton and it's old it's just an old safe so these are Lincoln Logs or what they are but a bunch of logs there over here a lot more of kind of the same as the first couple of boxes right right here look at that y'all all these old Golden Books kids books wow that's a lot a lot of Golden Books right before Christmas Christmas Story Three Bears that's a 39 Cent Golden Book holy cow got some more sewing well not sewing but crafting stuff looks like a lot of crafting stuff sewing patterns this whole bag here Plum full of this stuff crazy we got clothing in here some milk glass down here got some boots I thought this was neat look at that it's a butler rack on a high back chair and I see something Coca-Cola down here we're kind of starting to get into I think the thrift store stuff not sure what we're gonna have got a couple rugs here there's a rug down there as well so what I'm gonna end up doing I'm gonna end up loading most of this up if it's some if I find something interesting I'll pop in and show you guys but it's about time I get this sucker cleaned out so we can go on to the next one
