UNTOUCHED Abandoned House BEAUTIFUL French 3rd Generation Family Home

[Music] on the wealthy street in france unkept hedges and a rusty iron gate stand out on this row of gated mansions rustic charm meets tasteful elegance inside this three-story home [Music] each room seems to tell a different story [Music] a homely feeling is still present even after three years family portraits peer back from all corners showing a family of three a military man a mother with a passion for horse riding and their son after growing up and starting his own family the son eventually inherited the house and moved his wife and two children into his childhood home starting a whole new chapter but even after the decades of memories the house now begins to decay becoming more and more expensive to revive leaving it frozen in time just a memory of what once was a beloved family home what's going on everyone and welcome back to the france and belgium road trip and it's the next day it's day number two right now we're outside our airbnb we've actually stayed up in there it's actually quite nice i really liked it i forgot to film it but it was a nice place it works like this houses old like garage or something maybe it's different from the right yeah it's weird you always have one of these outside of your place in france we're about to take you to another phenomenal abandoned location i'm super excited for this one fingers crossed we can make it inside so what's going on guys and we've made it to this incredible i guess there's a chateau yes manchester house yeah but this place is beautiful really really beautiful but they started building work fair few years ago and it never got complete so it's like you'll see anyway some stuff is like piles of stuff and other rooms are just completely frozen in time here we are at the front door to this lobby how beautiful that is really nice typical french decoration but really really old books already beautiful furniture as well look at this floor too oh yes top floor some of these are old i don't want to open it yeah you can see so they obviously started clearing this place out and then it's stopped most of it's left in there there must have been so much stuff what should we do let's have a good look at this horse they were definitely hoarders wow but look at that is it peacock or i don't know touched on a log yeah still got the carpet going all the way up the stairs which is kind of rare to see actually there's curtains i really like that beautiful look look at the shoe horn oh yeah still uh cute hanger they're a basement yeah oh yeah that's going to be interesting just the chances of it being a wine cellar yeah look at this curtain so nice wow look at this glass yeah it's just looking at that it's actual glass i don't know actually yeah it is wow it's got chip purple chips yeah it's cool everything's moldy in here it is it's decaying this place really bad why do we go first i think we're going to the main living rooms first yeah we'll do that with a half let me do about half and then we go upstairs wow see everything's still here look how old fashion this is it smells really old as well didn't it it smells like a weird museum i've been to before yeah a bike race oh if you breathe in with your mouth but unlike breathing air for your mouth you can like taste it yeah sorry she told me to do that wow that is a nice one so delicate lola you couldn't pick that you wouldn't even want to pick the lid off no no no getting covered in cobwebs enough yes and so nothing's been walked for for ages oh that spider those really nice marbles awesome got like banding in there yeah typical french chairs mm-hmm what's broken happen it's got like chateau stuff even though it is more of a mansion really yes oh yeah because chateau just kind of stands for castle crosstalk yeah i guess this is sort of shutter looks like a cross section of like a sea creature big two windows fireplace you got family photos it's probably your son yeah their child or something for them when they were younger the molds didn't come in in here whatever happened to the plants you can see really old work equipment outside that's obviously just been left it's a lovely vas these lovely rocks as well hey i didn't even look at the centerpiece look at that for a book wow 12.99 12. no it can't be 1999 it's wow too old 256. what is this so football this might be their grandkids or unless he was like a teacher or something like that wow look at these old portraits so it's in the original owner probably his father granddad he's in the war mm-hmm wow [Applause] what's that in here i don't think it is is it doors no that's obviously them though yeah they're grandparents too oh look this is actually a photo album school photo how smart they always 1917. wow oh she said she's from belgium yeah no wedding photos oh look at all the bridesmaids i wonder when they got married then oh wow these are lovely photos this is the wedding book kept it in the lounge all the time you so should have dated these good memories and this is another sitting room grandkids out there somewhere look in these drawers documents it's probably used to entertain people in here play the piano oh look how decayed that is now there's such a bad damper problem maybe we'll find out why when we get upstairs yeah 2003 hey look i received it might be an explorer 2018 could be abandoned since then maybe not sure that's a well used seat look at this damn this is grand in here look at this fireplace fun golden mirror these are really nice look at the cobwebs candle holders lovely room so big he's obviously disabled or something oh yeah or we had a broken back at some point yeah this is so spacious and nice isn't it yeah especially if i had all the french shells open it'd be lovely 1867 it says i'm not a nurse wow someone probably made it then nice i think it's time to check out the other half of the downstairs [Music] i can't get over the staircase it's so nice i love this room this whole mirror and backdrop looks so abandoned looking closely it's actually engraved with flowers and stuff oh yeah it's a lovely girl i think those two would have been like their best rooms i think so yeah for guests and stuff and i think this would have been the dining room maybe you can see it it was like almost packed away oh yeah before i didn't quite finish it hey he looks like you and you were young no i have a double room yeah that 2017 calendar 2017. yeah i don't know what this is i think it's a mattress on the dining table so we'll look at some of these family photos anyway that really does what they use them some of these look like they are here that looks like the same mat i know that's what i thought but different doors the walls are different aren't they yeah are 2017 though yeah it's a few years quite well five years seems about right really they must have been living in here with mold though yeah upstairs you see that they were hoarders as well starting to decay oh spiderwebs put off something a really old furniture oh yeah hey keep it going look a little cut oh it's very tight here oh look at this lovely clock someone playing a heart hey look all the perfume is there in there yeah yeah you should smell it hold this do you think these are posh what's that like covered in cobwebs it's nice oh it smells like the airport one day we have to smell that guys oh there's a real live spider on that one so that was the dining room super nice we do this little back room wow it's my chlorine shut up so we've kind of worked out this kind of little story of this house the original owners the original mother and father the father was in the war not sure much about the lady of the house at that point in time but then they had a child they had a boy who then carried on living here and inherited the house once they passed away then he had two children and he lived here with two children and after that who knows what happened your back room look at this tile look how clean it is it's like dirty but it's like clean at the same time really cool wow i love the gold medals elegant oh yeah look at this untouched it's a good tobacco ball everyone's touched a thing in that there it's a mouse drop in there that's so heavy it's marble brass oh god you know what else used to be in here you can see where the boat was oh yeah they're probably the photos stacked up in the other room look that's this would have been their new oven oh yeah how weird it's never been unpacked that's an expensive oven yeah really good so this up to here is like the main house when you're outside and this is almost like built on yeah it's like an attachment sort of thing like a barn everything's still left though in there little paintings it's even signed i like this one it's like the same artist of course like really cramped in there in there this is the small part of the house all of the ladies shoes it must have been the lady left oh yeah [Music] that they've painted the wall to try and make it look like a marble that's really well done that wall yeah it is you could do that jess definitely wouldn't come out oh look at the kitchen wow like a real old country kitchen i like it i like it too someone's been smoking up in here yeah like you can see outside there so yeah it's been it's been like this for many years building side like this look at these really old scales oh yeah this stuff's probably been here for years oh yeah definitely the parents lived here oh fireplace is a big one closer [Music] felix scribbles from probably the kids it's the old um bed warmer mm-hmm this lantern the kitchen crockery cool droopy tax avery long lost relative these are all disney stuff oh yeah all of it is oh no that's not disney who's tom and jerry now and this is um so warner brothers or something now oh yeah i can't remember now drop it down in the comments guys hey everything smell the wood of this lovely into this last final room then look up i know gotta be careful when we go upstairs more this little room another kitchen oh this is the proper kitchen oh yeah wow the old school ovens though i wonder they needed a new one what a shame that they bought and never got to use it look at all of these oh nice they're like collectible those aren't they yeah on american pickers they love them don't they yeah it looks like they've been dug up some of them like real old last but seen some years in there it's got these 70s out sure drop it down in the comments guys yeah this is where you can really see it's like almost like a building site you know how different is this to those first two rooms this is like a country house hey look one of those horrible things you like constantly reuse the things well you try your little store workshop sort of area oh it's cobweb heaven in here man oh my gosh that's the smallest washing machine i've ever seen oh what the hell i didn't even see that kenwood mini it was like a kids one is that like all the horse stuff there oh yeah it looks okay maybe this was in the middle of the country the floor's gone through the middle of the countryside at some point it's very country isn't it yeah i mean behind us there is fields and fields so yeah this all could be new in the main road safe oh yeah massive safe the kettle is tools in the order cabinet oh i was hoping for a gun in there then you know it's a matte whacker oh man it's mostly we're not any taller i'm getting wrapped in cobwebs right now oh let's go upstairs just notice they had their own water pump in the kitchen of course whoa it's dry what's in here there must be a water button here actually oh that's cool so battling through all the cobwebs to get out of the kitchen we're now gonna head upstairs [Music] all right time to go up the stairs this beautiful carpet still left painting signed as well oh yeah camel this is such a cool staircase look at that down there too wow it's up again i love the curtains they've put in very warm sort of pumps yeah ah so many rooms these old bugs there's a squeaky thing keeps putting us on edge did you get that outside then yes first bedroom wow oh left the wall is gone and the window's gone but this is all just how it works crazy balance isn't it really it's like buildings i've got a tone capsule at the same time it's lovely left the picture's hair dressing table hey look we had a little secret sink i didn't get this all the plaster rendering stuffs off the wall but like the rug is still here and stuff like yeah that's really it must have took all of this done looking like this yeah what a weird place to start no yeah look at that though you can see it would have been the country house wouldn't it the horse is out there oh yeah they just think this probably at one point we've gone straight out into there yeah look this is all a part or is it a wall what was that building at some point oh yeah that could have been an attachment to this you know it's lovely out there wow just how's that smell still doesn't even know the windows are through lovely room to the next one what's under here don't know if there's glass in front of coho it's just a cabinet you can hear something oh yeah hey look it's all their gums those are really nice gowns you must like them collecting them that toilet's just going and going electric's off with the water's on weird oh cool i even put a picture of a boy wing in the toilet [Music] i like this this is cool really nice little box as well i want some gowns like that chandelier you ready to go in that bedroom whoa oh my gosh this is so old look it is like they were doing building work though isn't it unless there was a tapestry up now i couldn't put all the way along really strange no way call this rubbish i don't i think i've ever had this many cobwebs on me my whole life yeah they are everywhere aren't they this is a beautiful bedroom it's like [ __ ] time oh look all our old jewelry alert fairly wealthy i think they were all this stuff is really nice this lovely bed pink fabric it's really big actually i don't know it's like a three person bed it's a really nice decorating what's that date 1936 i can almost quite like it with the walls that's really weird yeah pretty cool that's what most people put up as wallpaper for like an abandoned building that's like nice yeah i wouldn't have the moon as far it's nice what else we got in here ink pots oh yeah right holy water i like this room a lot oh yeah beautiful [Music] no one's color-coded all the time this bed must have been pressed up against there i think oh yeah maybe this is the child's room i think so it's got a base in there oh wait maybe the bed was here oh yeah looks like the bed might have been underneath all of this i just don't understand what they were doing to the walls unless that was rotted yeah that's exactly what this is the dump that's why yeah so they started to to try and renovate it because it's massive sink i bet you were up involved whoever lasting to start taking the stuff down realize how bad it really was yeah just leave it probably wow look everything's in here oh yeah yeah what a shame too much of a job isn't it it's a waste please open it's the main bathroom whoa mirrors everywhere double sink shoehorn oh this floor man yeah it's probably the west when we could have come in look at that whole unit look yeah it's like doctor's tools man all the different scissors shaving stuff lots of brushes and now i shoot horn makeup bath salts i guess they were just hoping to like redo a few of the walls and carry them living in me yeah like do the work while they were living here these little bits in the cupboards you would gradually do over the years last room until we go upstairs here double room oh yeah shame sit like this another ship seems like someone's into ships maybe he was the french navy the granddad oh yeah oh that's the word for a name this is going moldy as well it's going to be wasted that's nice hey look this is books holy water eiffel tower a little count counting thing wow look at those binoculars look they took this wall down without even moving them this is what i mean it's really weird it's really confusing this place [Music] oh my gosh that's like the massive desk ever your stuff they've covered some stuff haven't they really valuable stuff oh wow look at that instrument i didn't even realize that's what that was trumpet trombone i don't know totally wrong what does it say look made in paris or something like that wow that is nice there we go that looks better where's this come on from baby first lots of religious stuff up here and i sort of had a nice map too i must do the shutters again yeah it's not like the classic wooden franchise is it yeah metal in here it's a bit different on the outside really isn't it yeah i like it yeah remember wow i guess wow [Music] different kind of mat here oh i just put my hand in there what are you doing i don't know he's been hiding in the cupboard for some reason oh i think she was hiding him from the parents maybe he'd come around to see her look all the kids are like what wow so why do you think about the tuna it's so big up there for the third floor the rats have been up there yeah yeah what the hell what oh what is that smell you can't smell that stinks of dead birds why is this from like a christmas present what this is like uh wow it stinks of dead birds you can't smell it look there's something living in the roof a big animal oh yeah a big bird that's me i wonder what this room was keys loads of keys oh no they're key rings collecting key rings what a weird room look at this old tv but this is a girl's run oh yeah maybe extra storage for her extra clothes maybe but don't you think there's probably a bed in here or something oh that is a bed but i don't know just because i think there's a ton of dead birds in the roof dragon that's what it smells like stinking in it records bait holding oh yeah yeah look traveling it may it stinks so they went skiing or something yeah i've never seen a room decorated with wallpaper and a roof like that yeah i think it is it looks like wrapping paper how bizarre the stint is yeah how old this place really is i know yes i'm looking at that in the corner teddy oh my god help it's falling over why is that so unsteady careful dress i'm going to end up crushed under the wardrobe then hey look a thermometer 21 degrees right now on here look at this wow pretty pink room oh cobwebs this is a this is the girls one as well maybe oh yeah look at that paper and stuff i think this was like seventh quarters yeah or maybe 10 guests yes they're everywhere spiders are gonna cross the whole room that's a lovely scene there mm-hmm lovely abandonment scene you didn't get abandoned buildings are you doing france mom no it's the style i think it just complements the abandonedness there's just so many time capsules as well you just never run out it's like a big blood stain on that bed hey another sewing machine whoa it's a little one look at that dirty old window hey look it's the graveyard i don't know if you guys can even see that it's a huge graveyard what a weird view what's that oh look it's an old out bed oh my god fancy stain on that is old as the house more clothes ties and stuff fancy hunting stuff look all this stuff wow that was a massive chandelier at some point oh yeah couldn't have been here shortly no i would have you wouldn't be able to get past it there's a horrible horrible smell up here we've got smell in here yeah that's not hot no that's laughing something it's horrible michelle what's the name though i saw that downstairs too is that michael yeah yeah miguel he looked like an old school right in the best i like these i always used to wish we had these at school really yeah keep stuff in there and like chisel who you fancy in the top oh my god whose name you would have been chiseling fine little sink yeah it smells horrible in here whoa now that is a storage heap what the i can't even begin to go through this it's so weird to think of the point look they're just throwing dining room chairs on top of the mound empty room and i think it's probably a culprit of all the dumb oh no yeah yeah they've had to take everything down in here they've done such you know this isn't this would have taken a lot of work to then just it probably just it's like opening it it is once you start removing stuff you start finding more and more problems and then you run out of money and then it gets like this like this an amazing place head back downstairs i think [Music] one last place the basement is basement time the amount of cobs up here there's gonna be a ton down there damn it well ladies first there's a breeze coming up it's the whole thing martini we've got some preserved food already oh yeah boy it's a wine time [Music] it's very deep no way quite a lot of wine just for a small house well what oh god you scared me then why you saw something yeah for just a mansion you know this is a lot chris cook hiding in the basement if it's crisco i wouldn't mind it wow a lot of wine this is a lot of wine look this is like the secret um the locked part this is the expensive one cool that's incredible tons of stuff it's weird didn't it they fill the whole basement with this look at it it just goes back spooky down here it's cold can we get down that part or i think it's just a little room yeah yeah it looks oh yeah there's another generator in there that's all out to the real world let's get out of the stinking basement they were just saying let me see each other it's so nice in an abandoned building it just feels like nothing else is going on yeah outside and no one's gonna come in and disturb
