THEY NEVER CAME HOME Incredible Untouched Abandoned French Mansion A Look Into The Past

wonky 1572 or 1872 that's 1881. there it is jesus this place is massive so welcome back to the channel and we brought you back to france this place is super special it's a big chateau this place is incredible it's like a palace in here so i'm super excited to show all you guys around because i don't think you've explored a place quite like this before there's a lot of rooms there's a lot of rooms we travel to the south of france in the humid summer heat to visit a 13th century fortified castle its moats are now dry and its drawbridge long gone his south and west wings were transformed during the renaissance creating much of what remains here today it has been home to the same family for decades passed down through the generations the final heir was a successful architect with a passion for his work which is proudly displayed throughout the home as we explore each finely decorated room amongst the heirlooms and the oddities we discover mysterious symbols and hooded cloaks perhaps the mark of a secret society what will come of the rich history within these walls and the irreplaceable contents each room trapped so far back in the past [Music] [Music] join us inside this prestigious restored castle and find out what other secrets it holds inside [Music] so this would have been the front door at some point but as you can see it's completely sealed up now or broken painting frames and stuff this is pretty cool it's like an old coat hanger still some jackets on as but well us is the staircase and it's phenomenal it's even a grandfather clock on the staircase but we're not going to go up here we're going to do the bottom floor first there's a really nice sink in the corner of this room do you know where that's made from but some sort of marble or something very nice graveyard oh a field of stuff things are like personal documentaries and they might have addresses on and stuff but look that's here no oh no no it's not actually is it might be one of the outhouses i don't know maybe and there's a postcard for a different place the stairs cupboard is that doing this one for us does it go down no it's literally just filled with stuff that's insane it's not often finding shut this door wow that is huge wow everything is left in places all the looks of things it's just marble and phenomenal woodwork everywhere you can see this would have been a paint in gold oh yeah at some point there's a proper bando in here don't it's got a proper abandoned house it does it smells so old look at that i've never seen anything like that i've never seen wood work like that not even at national trust places yes um fabric yeah they used to do that didn't they a lot i think wow what a shelf to fill i'd fill that with amazing gemstones yeah that is amazing look at this cloak oh my god that's like a proper um wizard's cloak it's like some sort of secret society mansion do you think like uh yeah not like similar to masons or something maybe oh my god it's crazy oh the dishes on the wall still oh sam scared when they got married or something probably that's fine i don't know why they got hot though oh i thought there's gonna be a spider but no it's pig's nose it's a shame we can't open the french shutters this place is dark in here but um you can still see it anyway beautiful room i think this is one of the nicest abandoned rooms you've ever seen look it's still the nuts it's like um a whole grain so i'm gonna take these plates off and look on my black back because they look like the real chinese ones but they do golden too yeah i don't want to touch them who's this i'm christopher s de beaumont oh beautiful [Music] so before we take you to the other nice parts we're going to take you into like the back dingy or alleyway parts of the chateau which actually leads to the kitchen for sale you can actually peek a boiler room yeah well that's super cool but this chinese set is everywhere oh yeah it's all from the seams they've mended that a lot because they use the oral guide for that god there's so many ways to go is that a basement there's a way outside i think down the stairs we'll check that out afterwards look this is like a little tour room yeah oh it stinks in here it's pretty cool i know it's a dead end on there huh depending i can see it over the top though a screwdriver oh maybe it was a door at some point look at the cobwebs over there they are thick it's all damp in here yes that's what all that smell is wooden yeah this is where they used to hang their clothes to dry big freezer hmm i wonder if that's got anything in it yeah i don't want to open that i've done that one too many times here we go then it's like it doesn't fit the rest of the house it's not as fancy is it but i guess back then they would have this would have just been for servants yeah it's like a ham cutter uh do we keep going this way there's nothing through there really no no not really it's like storage oh never now what that can't be real though it's an actual spider yeah oh my god oh look at this i've never seen the spider that big enough no it's legs are so long look at that next oh my god my head was right oh no let's get back to the other apartment yeah just quickly show everybody yes that stinks it smells different in every room and each one is as terrible as the last wow yeah look at that lovely the old sink seems like a farm vibe it does because it's the old door look at that yeah you can really tell how old this place is these old stone rooms i wish i never saw those spiders still all the stuff in the kitchen cabinets like balsamic vinegar vinegar oil maybe old food oh yeah oh my god that came out of there then you're scared now because there's spiders aren't you yeah that's some old food i didn't touch it mom there's some more over here anyway 2015 ooh look at that jar i think 2017 is the data is when it's abandoned everything's before 2017 yeah with this sort of style as well like so old-fashioned it's all different types of pasta earlier we saw pasta in the shape of some mini sombrero we should have brought that pasta so i think it's time to head out of this kitchen it's super grimy and dirty i feel like a spider's crawling all over me that's good to be a friend many years of use yeah look at those uh switches it's weird they've got holes to like put stuff in dimmers it's pretty fancy this place the back of the main staircasing listen you can hear the wind howling through this place sounds like a thousand ghosts i can't wait to go upstairs look at this thing yeah it's like an old screw sort of screwing thing doesn't it wow it was crazy and surely some of these must be like first edition books and stuff this is a proper library even with one of those old look it's like harry potter steps to get up to the top i've never been on one of those no go on it oh man is so cool imagine having this in your house booze hmm wow it smells alcoholic more books [Applause] look at them all it's like a series of books and then they've just got them all cornered your desk synthesis it looks just like it didn't it but it's much smaller it's not this is chateau something else it says on the back what it is maybe even that one as well the horde cupboard what room is this i know look at this it's just sloping oh yeah look at those massive ones wow that's like what we opened in the lobby there someone's took it out of here let's go to the other desk there's a lot of the french flags on each side this is such a nice room what the hell it's ivory there's an old um statue blaster's full let's come off something a wand if you find that that's the screwdriver dress look this is where he would sit yeah take a seat yeah the lady the lady of the house how does it feel how does it feel like that fine office so i'm at the ladder i'll just give you a look some of these ones at the top you never get to see these usually probably haven't been touched for years most of them whoa another look in the drawers of the desks old film it's hard to make it oh that's like photos of the house it's all pipe case never seen one of those no i've never seen one of those look at that that's super cool in it paris nothing really going on in here such old photographs jesus over there oh yeah there's a bad days on it what's that here the roof looks very nice no imagine if they had like a ton of toes they owned them all that's what i'm thinking [Music] what's going to be next wow wow that's crazy is this what they would call like a drawing room maybe oh no fossils wow it's like clumsy look [Music] that's pretty cool look at that one it's a big boy do you think someone's taken some of these yeah this was probably fun yeah it looks like a bit scary all the good stuff's gone look at this what is that some sort of sea creature look it had a label it has an old collection label on it yeah but look oh look salmon fossilized it's weird it's like a hormone i'm not sure oh yeah wow hey that's nice you know i wonder when that's from and i wonder where types of fossilized wood but none like that it's very stone in there it's not madagascan it's not arizonan not sure maybe it's european wow i wonder what else used to be in here i bet there's some amazing gemstones there what's that oh just a cupboard that four was a basically looks like a dungeon and then a doorway to dundee i can't get over this room there something pure family crests and stuff gryffindor gryffindor wins not that's an old one 1880 wow hey maybe that's the uh the last person in the deck because i think there's modern photo in here it looks about looks more modern too yeah glass lettuce dresses here so be careful oh yeah wow this wool behind that door let's see all the cabinets look at that with the marble top inlay work completely full of documents someone on a boat ride oh yeah i wonder where that is then black and white i love the use of rugs in this house yeah i noticed that in the library too they just put like loads of really nice ones there's any chairs in there aren't there so for sofa tables chairs chairs yes over there and just look at the light look at that that's 3d this place i don't know how much this is worth like millions mm-hmm all of this stuff's left oh look oh there's more fossils maybe that was a family member maybe virgo virginum this fossilized coral you can still see the structure in it it's very soft though so it would have been like a sponge a mess i'm not sure sort of fossil this reminds me about mammoths to finish what i mean yeah layers another french flag stairs weird stairs yeah there's a door and it goes up a long way and there's loads of fossils by your feet mum as well jurassic and that sunstone another pipe case little drawing board yeah how well worn that is oh yeah they obviously used it then it wasn't just for sure no but that big part isn't in there opinions are missing aren't they yeah i wonder what they would have been wow so is that another door oh yeah there's another one there it's going to look see look you're obviously going to start film working there yeah how weird oh what a bedroom oh look at this it looks like we just walked into a doll's house yeah it does document this is like the child's room it's very pink it's messed up this is so cute there you go fire look it's like a little room above with a window oh yeah look like i found a um key on the bed it's a table you can play chess on this is this looks a lot like all the little houses around here signatures on the back oh yeah just doing this one what room my little bedroom another fossil now everywhere it's weird it's all like um jurassic sea things wow why do they have all these photos of postcards from different places different chapters look at that artwork on the book pages pick that big one up oh my god that's cool wow i've never seen that before no open it up man i like the beds like this yeah i like that it's cozy this is very nice do you think they were all something to do with the church and stuff because i think just people were very religious back in the day weren't they yeah but there's like a nun in the other room and yeah it seems like personal food to have look at that wow be careful i love that so this door goes up to that staircase in the room which takes you up here which leads to the where the main staircase goes so i think we'll leave this little staircase and just take the main one but before we do that there's a bathroom in there look at that it's pretty handy right next to your bed with a bath and everything oh yeah that's cool very cool look at the soap's still there mum yes rotten let's check out these stairs i'll show you the room above the bed but we won't go all the way upstairs whoa whoa sam what a funny design oh all right yep oh look yeah here's where the stairs what the hell i'm bobbling all over the place is this like none of these stairs in the street it's like a wine cellar room let's have a look look at this all of this right behind the bed above the bed yeah above the bed yeah there's wine bottles in there what how strange and a boiler it's weird that they can laugh that would have just looked straight out into the room this is cool so yeah this leads upstairs but we'll take the main staircase we'll probably end up back here anyway [Music] so this bookshelf is like too deep as well so many books look at this i think they're soldiers it looks so cute it means like cadets yeah 27th october 1935 it's world war two back the grand staircase let's go up yeah i'm just doing it i'm excited for this one i don't know what flag that is it's like half the italian place guys like a military man stranger things yeah it's actually like stranger things i wonder what light used to be on face it's before it was all one family wouldn't it really like weirdly enough that is in 1915 lots of religious things headphones look there's one thing in there notes look at that right in 1905 oh i does look it's legs they were fancy you went through back in the day oh some people were because the company this floor is just buckling as well in so many places mattresses galore i think this one was just empty yeah it looks like it see a weird contrast i like it though yeah there's not much going on here anymore look the lights were bows i mean arrows the hell where will these come from oh yeah two single beds wow yeah where is this stuff now probably a museum probably still in the shark too because a lot of shuttles aren't museums now yeah and they're left the same i'd like to visit some actually yeah be good good actually to see them look you can see how the wallpaper used to be bright red and obviously had a painting on it it's faded and then all around us yeah oh yeah that's where the painting yes it's preserved castle on the hill anything in there toilet and bathroom does it can you get through to this next room yeah shower that's modern pardon you can't no you can't get to that room no way oh son look at this oh wow how crazy is this room that is where the door is blocked it's locked from the other side 1705 where's that one here yeah it's a new day i think i've seen so many books in one place these look even older i would love a bed like that yeah the secret door oh it's a cupboard all right wow i love this bedroom me too what history of france revolution this is like notes like notes about different yeah they're obviously stunning because there's books there sometimes in college literature and stuff like that all right that is cool books in the drawers the places just keep giving it does okay that was a really cool room it's one of my favorite bits i think i've ever seen yeah me too i'll tell you where this goes what um you know when you go in that pink bedroom and you come up the stairs yeah this is where it comes to go back another way and then do the attic yeah go the other way now how is this room office at some point maybe oh yeah it's closed it's like a man's office isn't it it looks like plans but it's funny shape yeah it's not this place i don't think red little bathroom [Music] oh yeah is that it no yeah i think that i think that is it maybe see if i can find the kitchen they were obviously maybe that's why there's so many photos of chateaus maybe they were yeah the builders the design in the chateaus designing them sorry yeah that is so cool oh my god [Music] look at this bedroom all these bedrooms are just mind-blowing look there's another one there yeah look they've framed them and everything's they're so proud of what they've done that's obviously the most recent family crap yeah all the patterns and colors just go together so perfectly look at this this is lovely that's like a proper royal like from those photos cool view out of the front there's quite a lot of buildings over there i guess that would have been for like the servants and stuff so the attic bomb kids gamer through the bathroom long hallway a bit more modern much more modern k2r i love the keto look another wardrobe i guess this is like the linen cupboard i've been living in the building another bathroom next door to each other oh yeah toilet gotta get outside to get uh the drone shots before the sun sets quickly whizz around the rest of these rooms there's much left to see this one's completely empty it's weird isn't it the hell is that i don't know so many rooms this is the last room another bedroom surprise wow it's getting rotten up here in it what a waste [Music] this massive roof this place has wow [Music] there's a really really old toilet there where you stand just about wraps it up it's like a storage room oh look it's old storage stored food damn that door is locked so we'll go back up to get out so yeah what's in this part of the building see if i can find a way in is that car ah hmm like a workshop i guess wood storage oh bikes well tires so the house is actually above this when you're walking down that long 60s corridor so god knows what's in the rest of these buildings probably barnes so guys that's the end of that video what an experience to be able to see an abandoned building like that that is phenomenal
